[ Angela was usually better at being cautious. There had been several times in Deerington where something had happened to the food and yet somehow she always seemed to end up in the same situation. It was frustrating really. However, her young companion was new and she watched as the girl ate with a vigor. She too took bites, though perhaps not as quickly, which gave her time to notice when the girl suggested that she had been poisoned.
As usual the scene that Deerington had created was beautiful, but it was obviously just another rouse and she cursed herself for daring to eat anything at all. For the moment her head was not quite as foggy and she barely noticed the effects, but she was worried about the other girl. She hurried to her side. While perhaps not a real angel, she may have looked the part with the white outfit she wore and the attached glowing wings. She was however a doctor and given the nature of her injuries and the situation, that was probably even better.
She bent down to her level and offered a reassuring smile. ]
