[He enjoys hearing those pleading words - how could he not indulge them? He holds William's gaze for a few seconds, his smile growing wider and his blue eyes alive with something that's not quite playfulness and not quite malice. Then he reaches out and pushes the doll into William's hand, clasping his own hands over that of his companion for a brief second before withdrawing.

Then the moment's gone and Hickey regains his composure, straghtening out the imprint in his coat left by William's boot.]
Although it is almost a sin to let such fine handiwork go to waste. [He gestures towards the whole tableu, the tiny William and his intricate little pistol. He knows sin, and he's certainly not wasteful.] Someone put a lot of effort into this.
