[The quick reply about not being out for blood made Crowley almost chuckle.]
I suppose not, or I mightn't have awoken from that dream, yeah?
[He insisted he was fine, but when their hands clasped wrists, Crowley pulled the other man's aches to himself anyway as he helped tug him to his feet. Humans were fragile. That was something he was careful never to forget.
However, before he could finish the question posed to Crowley, the small bird began assaulting the demon as if he'd just tried to eat its eggs. Look, he was a snake, but he wasn't an egg-eater. Or a human-eater for that matter, feathered fiend.
Crowley released the other man's hand and recoiled back, covering his head with his arms. Birds! Little menaces. Yet, something felt odd about this one. Most of the little talon and beak offences landed somewhat harmlessly against the barrier of his clothing, but the occasional scratch and nip made it through to skin. Crowley seemed more focused on covering himself rather than lashing back out at the tiny creature.]
Never met an attack bird before, this is a new one. [The demon quipped, trying to duck and dodge now rather than just cover himself.] Doesn't seem too fond of me. Not sure what I did to offend your winged friend.
[Except those cuts that made it to skin seemed to sting extra deep despite his corporation being somewhat resistant to minor physical damage. What on Earth was this little critter?]
