[There are still things in the house that have Logan's lingering scent on them. In a way it's a comfort, even if things had been complicated — even if her life had been complicated, and left her relationship with her father a very short and tangled web. Either way, she thinks the town's playing tricks with her mind when she catches whiff of a scent that is suspiciously like Logan's. Close, very close — not an exact match, but deja vu nonetheless.
She's just left a store in-town when she caught the smell, and despite learning to be realistic about this town and — well, about life in general — she cannot help but follow the possibility of good news (good news to her; to Logan, she thinks, maybe not so much). If Logan feels eyes on him when he leaves that house with that comfortable bed, it's definitely not in his imagination; Laura's peering from up in the nearest tree, and she's eyeing him with some skepticism.
Luckily, this one isn't a clone hellbent on revenge for Logan's involvement in her existence.
She's also younger and shorter, with about twenty bucks of stolen candy in her backpack.]
