While you are here and if you come across creatures you believe you know, you may find them changed in some way. Maggots do not behave this way in mine either nor are they this large. They should be no more the size of my fingernail and they do not attack those that pass.

They feast on all of the dead, no differently than a beast feeds on fresh meat. It doesn't matter how it came to be dead, meat is meat.
