He's at least thankful to whomever his kidnapper was didn't take his bag or brush from him. So, as he's stepping down the stairs he peeks around the corner clutching the giant paintbrush in both hands. ]

[ So, of course this place couldn't just be creepy; it had to have flesh eating monsters too. Maggoty, flesh eating monsters. That are far too fast than they should be. Ash took to paint skating, his feet gliding on a trail of bright white and purple that he brushed ahead of himself. Every so often taking a look back at the giant creatures that came towards him. They were keeping pace with him and he didn't want to stop and fight if he didn't have to.
Unfortunately, he wasn't paying much attention ahead of him because when he turns to look back ahead he's mere feet from crashing into someone. He lets out an audible gasp and goes to try and skid to a stop, but shouts out;]
Whoooa! Look out!
Painting the town Red
[ Deerington had seemed to hold that same bleakness Denska once did when the darkness came. After everything he went through to clean up the darkness and breathe new life into the town he loved this was more than a little disheartening. But if Luna was here she'd ask him to do the same; help restore this place.
So, he's found a spread of buildings and stands before them. He holds a large brush in one hand and slowly moves it through the air. When he does light and stars come off the end of the glowing brush and onto the buildings as he paints his master piece. Living drawings on the wall as they move and dance about.
Perhaps, you've come across him in mid paint or he's been painting on your house. ]
