We're not, are we? ( there's the quietest hint of laughter in his voice but, underneath that, there's something else at hearing 'we' instead of 'i'm'. the fact that she seems to just automatically include him in with her, no questions asked, is something...good.
but, it's something he's not sure what to do with either. she's his best friend, the person that had always (always) been there for him so talking about them together is expected, isn't it?
