Winter had been paroling the premises. She she had seen random pots of gold around, but like hell was she touching it. She had not been in Deerington long, but she had picked up pretty quickly on the fact that sometimes it was just better to watch and observe before acting. You never knew what this place was going to throw at you. She looked up having heard footsteps approaching.
She blinked as her own ice blue gaze met a pair of mismatched eyes. Something about them was familiar. She had seen that hat somewhere. But that wasn't the important thing. She did not like or trust that blackness. Not that Winter ever trusted anything about this world, but that looked nasty. It unsettled her. Winter raised an eyebrow at the girl's gesture.
"I haven't seen you here before," she stated, breaking the silence. "So you'll pardon me if I decline."
She didn't like that smile either. Her hand stayed cautiously near her weapon.
