but it isn't as though everything always proves to be smooth for her; eventually, one of the front wheels dips into a crack along the sidewalk, catching and throwing her body forward against the pavement in a small roll.
the fall brings a pang of ache along her arm, but her concern is more for her skateboard, head jolting up from the ground to look around for it — seeing it rolling along into an alley where someone stands there in a hoodie.
