[ She follows behind him in a lame attempt to wall up all of the emotions in her voice and expression. If anything, she can keep it all as indifferent as she possibly can. If she can do that, she can easily mask all the unnecessary worry and concern that she has for someone that she potentially knows way too much about.
Out of habit, she takes out her phone and stares at the blank screen for a moment, as if it would give her answers.
It doesn't, of course.
It's just a powered off phone.
But then he asks her a few questions, and finds herself shrugging. ]
