Alex wants to be a lawyer and would be.... tentatively interested in the successfully defending abhorrent murderers and monsters because on the one hand possibly bad on the other hand there are a whole lot of "monsters" that are actually just people of color stuck in a shitty racist system and if that's who he's defending Alex would be like HELL YEAH.

Even though Alex wants to be a civil rights lawyer not a defense lawyer.
