A PACKAGE ARRIVES ON JUNE 10th

On June 10th, all characters will discover a neat stack of sleek black boxes in front of their doorway. These boxes are finely crafted from a soft material and are completely odorless. In houses with multiple characters, all characters will find a set of boxes for themselves.

Upon closer inspection, characters will discover their names written in a lovely, curling gold print in the center of the box. Curved around the name are golden antlers, all stylistically placed. There appear to be three boxes for each character in all.

The smallest box sitting on top contains a formal pair of shoes that your character would personally select regardless of their current income.

The medium sized box below the first box contains a masquerade mask that your character finds matches a part of their personality or maybe their history rather well. It also seems to flow with the rest of the outfit.

The largest box contains a formal outfit that a character would select for themselves regardless of their current income.

On top of this outfit is a simple black card with an equally simple invitation:

JOIN US AT THE GRADY HOTEL ON THE 11th AT 7PM FOR THE ANNUAL SPRING MASQUERADE!

Food and drink will be provided for everyone.

The unmasking will commence at the strike of midnight!

All characters who touch any single item within these boxes will feel a strong urge to go to the masquerade. The more they touch, the more they will want to go, even if they are not the type to go to such things. On the night of the ball, that urge will be nearly violent until they're in their outfits and heading off for the masquerade.

OOC Notes

Hello everyone! Welcome to the beginning of the event! The event goes live on the 11th. It will go live on the 11th but this particular event required a little something to jumpstart it. This also marks the beginning of a new interactive function in the game known as the Dog Keeper's Delivery Service. This page allows characters to send letters or items directly to the Dog Keeper! They might be able to dig for information, or simply engage more with the town. Of course, don't expect all questions to be answered!

Characters will be able to see the Delivery Dogs making their deliveries throughout town. This is how characters can send each other items or letters through the mail. The Dog Keeper will likely send out other packages throughout various game events! Some packages may be helpful, others may not.

The Dog Keeper and their dogs are different than the deer of Deerington and Sodder! Anyone who can pick up on traces of scent will be able to tell this right away! It is very subtle, still untraceable, but if someone with a keen nose is trying to track things, they'll find that there are mild enough differences to suggest a different source between all three.

What's the difference exactly? Well that's part of the mystery.

As always: You do not need to participate in the event or any part of it! Even though the characters are urged to go by their clothing, you certainly don't need to play that out or any other part of the event.

You can all choose what you want your character to wear!

Characters will not see these boxes delivered! They will simply appear.
