For now, at least The Doctor has his human. Or whatever Jack is. Human enough. That has always been the difference between The Doctor and The Master. The Doctor usually having someone with him. Usually, humans that The Doctor can learn from. And has over his many faces learned different lessons from his companions.

Ten doesn't say anything. Only allowing the silence and crackling of the fire to fill the void. The Doctor's face half-casted by shadows is hard. And his eyes filled with fire. And power.
