A crackle of the fire embers. The Doctor holds his gaze directly with The Master. Ten isn't amused at the gleeful claps. It's things, he's done in some past lives. Knowing, that he's still dangerous on a level. That makes The Doctor afraid of himself. The Master being gleeful about this so openly at least helps confirm on a level. They aren't the same entirely.

The Master takes joy in what someone does. When The Doctor's hand is forced to do just as questionable things. Does not take joy. However, does scare someone. Scares someone very, very, much some days at how they're both really the opposite sides of a coin. And at times, The Doctor walks that line a bit too fine.

He won't deny it. Because The Doctor knows, that The Master will be able to tell. However, won't confirm this either.
