The couch is positioned close to a window, and it makes it easy to quietly turn around, careful not to disturb her couch-mate, as she peers out into the darkness. The sound of scraping, not far off from the house, can be heard.
They're safe, inside. But it doesn't stop the ghosts from prowling around outside and peering back in at them. It gives her goosebumps and makes the fine hairs at the back of her neck stand up. ]
