I'll set a trap. When they pick up the pot, it will pull a wire or something that drops a bag of flour on them. Then it'll be easy to spot them and even if they get a head start there will be a trail to follow. Or I could set up a tripwire so that when they come the door slams behind them and they're stuck until I get back home.
