When he returns to the table, Anna is lost in her thoughts and clearly somewhere else as she stares out the window of the cafe. Everything here was different and it was overwhelming. The whole matter of food becomes just one more thing that shows her out of place she is. It's less about the money more the fact that she actually doesn't know how to take care of herself in the working class sort of way. Topping it off is the loneliness that having no one know her or be kind to her brings up.

She snaps out of it with a smile on her face as soon as soon as she hears the tray on the table. "Ooh! That looks amazing." In one of those moments where manners leave her, she reaches over and sweeps her finger through the cream, bringing up it up her mouth and licking it clean. The taste is different than Krumkake in some ways and similar in others, either way it's absolutely delicious and she lets the flavors soothe her anxiety. "I knew I could trust you to pick out dessert."
