[ Kristoff's never done very well with yelling, really. He doesn't know why or where it came from, but the whole idea of conflict was something that made his stomach twist up unpleasantly. He swallows roughly when she starts to yell, flinching when she pulls away and stands. Crap.

He doesn't go to get up right away, doesn't even put himself up on his elbows, and he turns his head away for a moment, taking a deep breath. It's a little sore to do so, but at least it's calming. Hearing her crying makes his heart ache, though, and he hates knowing he caused it more than he hates the way that confrontation makes him feel.

There's a small grunt as he finally pushes himself up, going to slowly get to his feet before he walks towards the tree. He carefully sits down near her, not touching her, but close enough for her to feel he's there. He's silent for a minute, not sure what to say, staring down at the ground. ]

I couldn't watch you freeze again.

[ His voice is quiet, the memory of watching her turn to ice being one of the most painful things he'd ever experienced. He was sure it was more terrifying for her, which is why he'd never really talked to her about it; she'd had enough to deal with. Knowing that this time he could get to her fast enough, that he could stop her from turning... It had really made any risk seem worth it. ]

I'm sorry.
