vasiliy yegorovich ardankin / original — historical/revenant

[ info here; cw/opt out here. ]

Character Name: Vasiliy
Preferred Player Contact: [plurk.com profile] bluehellgazette or grinchhands mcgee#7599.
OOC Limits: Vasiliy can't swim, so he won't be partaking in the Deerington Trench prompt.

Desired CR: Adventure companions, patients, strangers to encounter! Maybe friends? Maybe people to hit on if they fit his pretty narrow definition of attractive? He also does not know how to act around modern kids because their experience is so wildly different from his own childhood, so generalized awkwardness could also be fun.
Unwanted CR: Adopted child dynamic.

Event Ideas:

SKELETONS. I plan on having Vasiliy encounter the very human skeletons of some of the 'monsters' of his own world — this is going to be an extremely emotional and destabilizing experience for him, because some of them will be interrogators who he worked with on a daily basis, people he knew, and he may also encounter the remains of Lavrentiy Beria - a historical figure who sent down the orders to have him and his cadre executed en masse. Please be aware that Beria was a prolific sexual predator and pedophile and Vasiliy learned this after his rebirth, so that may come up in his thoughts when he encounters the skeleton.

DREADFUL DIVE SINKHOLE. I'm really interested in engaging with the exploration/environmental danger of this one - Vasiliy's not the type of person to take unnecessary risks, but he is the sort to tag along with his kit bag if your character chooses to go in there. He's spent his entire life in cities, so he doesn't really have any outdoorsy skills aside from field medicine. Something in which he & your character are stranded in the sinkhole for a time with no way out (twisted ankle? broken rope?) and have to figure out how to escape could be really fun, as well as general highly inconvenient injuries.

CARBON COPY DEERINGTON. This is my exact flavor of creepy shit so I am like 100% onboard for this. Vasiliy is naturally a very paranoid, very guarded person who is keeping several secrets, so the idea of anyone being able to look into his life is going to freak him out. He's most likely going to try and block access to that part of the replica, so your character may encounter him literally boarding up the door to "his" apartment, covering the windows, etc. Suspect shit, in other words. There's also the possibility of him lashing out at anyone he sees "spying" on other people - his upbringing will have him seeing that as a much deeper violation than most people would already perceive it as.
