She shook her head. "No, I'm from the kingdom of Valeria. Which...no one here has ever seem to have heard of." It made her a little sad, sometimes. A little lonely. But there were plenty of benefits to it as well. After all, no one had heard of an Alastrian, either. Which gave her some control over the narrative. And anyway, she supposed, she wouldn't wish this place on anyone she loved or cared about. Perhaps better to be alone, in that respect.
For a moment, she glared down at her heel, before turning her attention back to Luke. Ariadne's glare was a bit like a fluffy, white kitten pretending to be a tiger. She wasn't that scary. It just wasn't something that came naturally to her.
"There's a word I often hear people using. 'Multiverse.' It's some sort of idea about how universes all seem to meet at one point. And that point is Deerington. I can't begin to tell you what sort of science or magic or combination of both might cause something like that." She smiled faintly. "But it certainly keeps things interesting."
