Thanatos will lead the way back into the house. It seems empty the more he walks through it, at least, which assuages anxiety about being somewhere that belongs to someone else. Anyway, his wanderings were just in order for him to set the casserole down on the counter in the kitchen, still regarding it curiously.
There are enough furnishings for him to come back with two pieces of casserole, though the utensils he arrived with were knives and spoons. Surely this will work.
