'Can death sleep?' is a very good question and is what has been bothering him this whole time, so don't mind if he goes rigid a little, the chill running down his spine as he tries to stuff that feeling down again to wherever he'd stuffed it before. 'Time can be strange here' is another odd but appropriate thing he's said. If time is strange and this Orpheus is younger Orpheus, from before he'd died, then perhaps the time spent here simply feels like it's been a longer time but truly it has only been the sleep of a night? Thanatos can hope!
"I can sleep now and then, but I don't indulge in such frivolous things if I can help it. It puts me behind in my work." Hypnos sleeps all of the time! Must be nice, having all that free time. Not that Thanatos would trade jobs for anything, he's always been fulfilled by his task.
The unappreciative wailing from the door and the fact that Orpheus found something is enough to have Thanatos walking over to where the man was on the floor instead of investigating that further. "Shall I lift the drawers? Or find another way around them" With that he holds out a hand, summoning his scythe. It's a silly and mundane thing for such an instrument to be doing, but he can't afford to worry on his pride for now.
