Ariadne shook her head. "To tell you the truth, we don't have quite a lot of things back home like what I've seen here. Some people tell me that I must come from a backwards world."

To which she usually just shrugged. It felt a little bit unkind, but she couldn't argue. She'd gotten rather fond of some of the conveniences of Deerington.

The hot shower was a particular favorite.
