The circumstances involved would be difficult for the bird to describe, for magic and biological imperative combined with the will of the Goddess defied all logic and reason. At the moment, the bird was simply a bird-- a heron, with it's long neck, large wings, and imposing beak as stark an identifier as the pristine white feathers.
