Thankfully for Orpheus(?), most chthonic gods don't really seem too interested in the idea of smiting, and Thanatos is no different. Even if he does get angry for not being obeyed without question, there is no reason to lash out about it! Of course, that only helps so much when he is in the middle of being possessed by some malevolent spirit.
Thanatos growls again when he is tugged on, the spirit inside of him fighting back, though it does not manage to pull away from Orpheus between the singing and Thanatos' own will. His feet plant stubbornly on the ground, the control of the creature, before Thanatos thinks of something. He can float.
Wrenching some small amount of control away, he manages to float himself, so that Orpheus can tug him along easily, like he is some Death God balloon, and the spirit can't do anything about it.
