The floating helps a lot! More than Orpheus is expecting, actually, and when the force of Thanatos bracing against the ground goes away suddenly he has to scramble to stay on his feet. Once he catches onto what's just happened though, he redoubles his efforts to get Thanatos through the door, hurrying the both of them along (hopefully before he runs out of verses to sing).
"Au clair de la lune, On n'y voit qu'un peu. On chercha la plume, On chercha du feu. En cherchant d'la sorte, Je n'sais c'qu'on - Ah!"
With his eyes trained carefully on Thanatos and his focus on singing as he backs towards the door, he doesn't quite judge distances properly, and trips backwards over the threshold, sending them both tumbling through the door -
- and out into Deerington proper. Specifically, the alleyway behind the music store, by the looks of things. Orpheus lies on the ground where he fell, blinking up at the cloudy gray sky, and looks over at Thanatos, warily. "Are you feeling any better?" he asks, sure he'll get an answer soon either way.
