It’s been about a week and a half since he revived, and it finally feels like he’s well enough to function like a human being again. It’s the first day in a long time he’s been able to get out of bed without getting lightheaded, or without choking his lungs out. He still doesn’t feel great but its livable. It’s just an annoying cold, which he can live with.

So that is why Dipper was getting ready for school for the first time in a while. School was ...honestly kind of a joke at this point, but Dipper really needed to get out of the house and school was the easiest excuse. It was a routine he could settle back into, and he needed something like that badly after spending almost half the month in bed.

“-It’s kind of like that weird bootleg game we found at that yard sale, you know? The towns people are just glitching out, clipping through walls and other really weird stuff. I guess no one’s checking homework now,” Dipper says easily into the walkie talkie in his hand while he checks his backpack for his things. This was another important routine and it was one he’d had a harder time keeping up when he could barely talk without coughing.

“That’s fine, I really want to see my friends and being trapped in bed with the flu has been the worst. Anyway, I’ll talk to you later.”
