Unfortunately for Dipper, his trepidation over being effectively tackled is ignored entirely by both his Grunkles. Ford not only scoops the younger set of twins up, he does nothing at all to evade Stan's follow up running hug. All four of them go down in a pile, Ford laughing a delighted and unrestrained laugh as the snow engulfs him. It's extremely cold and snow is soaking into his collar and he's going to have a hellish headache soon and Stan and the kids are heavy and he doesn't care. They're actually all here, together, and that's the part that actually matters to Ford.

Everyone is emotional and crying and that's enough for Ford's laughter to take on a wavering quality and... yeah, he's crying, too. Once again, he simply doesn't care.

"I should get more of those compasses," he manages after a moment, breathless with laughter and voice cracking slightly with emotion. "If either of us had been asleep we might not have noticed for hours."
