Welcome to the game! Post here to introduce yourself and the characters you play. Welcome new players into the game, exchange contacts, get the ideas going, and just have a good time. We hope you enjoy your time in Deerington!

Usually our events occur after applications have been processed, but October's event has already started! Part One has been posted here and you can start plotting with other players in the game here! Part Two is sign-up only and will be posted on 10/11. It will technically begin on the 15th, allowing for a couple days for people to plan! A fresh plotting post will be made for the second part of the event.

So what up Milk here with Margaery Tyrell from that Lord of the Rings spin off or whatever.

Margaery is a literal queen who deserves her throne and the crown that comes with it. She's a power horse of manipulation but in a chaotic good kind of way since she actually does have good intentions 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time she's just smirking over your burning failures. Queen life be like~.

She'll be in a world of wonder @ all this wild technology here but I'm looking forward to getting her situated! She'll be on Princess Drive because I have dumb humor and wondering how to make a lot of money while doing the least and questioning why Deerington doesn't have a queen--and if she can be the queen it's lacking. The usual.

Hi everyone! I'm Charley and I'm new to the game, bringing in this beautiful dumb dumb: Lance from Voltron: Legendary Defender!

Lance is a dork who thinks he's hot shit. In some ways he really is the coolest: he actually earned that sharpshooter moniker, and he's a really awesome friend when people need him most. But he's also kind of an oblivious teenager tripping all over himself as he walks through life and attempts at love and in war. But overall, he's very friendly and can probably get good CR with just about anyone... unless they have better hair than him and hog all the attention.

Anywho, he'll probably be living with his cast in David Cliff Apartments. On the TDM, since Shiro basically made that a thing, so I'm assuming it's still a thing... hi guys!

Hey there, Deerington. I'm Erin and I'm...completely new to this game and a little nervous, so sorry in advance if I ramble. I'm bringing in Kate Fuller from the tv series version of From Dusk Till Dawn. She was a small town Texas preacher's daughter who, on a family vacation, ended up being taken hostage by two bank robber brothers and taken to a bar in mexico that was infested with culebra (snakepires, basically). She's entering Deerington shortly after dying and then being brought back to life and possessed by the queen of hell.

It's safe to say her life has not gone as planned.

Anyway! I know there was a Seth her previously, so if anyone knew him and has heard mention of Kate, feel free to have your character realize who she is!

Kate will be living in the Prospero Townhomes, and I'm very open to plotting things out, or just randomly deciding to toss characters into each other's orbit. I'm in the CST timezone, but I work 6pm-6am so I'm more frequently around at night and tag speed depends on how busy we get, but I'm almost always available on plurk @absentia, so please feel free to reach out anytime you want!

i was gonna hit you on the tdm but got swamped with so many threads i... ended up unable to... but that being said this october event is HECTIC. i don't know if you've read all the info posts, but there's a hole in logan's kitchen that's always got incense burning (which keeps the monsters roaming the town away and also helps calm people suffering from Insight down), and kate's welcome to stumble by. \o/ alternatively they could just kick monster butt together. or anything else like that. EITHER WAY, WHETHER WE GET TO THREAD THIS MONTH OR NEXT, I HOPE YOU HAVE FUN HERE!!

Ayyoo this is Kalyn, player of Yuri Kozukata (onerous) bringing in a second character bc I guess I like you guys or smth.

This is another Sad Girl, Mikan Tsumiki from the weirdo mystery murder game series Danganronpa. Specifically she's like, technically from Super Danganronpa 2 but I've taken her from the Danganronpa 3 anime ending bc it's a happy ending she deserves god damn it.

ANYWAY THIS IS MIKAN. A super anxious girl with no self-esteem who believes any kind of attention is good and if she’s not being bullied it means people don’t care about her/forget her existence. She cries at the drop of a hat, gets scared easily, and begs for forgiveness for the tiniest things. She also will purposefully trip herself into lewd poses to break tensions and to draw attention to herself, it’s bad I’m sorry..... she’ll do pretty much anything anyone asks of her if it means they’ll forgive her/won’t hate her (including but not limited to: stripping, being used as target practice, eating bugs, taking on someone’s debts, letting them cut her hair, put cigarettes out on her.....)

However she’s also known as the Ultimate Nurse and has all the skills to back it up. She likes nursing because it means having to take care of people who are weaker than her and must rely on her and she holds their lives in her hands. :)

OMG. She sounds ridiculous but I am so excited. Both Justine and Airy will treat her well and wonder what the hell she's used too. Justine understands using sensuality to break tension or relax people so they have that much in common lol. Though Justine will probably try and help Mikan learn to stand up for herself because not being used by people is an important part of Justine's past and something she's passionate about.

heya what's up! i'm trace and i might know a few of you from games and memes around the dreamwidths. i'm bringing in baby from the movie baby driver that everyone should watch because it's fun af!! baby is not his real name but it's the name he'll give you for the most part.

anyway, baby's a former getaway car driver (and a DAMN good one at that) for a rotating group of bank robbers. he's trying to go straight though and managed to wreck a lot of crap in his attempts at getting his life on track. he was just being sentenced to prison when he's going to show up here.

baby's got tinnitus and some hearing loss from a car accident when he was a kid. he'll almost always be in the company of an ipod because the music helps drown out the ringing. he knows asl so if anyone else does, he can communicate with you that way.

HELLO! It's Emily and I'm bringing in a second character to balance out my murder teen (because she's v. heavy). Sorry I've been MIA with my unplanned slowatus, but life has calmed down and the podcast festival in Chicago is done! Abigail tags will be going out tonight and I'll be making a second announcement OOCly that anything I respond to is okay to drop since it'll be super old.

Darcy is coming in as a CRAU with 3 years of history from Entranceway so that'll be fun. Her app is here and the full CRAU info is here. She had a coffee shop and ran the lab in Wonderland so I'll be looking to get her back into that realm of work once she's settled and accepting the fact that this isn't just another really weird Wonderland event. She's used to recognizing people that don't recognize her, so everything will be starting pretty fresh CR wise, and I'll be asking OOC permission for little things she might know about them through CR/pretty much anything else because I'm a paranoid person and I don't want to step on toes :D.

Hello Deerington! My name is Vorko, and I'm bringing my first character, Cable. He's from the X-Men Cinematic Universe, specifically Deadpool 2, after the end because honestly, he's going to be unhappy here, why make it worse?

Cable is a time-traveling mutant from the future, back to save his wife and child from death at the hands of a rogue mutant. In the movie, he and Deadpool were able to save them, but he was unable to get home to be with them. So, anyway, that's what's what.

He's seems like a tough guy (and he is) but there's a soft, gooey center in there... somewhere. He's also partly cybernetic; his entire left arm and part of his chest is bionic. There's a story there, but it hasn't been told yet. He's angry, he's stoic, he's Deadpool's friend? I think so, but it reads like a love/hate relationship, at least from Cable's side.

There's a lot more I could say, but I'm really horrible at these intro things, so I'll just say I'm happy to be here!!!

My name’s Camlin (or Cam, or Lin, or whatever else you want to call me i’m not picky) and I’m bringing in Prompto from FFXV!

(Thanks to everyone who threaded with me in the TDM.... I appreciate you all... I was also playing Sam Winchester over there, and I’ll probably bring him in next month if things go well, too!)

Prompto is a cheerful, excitable, friendly guy with a garbage truck full of inferiority issues!! (although he’s gotten better with those, he’s working on it,) He’s good with a gun and a camera, and TRIES his best to be helpful. oh my god does he try. He’s a big nerd who makes bad jokes a lot, but he also genuinely appreciates and is very loyal to the people he cares about. Some other stuff is spoilers for the game sooo I’ll stop there, but! I’m excited to see him shove his camera in everyone’s faces and try and help out in this wild place.

Not 100% decided on where he’ll be living/working yet! I’m thinking David Cliff Apartments? because he used to live in a Very Big City and this is... as close as he’s gonna get here. Also thinking the comic shop might be fun to work at?? Haven’t decided yet! I’m going to pop over to the event page soon too and get going on that, looking forward to everyone’s monsters and witches.

markus is the leader of a recently successful and pacifist revolution in pursuit of freedom for his fellow androids! he's not big on violence and prefers to take the peaceful route in the face of conflict. after spending most of his life taking care of an elderly artist, his interests include nice things like art and literature and playing piano, but he's also a great strategist and formidable in combat; you have to pick up a few things after being left for dead in a junkyard, see.

he'll be bunking with north and connor in the prospero neighborhood, but he can be found around town being all charming and gentle anytime! he has a few reservations where humans are involved, but he's definitely out here to make allies, not enemies. i also have vague plans to make him teach art to elementary school children ;u;

Hi guys! My name is Giz, and this lady right here is Clara Oswald from Doctor Who, a 55-year-long documentary about the slow development of special effects. She's five feet and one inch of action-packed, egomaniacal recklessness, and she will cheat at board games. But really, she has a great heart and cares about people, that's like her main thing. She's coming from the end of her run on the show - s09e13, "Hell Bent" - which means she's just sort of become immortal. To be specific, she's frozen in time (don't worry about it), so her heart doesn't beat (really it's fine, she's fine) and she doesn't need to breathe or any of that boring stuff. More time for absolutely saving all of you, which she's 100% positive is going to happen.

hhhh... hey!! hi. i'm scarlet!! i'm uuhh new to deertown. i have a cahracter here from escape devildom, a kind of small, new webtoon canon (started publishing last year?), so this is new for me! it's fancy. this guy is named merlin (not that merlin), who is like, vaguely 6feet of exhausted wizard. i dont' actually know how tall he is. he's a human who ~just so happens~ to look like the recently killed demon king of the demon kingdom, and the ex-king's chancellor is a scheming b so she... takes merlin's brother hostage to force him to pretend ot be the demon king! isn't that fun. luckily he has mega powerful telekinetic magic or else he'd have died in like 2 chapters. anyway. he was there to rescue his brother. then he got a little too attached to everyone, adopted a demon son, and generally made a number of bad decisions. he took a nap. he's here. (he takes a lot of naps, being a fake king is very tiring.) he likely won't keep up the facade here but that will..... Depend.... i don't know how to describe him except 'went into the shop for One Fish. came out a warzone with 5 dogs, 3 cats, a snake, and half a handful of fishflakes. still looking for the fish.' not sure where he's gonna end up living yet but probably in a lower end prospero townhome, because it's convenient and quiet. he'll be there. living a quiet life.... like being a librarian or something, idk yet. that's what former fake kings do, right? retire and work in libraries? can you even retire from being a fake king. i can be reached at rancors@plurk or esquitor#0202 @ discord!

Except Fluffy greets strangers like this, so it was kind of a fail.




And Rogue, who is post X2, because we ignore X3. She's brought a whole lot of gloves and now I'm wondering why I did that because her powers are nerfed to the point that touching people only gives them a brief static shock type feeling and lets her potentially get a vague idea of what they're feeling (so, really, it means that if your character doesn't want her knowing something, I can just write that her powers didn't pick anything up, and if we want her to pick up on some specific feeling, I can write that her powers do pick it up, win/win all around). Oh, but she still has all those voices in her head, so that's nice.


But, anyway, I'm looking forward to writing with everyone! I need to go through the plotting posts so I know what's happening and can meaningfully contribute.

hello! my name's kerry and i'm bringing in river song from doctor who.

river is a time travelling archaeologist from the 52nd century who is a little bit of a genetic abnormality with a very messy past. she ended up marrying the person that she was raised to kill (as you do), has broken time on more than one occasion and gets into trouble that often it's almost like a hobby.

being a part-human part-time lord mess river comes with a few weird abilities. most only affect her (two hearts, what is sleeping frequently and enhanced senses) but i have a permissions post for the abilities that could affect others.

overall, river is a bundle of fun, a ridiculous flirt and someone that tries to be a good person. she's coming in from "914" the husbands of river song and is going to get a good crack on with trying to figure out this mystery and hate being stuck.

I'm Emma, and I'm bringing in Jean-Paul Beaubier, aka Northstar from Alpha Flight/X-Men. He's probably the second most famous Canadian mutant in the Marvel universe.

JP is snarky, egotistical, vain, and emotionally constipated. He's also French-Canadian, which does nothing to soften his image. He's going to be living on the top floor of the David Cliff Apartments and complaining about it. He'll be working at the college and occasionally the high school, because, aside from skiing, teaching is one of the few things he doesn't hate. He's also fairly recently recovered from being, well, dead, and he's trying to pretend like he's over it.

I'm very rusty at actual games, so I'm a bit nervous, but I'm hoping to not fuck up TOO badly. But if I do, please tell me! I just want everyone to have a great time.
