OOC INFORMATION

If I wind up in Chapter 4, how do I know if my character is a Seer or a Guardian?

Players will be able to choose on their own time who is a Seer and who is a Guardian. We trust you to make cohesive decisions that go along with this part of the game.

What happens if my characters somehow accidentally destroy one of the items before bringing it to the mountain?

If this occurs at some point, then you must go and do the mission all over again. Each time you have to do this, you must wait 24 hours for a full reset, and it will be doubly as hard each time you have to go back to accomplish your task of getting the item.

Can my character take pictures of the items or record them?

Absolutely!

My character doesn't have any CR with the group members they were assigned to and I'm not sure why they would randomly go with these people.

That's okay! This event is made to bring about new CR chances. Many characters might feel this pressing urge to explore locations for some inexplicable reason. Sodder will somehow be influencing Deerington Sleepers to help her, and this is one of those ways. You can rely on this gentle mental push to have your character wind up at the same place at the same time as these other groups.

What if I really don't like the group or the chapter I got assigned to?

No one is ever going to be made to role play in situations they aren't comfortable with. If you would like your character to be placed in another group, just send us a PM and we will get that done for you ASAP!

I want to contribute to this part of the game, but I don't really want to play out the actual chapter parts. What are my options?

You can still sign your character up and when it comes to plotting out with your group how you want things to go down, just speak up and mention that maybe you want your character to have a more removed role in the group! Maybe they help figure out a part of the puzzle or suggest a location or something similar. As long as at least two characters in a group physically obtain the object, then it is fine to have other characters have a more passive role in this part of the story.

What are the minimum and maximum amount of people that can be in a group?

All groups must have at least two active members meaning at least two characters who will physically obtain the essential items.

There is no maximum, but we will do our best to make sure that the groups are evenly balanced.

How many chapters can my character be involved in?

You can only sign-up a character for one chapter.

However, characters are absolutely allowed to discuss their chapters with one another and keep open communication between the various groups.

Do I need to discuss with my group what I plan on doing with my character for the event?

Absolutely. This is a hugely cooperative experience that relies on players interacting with each other to plan how they want to execute the events. Communication is key. All regular game rules apply. Make sure to respect each other's boundaries, understand the difference between IC/OOC, and treat each other with kindness.
