February Plotting Post

FEBRUARY PLOTTING POST

Welcome to the newest event! This is an exciting time and the event provides several chance encounters for your characters. Remember, everyone, all things in this game has consequences so don't think this will be the last you hear of this event.

Or maybe it will be. What do we know?

Please make sure to read the January Event as all of the scenarios in January's event carry over til the end of February! New characters/players are still able to sign up their characters for different roles for the event! Sign-ups will close on the 20th. Signing up or participating in any of January's scenarios are entirely optional. You can just focus on this event instead if you would like to! Sign-ups are located here.

DEATH BY CHOCOLATE

I asked for Chocolate so NOW I'M GETTING IT. I think this is where Allura is going to have to accept that she likes milk. And things made with milk. Because as tentative as she may be at the start of this (given that she DIED last month), she is going to enjoy it. At least the flavor part.

Because she died I'm going to go a little easier on her with some of the chocolate choices. She would already be generally more inclined towards the fruity ones, so she would be all about the Strawberry Tarts and Dipped Strawberries if anyone wants to get cuddly!

Of course, that also means that she will want to try the Raspberry Filled Chocolates which will make her very aggressive and hostile and oh boy does she have some steam to work off. And Allura is inhumanly strong, so this could get dangerous. She is, however, weakened and achy from dying, so it will even the playing field. Let me know if you wanna duke it out! Or calm her down somehow.

She would be inclined to try the White Chocolate, though if she does, hopefully someone would be able to cure that for her.

I'm a little tempted to do the Angel's Food Cake. Because she's an angel ala Aerosmith. I would not be opposed to some angel vs. demon stuff. #aesthetics.

COLOR OF DESIRE

She may encounter the succubus on her own because of her desire to have a family (I.E. a unit of people, not...specifically having kids) and her fear of losing the family she found. But she can also be around when your character encounters her! Maybe helps get her to stop?

I'm stoked about this. She is going to be very "WTF is this" but will totally snoop on everyone's profiles. And probably not admit to it. But she will definitely have this app and a profile. They didn't have Tinder in her day and age.

JANUARY EVENT CARRYOVER

Allura is both a medic and an explorer, so she would love to help out with duties and missions. Admittedly she is not on her top game still suffering the post-death aches and pains, but she isn't someone who likes to be idle.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: Osomatsu's still sick with the virus, and he's got it pretty bad. he's also... well, he's kind of a desperate jerk when it comes to Valentine's Day. he's Japanese, so it's celebrated much differently there than here. but i think he'll be getting out if just to try the chocolate. maybe the fondue and pb cups can help him out. i won't be doing anymore to make him suffer, since he's gone through a lot. but also... maybe the strawberry tarts or the devil's food cake? but yeah, if you have any toplevels and you want him anywhere, i'll jump at you!

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:

So, in order... Chocolates!

Strawberry Tart: for the "doesn't seem to have any effect at all except making her kind of snarky". Okay, well, with enough of them she'll be fine with showing off just how good of a flirt she is, but honestly she's kind of taken, so it's unlikely to reach too high of a level. The snark will just be jarring to anyone who knows how kind Ouse normally is.

White Chocolate: Is a possibility. It's really hard to scare her, but that'll sure be kinda fucky, and she'll probably finally react to something other than just being kind of disappointed.

Dark Chocolate: Possibly to be eaten, too, she doesn't have any ails to cure (not that these can cure), but it's always up if someone wants to feed her something because the hallucinations from the white chocolate or other stuff.

Devil's Food Cake: I think I'll do something with this prompt, it's pretty funny to think of her as a demon of some kind.

Hanahaki:

Just in the nick of time, Ouse doesn't have much to worry about with this... there's the thing with Asou, but she's already admitted to it a lot, so all that's left is her far less unrequited feelings otherwise. She's always down for listening to confessions, however, and if anyone is having a hard time just... spitting it out, her Glance is always available to get around the 'talking' part of it.

Succubus

Unfortunately, not much to do here. She has a lot of desire? But her or her close CR would probably tell the succubus to go away pretty quickly, and leaving her drained isn't a huge thing. However, she's more than happy to notice the difference with other people!

This... I am definitely going to do. Definitely. Feel free to hit her up! She is not single, and she types painfully slowly and just... painfully, so anyone who texts her can expect awkward texts back, but she's good for a good conversation!

CR Wanted: New CR, investigating around town CR, doing inadvisably dangerous things because why not CR.
CR Not Wanted: I guess CR that doesn't really go anywhere?
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: Almond nougat, maybe some unfortunate accidents with peanut butter cups (fighting his way out of the theatre, fun), definitely one of the flying cakes because flying is rad.

In addition, I'm planning to have Majima hit with Hanahaki, as the person he loves no longer remembers him. It's going to be a bad time. He may be looking for a place to crash for a couple days.

I'm always into new CR, but I think it'd also be interesting to take this month to have some more personal conversations with existing CR as the virus continues to take its toll. You know, the kinds of things you usually leave off talking about until people are dying around you, like secret pasts and how much [insert CR here means to them], and presumably how the heck they're going to cure this thing nearer the end of the month.

gwen got really violent during the nye event so i'd be up for having that switched! if your character has some almond nougats, gwennie can definitely put up a good fight. i'm trash so i'm definitely down for strawberry tart shenanigans too - this month's been The Worst and obviously sex is the best way to deal with that.

Death By Chocolate

I'm most interested in Lara eating Devil Food Cake, as well as Chocolate Fondue. I'm also open to the Chocolate Dipped Strawberries if anyone wants to be really, really drawn to Lara.

The primary things I want for her to do are being a bit of a prankster, while also experimenting with flight and invisibility, or being rubber. Kinda thinking I want to use this to springboard into her more quirky, impish side. Or just pig out and have a good time with dark chocolate.

I personally am not interested in Hanahaki at all, but I'm open to doing things with the Succubus if other players want that with her.

Additionally: if anyone wants to plan things with Rei Hino, then feel free to suggest some ideas! I don't have any specific wishes or ideas for her related to this event. It's one she can kind of roll with.

DEATH BY CHOCOLATE - He'll be an idiot and eat all the chocolate because he's a desperate single virgin who's content with having consolation prizes even tho he hates Valentine's Day as much as his brothers do. It's possible that he will get his sleeves on Chocolate Fondue, Almond Nougats, Strawberry Tarts, Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, and Angel's Food Cake because heck I want him to be the best/worst angel around.

THE UNLOVED - This is tricky. I'll go through with this prompt only if there's someone Jyushi can tell his feelings to, so hit me up if you're willing to have your character listen up to him and I'll make a closed starter! On the reverse, if you want Jyushi to be the receiver and help your character out also hmu!

DEERLY BELOVED - Definitely going to do this, it has a potential to be disastrous in a funny way and I'm all for it so let me know if you'd like him to ping your character!

Interpretive question on the Hanahaki Disease - how much does perception impact it? Say someone freely admits crushing on/loving someone and only thinks they aren't loved back? How concrete have we got to get here :)

Ice cubes down the back, gum tossed underfoot, basically mostly childish pranks because Lara never really got to *have* a childhood and her sense of humor is incredibly juvenile or really morbid.

Does Majima want to be a victim of invisible Lara being a poltergeist?

Death By Chocolate:

So since Izuku is still suffering from the affects of the Erasure Virus, two chocolates he's going to make use of pretty much throughout the month is Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cups. Dark Chocolate predominantly to ease the symptoms. Peanut butter will be a bit more sparing since he can usually handle some pain, it's just the other symptoms like how weak he's been he can't take. Whenever other chocolates are used these chocolates will be used less so as not to dampen their affects too much.

Otherwise, some chocolates I'd love to play around with!:

- Strawberry Tarts (for cuddling purposes only please!)
- Almond Nougats
- Raspberry Filled Chocolates
- Chocolate Fondue (POSSIBLY? He breaks his bones a lot so it'd be more ironic than anything)

I really want to play with the angel/devil's food cake as well but I'm not entirely sure what to do with them...so if you have any ideas there, feel free to let me know!

The Unloved

Avoiding this section of the event. Even though Hanahaki Disease is an awesome aesthetic, I'm not interested in threading it out at this time due to it being too close to things Im phobic of.

Color of Desire

Okay, it'd be SUPER cool for Izuku to run into this demon. I'd love for him to be with someone and for them to have to work together to figure out how to dispel her! He might feel the affects of her draining temporarily if this happens, but not for the full attacking-with-violence drainage.

Deerly Beloved

Lmao I love this so much, I'll probably get up a profile on it for Izuku soon! Though he won't be doing it to specifically look for romantic matches; more as a way to try to reach out and network with people here he hasn't met yet...or something.

JANUARY EVENT CARRYOVER

Izuku is still sick with the Erasure Virus, though the chocolates will be used to dampen the symptoms so he can actually function better. He has signed up to be an explorer and will be searching for a cure when that portion of the event drops.

Death by Chocolate
After she's recovered from death flu on the 15th, Vira-Lorr will try some of the chocolates out: I won't be doing the caramels though, except possibly to help someone out (likely with the dark chocolate). She may take a couple of the curatives to remove a bit of her troubling symptoms, particularly around the 20th. May use a Devil's Food Cake at some point, for the fun of it (Hey, I like invisibility.)

The Freak-out candy (White Chocolate) is a reasonable choice and I'll probably do at least one session of that or maybe an almond nougat. She'll be more wary afterwards.

Strawberry Tart: I am open to this, but contact me if you're interested. I won't be doing an open prompt for it specifically, and I'd prefer this be reasonably close CR. *ahem* Chocolate-dipped strawberries can also be factored in as well.

The Unloved: Vira-Lorr won't be getting sick from this. She made peace quite a while ago that Dyshana was chosen, and she's not particularly focused on anyone romantically right now.

However, hearing someone out is definitely an option.

The Color of Desire
I'm open to having her approach someone else while dealing with a succubus. She won't be the most civil, though this creature is far less overtly violent than the angels were, so she's not going to be violent. This could prove an interesting encounter.

I won't be removing all desire from Vira-Lorr, though. Poor girl's been through enough this month. That would be a little harsh to deal with. I might have her remove one of her more bothersome desires if the mood strikes.

-Vira-Lorr will definitely open the app, not knowing any better. This stupid phone they gave her is a headache, but it hasn't done anything to actually trouble her yet. She'll probably find the whole thing more amusing than anything, even if it's bound to give some unnecessary information about her.

DEATH BY CHOCOLATE

Wade is going to be both grabbing Dark Chocolate and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cups for himself, Cable and Peter when he accidentally realises that it helps his healing factor neutralise some of the worse symptoms of his cancer. It'll mostly clear his skin up for a little bit, so if your character wants to see Wade before he looked like a pizza accident on the kitchen floor, this is the time. It's not gonna completely kill his chronic pain, but he doesn't complain about that anyway. He might also be found trying them all, like that weirdo, so if there's anything you wanna play with, I'm here for it. Though hit me up first if you wanna do anything romantic or smutty please. He's also going to hoard up on the ones he likes after too.

THE UNLOVED

Wade has been romancing the 6% not straight in Peter Parker for five months now, and it's been pretty obvious to anyone around him that he has it pretty hard for someone. Wade's already admitted it in December and was rebuffed but he's still going to be suffering from Hanahaki Disease That's going to be progressively worse. I haven't decided if I want it to lead to his first death or not, it depends on if someone can inspire a full confession out of him.

He's probably going to get it pretty badly as it goes on, and have some pretty bad PTSD over the inability to really catch his breath again whilst it's going on. What's a healing factor for if it doesn't heal evil plant disease???

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:

Chocolate: He's from Europe in 1590. It's not a common thing there, so he's going to be doubly intrigued. Though he'll probably go with what he knows to start with, which means fruit. Which means chocolate covered strawberries. I mean, he's not ugly by a long chalk, but he also knows his look is very few peoples' cup of tea, so he'll be bewildered, at first. Then he'll lap it up like the attention whore he is.

Hanahaki: He'll actually be spared this one. He's not pining for anyone. Sure, there are people he's attracted to, but he's not sure how he feels beyond that. However, he'll be fascinated by other people puking up flowers and growing flowers out of their skin and whups, let's make sure so and so doesn't die.

Succubus: That said, it doesn't mean he ain't lonely. Quite the contrary, he's single and hating it. It's just the desire is unfocussed. Like the song goes, he just wants somebody to love. Well, in a more specific and conventional way then is typical love for this weirdo. He's going to get listless and depressed, but won't be able to distinguish it from the Erasure Virus. Maybe someone else can.

Dating App: Oh, hells to the yes. He's gonna find it and be utterly baffled. And complain that he can't add things to what it says. XD

Hmm, could be fun. Or we could do an angel-devil's food cake thing where one of them's trying to stop the other?

CR Wanted: New CR or expanding on current CR for sure. I think I'd love to concentrate on more of the sillier/funnier aspects of this month's event (Newt is part of the explorer part for the January plot). I do also want to expand on deeper or more heartfelt parts of my CR if possible. Newt hasn't really been this close with so many people, so I'd love to expand on that!
CR Not Wanted: Probably avoiding more of the harsher or more negative effects of certain stuff. January was pretty harsh with everyone sick/dying or what have you. I'm not completely against it, but I don't wanna overload on it too.

Newt will definitely have a profile for the app. It will definitely include the fact that he is a virgin and probably has some little blurb about being wild or something pertaining to the fact that he's a magizoologist and his entire career is around beasts. :^)

The sweets I will probably be doing or interested in plotting with: strawberry tarts, chocolate dipped strawberries, devil's food cake, and/or angel's food cake.

Unloved
Newt isn't in any real unrequited love situation, so he won't be ending up with hanahaki (I have plans for him to start dating by the end of this month as is).

Color of Desire
Newt can/will mostly be able to see the succubus. I don't have any particular thoughts/plans for this though. If you need someone who needs to ask her to go away, Newt is your guy though. He's overtly polite and asking them to merely stop seems to be very well something he would do. Newt's ability to handle creatures and the such as a whole will make for a very non aggressive interaction with her.

January/February Event

Newt is a Medic and an Explorer, so he can assist in caring for those that are sick and will be involved in the tie up of January's event!

CR Wanted: Any and all!
CR Not Wanted: Rrromance?? I D K, I'm honestly open to everything, she's just a mess.
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: SO I'm not going to be getting Chloe involved in 90% of the plot because the girl has been through enough the last two months. But things I'm interested in!!

Character Name: Kaede/Nyu
CR Wanted: New CR! Building on previously-established-CR! For other ideas, Kaede has two(!) dogs now, one being a growing direwolf pup she could use help in training. Nyu can also be found at the medical camp sometimes.
CR Not Wanted: I guess super negative CR at least for Nyu; Kaede on the other hand is like 90% negativity by volume, so that kind of CR would be just fine and somewhat expected.
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: As a note! Nyu has been around since the January event, but will be reverting back to her pricklier Kaede personality at Some Point later this month.

Death by Chocolate
She'll be getting into the angel food cake at least because the halo would be floating over her horns and I like to think I'm funny sometimes. And she had a Really Bad Time with angels in December. Kaede will have more opinions on that when she wakes up.

Hanahaki
Nyu/Kaede will also be dealing with this, since despite the breakup (and, you know, dying) she's not over her ex yet. Nyu will have a much easier time talking about feelings than Kaede, though it'll take her awhile to figure out the mission requirements here because neither of them are familiar with this trope. She might end up with flowers growing on her. Nesting birds optional.

January Carryover
Nyu is signed up as a Medic! She is also a bit sick, but I currently don't have plans to make it worse. The second event post may change this. Nyu will still be at the medical tents in the mountain regularly, but once she switches to Kaede her attendance will likely dwindle to zero because she has History with medical surroundings.

I'd personally be really open to more personal conversations too. I have plans of a cross canon ship happening this month, but Newt has been kind of waffling on his feelings since January, so I think a heart to heart would be wonderful to push him to do something about it. That, and just being there for Majima to talk to while he kind of deals with Hanahaki.

Also they can eventually go into discussing the Erasure Virus and such to tie it all up.

But it's all about admitting someone likes someone, right?

So tell her all about the people you love, Majima.

She loves other people being in love, she just loves love, this is 100% her holiday, man.
