Welcome to the newest event! This is an exciting time and the event provides several chance encounters for your characters. Remember, everyone, all things in this game has consequences so don't think this will be the last you hear of this event.

Does the fact that no one will believe a character about the clown hunting them mean that people who haven't seen a clown can't fight them when they turn openly aggressive, or are they totally visible and tangible? Or would they wait until the player was alone?

Desired CR: Any and all! Fern is great for negative cr because he is emotionally volatile and a tendency towards violence. He's also great for found family, thanks to his abandonment issues he latches onto familial figures, particularly older siblings and parents. Lastly, weapons cr! He loves weapons so much.
Unwanted CR: None.

Event Ideas:
I'll likely be focusing on two events for my top levels, though I am open to plans for Clowning Around and The Booths if anyone would like to do something specific. Fern is canonically afraid of clowns (he's had traumatizing nurse clown experiences), so that's a thing.

The Show of the Century
Fern has about 6-7 seasons worth of memories, so if anyone wants something not listed please let me know! There are a lot and there's a more detailed list of memories on my plurk. Some of these will be limited to close cr (like Fern trying to kill Finn) but the vast majority will be open for anyone.
• Grass sword memories! These include its creation, killing eldritch horrors and trying to kill friends.
• Finn memories! These include fighting the Lich at various times, coming to terms with the Grass Sword curse, father issues, having a terrible love life, accidentally killing and bringing back a god and getting turned into Finn Sword.
• Past lives! Namely being Shoko and the Catalyst Comet, the latter of which will help him remember more about being a cosmic entity.
• Finn Sword memories! Fighting Finn's alternate self, being a literal object with an irresponsible owner (thanks Finn), being used by Bandit Princess to kill and rob, breaking.
• Fern memories! Becoming a candy person, more father issues, trying to imprison and murder Finn, nearly getting killed himself.

Smoke Them Out
There are only two prompts I have in mind for this event:
• The canonical end to Adventure Time, which skips ahead another one thousand years in the future. Ooo appears to be mostly abandoned. A modernized Candy Kingdom is a ghost town and an upgraded Gumball Guardian, a Prizeball Guardian, wanders the land carrying all the candy citizens in stasis. The Tree Fort has long been destroyed and in its place is a massive tree grown from the seed Fern left behind after he died. At the top of it in its branches is Finn Sword.
• GOLB, the show's malevolent personification of discord, is hovering over a battlefield while two enormous mutated monsters wreak havoc, but the latter are stopped by the majority of the show's characters singing Time Adventure.

OOC Limits: Get "eaten" by the sewer vore monster or see that happen. Noping right out of that. Haha, funny story? Even Latroma has triggers, and "Unbirth" is one of them. *thumbs up to the mods* I applaud you guys or managing to make a horror game that actually successfully squicks me. whew, yeah. Going to play with the clowns now.

Desired CR: Any and all, as a rule.
Special Note: Vira-Lorr is having Amnesia through August, so she's going to struggle to get her feet back into CR. I'm interested to see how that plays out.

There will be a "Job" prompt available during the event where characters can potentially run into her, either going to her new job or coming back, or potentially meet her AT her new job... at the Red Sparrow Health Spa, at night. (This means yes. As a sex worker.) If your character would visit the spa at night, please TW appropriately.

Unwanted CR:
-Anything involving Sewer Monsters. Nope! Nope nope nope! Hahaha, nuuuuupe.

Event Ideas:
-Show of the Century: I am totally down for people seeing Vira-Lorr or Clouseau's respective canons or having them run into others. Would absolutely love this. Will do top levels for both characters with this in mind.
-The Booths: I want Clouseau to see the Pink Panther Diamond in one of the booths, and I absolutely do NOT want him or anyone else to actually win it. Just frustrate the idiot with it repeatedly. I would really like to net Vira-Lorr something from home, but she might need to have some help with that.
-Clowning Around: Oh, I'm down with the clown. Neither of my characters truly has a titular fear, but I'm sure we can come up with something. No deaths, please. Vira Lorr, I think most of you will agree, has died enough for a while and I'm not planning to get Clouseau killed at this time.
-Smoke Them Out: I'm going with Deerington here, for the vision, and I'm going to offer two visions for Vira-Lorr. One will be a Trigger-Warning worthy vision of her experiencing a sixth death where she's forced to walk around in the state of how she died. I'll probably do something simple like decap (Hey look, ma, I'm a Dullahan now!). The other will involve her seeing a weird set of stone steps in the water and a boat that she begins to walk across...

SPECIAL - LOCATION UNLOCK COMING SOON

I just recently received a "Location Unlock" for the Boats via Vira-Lorr. It's one of our last full "Unlocks" the old way, like how we did with the Mines, so it is designed as a potential mini-event.

HOWEVER, I don't want to interfere with folks' fun for this event, so I'm going to postpone the actual Location Unlock unveiling. I'll confer with the mods, ask one or two questions and set a good date that lets everyone have fun with this event before engaging the Location Unlock.

Loosely: I am thinking of doing the Unlock on around the 29-30th of June so that I can powerswap some powers back to amnesiac Vira-Lorr to make her slightly more useful for this event. I may do the first week of July also, and just have her remember how to 'sense magic' and work with that.

i'll probably go a little bit far into scott's past and showcase his ~ criminal background. ~ it's not something he's particularly ashamed of save for how it took him away from his kid but there's gonna be a theme here. there's gonna be a theme so stick with me. once he gets to the booths, it's gonna be pictures of his family, toys of his kids, things cassie loved, stuff like that because she's his #1.

so, he's definitely going to be shaken up and sad. yes, scott lang can get sad. WELCOME TO SAD SCOTT.

clowning around

scott's got no real tangible fears but he's heard about the clowns from eddie so i want him to at least be taunted. maybe with his failures of the past and the fact that there's no guarantee he won't fuck up again or leave his kid or get her killed. so, it'll be an annoyance until it's not. until the clown decides to try and fuck him up oops.

oh, it's gonna be terrible but guess who's gonna be in the sewer for scott? GUESS? yeah, it's cassie. yeah, he's probably gonna go down there because IT'S HIS KID. please, someone save him. i don't think i'll have him get swallowed up or anything but WHO KNOWS. i just wanna mess his dumb ass up this plot. let him see just how bad this city can be.

i probably won't go full on endgame but i think i'm gonna have the fact that he spent five years in the quantum realm and missed the snap and missed his kid growing up and MISSED EVERYTHING is going to be on display. nothing specific to other characters but he's gonna go through it.

Desired CR: Fuckin EVERYTHING. GIMME YOUR SHIT. I'd love more people for her to actually be at odds with - she murdered a ton of very beloved people last month and if someone wants to actually be angry at her for it, I'm really okay with that. Friends, frienemies, people to bitch at, casual hook ups, etc. are all things I'm always looking for with her. She's super easily manipulated if you got a character who likes to do that shit.
Unwanted CR: She's not gonna end-game romance right now - it'd be a long enough haul just to get her to actually date someone. But that's the only real limit due to IC shit.

Event Ideas:

CLOWNING AROUND: Chloe's going to definitely get haunted by a clown - after last month, her worst fear is absolutely herself, so it will be a real weird time for her, and the clown is definitely gonna be able to taunt the shit out of her. She's gonna semi know what is up since she's so close to Eddie, but I'd be down for someone helping her through accepting her fears if you want on that messy ride.

HIYA: Chloe's only gonna fall for this shit once, but she won't end up getting dragged into the sewers. She has no powers so she could just run away, but if someone wants to save her from it, this would be hella fine with me. I'd like just one person for that since she wouldn't go near them again after.

THE SHOW OF THE CENTURY: I am offering up any of Chloe's memories for this holy shit. She's gonna sit through them more than participate, but she's gonna be pissed about it. Please take her content warnings seriously. I'm gonna list out some memories here, but if you know her canon, feel free to suggest literally anything else.

Most of these are depressing, but I did include a few happy examples I swear.........

Any of Chloe's deaths. There are a lot of them to choose from - her getting shot by Nathan (first time ends in rewind, second time does not), her accidentally shooting herself in the chest, her getting hit by a train, her getting euthanized by Max, her getting shot in the head by Mark Jefferson, her dying in a storm while begging Max to come home on the phone, and also her Deerington deaths where she was ripped in half by Eddie and shot in the head by Reaper. These could be individual memories or if someone really wants to fuck with her, a montage of all 8/9.

The day her dad died. This could start with her and Max opening up their time capsule and then end with her getting the news from her mom.

Her protecting Mikey and having to hear Drew get his knee smashed by Damon.

Damon being a fucking creep and trying to talk her into working for him which just kinda ends in Rachel getting stabbed oops.

Damon beating the shit out of her when she found Sera and tried to attack him.

Killing Frank! Woops.

The first time she meets Rachel at the Fire Walk concert. This would include her almost getting her ass kicked by some dudes who she pissed off, but getting her ass saved by Rachel being tough as nails.

That one time she was in a Shakespeare play.

That one time she "asked" Rachel to kiss her and it went well for her.

Daring Max to kiss her (she's a wreck).

Being really gay about Max at the school pool.

... Any of the times David abused her :/ Most of them are emotional, but he does grab her pretty roughly a few times and backhand her once. Fuck that guy, honestly.

Nathan drugging her and trying to take her pictures but her knocking him the fuck out.

And there's more but this is getting long god damn.

THE BOOTHS: Chloe's gonna probably try to get into a fist fight with one of the game runners when she can't win the photo album filled with her dads pictures. Please stop her.

SMOKE THEM OUT: You can see Chloe's death here as well. OR she has a canon alternative timeline where Max chooses her and a canon alternative timeline where she and Rachel are living together in LA and are happy.

Or there's an alternative option of her getting to go home with literally any of her friends here and then she'll cry. So have fun with that one.

Desired CR: first meets, F.E.A.R. members to introduce him to the idea and get him involved, younger people (for cr that will feel like they're on the same intellect level, which I assume would be any of you kids and teens here, so I'm open,) any other monster/demon hunters, and anything you can bring to the table if this character pings your brain! Ben can be prickly, sassy, and flat, but also is reactive and emotive, and has a humanitarian streak in him, so helping people out, plotting out what is going on, and getting his ass saved are all green light options.
Unwanted CR: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ maybe just not ship right now but also, Ben is brand new, so I don't expect it!

+ The Show of the Century: hey who wants to see carnies perform a demonic exorcism to Ben's massive chagrin? I know the prompt is to be a historical event out of a character's life, so that leaves one option of seeing a play about a child whose father is possessed an tries to murder the family, starting with mom, trying to end the child, and being unable to when a whole ass angel steps in. riveting.
but I would also like to take a twist on this prompt and possibly do a tent that says 'the demonically possessed' or something equally offensively click-baity, and as Ben looks on to see a gruesome, inhumane treatment of a victim, loses his cool and tries to intervene. possibly to immediately see it's all fake, getting all offended and belligerent, before leaving. characters can meet him during these things, or witness them alongside him and stop him afterward.

+ Booths: would love to have someone sneakily, or not very sneakily, trying to steal whatever personal affect it is Ben just won!! sorry, is this yours?? he won it fair and square. better plead your case quickly.
alternatively, Ben's guardian angel is stuck to the form of a peace dove, which could be useful for stealing personal items out of skeezy carnie booths. rescue mission!

+ Clowns: while Ben knows how to punish and kick them out, he is still afraid of what demons are capable of and what they represent: being consumed and lost. demons in his world consume human souls which can't pass on or effectively be souls anymore, losing any part of the person to it. the idea of being hunted down and lost forever is the root to his choice to confront them as they target other people. Ben primarily relies on things, tools and processes — the aid of his guardian, herbs and tools, symbols that bleed into his OCD and therefore, his compulsions and checks. when his own mental health is down, it's difficult for him to rely on his own self when facing a demon directly; it's easy to forget that the greatest strength you can have is your own self. especially when, Ben would take it very hard if he lost someone again, even if it was a stranger, to a demon, sooo that's a legitimate tied-in fear. since Ben has been 'hunting demons' for years, he is frequently prepared to confront them — possessing silver items is a daily occurrence, which, if it comes across to him as demonic, Ben will wield. I would love to put him in action scenes for this!

+ "Hiya!" would love to have Ben see someone talking to something in a storm drain, and get huge oh fuck that vibes, and try to help your character get away from the creepy munch monster!

+ Smoked Out: I would love to do this as Ben would be somewhat familiar with traveling to America's culturally rich southern areas, which means he can be of some help identifying the smoke, juuust before getting caught up and...tripping out. open to seeing a joint future in Deerington, good or bad, or seeing one or another's possible home future, I'd love to discuss this to see what we might prefer. worst case ontario a vision from Ben's side could be apocalyptic, likely demon-related, but that's also just reaching for the closest straw! it seems like it would be weird for Ben to be experiencing this for the first time with more than one person, so I'm trying to devise how I can make this prompt open to multiple people. (possible options include making a closed starter for arriving in the underground for whoever wants to claim that and meet Ben that way, and then an open prompt for during. it's a work in progress. please inquire within!

Clowning Around (cw: wasps)

So Gansey's totally going to be haunted by a clown that picks at his insecurities as it slowly transforms into a giant wasp. Or a swarm of wasps that just like, come out of the clown? That's probably worse. Haven't decided.

If he's able to figure out how to kill it or get help, great. Otherwise, it's probably going to kill him!

I'm really interested in this but probably just in joining someone else's if you need a partner, because Gansey's world is too close to ours and that just sounds miserable.

Desired CR: he's brand new to the game, so i'm mainly focused on building CR for him and having him meet new people. friends, enemies, whatever, come at him.
Unwanted CR: romantic? he's literally a single year old, and while he's developing really fast. his brain isn't quite there yet. i'm all for awkward teens being awkward stuff, but anything that leads to something real isn't likely to happen.

Event Ideas:

THE SHOW OF THE CENTURY

There's a lot of memories we could pick from here, hmmm. One would be Jack first "being born" and walking down the side of a highway bare-assed before asking a pirate statue if it's his dad?? Also, there's a lot of stuff in an Apocalypse World that we could pick. Some torture. If anyone wants to see this infant have scary kinds of power, that can happen as well. I can provide clips for these once I'm not at work anymore urgh. There's another where he accidentally kills a guy, one where Jack's CW: SELF HARM repeatedly stabbing himself in the chest with a huge kitchen knife and being freaked out that he can't die. Hmmm, many unsettling options, he's an unsettling boy. But also, some cute options, because he's an infant with 3 weirdo dads.

I'm a liiiiittle hesitant to do Jack Meets His Biological Father: Actual Satan, just because I'm not sure I want that secret out yet, and Jack sure as hell doesn't want it out yet, but if someone really wants to do it and promises to keep it quiet for now, that can occur :B

THE BOOTHS

I'm thinking there will be a picture of Jack and his mother, Kelly, who died when he was born, and he's going to want that. Jack's probably going to be terrible at playing the actual carnie games, so he's either going to cheat with telekinesis, or steal it. His powers will be really good for cheating in this, so if anyone else has something they'll want to cheat to get their hands on, he might help out if he likes them enough. Or feels for them enough, ie, if the item is of sentimental value.

CLOWNING AROUND

I thiiiiink I might skip this one for now, unless someone wants Jack in it specifically. He knows about stabbing things with silver too well to really be that freaked out by it, and when he notices it hurting the clown, his fear is going to go to zero. Also, clowns are gross.

Jack's hella easy to manipulate, so I think he'll see either Dean or Sam down there, or his mom, and he's 100% going to end up on the sewer. I don't think I'll full on have him turned into a monster yet, but definitely get attacked and maybe paralyzed. However, Jack is still pretty scary powerful even when he can't move. I don't think I want to totally wreck him yet, but maybe give him a little self confidence boost for now, so if anyone would like to be saved from the monster, or dragged out, or would like to drag him out, maybe, I'm all kinds of down for it. Or, if anyone's turning into the monster and wants to be killed, he can do that too. Granted, if it's someone he recognizes and cares about, he's less likely to kill. If they're looking more monstery than human, yeah, he'll do a murder.

SMOKE THEM OUT

He's a curious kiddo, and also kind of an idiot sometimes, so I'm down for Jack getting trapped down here in vision land with some people. There's some potential for Jack's vision - could be full on Apocalypse World, which is like a burned out wasteland with big creepy spikes and all these psycho angels torturing and murdering and hunting and enslaving humans, could be paradise on earth, could be The Bad Place which is full of fucking huge and terrifying monsters, could be Literal Hell, hm hm hm. I'm also down for him to visit anyone else's visions!!

okay I'm canon blind (one of like, five people on earth?) and literally read half of this comment and was already I'm thinking to throw demonologist giles at this person, but I'm immediately struck by the carnie game idea! if you're thinking Jack is trying and suffering greatly at trying to win his little personal heirloom, we could have it open up a conversation between him and Ben if you think Jack might tell a complete stranger what he's trying to do. I had an idea in mind for Ben's guardian angel, trapped in the manifestation of a bird in deerington, to be used to steal game prizes...it would be feelsy and possibly funny for Ben to be fighting with a literal bird for its cooperation (helping spawn of lucifer why?? except Ben likely doesn't realize it about Jack himself if he isn't directly told, without his guardian able to communicate) on top of trying to help Jack out. I lovvve putting Ben with characters related to anything in this vein and him having to assess his morals once he realizes he wants to help them or befriend them, etc etc.

then again, funnily enough, Ben could also end up seeing an apocalypse future in the underground, so that's an option that they can share, too. let me know what you think!

The Show of the Century

Grindelwald will get drawn into a tent advertising "The Greatest Wizarding Duel of All Time!" and what will play is the fight with Albus and Aberforth that lead to Ariana's death (gee, this is haunting him a lot lately, damn feelings.) If questioned, he will adamantly deny that it's his memory.

I don't know that Grindelwald would get drawn in, but he'd definitely be up to fight some monsters, either above ground or down in the sewers. (Probably same with clowns.)

Smoke Them Out

Grindelwald's going to have a vision of an alternate future (or present?) where he wins and wizards emerge from hiding to share their magic with the world... and rule it. Whether it's utopian or dystopian kind of depends on your perspective.

PART ONE:

Eliot's got a lot of really shitty memories he can share. The first one that comes to mind is a little scene from when he was 14 and realized he had telekinesis with deadly results. For the romantics in the crowd, there's also the time he fought monsters in another dreamscape-esque setting to realize his biggest regret was rejecting the guy he loves. There's honestly a lot of fodder for uncomfortable situations here and depending on what your limits are (death, substance abuse, etc), we can probably find something. I'm a sucker for memory sharing, though, so please. Hit me with yours.

Not sure if I'll have him do much for the booths. He doesn't have a lot of cherished things and most ended up in game with him, but he'll go for a walk with your character if they want.

PART TWO:

Eliot is prime clown food. That's it.

No, this event will mess him up. His fears are all very metaphorical and inward and self-focused, so being constantly taunted and verbally abused about them will start a spiral and, honestly, it's going to be hard for him to actually do anything about it.

Cool with pretty much everything re: clowns except dying.

PART THREE:

Eliot is closing that plank. If there's a trip to be had, he's taking it, so come with him. I've got some ideas re: Fillory, aka already a trip in itself, but there's so many visions of ideal fairy tale lands or destroyed ones. Also let Eliot indulge in seeing a happy end at home. Totally up for whatever, though, again I'm into him also experiencing what someone else would see.

PART THREE:

Danny would probably see things like a thriving K'un-Lun, or a destroyed New York City, or again this could take him back to the memories that you'd probably see on stage because of him. • Part One: The Show of the Century: I'm thinking the most potent memory for this would be that time that Five ran away as an Actual Child and consequently got himself stuck in a desolate hellscape for literal decades. Be good for CR who might be wondering Why He's Like This. Also potential for conversations about the whole age thing! I'm willing to play fast and loose with this, up for mixing with other characters' memories or having direct interaction at others' preference.


• Part Two: Clowning Around: Five's clown will be the emotional torment type and may or may not take the shape of the Handler, a.k.a. his ex-boss. I won't be doing a prompt for this though, this is mostly for flavor in other people's threads if they're interested! Additionally, if I manage to actually get my AC rewards submitted in time, Five will hopefully be toting an anti-monster shotgun and thus will be available for helping people out as needed.

Probably closed:

• Part Two: Hiya!: Five will almost certainly be tempted to the sewers, as he has six different potential obvious vulnerabilities that he will feel obligated to rescue. Which means he'll need a helping hand himself, at any point in the process! I would love for him to get properly fucked up or even dead though as he needs to get knocked down a peg one of these days re: his arrogant impulsiveness.


• Part Three: Smoke Them Out: I fully admit I'm just doing this to be mean, because the future that Five will hallucinate is the one that he's already lived and that he already has a history of hallucinating at inopportune moments. Basically, I'm cheating and using it as a second memshare option since The Apocalypse isn't really something that can be acted out in a play. Whooooooo wants to experience the hellish wasteland of Five's nightmares!!!! (For those who aren't canon familiar, it's Earth's future where everything is burning rubble and literally everybody is dead, it sucks, and Five lived there by himself for like forty years. Even better for CR who's wondering Why He's Like This.

Billy Hargrove | Stranger Things

This is Billy's first major horror event and he's going to be more vulnerable than he normally is because it's hard to keep up the tough guy front when you're being stalked by an evil clown so now's your chance to meet him without all his usual posturing.

Event Ideas:
The Show of the Century: (cw: child abuse) This one's tentative because Billy literally just got here so it might be too early for something like this to have any impact but it's also pretty revealing and it could be an interesting wrench to throw in his current CR or jumping point for new CR. tl;dr Billy's dad is an absolute jackass and likes to both verbally and physically abuse his son, and having to live with him and deal with that is Billy's one big thing that he doesn't want to talk about.

Clowning Around: Billy's clown will be mostly verbally tormenting him about his anxieties - calling him weak, telling him that the other people here are out to get him, that he's on his own, that he has no friends, that some of the people here have powers beyond his comprehension and could tear him apart even if they don't look physically intimidating, and so on. Once in a while it'll pin him down to the ground for a bit just to remind him of how weak and powerless he is here. There are a few different options for encountering Billy during this part of the event:

• Paranoid Billy: In the early/middle stages, Billy will be paranoid and even more aggressive than usual (yes, that's possible!). The clown will be making him think that everyone's against him and he'll lash out easily. I'm also up for having a Henry Bowers Moment where his clown tells him to attack someone else in order to scare that person and he does it.


• Timid Billy: Towards the end of this part of the event Billy will begin to get broken down and fearful and beg other people not to hurt him. He will be very ashamed of this later.


• Overcoming Fears: His big fears are of being weak and other people having too much power over him and using it to hurt him. I figure letting someone else help him even if it puts him in a vulnerable position is a good way to have him at least face that fear (even if he won't permanently overcome it at this point).

Smoke Them Out: I'd love for Billy to see a vision of the upside down, the Mind-Flayer, and himself being infected/possessed by it. He already had a nasty experience with his future infection on the test drive meme and this would give him even more reason to suspect that his own world might not be as free of supernatural influence as he once thought and prepare him with a suitable sense of dread for the canon update he'll eventually be getting.

Would you be interested in Will coming across Billy during the clown event twice as a way of adding weirdness to it — Billy can swing at Will during his 'paranoid' stage (and Will can deal with getting hit by a teenager, lmao) and after they part ways initially, they run into each other again, once Billy's at the 'timid' point? So that even with no existing CR the contrast is uhhh very clear? If not I'm up for just picking one or the other - I figure the 'paranoid' one wouldn't need to be prolonged too much (unless Billy would need to be seriously injured to stop or something, we can hash it out beforehand or play it entirely by ear).

Anyone with AWFUL incoming carnival tent-memories is someone I'd love to smash Will up against bc he'll be (perhaps surprisingly) understanding about a wide variety of bad shit.

the show of the century. interested in having a tent for Will, which I'm welcome to another character witnessing. it will likely be of aspects of Will's weeks-long gaslighting/medical torture at the hands of Doctor Hannibal Lecter, who encouraged Will's encephalitis with lights and drugs to intentionally induce seizures and memory loss. it will be haphazard and disorienting, and Will's going to be very visibly upset about it, both during and after. anyone who wants to either be completely blasé and mean, or who wants some good attempted h/c after, is welcome to watch it with him.

I'm also very willing to have Will watch other characters' carnival plays with them, OR run into them outside once they're riled up.

hiya! Will's likely going to see someone who was murdered in his canon, a 19 y/o named Abigail. Will helped catch (and then uhh, shot to death) her father, who was a serial killer. In the process of catching her dad, Will's weird empathy this means he got ~too close~ and resulted in him feeling very paternal towards Abigail. The found family sense was not mutual from Abigail, but was exploited by another character. So Will's going to be very emotional and easily manipulated about this.

I'd prefer Will isn't turned into a monster in this event (got enough of that with the pollen two months ago!) so I'd like another character to either keep him from following it into the sewers, or follow after him into the sewers so both characters can escape. If you'd rather yours ends up trapped during this, that's also fine.

The Booths
Newt doesn't have much care for material things. It seems the extent of material things that he values are really just pictures and I think I'd love for Newt to get some photos!

Either pictures of Theseus (and his mom), Leta, Tina and Queenie, or Jacob. Just people he misses dearly at the moment. Photos of everyone, but Jacob, are moving photos too as wizard photos move and partly interact.

Clowning Around
I'm happy to have Newt help others out with their clowns/encourage them to overcome them/etc! Newt is someone who kind of pushes himself passed his own comfort zone, especially for the sake of others, so overcoming fears and such would be something he'd be able to manage on his own. If people are struggling though, Newt is a good friend to help others out with that.

Smoke Them Out
I'm more interested in having Newt experience other visions than having his own. Since Newt's future will at least go through WWII; I don't feel particularly comfortable making visions of that in any capacity and I don't have any particular Deerington visions potentials either. One memory I am considering is Dumbledore's funeral, but that's about it.

I'm more inclined to having Newt experience a vision someone else is experiencing.

Event Ideas:
Power Swapping carryover from last month: I'm considering just keeping Lance as a dragon OR giving him the same powers as Rogue from X-Men this month and having some fun nearly killing people and having them in his head/their powers when he touches them.

The Show of the Century memory share: Lance's most horrific memories are mostly from Deerington, but there's a couple from home I could add to the mix as well. The memories I'll have played out in a very realistic and gory fashion on stage (rather than parody) are:
- When the Winter Lantern creature in the corpse tunnels in January's event fed on his sanity, leaving him permanently mentally unstable.
- When he killed Allura in the corpse tunnels, also in January, after the Winter Lantern took ALL of her sanity. The thread will be linked, it's very depressing.
- The canon memory of when Shiro tried to talk to him inside Voltron's mind-meld and then when he had a mini breakdown after finding out the truth and apologized. Basically every time he perceives that he failed Shiro and failed as Red paladin.
- Canon memories of the war in general. I kinda want to explore the effects that blowing up so many ships (and the people in them), and sniping enemies that are not drones have on him, something not addressed in canon.
- Perhaps some childhood memories that I headcanon, that are rather benign by comparison to the above. Typical coming of age struggles that give insight into why he is who he is.

The Booths: Lance misses a lot of stuff from his home on Earth, and Cuba specifically, so he will definitely be trying to win games to get his stuff, and eventually steal it if he has to. Will also help others steal the things they want.

Clowning Around: Lance has a few fears the clown could use to torment him, both internal insecurities and things that could manifest physically. I would really like him to have to overcome a couple specific ones though it would be challenging because of the trauma attached being intense and fresh. He's obviously afraid of the Winter Lanterns, and he's also afraid of space, the vastness of it, the stars. Why he's afraid of it is rather complicated to get into, but he used to love it, and I'd like him to return to loving it. And tight, enclosed, cold spaces are also things he's not a fan of. He's also got a lot of things he hates about himself especially since he killed Allura that the clown can use to hurt him emotionally with words. His insecurities about not being good enough or worthy, how he's failed in canon in his role as Red Paladin and how he's a coward and weak and useless... all that juicy stuff.

The Sewer: Lance will easily get drawn in by the creature taking the form of his sister. I'd like for him to get into a difficult situation here and I'm open to him dying in some way, but I'm kind of picky about how he dies so I'm gonna bounce ideas around with anyone interested before settling on whether I do it or not and how. I'm interested in him being turned into one of the monsters and being killed while trying to hunt someone and I'm also interested in someone trying to save him from inside the sac and accidentally killing him etc. These options have more emotional weight and impact if it's close CR, I feel. However, I'm also down to NOT kill him in the second scenario and make it a bonding experience with newer CR. Basically, I am super flexible outside of my pickiness on how he dies haha.

Smoke Them Out: Definitely also down for this part of the event and willing to explore all kinds of different futures and possible futures, all except for Voltron canon's actual future (lmao >_>). I think which futures explored depends on who he's with, so if you're interested in that just lmk!

Event Ideas: His alien hand companion is still MIA, thanks to the fog. After talking to a few people, especially Izuku, Shinichi's thought is that Migi isn't gone completely or else his entire arm would be... gone. He's definitely still in there, maybe just so weak he can't do anything, so Shinichi will be going to THE CIRCUS and exploring things for Migi's sake? If any of his CR who know about Migi would want to help with that, it could be fun. Or if anyone who doesn't know Migi wants to do some general circus activities, it could be a good way to meet new people! Basically I'd love to do some lighter-hearted circus times inbetween the angst. Cotton candy before the clowns kill everyone

He probably will meander into a couple of THE TENTS, if anyone would like to see a memory played out. This could be for existing CR to get to know his past a little better, but I don't mind new CR witnessing it too. For, you know, a conversation starter.

There's a lot of room to play with this. Most options would involve some level of body horror, since this is Parasyte, but I can be tame with that if you like. Some specific thoughts: when Migi had just hatched into a baby worm.. thing, and his first meeting with Shinichi... Shinichi killing his first alien (for some angst), some light-hearted memory involving his three cute friends from home... I would offer up the memory of his mother (taken over by an alien) killing him, but that's really sensitive still and I'm not sure I should tackle it right now. I NEED TO THINK ON THAT ONE.

As for THE BOOTHS, he will have a very hard time without Migi's abilities being able to help him out, so he's going to try to steal this special item. This will be the first crime Shinichi Izumi has ever committed.... A partner in crime or someone to try to stop him would both be welcomed. Either way, he's going to be Very Nervous and not at all good at thievery

CLOWN, SEWER, ETC. THINGS: I won't be making any specific plans myself, but I can offer him as a supporting role for others, if needed! And I have no limits there. :)

OKAY SO Izuku is currently still unable to use his Quirk, One For All, and won't be able to until the end of the month. He has gained some new abilities though that folks will be able to see him using throughout this event. The first is that he's gained the ability to breathe fire, and the second are a pair of green wings growing from his shoulders. There are a couple days in the month where he's going to have a full on dragon head to match his new abilities, so if anybody wants to play with that too there will be a small window for it! Otherwise he'll be as normal save for the wings.

The Show of the Century | Some spoilers for My Hero Academia (the anime and manga have covered this though but just as a warning!): Since losing OFA, Izuku has been bothered by why it's vanished and what he'll do if it doesn't come back. For this part of the event, I want him to see reinacted All Might's final battle with All For One when he loses the last of his power for good. Anyone is welcome to be sitting near Izuku when this occurs so they can watch as well, because it's definitely going to be pretty intense. Izuku's going to be left really shaken by it afterwards regardless of it just being a play. He won't try to leave though, he'll just be...very obviously affected.

The Booths: I really like the concept of things being available to win at these booths from their homes. For Izuku's part, they'll be a bit sillier but still directly related to what he sees during the previous prompt...there will be a LOT of All Might merchandise available to win, all of it things he's collected from home.

He's going to want to win it all. Desperately. He will keep playing even if he loses over and over. Someone might want to bring him to his senses...or maybe even cheat/steal to help him win something, even though he'd be pretty scandalized by that notion.

Clowning Around/Hiya!: As much as I love body horror and monsters, I probably won't involve Izuku with the Sewer Dwellers in a way that gets him eaten and turned. I am interested in the Clown prompt though even though I have a bit less of an idea yet of what I want to do with them, but if anybody is interested in that let me know! Some of Izuku's big fears involve failing to live up to his role in being a hero, causing people to get hurt for his sake/being reckless, things like that.

Smoke them Out: I'm interested in making up some sort of fake, potential future for Izuku in Deerington. Not canon, just Deerington as a whole that will also probably play on his fears. A lot of fear based shit going on with Izuku this month! He'll be pretty affected by breathing the smoke too since he's already breathing fire this month, so you know...that'll probably mix weirdly.

SHOW OF THE CENTURY

I'm waffling a little bit on this one, but I think the memory I'd like to share is when Credence destroyed New York. BUT hard mode: because his control during that whole incident was mostly something he'd given up to let the obscurus run rampant, the memory is hazy. It's obvious from the memory that plays that this angry black magical mass destroyed a huge chunk of the city, but it's seen from outside, not inside. It cuts off before Newt and Tina try to talk to him, so there's no indication of the obscurus being him, though depending on our CR I'm chill about people finding out about it. I just don't want everyone and their dog to know because it's a lot more fun for me as a player to reveal it to people and have them be like WHAT about it lmao.

Bouncing around the idea of having It appear as Mary Lou Barebone but it's hard for me to figure out how to do this without wrecking the town in response lmao so I'll have to decide on what to wreck (not half the town) and how to do it. If you want to bounce this idea around with me and learn about how absolutely terrible Credence's past actually was, lmk! As a warning, this will deal with religious trauma and child abuse.

Credence won't be being lured in by monsters but I'm up to having him help with rescue efforts. This is probably easiest with existing CR because he's definitely not brave or heroic enough to help a random stranger l-lol.

SMOKE THEM OUT

Considering showing Credence the events at the end of Chamber of Secrets. This is long after he's dead as far as anyone knows (gj having to guess what the hell happens to him between FB2 and the main HP series), BUT there's one thing that connects him to this memory: Fawkes, the phoenix. It's implied, though not confirmed, that Fawkes is the same phoenix that Credence has at the end of FB2 (and here in Deerington). SO honestly I'm just doing this to make him be like WHAT. Also he's traumatised enough, I figure I can give him just some confusing future news and not something truly awful :')

Though it bears mentioning (and I talked to Xan about this) that if you share Grindelwald's future vision, Credence is possibly part of that terrible "bad wizards" win future. So far, only Newt actually knows that Credence ~~joins the bad guys~~ in the end. Most people think he's a fragile shy boy, which he is, but also like...the villain future could happen, you never know! Maybe your character, having seen that future, might think of Credence in a different light. Let's play with that?

Ronan Lynch | The Raven Cycle

OOC Limits: I'm not looking for Ronan to die. I also cannot be involved in watching memories or futures involving violent deaths/murders of parents or adult family members right now.

Desired CR: He needs ongoing positive CR, but he also needs ongoing negative CR. I'm struggling to get CR with him so meeting new people would be really great.
Unwanted CR: none, I'm pretty chill right now. That said, I struggle writing fights and Ronan gets into a lot of them so I'm not really looking for fistfight type threads at the moment.

Event Ideas:

THE SHOW OF THE CENTURY

Since I'm already bothering Ronan with this memory, why not ramp it up? Ronan's tent will show one fourth of July party in Henrietta, Virginia that is full of drugs, alcohol, half-naked teenagers, a whole string of white Mitsubishi Evos...and the violent, fiery death of Joseph Kavinsky, who Ronan had a complicated relationship with, and whose death he feels responsible for and also furious about. It will be really obvious from the stage that Ronan was there when this death happened.

Probably should mention that Ronan won't deny this, but he's not going to want to talk about it, even if he knows you. I'm fine with characters trying to get him to deal with this shit, but he'll probably just get drunk and break something, idk. This boy needs friends that he can process feelings with besides Gansey lmao

THE BOOTHS

Plot twist: Ronan can dream shit up! I'm not tempting him with any of these booths, but if he catches your character looking, he may offer to dream up that thing for you. Ronan's power nerf comes with a price, though. If he's trying to get you something important or signficant (in size or just significant to you), nightmare monsters will come out of the dream too. (He's going to be aware of this by the time this event starts, because by then he will have dreamt up a new version of Shades's black Cadillac that got wrecked in their street race.) He'll warn you about the monsters, dw. I really don't get to play with Ronan's dream powers much, so!

CLOWNING AROUND

I'm on the fence about this right now, but if I go for it, Ronan will be getting the version that yells things, because it's so much easier to play on his guilt than on anything else he might be afraid of; the things he's scared of are more intangible than that.

ALSO on the fence about this, but if I go ahead with it, Ronan will see his brother Matthew and not hell or high water would keep him from going after Matthew, even if he's suspicious. That's not a chance he could or would ever take.

AS AN ASIDE THOUGH: Ronan currently has Bran Stark's warg powers. If you're not familiar with Game of Thrones, Bran can yeet himself into other people's bodies, or animal's bodies, and control them. What does this have to do with this horror prompt, you may ask? WELL, it means that Ronan may be able to project himself into someone else's body and get them away from the monsters (BEFORE they're eaten, though you know, he could Men In Black bust someone out of stomach maybe, idk, whatever you like). Alternately, he could possess a monster and make it self-destruct. I'm down for anything. I haven't gotten to play with this ability yet so I'd really be down for it much more than just having Ronan get vored by a monster.

I won't be doing a possible future for Ronan here bc he basically lives in this world, literally where I live, so meh. But I'm down to have him watch a couple other futures - the further off from our world, the better!

Desired CR: Anything! Top priorities are fellow criminals/other bad influences to pull him one direction, and people/children/innocents he can protect to pull him in another. I'm playing his morality like it's a Bioware game, ya'll. Help me make it better or worse. He also killed a good number of townsfolk during the Purge event so if anyone wants to take issue, negative CR is also fine with me! Besides that, strengthening current CR to get to what little gooey center he has.
Unwanted CR: This is 100% a failing on my part but I'm really bad with things that stray too far into the absurd, my sense of humor doesn't work that way. Wacky characters and situations are just a bad fit for my brain I'm sorry.

Event Ideas:
Preface: I threw the player plot at him pretty hard, and he'll have already by haunted by his friend Darius aka "Comanche" and chased by other ghosts. So he'll be pretty gunshy this month as far as even leaving his house. But it also makes him more emotionally vulnerable from jump. My caveat for killing him (the first time) has always been that it needs to be FOR someone else.

Show of the Century
Shades will be drawn in for this once because I can't resist a little memory theatre, but his memory will absolutely be when he (spoilers) kills Darius and also confesses he loves him. I'm most interested in this with current CR but honestly if anyone wants to see him completely shaken, this will do it.

The Booths
Nothing specific here, though he might find some childhood treats at the stalls and be nostalgic. Otherwise for a very materialistic person there's nothing specfic that would tempt him.

Clowning Around
Shades is a pretty unshakable character, it's kind of his defining character trait. But not entirely. After thinking about it, I think he'd fear becoming the kind of monster Mariah was turning into. As much as he wants to run things he hates to see violence blow back on people that don't deserve it. So the clown will taunt him a lot, I think, and eventually manifest as Mariah. He'll manage to confront her and banish the clown but clown!Mariah might be a thing.

Hiya!
Option 1: The monster will try to taunt him with Darius but he'll never believe that it's him. He'll be emotionally shaken enough to talk to him long enough for the monster to get fed up and attack him on the street. In this scenario, he may need help killing it but will be badly injured.

Option 2: AKA maximum horror - While he won't go down into the sewer for himself, if someone he knows is pulled down into the sewer he will intervene so that the person can escape and get vore'd in the process. This will also likely mean he'll become a monster himself. I'm waiting to see if that actually means death, but I think it does. Either way he could also then be killed by other people.

Option 3: As above but he gets rescued later and cut out of the monster and gets to be paralyzed for awhile!

THE SHOW OF THE CENTURY There are many, many, many memories that I’m down to sharing here: the night of the particle accelerator explosion (and losing Ronnie the first time), losing Ronnie again, watching “Jay” die, her time spent on Earth-2 with Zoom, the day/night she lost control of her powers/dark side and tried to kill her best friends, her own death and resurrection as Killer Frost, the fight with her father’s alter ego Icicle. If any of these pique your interested, let me know. I’m open to writing up two of these memories for viewing/interaction, and I’m down to having Caitlin witness others’ memories.

THE BOOTHS There could be several booths featuring things from Caitlin’s world: Big Belly Burger, CC Jitters (featuring the “Killer Frost,” a peppermint mocha frappuccino-style drink), a booth that serves peanut butter and jelly waffles (a childhood favorite), and a booth selling superhero merch from her world: action figures, bobble heads, cheap masks and costumes. She will also be hitting up the games to win back those personal mementos She’s not above cheating, and she’ll help others win back their stuff.

HIYA! So who’s going to stupidly go down into the sewers, get paralyzed, consumed, and end up in one of those sacs? This girl. I’ve already got Jay lined up to save her with Jack, but she may need someone to talk through that nightmare with. Just when her life seemed traumatic enough.

I would love to follow up and continue CR between Caitlin and Newt! Their first thread was wonderful and I definitely would like to see more of the two!

I'm up for them experiencing one or the other's memories. I'm game for Newt seeing one of hers or Caitlin seeing any of his!

Alternatively, I'm also happy to have Newt sit down and talk with her after she gets saved. He's a good nurturing fellow and the kind to help others out and he had already was very willing to talk to her before even when he was in child form.
