OOC Limits: I'm cool with most things. Mainly just hardcore surgical body horror like Human Centipede is what squicks me most, though other body horror like transformations and alien chest bursters are okay.

Character Name: Lance
Age: 19
Employment in Deerington: Recently he's been working night shifts at the drive-in theater as a camera operator, a part time driving instructor at the high school and operating the prize booth at the Arcade.
Residence in Deerington: The Haus of Maus
Day to Day Activities: He keeps himself busy more and more lately, running from his demons I guess you could say. When he's not working his jobs, he's probably walking with the dire wolf he and Allura adopted out in the wilderness, or finding somewhere to abuse illicit substances in peace... like the Junkyard, you know, running from them demons. But on a good day he'll play video games in the Arcade in his time off from his job there, play guitar in the park or anywhere else that's nice to hang around and play some music in, and he'll visit the comic book shop and the club scene quite a bit.

About This Character: Lance is a teenage fighter pilot tossed into an intergalactic space war against an evil empire of purple space furries. He started out as the archetypal cocky, moronic flirt of the team and over time we've gotten to see that he's rather intelligent both mentally and emotionally, struggles with self worth and truly opening up to people. He comes from a large Cuban family who he loves very much, and he's often homesick though he keeps that close to the chest and hides it under bravado and humor. In Deerington, he's been through a lot, after a whole year in game now, he's accumulated his fair share of trauma that he continues to try and cope with under bravado and humor, but it's often not enough.
Any Warnings: Though he doesn't have a particularly rough past in canon, Lance is technically a teenage war veteran. Though it's not something the show talks about, perhaps because the realities of war are a bit heavy for a Y7 show, I do explore the psychological consequences of being on the frontlines of a war out in space sometimes. And his experiences in Deerington have piled on even more PTSD, so he now also comes with a warning for substance abuse/addiction, slight psychosis from a monster taking a chunk of his sanity some time ago, depression and suicidal ideation.

Present Life: Well, Lance just came back from the dead in time for the event, after being dead for a whole month. Because returning is a choice and Lance went through a lot of heavy stuff, he wasn't sure he wanted to come back for a while. Currently, he's dealing with everything he did leading up to his painful murder at Reaper's hands, death flu, and the moon madness making it all worse. But he's also reached a point where he knows he can't keep going on as he has and will soon be looking into ways to try and... fix himself. Not the healthiest approach, but at least he's proactive?
Future Ideas: As much as I love hurting Lance and tearing him down, there comes a point where I have to build him up a bit more... so I can eventually tear him down again. I have plans for him to seek help from Moira for his sanity problems and then end up with some powers thanks to genetic meddling. I also want him to experience a second death sometime in the next couple months and come back as a ghost now that we have permanent monsters. These experiences will help force him to face certain problems he's been avoiding dealing with in interesting ways.

CR You Want: All of it. Friends, enemies, relationships somewhere in between that are weird and difficult to define, and even some casual intimate partners.
CR You Don't Want: Romance. For now. He's in the worst place for a committed relationship, however I'm okay with dating disaster situations.

Vira's around to add some level of support and general 'there for you' as he goes through the disaster of recovering from death and going psycho in the dome. She's probably one of the more forgiving people when it comes to "What did I do during the event last summer" so possibly this may help, though she's also not the one that he killed, so... yep.
