Welcome to our very first event! This is an exciting time and the event provides several chance encounters for your characters. Remember, everyone, all things in this game has consequences so don't think this will be the last you hear of this event.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: I'm definitely interested in Before the Storm aspect of things, and Take Cover and dealing with the fog and then I'm game for stuff in And All Was Quiet. She will be hiding in her house for most of the giant spider/insect stuff. Like, boarding up windows and shit. Anyone want to help her board up every window in the house? Fuck giant flying bugs.

CR Wanted: For this event? Fighting spiders, sheltering from the rain, finding the body of someone that's just full of bugs and being presented with the prospect of mercy killing them. Fushi will... probably not be able to, but I'd like to play with the moral struggle if anyone's interested. He'll be very distressed by the whole situation tbh.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:
-Getting partially burned by the fire and oily rain
-Rescuing people
-Hiding out in one of the non-occupied farmhouses and dealing with bits progressively being destroyed
-Totally trying to go to the mountain

CR Wanted:I would love to have something happen to Arya in this event and someone save her? Perhaps one of the spiders snatches her, cocoons her up, and someone manages to stop them? Also would be fun if she could have some people holed up in her home and they can do battle against the bugs trying to get in the house, everyone holding makeshift weapons. Arya's got dibs on the frying pan!
CR Not Wanted: I don't think I want her dying herself this time (eventually, but just not yet!), but that's really the only thing I'm not looking to thread out for this particular event.
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:
See above. Cocooned Arya, bug battle with household appliances, snarking the entire time between Arya and whomever is with her trying to survive the various goings on in this crazy town?

CR Wanted: People to save? Fight alongside? Bicker with? idk??? anything??? F.E.A.R. CR.
CR Not Wanted: I don't wanna kill El so anything wrt that.
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:
El pretty quickly found out about F.E.A.R. since he's a huge conspiracy nut and stuff like that is right in his realm. Because of his suspicion and his want to help people and be on top of things, he immediately signed up as a Soldier. So he'll be out and about helping people in cool gear, I guess. He doesn't exactly trust the place yet at all, but if it gives him cool goodies to help, then he'll help (Even if he'll mostly use his magic instead). This means if you want to experience a F.E.A.R. soldier that doesn't really know what the heck he's doing it and is basically winging it as badly as Shrek when saving Princess Fiona, he's your guy. Also he will 100% be complaining about how much he hates spiders the entire time.

CR Wanted: Someone please save him. He's going to be running so much. His leg hurts. Please. But also, if someone needs help from Newt, he can certainly try to help.
CR Not Wanted: Don't wanna kill Newt either, sorry.
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: He'll probably be accompanying Tommy to try to see what's up with that weird Mountain because we all know Thomas can't leave well enough alone. He's also just generally going to be trying to survive... He doesn't think anybody asked for this, go away tiny evil grievers. I'm totally down for making friendships through this event for him. He doesn't really know anyone yet.

Character Name: Elena Gilbert (The Vampire Diaries)

CR Wanted:

✦ F.E.A.R. things! This seems like the absolute perfect time to get things started with the others involved.
✦ Elena rescuing someone from a situation, trying to heal them with her blood, and things going horribly wrong. (See her permissions for info on her healing blood.)
✦ Someone pointing out that she's insane for whatever ridiculous Elena thing she's doing.
✦ Elena lives in quite a large house with rooms to spare, so if anyone needs a place to bunk down for safety in numbers, they'd be more than welcome.

CR Not Wanted:

✦ Things with the spider-creatures nesting. This is one of the things I cannot handle personally, so I'll be avoiding this part of the plot with Elena. Happy to have her battling those spider-things though, or getting stung / rescuing someone who's been stung, or even things to do with their feeding on people.
✦ I'd prefer not to have her first death happen this early in the game, but I'm not ruling it out entirely, since it could potentially happen if she does something too Elena.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:

✦ Before the Storm - Elena is a Park Ranger and could be out in the forest when everything starts to get eerie and the siren begins to wail. This would be a great chance to run into someone else who's equally WTF about things, and head back to town together.

✦ Take Cover - While Elena might start off being smart and taking shelter when the black rain starts (either in the Parks & Rec Department, her house, or somewhere around town), she is most definitely the sort of person to run out into the run and hail to help someone else. She's a vampire with superspeed and accelerated healing, so she's not concerned with any injuries she receives, but she will be worried about anyone she sees out in that mess. Does your character need a rescue attempt? We've got you covered. Does your character need healing? Elena would certainly try giving them her blood to heal them, but unfortunately it would have the exact opposite result.

✦ The Mountain Sighs - Again, Elena will absolutely be out in the fog for at least a little while to protect someone or get somewhere to help. She'll grab whatever she can find to physically fend off those flying spiders (yay superstrength) and will help anyone who needs it to board up and secure their homes. And since she is a vampire, if anyone needs poison sucked out of their blood... Well.

✦ And All was Quiet - I have no ideas for this but I definitely want things.

CR Wanted: Everything, honestly. I'd love to have him rescue someone, because I'd love to start getting some positive CR that will become complicated later when his true nature starts to come out. My OOC intro may give a better idea for what I want in general.
CR Not Wanted: N/A
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: The sense of doom and an incoming apocalypse canonically makes him feel kind of giddy even if there's immediate danger present so people can wonder why the hell this guy's so happy. He'll also be interested in collecting samples of anything to study. I'd also love if he ended up using some of his more demonic/frightening powers to help others during this event, for a good mix of 'he helped me but also he's creepy'.

I'm up for playing all parts of this event!

Elena's going to be trying to rescue people herself, but those attempts usually lead to her being the one in need of rescuing, so we could definitely go that route if you're interested.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: Before the Storm is gonna find Bev running around town on her bike trying to stock up on things.
Take Cover Bev caught in the storm on her way home after doing a supply run would be a lot of fun. During the storm itself, she's gonna hole up in her home. Once the power goes out, expect blanket forts and candles. If anyone wants to find themselves stuck in Loser House, just know that you will be expected to participate in fort building.

CR Wanted:

F.E.A.R. things. Be it fellow team members, people who might want to get involved with F.E.A.R.but their character needs an IC excuse.

Partners in crime: With hell (literally) raining down on them, Scarlett will definitely try and partner up with anyone who isn't completely freaking out.

People who could use a rescue.

Scarlett will probably spend most of her time when not out there being crazy, at F.E.A.R. H.Q. There's plenty of room to take people in if they need a safe place to bed down.

IC Inbox things. I'm such a big fan of these. Anyone who Scarlett might help - even briefly - she will tell them to call/message her if they need anything else before heading back out into the fray.

CR Not Wanted:

Given Scarlett's abilities (noted below) it's actually pretty difficult for her to die right now. Not impossible, but death would need to be pretty quick for it to happen, or she'll simply heal from it (and then power warping). It's less 'not wanted' and more, unlikely.

Anything else is on the cards. We can hammer out boundaries in terms of graphic content before we jump in.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:
N.B. If you'd like to handwave shorter interactions for the purpose of establishing a jumping point for future CR, or for using her IC Inbox, just hit me up. There's a solid chance that Scarlett won't remember everyone she picks up + drops off.

Before The Storm + Take Cover

Scarlett will be out on her Motorcycle when the black rain starts to come. She will be ferrying those in need to cover. She can take one adult or a couple of kids at a time.

Why yes, Scarlett is stupid enough to still be out there when things start catching on fire. Her bike can at least get her in and out of places a regular car cannot so there's potential for some hairier escapes.

The Mountain Sighs

Search and Rescue - particularly if somebody manages to send her an SOS text of sorts, Scarlett will head out to try and find people who have been taken by the spiders.

Weapons, even at F.E.A.R. are fairly limited, but if she's out there doing search and rescue, she'd at least take something other than her Katana with her so there's the potential for her offering you a weapon if you two are working together.

Her medical training is fairly limited but she'll do what she can to at least stabilize people before getting them to safety.

And All Was Quiet

Recon group to the mountain anyone? I'm really eager to explore this option as Scarlett can't go and heal away hallucinations.

Important Note On Abilities

Scarlett has Rapid Cellular Regeneration, this allows her to heal almost instantly from almost any injury. With power warping, this means that anyone within ten feet of Scarlett will get her injuries when she heals. The problem with this... Scarlett doesn't know this yet.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: anyone want to take shelter together, figure out food supplies, not die via fire, things of that nature? I don't have any particular ideas atm, but I'm inclined towards the first two parts of the event!

CR Wanted: open to just about anything. I wouldn't mind people who need help, mutual helping or even people helping Bucky out. He's super strong and resilient, but he's also currently sporting only one arm and he's very much not used to fighting without his currently missing metal prosthetic arm, so he's at less of an advantage than he might normally be, but he's not helpless, either.
CR Not Wanted: Not looking to kill Bucky this time around, but just about anything else goes.
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:
I am mostly interested in playing with the rain and other aspects of the storm, as well as the fog/insect things.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: Jesse isn't currently a member of F.E.A.R. (he has hangups when it comes to self-policing paramilitary organizations), but he'll be out and about looking to help people. If you need someone to help you prepare for the coming storm or help you get out of a bind, Jesse is your man.

Am considering having him experience a good paranoid freakout during And All Was Quiet, so let me know if anyone would like to help talk him down from that.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: I'm gonna have him stuck aside for at least a little part of the rain event and maybe some of the fog, so he'll need an assist there. He can do some fighting with his magic, it's just risky for himself and people in the vicinity. Anyone who wants to shelter in the apartment building in Brahms can run into him there too, he will make you food because it's his coping mechanism.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:

Let's see, for Before the Storm & Take Cover, she's living in the David Cliff Apartments and might need help protecting her place against the storm or if someone is willing to let her follow them home to hide. She'll probably be at the Vet Clinic or on her way to her second job at the book store. With waking up in a new place, Justine's kind of thrown herself into work because that helps keep her mind busy.

Any physical pressure will have her snap and lash out violently. I'd be game for her getting hurt if anyone wants to see how messed up her thoughts are >.< It would be fun but something I'd like to do on a personal bases since Justine will be more focused on those who learn that about her.

Other than that... I'm honestly good for anything. Justine will try and help people if she thinks she can but she isn't super strong or anything so it can always backfire horribly. (Which is fun)

CR Wanted: If anyone needs rescuing during the black rain, dis kid has a car and is going to be pretty freaked by that whole deal. He's also going to wander into the forest to see the weird legy stick out real far.
CR Not Wanted: No bugs. Gansey has trauma about buzzing stinging things. the tiny version can kill him, much less the bigger one. Unless someone would like to try and talk him down from a serious panic attack, he's not doing any bug-related things. Also, no killing of the Gansey. He's died enough times.
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: Someone please drag this idiot out of the forest, where he will probably be trying to talk to the trees. Or come trip with him, that's cool too. Anyone willing to sit with him losing his mind over bugs is welcome. An intro to FEAR would be cool, although this kid is the most useless combatant in the history of hale, healthy teenaged boys. He also has a car for transportation, and will be contacting pretty much everyone he's talked to at some point during the event to check on them, more often for the kids.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:
➟ Eddie will probably be rushing around getting genuinely practical things for the storm before the storm. Like. Overly practical for what someone would anticipate from a kid......probably too practical....
➟ During the storm he'll be camping out at his house, but if anyone is interested in catching Eddie half way home when it starts to rain or something, I'm down.
➟ For the bugs, I'm very open to whatever. Eddie is a really good flex option because he can play heroics and go screaming bloody murder into killing some bugs, or on the flip side he can go screaming bloody horror away from bugs depending on how he's doing. So you can play hero or damsel with this kid, OR you can team up with him which is particularly likely. Especially with other kiddos.
➟ I'm not against him venturing towards the mountain but he would absolutely need to be convinced.


Character Name: Kieren Walker
CR Wanted: All. He has none really yet.
CR Not Wanted: He won't be out and about during the bug scenario. He's gonna be helping Gansey Through Some Stuff.

➟ Kieren is gonna be REALLY obviously anxious about this storm and trying to hurry up on supplies.
➟ I might have him around during the actual storm part and he will be freaking about his make up coming off and trying to get home but he's kind enough to help people if they need it.
➟ After the storm, he's going to try and help people fix up things if they seem like they need the help.

CR Not Wanted: nothing I can think of at the moment applies
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: Given the rain is like oil, Seth wouldn't be driving around in his car too much. It'll be garage kept by the time hail begins to fall. He might be lured out if someone vulnerable needed help, otherwise he'll be staying in until the shit storm comes to an end. I don't have any issue of him dying in an attempt to help someone out, if that's something anyone wants to do.

Idk if the chance would come up during this particular event but I feel, for some reason, like Eddie and Seth are going to get a point where they're just going to aggressively sass each other into the great beyond.

Although I am kind of amused by the idea of Eddie being in despair often around Seth and constantly reluctant to accept his help even when he really, really obviously needs it.

CR Wanted: ... Everything. I know that's vague but it's da troof y'all. People to rescue, teamwork, F.E.A.R. things!!
CR Not Wanted: It turns out Thomas is actually pretty good at evading death despite his tendency to run head first into dangerous situations, so I'm not looking to kill him (yet). Otherwise, everything is a go, baby.
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:

BEFORE THE STORM + TAKE COVER

► Thomas is likely to be literally anywhere when the sirens start because he doesn't know how to sit still and he's too curious and paranoid about Deerington for his (and probably everyone else's) own good, so if anyone would like to run into him then, I'm down. He'll prooobably not really be listening to anyone's warnings and instead trying to figure out wtf is about to go down on his own since no one wants to answer his 8000 questions.

► Thomas, being the nosy, curious, snooping boy that he is discovered F.E.A.R. fairly shortly after he arrived and decided, after some serious thought, to join for very specific and personal reason which are not important but actually really are points to eyes, points to F.E.A.R.. So he's a soldier, and likely to be out trying to help people get to safety (in his super awesome F.E.A.R. gear and whatnot i guess) once the rain the hail starts. If you need rescuing, Thomas is maybe your guy! Just bear in mind that he's kind of reckless and typically survives everything by the skin of his teeth, so you're probably not gonna have a great time. But you'll survive! Probably. Hopefully. People also tend to die around Thomas a lot too so there's always... that. That's also a thing, if you want it. Trauma!

THE MOUNTAIN SIGHS

► Uhhh. As stated before, Thomas is stupidly-curious and would probably immediately go outside after the storm (if he ever even made it back inside, tbh) to investigate, so there's potential here for... encounters in the fog once it eventually rolls in? Helping people get the fuck out of dodge of the spiders, maybe rescuing someone (or someones?) who have been paralyzed and turned into a burrito or w/e? ... Sucking the poison out of someone's wound I guess? I'm honestly up for anything short of Thomas dying.

Anyway, Thomas has some experience with murderous bug-like creatures so he'll probably be a little less freaked out than he should be. WCKD makes bigger stingy bugs.

AND ALL WAS QUIET

► If you think Thomas isn't going to go check out these lights on top of Mount Doom then 🎶 you're wroooong 🎶. Anyone is welcome to join him or run into him or tell him he should really consider, idk, maybe not booking it into the forest towards what could be some kind of hostile civilization or something.

Also, hallucinations! Hallucinations sound fun. Running away when Thomas normally wouldn't, and then wondering wtf was up with that and returning to the mountain several times sounds fun. Alien legs dangling from the sky? He's there.

Character Name: Magdy Jackson
CR Wanted: Errthang.
CR Not Wanted: Not tryna kill him yet.
Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:

TAKE COVER

► I'm crashing fast but I'm trying to get this comment done before I succumb to this headache so all I have to offer right now is this: Magdy is a witch with the ability to manipulate the five senses in a number of different ways. Specifically, I was thinking that if someone winds up injured by the hail, Magdy wouldn't be able to heal them, but he could lessen their sensitivity to pain for a little while (by temporarily dulling/deadening the nerves/receptors responsible for sending the signal to the brain that registers pain), at least until they can get inside and maybe get patched up. However, this would heighten Magdy's sensitivity to pain per his ability warping, so there's also room there for. I don't know. Shenanigans. Either way, check out these permissions!

Otherwise, he'll probably just hang out inside his house until the storm passes. Anyone is more than welcome to come bang on his door looking for shelter or help or whatever.

THE MOUNTAIN SIGHS

► I'm kinda jonesin' for Magdy to use his magic since he doesn't actually use it very much in general outside of shady business deals and sometimes fucking around with his friends for shits and gigs and/or when they're starting to grate on his nerves. Anyway — this could include manipulating how the spiders/bugs perceive him (ie: tweaking their perception of him so they see him as another spider/flying shitbag), fuckin' with their hearing, etc. Of course, there are some repercussions here per his power warping, but I still wanna play around with it, sooo... if anyone wants to maybe get the fuck out of dodge or run for cover while a witch tests the limits of his magic, that'd be... cool. He can maybe accidentally protect someone (or someones), or... I don't know. I'M BAD AT PLOTTING OKAY.

Also, Magdy's friend Elliot gave him a gun to protect himself with, so. There's also that option too, I guess.

Alternatively, Magdy is also pretty good at like... handling other people's anxiety and calming people down from experience, so if anyone needs somewhere to stay and/or someone to hang with who isn't going to judge or add to someone's stress/anxiety/panic, Magdy is your guy.

For squick reasons, I'm opting out of the second part of the event, i.e all the stuff pertaining to the bugs. BUT aside from that, I'm super available to plotting for the rest of it though -- if anyone needs pulling out of the storm or a place to hide, it's him, ya dad. I still have to shove him into an apartment, but by all means, if there's something that needs a buff dude with a metal arm, hit me up!

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event:
You know what? I'm game for anything. Save El from being spider chow, hide with her from scary fog, all that shit. She can take care of herself to an extent and really help other people if they want to attack things because she can trap them in her telepathic grip of death, or she can get overwhelmed and wind up in peril or something. If she was out and about when this all starts, she could make new CR by hiding in their houses or something. Re: giant mountain monster, it'll definitely remind her of what she knows about the Mind Flayer in Hawkins' shadow realm, so that could be something to tackle. Same as El. He can't defend himself with telepathy, but he's got a nice bike and a nice bat, so he can attack stuff if he needs to. Maybe give someone a ride home if they're stranded and/or helpless. Team up with people and smack monsters. I'm totally game for making him suck out wound poison and saving spider food or becoming spider food. I'm not eager to have him die, but I really don't mind making him sick.

Iii am probably mostly just going to tag out in this event but if anyone would like Rey for laser sword fighting monster bugs and Force using action, hit me up! She will also be trying to help people and get them to safety so if she winds up with people holed up in her townhouse then that's just what'll happen. She's got room and a really annoying bird-creature.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: Basically, I need him to meet more peeps, so any idea where he has to hunker down with someone, whether that's for the storm or bugs or anything is all good to me.

CR Wanted: Anyone want to discover that he's not human in a very gory way? He basically can't be hurt by anything, so lighting him on fire or having a bug attack him that can't actually sting him or chomp through his skin is on the table. Come be slightly traumatized by watching this happen, everyone.
CR Not Wanted: Again, no death, but I'm up for anything else!

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: To get her out of the house during the fog, someone vulnerable or important to her (ex. kids or Seth) will have to be out there, waiting for her to find them. Maaaybe this could happen. I also have this image of a basically magicless Margo beating pug-spiders with a fire poker. If you're thinking of going towards that mountain, you'd better be a damn good persuasive speaker.
