Welcome to the newest event! This is an exciting time and the event provides several chance encounters for your characters. Remember, everyone, all things in this game has consequences so don't think this will be the last you hear of this event. For additional information you can read about the December Prelude here!

This month is unique in that we have also provided the January Prelude in advance due to the settings shift. You may use this post to plot about January plans as well at least as far as housing goes/etc.

Desired CR: I would really like to build up preexisting CR or develop new CR! There's a lot of new characters in game I've been wanting to hit up real badly but finals/end of school in November ATE ME so I couldn't. I'd like to change that!
Unwanted CR: Romantic?? He's set there & not interested in anyone else. Anything else is good to go.

Event Ideas: I'll outline my general December plans here. Some of them are restricted to certain characters but I am very open to doing whatever for the event so don't be shy about asking for ideas/wanting a prompt for yourself. I will be doing a closed logs for anything planned. Might do a top level or might just tag out on the actual event itself?

Deadlights: We gonna do ourselves a canon fix and have Richie caught in the deadlights and Eddie have to smooch him outta them. THANKS ANDY.

Frozen Heart: Eddie's going to have his heart pierced by the wind and he's going to freeze up faster than a slush puppy. Richie gonna have to bring him out of it thru an act of TRUE LOVE. Wonder what that'll be :|a

Christmas Tree Hunting??: Pretty sure Eddie is going to ask Shiro to help him get a Christmas Tree because Eddie's never actually had one so that needs to be fixed!! Maybe other characters can help him decorate? They'll probably get a way-too big one anyway.

Christmas Eve: Eddie will be spending Christmas Eve with Moira and (presumably) Richie. It will be cute and domestic.

Christmas Day: In the morning he will have breakfast with Chloe + whoever else is around (re the Losers? Other close cr? Idk) and then spend the day probably with his friends. Let me know if your character would stop in / want to see Eddie at least briefly at some point on Christmas. He will be spending Christmas night (presumably) with Richie.

Christmas Gifts: EDDIE HAS MANY OF THESE and you can probably expect some to be delivered throughout the month.

Flower Arrangements for Dance: As seen on his network post (which btw is still live and kickin!) Eddie is offering his services to make people flowers for the upcoming dance. Please feel free to assume he made your character some if you want! I don't mind. You can also just use whatever picture. Eddie is a pretty skilled florist and would be able to make complicated pieces. Idc if we handwave this entirely even if you don't ask / don't have your character interact I'm fine with a "yea I got this from that kid online" or whatever type acknowledgement?

The Dance: Eddie is absolutely going to the dance and his date is Richie. These two won't be dancing anywhere for people to see because Thanks Derry For That, but they will probably be nearly glued to each other's sides most of the night. They will also prob be disappearing once or twice because Reasons.

Anyway Eddie will be around the dance and he'll happily dance with girls and ladies. Maaaybe much older men where it feels like he won't be looked at weirdly for dancing with them. He'll be enjoying a lot of the food. Probably too much.

He's also going to accidentally take the peppermint oops.

I did a lot of serious prompts last month so I'm limiting them this month. HOWEVER if you wanna do anything serious I'm very down. I'm also cool with dementor stuff??? I just haven't made any plans for that but it's whatever. I'd be down with the right situation.

January Things: Eddie will definitely be going on this voyage! He'll be a First Class Passenger living by himself but you bet your socks off he'll mostly just hang with his friends. I might play a bit with his amnesia and make him think he's really All That for fun idk. That's the general plans for January right now.

OH yeah he won't be a vampire during January but he'll become a vampire again come Feb or March.

Event Ideas:
Frozen Heart/Deadlights/Dementors: If anyone would like Fern to be specifically affected by these things let me know as I don't have any specific ideas. This month I'm a little more inclined for him to try and help other people, both new and old cr.
→Copious hugs will likely be involved, if you want your character hugged by a weird-feeling grass kid.
→He also has a dream guide he's willing to use (it'll be in spider form for this event).
→Of course he's always up for attempting to stab some bad guys, regardless of whether it'll work or not.

Happy New Years: Fern will be attending the New Years Ever party! It looks like he'll be going as a friend thing with Bo (sorry in advance Bo), unless anyone is interested in a date-date. I should note his head is a pretty messed up place (especially with an eldritch octopus-spider being half his existence), and while fun to use to build cr is also very intense.
→He can't eat, so he won't be affected by the food/drink.
→Open to mistletoe and Fern spilling some dark secret about his traumas.
→He'll also be hatless for the party, and having trouble controlling his floral growth in his hair.
→A trash magpie that he'd been feeding may also follow him in/be making a nest in his hair.

Christmas in general: Please give me terribly sappy Christmas nonsense. Fern is very interested in this holiday!! As of right now I think Luna will be inviting him to Newt's party, but that's about it.

Titanic: Fern is available to room with, if anyone is interested. I haven't decided which class to put him in, but I'm leaning towards first or third.

Unwanted CR: While I'm open to romance, her love life is already very complicated, so just beware ahaha

Event Ideas:

Deadlights: I don't have any specific plans for this, but I wouldn't mind if someone wants to plot something. I'm just drawing a blank for what I wanna actually do with it.

Frozen Heart: Chloe will definitely have her heart frozen at some point. Since true love can absolutely be from something non-romantic, I don't have a specific plan for how to get her out of it and would love to plot something with her close CR. I'd be willing to have it happen more than once or have Chloe save other people too!

Dementors: Chloe HATES THIS SHIT so I'm obviously going to have her get caught up with them a few times. But her dream guide is extremely powerful for such a little guy so she'll be able to use it to save herself or others if you'd like!

Grady Hotel: Chloe's going to The Party with a couple of dates and going to be latching on to various friends throughout the evening. She's going to want to dance with anyone she knows and she'd be willing to party with strangers too, so don't be shy if you wanna have your character approach her! I'm cool with random CR.

The mistletoe is a trope I gotta get out of my system, so Chloe will be available for all types of smooches! She's going to mostly aim for kisses on the cheek, but I'm okay with surprise kisses too, even if she might not react all too well. She IS going to try and catch one of the things at some point, so she'll be very affectionate and kiss-focused for a little while during the party if anyone wants to do shit with that.

She'll be getting her memories back at midnight along with all the crazy so THAT will be fun too. If anyone wants to deal with that immediate aftermath, let me know!

General December stuff: I'll be getting presents to her close CR by Christmas! She's also going to be up for helping anyone decorate their houses, so if you wanna do cute Christmas tree shit, hit me up. I'm also down for doing stuff with the TDM prompts if people still want to and Chloe is still under the effects of her memory loss from dying.

January: Chloe is going to be on the Titanic and she'll be in third class. She's not going to think she's for real apart of the ship and she will be cautious about the idea of the boat sinking because IT'S THE FUCKING TITANIC. Expect a lot of grumbling and grouchiness from the fully restored, 100% canon memory Chloe.

Event Ideas: Frozen Heart: I actually think I'm going to have Moira get a frozen heart. She doesn't have any romance here, but it would be really good for her to see someone from her close CR actually deeply care about her to be able to do an act of true love to save her. Please let me know if you'd like to save her!! There are very few people she'd save, unfortunately.

The Party: Moira is absolutely showing up and she asked Ironhide to go with her, so she'll have the swaggiest date ever. I'm gonna be up for doing any and all things at the party with her and she loves peppermint so she's gonna probably end up fucked by those little after dinner bastards. PLEASE catch her under the mistletoe. She'll despise it.

General December Stuff: Moira has an on going player plot where she can give your character super powers or even cure them from being a monster. If you need a cure for a character or would like to have your character get awesome powers any time, please hit me up! I'm down for plotting anything!

January: Moira will be in First Class and she'll think that Eddie is her son, so she'll definitely have some amnesia issues. Woops.

He will absolutely be so, so unhappy that dementors are in the town, as he has some personal history since his father died in Azkaban prison, so he's just...not thrilled about this, at all.

Also he currently does not have anything set up for the dance yet.

Deadlights: I am down for plotting ideas for this, but I don't have anything specific. I would love for Bill to get caught in the Deadlights??? If anyone wants to save his booty.

Frozen Heart: Bill won't be getting a frozen heart, but I'd be okay with him saving any of his close friends with an act of true love. If any of my Close CR needs someone to save them, consider the Good Boy.

Dementors: ARE GONNA SCARE THE FUCK OUT OF HIM. PLEASE PROTECT. He might also finally get his dream guide in the Great Sleep this month so he could protect others with that possibly.

The Party: He's going with Breeze and he'll be really excited about this. He never goes to parties, so it's gonna be exciting to him, especially if there's no death games that are looming over their head this time, HOORAY. I'm cool with cheek kisses for the mistletoe if you wanna embarrass the crap out of him and he might ask the tree mannequin to dance because he'd be curious. No drugs for him, but he'll prob get a little underage drunk, stop the child.

General December stuff: Eddie is going to help cure Bill of his ghostliness this month in the Great Sleep, so expect Bill to be fighting this cold by bolting around on Silver EVERYWHERE. He's missed his bike so much guys, you have no idea. He'll be getting Christmas presents for a couple of friends, but otherwise, he's open for anything! TDM prompts, event prompts, random shit, I'm all for ideas.

January: Bill's gonna be second class and he's okay with that. He will have some slight amnesia because Derry makes you prone to that shit.

Event Ideas: Not sure what top levels I'll be doing, but I can definitely put something up if anyone wants to do any of the following. I'm also happy to just tag into other people's threads! Once we hit the holidays, I'll be slow until after the New Year.

To note, if you're not aware, Mary Walker has two personalities: Mary and Walker. Either are available, though I'll be tagging out more often with Mary, probably, since she's triggered by cold weather. Yay snow!

Frozen Heart: It's certainly possible for Mary or Walker to get stuck out in the cold or frozen and need some help. I can also tag out to anyone who wants unfreezing!

Deadlights: Again, I can toss either woman at anyone who wants some help reviving/saving their characters. If anyone is interested in doing some saving, Walker fits this one better because she's the one who mostly remembers their traumatic past.

CW for Walker: She already has PTSD through past experiences with violence, captivity, torture, rape, death. Those subjects may come up if you want to save her and she's being affected by the lights; it's also a way to learn more about her past, if you're interested.

To Dine on your Happiness: General running away from dementors will occur or helping other people get away. At least Walker has a motorcycle, so they can move fast if needed.

Go Out with a Bang: SHE NEEDS A DATE! Well, she doesn't need one but yeah, Mary would love to have a date for the party! Because she REALLY wants to go! Expect her to want to try everything and any/all hi-jinks associated with the party are fair game. Even if you're not her date, she's happy to mingle and bump into anyone for any of those hi-jinks, too!

Event Ideas:

the cold never bothered me anyway

a frozen heart - thom's still a ghost but he's been considering using the moon essence to change back for awhile now and i think it would actually be really interesting for someone to get caught in this event and thom to stress so much about not being able to help them thanks to, you know, being a ghost, that by the time he does manage to save them he's more or less decided he has to get his human body back. closer cr would be preferable for this, but he's a healer class so like he'd stress about anyone getting frozen in front of him regardless of whether or not he knew them so it's not required.

into the deadlights - i'd love to have thom get caught in the deadlights so he can glimpse some sad piece of his future back home. i'm fine with him being rescued at any point in the process, but pre cocoon might be tricky if he's still a ghost and thus incorporeal unless someone figures out how to grab a ghost and drag him down to the ground idk.

to dine on your happiness - no real plans here, but if someone wants thom here, just let me know i'm down for basically anything.

go out with a bang

enjoy your date! - i think louis is trying to wingman thom a date to the party with diarmuid?? maybe. he is at the very least currently dateless. that may change. he'd probably finally be human again in time for the party. if he does go with someone his poorly controlled empathy abilities have a good chance to backfiring horribly on the two of them via the emotional connection thing since with the power swap he's already predisposed to mirroring emotions horribly once it gets going.

holiday honeys - i don't see thom falling prey to the peppermint but absolutely to the eggnog, especially since he's a generally anxious guy in the first place and would sort of appreciate not caring as much. also thom speaking bluntly to people about things could be a whole lot of fun.

mischievous mistletoe - please please get caught under mistletoe with this boy. he'll blush no matter who catches him under, but girls will probably get a quick peck on the cheek so he can just leave an awkward situation. boys he may hesitate for awhile since he's still not technically out, tho he's getting more willing to entertain that, so secrets may wind up spilled until he finally gives in. it would also technically be a first kiss for him so be kind to this anxious boy alright.

general

december - no real plans for the holidays but he's a pretty decent cook so if someone is craving a home cooked meal he'll be ready and willing to use his newly recorporeated hands to whip something up!

january - thom will be on the boat and probably working in the kitchen and i would love to actually play that up in exchanges with other characters, especially in things like that weird tension of trying to socialize outside of strict service exchanges and the like.

Event Ideas:

Christmas / General December Plans: Kurt's going to be spending the holidays with his loved ones at the cabin, but any close CR will have a standing invitation to drop by and share some hugs and warm (probably boozy) drinks and some stollen. There's gonna be lights and a tree, it'll be cosy aesthetic as fuck. Assuming Deerington isn't quite ready to provide a midnight mass, he will nevertheless be heading to the church at midnight on Christmas Eve to spend some time in vigil and prayer, just sort of thinking through stuff. Anyone who might also head to the church over Christmas feel free to join him!

Frozen Heart: Probably going to keep this limited to close CR, but I'm here for this trauma, either with having Kurt get frozen or having him save someone with a loving gesture~

Deadlights/Dementors: No real plans for these but I'm open to ideas! Kurt's going to be spending more time with his dream guide in general so could be in a good place to help someone out if they're being attacked!

NYE party: Kurt loves a party so he will happily go All In on this biz! He's also gonna be dressed real fancy. Ideas I'm considering:
⤷ Kurt loves to dance, especially at parties, and he's pretty good at it. If he's had like, five minutes of interaction with you, or if you're just being a wallflower, expect to be asked to join him.
⤷ Mistletoe! Yes please! Awkward we-just-met smooches, friend smooches, romantic smooches.. bring them to me.
⤷ Peppermint high will probably happen. Prepare to be cuddled.
⤷ Generally Kurt will be making the most of things, so if you're new in town and want to bump into the fuzzy dude (literally?), this is a good place to make it happen.

January Ideas:

Kurt is definitely going to be setting sail (and quietly sad it's not pirate themed, but you can't win 'em all).

Living Arrangements: Kurt's probably going to end up either in second or third class. Come through, steerage realness.

General Plans: I would really like to use this event to lean on the class tension with Kurt, especially in the form of anti-mutant sentiment and/or bigotry. He's had a pretty easy time of it in Deerington (besides the Hunters), so it might be fun for him to have a short sharp reminder that it's not always going to be like that. I'm happy for this to be dictated by the NPCs but if you're willing to turn our current or new CR into something a bit grittier, I'd love to plan something out!

richie tozier | it

a frozen heart - richie will not be getting caught in this event but he's free to save other people from it, thought only with very close cr since he's slow to invest in people enough to be successful saving anyone, really.

into the deadlights - he will be getting caught in this and saved by eddie. this is probably gonna wind up fucking up his vision on top of the horrible nightmares he's gonna have about future events he'll be seeing in the deadlights, but that will mostly result in his vision going back to normal since becoming a werewolf had fixed his vision for a bit.

to dine on your happiness - i'd actually like to get richie involved in this event, either as a victim or a rescuer and give him the chance to summon his dream guide during the attack. i'm not picky on which side of this richie falls tho or how it happens!

go out with a bang

enjoy your date - richie's going with eddie and he'll be a vision in pink florals and you can all die mad i guess, heteronormativity is for cowards. he and eddie are going to be even more mind melded than they usually are which, uh, will probably be nauseating/infuriating probably so yeah die mad.

holiday honeys - richie won't touch the eggnog and only gets caught by the peppermint thanks to eddie but it does mean he'll be disappearing under a table halfway through the party and when he finally appears again it will be VERY OBVIOUS necking and/or vampire feeding of some sort took place in the interim, whoops

mischievous mistletoe - he'll probably get caught under this and be a little shithead to anyone stuck there with him............ though i'm definitely tempted to have him grab the mistletoe and be stuck being honest and kissy all night because he'll hate it desperately.

the ballroom - you'll definitely find richie in here off and on dancing earnestly and probably a lot more friendly in a dancing setting than you might find him just crossing paths with him on the street or whatever. if he dances with boys, he'll make a point of being goofy and exaggerated about it like it's all some huge joke but he's not an especially touchy dancer no matter who he's dancing with.

general

december - richie's spending the christmas season with his losers, mostly dictated by whatever eddie wants because richie's whipped like that idk man. he will be getting a job finally this month at the radio station, where he will be wordlessly playing any and everything from the 50's - today that a closeted gay boy would love to listen to, without ever identifying who exactly is dj-ing this current time slot. he tries to avoid being too obvious with how much kesha he plays since he's pretty vocal of his love of her, but he absolutely plays a lot of taylor swift since he knows eddie loves her.

if you want to recommend artists or songs to me for this time slot, i will be putting together a playlist for his time slot on the radio in the near future!

january - richie will be a third class passenger, someone who conned his way onto the ship last minute more or less, and he's definitely going to be caught by the amnesiac element enough to play into his role whole heartedly. you can bet he's one of those "criminal" third class passengers that second class is so sure are going to steal from them and constantly try to sneak onto levels he's not allowed.

adam young ( good omens )

Desired CR: i haven't been particularly involved with him yet, so i'm still sort of open for all things at this point. i'm definitely interested in people with other biblical type affiliations, i.e. angels/demons.. etc. adam will be a little wary of people who're full on religious christians, but i'm also down for that interaction. he's sort of testing the waters of being honest about what he is here, at least in part because he has Things to work through and this place is a good opportunity to do so.
Unwanted CR: can't think of anything in particular at this point.

Event Ideas:

Frozen Heart
i don't actually want him to full up freeze, but i definitely want at least some symptoms. adam also has a lot of love for like everything in him, so need someone to unfreeze your character? one smol antichrist at your service.

Deadlights
i'm kind of torn on this, because there's a part of me that wants him to get caught in the deadlights. all that awful fear-based shit is sort of already a part of him, so it'd be interesting for him to come back from it traumatized by his own nature when up until this point he's sort of just accepted that he was born from literal hell.

To Dine
no real plans here, but i'm happy to fling him at anyone who needs a little magic. adam's powers are (technically) whatever he wants them to be, so he could probably mimic harry potter type spells without much difficulty if he has an example. and uhh keeping warps/etc in mind obvs.

Christmas
???? no ideas here, i'm assuming he'll be spending it with crowley and aziraphale.

Grady Hotel
i think he and ben are going together unless ben gets a better offer, at least in part because.. convenience. but also because ben seems nice, and that way adam doesn't have to go with his godfathers. uhhh more to follow on this.
he will absolutely be trying the peppermint, and as adam is already described in canon as a tiny apollo, he will be an alarmingly angelic, attractive-looking kid. watch out tweens.
he'll probably also get caught under the mistletoe at some point, so he's.. open for that. the things he'll talk about are probably all related to his fears/doubts regarding what he is and his hellish dad.

Titanic
i kind of want to randomize him, but then i also kind of want him to be a first class passenger for one reason: arrogant, charismatic son of the morning star, prince adam of hell tbh. or at least some version of him. HMM...

wynonna earp, dana polk & bo peep

Desired CR: All types! Friends, found family, kids for her to secretly mom, drinking buddies, diner buddies, people for her to wait on at the (Fake) Hair of the Dog (her current place of employment), folks with supernatural/demon-type experience. (I feel like this is the same every month but honestly, my desires are constant.)
Unwanted CR: Not super negative CR (unless there's an event-motivated reason behind it) but I'd be more than okay with her having a frenemy or someone she gently butts heads with on occasion. She's also happily spoken for in the romance department.

Event Ideas:

THIS EVENT AHHHH. Well, for starters, I want Wynonna to engage in a few frozen acts of love with preferably close CR — although the preference is that this happens in the sort of platonic/found family sense where she's acting selflessly in order to try and save someone she cares about. This could also go the other way around with her being thawed by someone else who cares about her too, but I definitely want her to have some meaningful moments with friends and people she thinks of as family this month as a way to strengthen those bonds. I'm also potentially interested in doing something with her and the dementors, in which she summons her dream guide to save someone else.

Other than that, my main wishes for her lie in party things! Let her eat way too many peppermint candies and start tripping out on sensation while her hair looks especially fabulous! Make her splurge a dark secret with you beneath the mistletoe (though she'll only be reserving mouth kisses for one person). Take her for a spin around the dance floor! Really, this is where I might be spending the rest of my energy for her this month so bring on the fun dance things before chaos happens. Her date for this will be Frank Castle, as if anyone was surprised at all.

Desired CR: All kinds! Friends, artists or artistically-inclined individuals (she's got a gig at Paintbrush Kingdom), fellow college students, fellow survivors of supernatural or spoopy events, fellow werewolves!
Unwanted CR: Not super negative CR (unless there's an event-motivated reason behind it) but I'm game for her to have the occasional conflict with someone or that person in her life that she just can't seem to say the right things around, especially if it keeps happening while she's under the influence of something that would make her more likely to speak her mind.

Event Ideas:

I've been giving Dana a lot of intense plot the last few months, so in the vein of being kinder to her I'm mostly going to stick to party threads (unless anyone has a suggestion for frozen acts of love or dementors, and I'm open to that too!). But really, she's just going to be showing up to the party in an attempt to close out the year in style, wearing a daringly low-cut green dress and probably showing off way more leg than she's used to. Mistletoe, dancing, Little Deerington, date connections, you name it — I want to do all of the things! She'll be attending the New Year's Eve party with Sam Winchester.

(For the January event, she'll be a First Class Passenger rooming with her current roomie in Deerington, Wanda Maximoff.)

Character Name: Bo Peep
Desired CR: Everyone! She's keeping her toy status kind of on the DL right now, so she'd be more inclined to openly befriend non-human CR at the start while staying relatively incognito the rest of the time. I would also love, love, love her to meet more kids who are open to playing with her, because she's a toy who secretly loves that even now.
Unwanted CR: Not super negative CR (unless there's an event-motivated reason behind it). She's also got her heart on lock for a certain gangly sheriff, so romance isn't in the cards either.

Event Ideas:

SO frozen acts of love are kinda exactly my jam for a character like Bo, someone who's been so independent for so long and also deliberately circling around her close CR out of a desire to stay incognito as a toy — but this event I really want to break her outside of her comfort zone and she's already gradually been outing herself to people when she notices them in significant moments of distress, so what better time to do that again than when someone's literally in danger of freezing to death? Even if it's someone she doesn't know all that well, she'd be inclined to show them compassion or try and help, so I wouldn't mind a few takers for this especially if you want an excuse for your character to meet Bo in person.

Aside from that, party things! She's just going to be having a good time dressed as a cute flapper for a change and hopefully on the way back to mending things with her gangly sheriff, though I'd love for her to get in some face time with her current CR circle before the craziness of the January event, so she'll more likely than not be using the fun evening to check in on people she already knows and maybe bump into a few she doesn't. I'm open to anything here, though!

⚔ DEADLIGHTS. anthy is going to be . . . deadlit? yeah that. this works well for her since she's used to being the target of humanity's hatred! thumbs up. i'm open to cocooning but i'd want to make specific plans for her to be gotten out first — touch or talking is best. she would actually be decently useful at getting people out of cocoons, since she believes in her own (very real) magic, although it'd probably have to be somebody she's met or at least spoken to in order for her to care enough to do something about their predicament. her personal ultimate lasting effect of the deadlights will be increased and more solid/real-seeming nightmares. if anyone wants to see anthy's fear, suffering, and despair . . . there's a lot of it (light gore/spoilers). but i'd love it!

Event Ideas: Give me random acts of true love. For Elena, these would be compassionate acts. Somebody save Elena from a dementor! Preferably new CR. I want her to build connections , and grow to get to know the people here in Deerington. The more she knows, the less it will feel like a bad dream.

Elena will also be going to the dance, date to be determined. But, she will definitely be partaking in the eggnog to curb any cravings she has which will make her casually indifferent, and nonhumanity-like temporarily, so this is where either negative, or surprisingly positive CR with someone heinous or hilarious or not her style would happen... Peppermint candies will round out her night - hell yes, she's doing some ecstasy. And she is in dire need of awkward mistletoe. It will be extremely awkward if Elena gets honest about how she feels about Damon to... everyone, including his closer CR.
