OOC Limits: Most things are quite honestly open to discussion; as long as we talk it out beforehand, chances are I’ll be fine with playing it out. The only thing I’m a hard no on is any sexual violence, but aside from that, as long as all players involved are on the same page and communicating in regards to darker plots I’m good with just about everything.

Employment in Deerington: Bartender at the fake Hair of the Dog, though she's definitely someone you can ask about how to get into the real one.
Residence in Deerington: 1433 Gatlin Drive, a farmhouse out in Clarke Acres, where she lives with Waverly, Frank, Cliff, Laura and Brianna, as well as a verifiable menagerie of animals.
Day to Day Activities: Wynonna, queen of non-routine and keeping things unexpected, definitely has something resembling regular habits here in Deerington (surprise, surprise) and has sort of acquired a few usual haunts. In the mornings (or early afternoons, depending how late she's been at the bar working the night before), she usually pops into Dearly Diner for breakfast (or coffee, at the very least) and some face time with the manager, or Jane Dough for coffee and a pastry of some kind, depending on her mood. In terms of work, she's on at the bar either in the late afternoon or the evening, and aside from that she tends to go to the movie theater to check out whatever's playing, the thrift shop to score some vintage duds, the pizza place for a good slice, or the supermarket for some questionable choices in grocery shopping. If you've seen her driving around town she's usually on her giant black motorcycle or in her blue-and-white Ford truck, though she's also made one or two appearances as a passenger in a certain GTO Pontiac.

About This Character: On the surface, Wynonna can come off as an easygoing personality laced with frequent amounts of toughness and snarking all wrapped up in fringed leather — and that's not entirely inaccurate. But the truth is that she's sort of damaged goods thanks to a super traumatic childhood that's given her a lifelong subscription of abandonment and trust issues, so the surface-level joking is basically just her way of keeping others at a distance.

She's made no secret of the fact that she's the great-great-granddaughter of Wyatt Earp (yes, that Wyatt Earp), or that she's technically the latest in a long line of Earp heirs responsible for ridding their home turf of all the resurrected outlaws Wyatt ever put a bullet in — yes, that means demons, with the magical gun that kills them to boot. So she's definitely got experience dealing with the freaky, and even if Deerington has some stuff the likes of which she's never seen, she's pretty capable of keeping her head on straight long enough to take on whatever this town throws her way.
Any Warnings: Her application sums up most of it in terms of general warnings from her canon, including violence/death, parental abuse, alcoholism, depression/mental health issues and more, but happy to avoid those subjects in any threads if needed.

Present Life: Wynonna's life has been refreshingly quiet after the last few months consisted of some personal and emotional upheaval for her in terms of deaths and near-death experiences for her loved ones. That's not to say that she hasn't had some rougher moments — dealing with the side effects of Waverly's attempts to give up pieces of herself in order to heal others was hard for her, and forced her to come to terms with feeling like she really needs to keep a better eye on looking after the people she cares about. She's no doubt closing ranks more protectively as a result, but this has also led to her being more open and available to show newbies the ropes, that sort of thing. (And, if you have a particularly keen set of observational skills, you might notice that she's taken to wearing a very understated ring on her left hand.)

Big Emotional Moments aside, she feels like she's mostly got a handle on what this place is like and what she's going to have to face, and she's more protective of her loved ones and close CR than ever because of her experience dealing with the supernatural on a regular basis back home. Slowly, she's opening up to more and more people, including the ones she lives with, and she's accepted the fact that, based on what has been revealed to them so far, she's needed here for something, even if she doesn't know what that something is yet — so she's willing to stick around and help this town with its problems before the time comes for her to go home.
Future Ideas: Moving forward, I'd really just like to focus on building and growing Wynonna's existing relationships, as well as continuing to introduce her to new people. She has a lot of great, dynamic CR that offers her lots of varying opportunities to interact with folks, from trying to mentor any kids that somehow think she's cool to hanging out with fellow hunters to having her world rocked a little by non-humans and Sleepers with powers and things of that nature. I don't have any Big Plans for her at the moment, but Wynonna will always and forever be available to help your character tackle any monster problems (mostly because I like writing fighty/action scenes for her, so any chance she has to kick ass is thoroughly welcomed). For the Titanic plot, she will be a second class passenger and will be suffering from amnesia for a while under the mistaken belief that she's a happy newlywed on her honeymoon, but seeing her younger roommates/found family is definitely going to help bring her memories back.

CR You Want: Friends, found family, kids for her to secretly mom as a Secret Mom, drinking buddies, diner buddies, people for her to serve drinks to, folks with supernatural/demon-type experience, honestly everyone and anyone because I want her to meet all the people.
CR You Don't Want: Ideally, not super negative CR (unless there's an event-motivated reason behind it) but I'd be OK with her having a frenemy or someone she gently butts heads or snarks with from time to time. No romantic CR because she's very happily spoken for.

Day to Day Activities: Usually Bill is going to school or hanging out with the Losers. He spends a lot of time at the movie theatre and the arcade and he really likes to go to the library. He's trying his best to catch up on modern culture because he feels hella behind everyone he's met here, but it's a big learning curve for a kid from the 50s. On the Titanic, he's going to be doing... not much different. Probably finding the Losers to see if they remember him and mostly just living his best life. Which isn't that hard because his life has mostly sucked.

About This Character: Bill's a GOOD BOY. He's got an extremely bad stutter that flares up most around adults or when he's nervous (good or bad). He was hit by a car as a kid and his parents like to blame his stutter on that, but it's mostly psychological. He has a good heart, he's a natural leader, and he wants to keep his friends safe. He is probably one of the more polite Losers, but he's still prone to swearing and making horrible jokes when he's comfortable with someone.
Any Warnings: Bill's biggest warning is that he deals with the loss of a young sibling to a very violent murder; he can also be unintentionally sexist, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc. because of 50s mentalities, but I try to keep it to a minimum the best I can, and he is VERY open to unlearning these things. He's not trying to hurt anyone, he just doesn't know any better. A full list of warnings from his canon can be found here as well as opt-out forms.

Present Life: Talk about any present major/important stuff going on in the character's life! Relationships, what they're trying to work on for themselves, maybe hero or villain shenanigans...
Future Ideas: I would love someone who can help him to actually come out of his shell about some of the bullshit with his parents. While he is going to confront some of his anger about it in the Great Sleep this month with Eddie, he's not going to know where to go with it or how to process the fact that he was so heavily neglected after the death of his brother.

CR You Want: HE NEEDS MORE FRIENDS. Also someone to help him with his stutter maybe? Please take care of him, he just acts like he's a grown up, he's not actually one.

Day to Day Activities: when he isn't getting drunk at work bartending or spending time with his friends, he likes to wander around town, chatting with strangers and poking his nose into other people's business. he's stupidly active, so he doesn't like to be idle. you can probably find him in any place with food too, like the grocery store or restaurants.

About This Character: well, he is a siphoner witch-vampire hybrid, which you can learn more about here. he is also a psychopath burdened with emotions, thanks to a merge with his younger brother. (it's complicated.) kai is very upbeat and outgoing. he talks a lot. very sarcastic, good-humored, fun-loving and energetic. loves to make friends, get into all sorts of trouble and find entertainment wherever he can. he is insanely perceptive and smart, manipulative and calculating. super talented at annoying people. morally dubious. oh, and most of his knowledge on pop culture ends around may 1994.
Any Warnings: he is a sociopath with history of childhood abuse, suicide, torture, mass murder, and violence who suffers from severe ptsd.

Present Life: currently, kai is publicly out as a witch. not a siphoning witch, but just another magic user who can do the witchy woo. wanda is the only one who knows he can siphon at the moment. addy and dana are the only ones in deerington who knows he is a witchpire. life is going pretty damn well for him right now. he would like to keep it this way. for one, he will be officially entering his first romantic relationship soon; for another, he is surrounded by some genuinely awesome and good people. he is hitting a mild bump in the road with some folks popping up from his past, but he probably has a handle on it. he also suspects that he might have a leak in his emote vault and he hasn't figured out how to deal with that yet. i mean, what does a guy do when he's suddenly feeling gross emotional things like anxiety and concern for other people? is there a plumber he can call for that?
Future Ideas: i would love to focus on strengthening his established cr as well as building new ones for him (because he can never have too many "friends"). i'm also interested in continuing his growth and development as a character, especially now that he is faced with an "emotional" crisis. but i would love to see more of him being his typical morally questionable self, too, because at the end of the day, he has no intention of changing.

Character Name: Fern
Age: 16
Employment in Deerington: Weapons and combat specialist at F.E.A.R, which I think mostly translates to him loitering around the building when he's bored or needs some indoor training space. No other job and no school, that's for nerds.
Residence in Deerington: A greenhouse-treehouse near Lake Tomie.
Day to Day Activities: Thanks to the onset of winter Fern has been spending a lot more time holed up in his treehouse sleeping. He can be found around it/Lake Tomie, at F.E.A.R. practicing with his swords, and occasionally over at Will Graham's house.

About This Character: Fern is the result of Adventure Time's main character, Finn, getting turned into a sentient sword and then merging with another sentient cursed sword, the Grass Sword. Physically that means he's now made out of grass and has various plant powers. Mentally that means he has two separate minds making up his Fern self: that of a human teenager who grew up in a post-apocalyptic Earth and is also a knight, and an eldritch horror octopus-spider who likes said human teenager but influences his darker thoughts and feelings. Fern's self esteem is essentially non-existent so he's often extremely self-loathing, and he generally thinks violence solves everything. On top of all that he has severe problems with his identity, having lost his previous one as Finn, and frequently questions his personhood. He has a lot of pent-up frustration and emotional instability, and on really bad days this can cause him to have destructive melt downs.
Any Warnings: Being made out of grass Fern comes with buckets of body horror! On top of that his self esteem is in shambles, he hates himself, and has a lot of issues with his identity. He also has very violent tendencies. Grass Demon comes with cephalopod and spider imagery.

Present Life: Recently he's been adjusting to the shift from October's setting to winter (being a plant sucks you guys) and learning about human holidays, which are fascinating to him. Some of his adult cr has been getting some good indicators of Fern's seriously poor mental health and have begun trying to help him in different ways, which has been loads of fun. He also has a magpie that's been hanging around him since he feeds her regularly.
Future Ideas: He'll be in third class for January's event! Being on a ship and having this much exposure to the ocean is new to him, so on the one hand he'll be fascinated by all that. On the other, he's going to be experiencing some extreme prejudice due to his visible inhumanness and low class. I'm hoping to play around with that, as well as him attempting to isolate himself at night since he has a tendency to sleepwalk and sleepstab. The Finn part of his mind will be feeling an amnesiac pull while Grass Demon won't, so he's going to spend the month mentally very divided and confused. Grass Demon will also still be available in the Great Sleep.

CR You Want:
-Royalty, as he takes his knighthood very seriously.
-He does very well with morally grey cr, since he consciously compartmentalizes the bad sides of people he likes.
-Alternately, people who might clash with his emotional volatility and violence-is-always-the-solution way of thinking.
-Gardeners/plant enthusiasts, or people who would think his grass thing is creepy/weird/interesting.
-Nonhumans in general, since humanity/a lack of it and being an object are big parts of his character. This includes anyone who might be interested in the Grass Demon!
-For January, I'd love to throw him at amnesiac characters and play around with class differences in whatever form that may take! Pls catch him sneaking into first class, hassle him about not being human, or explore the ship with him!

Day to Day Activities: He spends a lot of time at the library and the bakery, and the candy aisle of the Hart Mart. Dumbledore also spends a lot of time at home working on his magic and trying to destroy a certain vial and visiting friends/attending every social event.

About This Character: Dumbledore is, generally, a very amiable, approachable person. He is almost always calm and collected, and will be easygoing and nonjudgmental towards any new people he meets, unless they are planning harm to someone else. That said, he can be very secretive and play his cards close to the chest, and will lie like a rug without remorse.
Any Warnings: Dumbledore's past can touch on some heavy subjects, including: harm to children (and a possible implied sexual assault), violent death of a child, internalized homophobia, and Nazi-like imagery/motifs.

Present Life: (SPOILERS)Currently, he's adjusting to the town and all that normal stuff. On the side, though, he has some concerns about a war that's been brewing back at home that's being led by Grindelwald. Who may or may not be his ex-boyfriend. And who he may or may not have made a pact with that presents them from fighting. All while Grindelwald is using his maybe-brother as a weapon to try to kill him.
Future Ideas: I'd love to get Dumbledore more involved in sniffing out the town's mysteries/lore, as well as learning more magic from the other magically-inclined members of the town.

CR You Want: Dumbledore's only been here a month or so, so I'm up for nearly anything!
CR You Don't Want: Dumbledore is sadly and hopelessly stuck on one Dark Wizard in terms of romance, so don't expect any serious romantic CR with him, though if you want to fluster him, flirt all you want.

About This Character: NORMALLY she's bubbly and happy and enthusiastic and so, so determined to Do The Right Thing but right now she's just a mess... so here's a cute video

Any Warnings: caroline's meta will occasionally (though not always) reference violence, blood (that one's often), murder, death — the general vampire canon stuff. her backstory does have sexual assault / manipulation as well, but i really try not to bring that up unless i know the other player and it's actually relevant to the scene. please let me know if you want any of this avoided.

Present Life: HER MOM DIED, IT WAS REAL TRAUMATIC. she went on a no humanity bender, killed literally who knows how many people, hooked up with her best friend's ex-boyfriend that she probably maybe has feelings for, he brought her humanity back, then he rejected her, then he kind of??? didn't reject her but she rejected him??? and now she's here. cool. COOL. she's havin' a SWELL TIME.
Future Ideas: caroline's going to realize just how far she can push her humanity before she breaks. she's going to have a bad time. she's also going to fix up her big house, possibly move some people in, throw a dinner party with her ghost friends, who knows. i am open to possibilities. probably murder some townies.

Day to Day Activities: He's still new and it's cold outside, so he hasn't gone out a lot yet, but he does explore a bit on good days. Leaving this open for now.

About This Character: Ben is a round pudgy boy who's a bit insecure about that but he's a kind and friendly kid. He's willing to believe in almost anything though his trusts aren't always easy to get. He's leery of Adults but not as much as some of the other It kids. He's much more at home with kids, but sometimes craves adult attention. He's generally a shy boy but not too shy that he wont talk. Just depends on your demeanor.
Any Warnings: Derry is ripe with violence, child violence, inappropriate conduct, and for Ben especially, Bullying. Lots of bullying.

Present Life: Ben is new here and doesn't know a lot of people. At present he's living with his friends, going to school after the winter break, and wandering around town to figure it out a bit. Also he wants to build a fort. He is currently missing two fingers on his left hand from being Frozen and broken. Eddie tried his best but it was too late.
Future Ideas: I'm here to traumatize the boy more. Anything like that would be great. Right now, future plans involve the Titanic. On the Titanic Bill will have his birthday. If Bill mentions it that is, I want Ben and some others to sneak a cake from First Class, like the urchins they will be, back to Bill for his birthday. Other ideas are open right now.

CR You Want: Mentors or parental figures would be nice. These kids are wild after all. More friends is always good. Someone to bully him wouldn't go amiss, but I doubt there is a lot out there for that.

Day to Day Activities: mostly, just getting him settled into things. he goes to work, goes home, goes out for a drink every once in awhile. he's not a hugely outgoing person but he's also not an introvert either. he just speaks when he needs to say something. he loves weapons so you might see him out messing around with the weapons he took from the weapons buffet awhile back. he's used to space so being on land is a bit of a change for him. probably's visited a tattoo place a time or two but hasn't gotten one yet. and if he hasn't gotten into at least one fight, i'm doing something wrong.

About This Character: amos is the mechanic for the rocinante, a ship that's gotten embroiled into a lot of political conflicts because of its 'save everyone' captain, james holden. amos doesn't really take a side except his crew's and he'll defend them to his dying breath. he's very shoot first, ask questions never, and he defaults to violence to solve problems. his reactions can sometimes seem flat or without affect because it takes a lot for him to care.
Any Warnings: amos' past is rife with disturbing content including prostitution, child prostitution, child abuse, extreme violence and murder. but, he doesn't talk about these things at all so the chances of it coming up are very small.

Present Life: things are pretty quiet for amos since he's new. he's met a few people here and there that he doesn't mind and he likes having a job that let's him work with his hands. he's growing out his beard (heck yeah) and he's trying to lose some of his paranoia about this place. he's quiet but he's very quick to anger so be careful if you poke him.

Character Name: Wrench. A few people have started calling him Wes and he's growing increasingly comfortable with the idea of it if only because it's not as though people use his name to him all that often.

Employment in Deerington: He is the American Sign Language professor at Deerington Community College, and also offers private tutoring. Wrench has also recently opened the Manes on Main barbershop (which I now really regret not naming "Manes on Main in Maine," but here we are). It's your standard barbershop with straight razor shaves, but he's also developing a line of products and treatments for Sleepers with unique needs and physical characteristics.
Residence in Deerington: 90% at the cabin by Lake Tomie with suchmiracles, howlett, and recently speed_of_snark. 10% on the seventh floor of David Cliff Apartments.
Day to Day Activities: You're more than welcome to assume that you can run into Wrench at Deerington Community College or at his barbershop on East Main Street any hour of any day, or wandering around town as he offers private tutoring in various locations. He also spends a good amount of time hunting, fishing, trapping, and foraging around the cabin, each with varying levels of success. He is a (hopeful) regular at B&B's Restaurant just before they open for morning service. But don't worry; he's not good enough to be cooking your eggs just yet. He also hangs out plenty at Pixie's, especially when Kurt is working the bar or just after his shift, when they can practice their dance moves.

About This Character: Wrench is a former hitman who worked for -- and was largely raised up within -- the Fargo crime syndicate. Because of that both his canon and his personal history are heavy on gun violence, general violence, murder, and kidnapping. I assume based on canon clues he was also kidnapped as a child and groomed to become a hitman, so there's that. SPOILERS: He's taken from a canon point where he's five years out from the incident that killed his former partner and completely obliterated the Fargo syndicate. The five years prior were largely spent with him on the run. Just before his introduction to Deerington, he was captured and on his way to federal prison.

Any Warnings: Gun violence, general violence, murder, kidnapping, death of a partner, grooming children to commit violence.

Present Life: Wrench views Deerington as the best place he could possibly be right now, and is generally trying to adjust to the most "normal" life he's ever lived, in between bouts of torture and strange incidents with monsters. Still, he'd take this place over where he comes from any day of the week. (A point that I'd like to create some eventual friction for him with.) He's enjoying the company of the men in the cabin and developing some really, really strong connections (as is his canon tendency).

Right now, Wrench is in the process of figuring out for himself who he is, apart from the tool that he's been used as for most of his life. What can and what would he do if left entirely to his own devices? He's basically accepted Deerington at this point and has moved from questioning how he got here to using this place as an opportunity to try everything life has denied him.

Future Ideas:
→ If there are characters actively working to find a way out of Deerington or dismantle the entire "system," I'd love to create some eventual friction between them and Wrench, as he does not want to have to go home.
→ Despite the fact that things are relatively comfortable for him right now, Wrench is a guy who suffered a lot of manipulation and grooming to make him into a person who killed on command. I'd love to find some folks who might convince him to use those violent talents for nefarious purposes.
→ Manes on Main needs Sleepers with unique physical characteristics to continue to develop these products and treatments Wrench wants to sell. Feathers, fur, scales, shells, tails, whatever! Also people whose talents might mean they need to take extra care, like speedsters with road rash on their feet or magic users whose magic can cause repeated physical injury. Whatever. Bring him customers.
→ American Sign Language students are always welcome.
→ I'd like to develop some CR in the direction of Wrench becoming fiercely (and possibly violently) protective of some folks. He's basically his canon's avenging angel, and I want to see that side of him develop into a space where he might get up to some of his old tricks if the people he cares about are threatened.

Day to Day Activities: Though Jessie's not completely outed herself as a toy, you can still catch her round and about in Deerington. She likes to go to the diner when Will is working to keep an eye on him- so feel free to notice the weird cowgirl coll propped up on a table. She loves critters, and can often be found wherever the animals are about- often dragging Bullseye around with her. Cowgirl's gotta ride a horse, it's just how it goes.

About This Character: Jessie's a rough and tumble cowgirl with a heart of mostly gold. Her emotions are always very much on the surface and she often lacks middle gears when she swings between her moods- so you pretty much get whatever she's feeling at the time with both barrels. She has one hell of a temper on her when she's riled up enough, but is generally very friendly and a bundle of happy energy. UNFORTUNATELY, thanks to her first owner abandoning her at the side of the road and then being kept in storage by a toy collector for years, she's left with some pretty strong emotional scars from the whole experience. She doesn't trust people easily at all. Friendly as she is, earning her trust takes time and effort.
Any Warnings: Hoo boy. Jessie has PTSD from the whole being abandoned and then being trapped in a cardboard box for literal decades thing. She tends to spiral into panic attacks if she thinks she's being abandoned- and has a tendency to lash out in an attempt to protect herself. She very much freaks out in small spaces or the dark; her claustrophobia is pretty intense. She's learned some grounding methods over the years, but she still doesn't handle it well if her triggers are set off. Tiny toy has large traumas.

Present Life: She's made herself known to a few people now, and she'll happily talk to just about anyone on the fluid- though she usually sticks to her voice while doing so. She talked with Woody about the whole diverging canon points thing and got her dream guide when she and Ashe were dealing with dementors. It's an Eagle. She's gonna call him Edgar. She's also learning herself some magic with Taako- so if anyone goes to magic school, they will for sure catch her there.
Future Ideas: From just before New Years, she'll start wearing the Sheriff badge Woody gave her. She won't really draw attention to it because she still feels weird about it, but if any of her CR are particularly perceptive, they might notice. She'll be 2nd class on Titanic and keeping her memories- she's gonna freak out A LOT about the CR she has who have been AUed- because that will for sure trigger her abandonment anxieties. About This Character: Claire is the daughter of Castiel's vessel (aka the man he's wearing to walk among us haha) and as such has been through hell. Her father's disappearance resulted in her family being attacked by demons and as a result, Castiel had to occupy her body to save her dad. Following this, her mother took off and left her with her grandmother who passed. Claire had been in out of the system and up until Castiel involved himself again was headed into a life of crime. The Winchesters and Castiel's influence have made a hunter out of Claire and she's seen the good, bad, and ugly of the job. So, in a few words - tiny blonde badass.

Present Life: She legit just died during the party thanks to the deadlights. Up until then, she's been focused on getting a base of operations for her little study club/training facility and spending all her free time making sure her boys at home aren't being total dipshits. He needs projects, as in people to adopt and take care of and makeover.

About This Character: He's the Highwarlock of Brooklyn and he's been alive since the 1800s. Bisexual as in bye don't touch me, with a deep pining for someone at home that he's convinced he'll never ever ever have. He's got magical powers, and he's really fucking talented holmes. Now that she's technically not queen (not while she's here at least), she's trying to indulge in her longing for the lost childhood she never had, as well as learning how to train her dragons and ready them for when they return. About This Character: wanda deals with a fair amount of mental instablity due to how she's been treated in canon regarding her powers (for more information on her abilities). she was recently captured and arrested by her own teammates before being taken to the "raft", an enhanced imprisonment facility in the middle of the ocean, where she was put in a strait jacket and a power-neutralizing collar. because of this, she most often keeps to herself and remains secretive about her powers, but she tends to be more open and relaxed around those with special abilities of their own. it takes a lot to gain her trust but she can still be kind and understanding, as long as she doesn't feel threatened under the circumstances.
Any Warnings: psychological trauma, lab experimentation, family loss, accidental deaths, mind control.

Present Life: wanda's mentally in the best place she's been in a while. despite the constant hell that's thrown around in town, she's found a way to be much more confident in herself and deciding to fight back against being brought down again, physically or emotionally. she's been looking to be more engaging, to approach others and present more of a support for her friends rather than always being the one in need, and now that she has a stabilizing gem, she's working to get better control of her magic so she can be a more effective and helpful fighter. she's also entering into a romantic relationship soon, which is a good boost for that self confidence and much needed support system.

Future Ideas: now that she has her stabilizing gem, i'm looking for wanda to do more magical training, specifically with other sleepers that have some sort of magic-related powers, for both emotional support group and research purposes. she knows a lot of people struggle with having control of their powers here, having struggled with it for months and having endangered others on account of it, so she wants to make sure that no one else has to face the difficulties of it like she has. for the titanic plot, she'll be a first class passenger with most of her memories in tact, though sometimes she may have lapses when interacting with those more fully au'd. she might sometimes think she's a witch trying to keep her powers hidden on the fear of being hanged or burned, but mostly she'll be looking to protect those with magical abilities or other supernatural characteristics that put them in danger.

About This Character: Kurt is unexpected in a whole heap of ways. He looks like a spooky demon but he's really just a charming cuddly goofball who loves to make jokes and have fun. For a while he was studying to become a priest, though that may or may not have been an illusion implanted in his mind (rule #1 of dealing with a Marvel comics character: just.. try not to think about it too hard). He's still holding on to his Catholic faith, but these days it's more defined by an ongoing belief in larger forces than being too tied to doctrine. Good Catholic boys don't tend to fall in love with murderers, after all.

These days his antics are a little more toned down, but he's still a charmer. He's also dealing with having fairly recently come back from the dead in canon (long story short: he was killed in battle and went to Heaven, but was kind of miserable there without his friends, then there was a fight with his demon father on a flying ship, blah blah, he was resurrected but may not have a soul now), but it's cool. Ish. Mostly.

He's also got the added Deerington exclusive trauma of not being able to teleport (his main mutant ability) without it literally tearing his fuzzy little body to pieces. Since November this means he's wearing an inhibitor collar (cw: blood) full time, to prevent himself from 'porting even when he's possessed/out of his mind for whatever reason.

Any Warnings: Kurt's past includes a bunch of violence and a decent amount of abuse, though I will try as much as I can to warn for these things. He has had a fairly happy life in canon but it hasn't been easy (thanks, superhero comics!), so he might dwell on his own or other deaths, injuries, possessions by weird ghouls and aliens, etc. He's also an adult in a new relationship, so some threads may drift into sexual/nsfw territory, but again any content of this kind will carry warnings.

He's a (semi) practising Catholic so scenes with him may also include references to that religion/religious themes in general. Please let me know if you would rather I avoid any of this!

Present Life: As time goes on, Kurt's becoming more settled and (knock on wood) happy in Deerington, though not without a few bumps in the road. He experienced his first death at the end of October and that was gnarly enough to not bear repeating, so he's definitely becoming more aware of the potential cost of remaining in the dream as well as the good things it has brought and continues to bring into his life. Coming to terms with the fact that he might not actually want to wake up (and that they might not have a choice in the matter) is an ongoing thread running through a lot of his time at the moment.

Future Ideas: Helping Out The Community achievement unlocked since the last meme! Everything is starting to feel a little settled for Kurt, despite Deerington's best efforts, so naturally I'm interested in ways to rock the boat a little (ha). This might come in January/February in the form of some news about his world back home from an unexpected source, so he may end up a little shaken by that as well as whatever the setting changes bring.

Generally: Friendsss! Kurt is a people person, please give him more people. Especially friends around his own age to hang out with, kids he can mentor, non-humans he can have solidarity with, etc.

Since he's working at Pixie's, I'd also love to explore who he might be meeting there, or just seeing on the regular -- who is coming to open mic night? I'm canon blind to Superior Kurt (aka Comics Kurt) but I found him super interesting during his stint in the Hugh Jackman X-Men franchise and can offer you a 539yo vampire/doppelgänger! tl;dr for Katherine is that she ran for over 500 years from one of the show's bad guys and has never been able to fully integrate into life because of it. I think Kurt holding onto his faith and seeing it as something worth believing in would be an interesting challenge for her, since she only kind of believes in herself (barely sometimes!). He's a sweet kid with a lot of capacity for empathy so he'll probably be nice to most people. But he also has zero ability to read social cues and emotional repression issues tied to trauma and anxiety over losing control of his powers.
Any Warnings:He comes from an optimistic canon but there's still the chance of content warnings for: mental torture, death as a casual theme, fictional terrorism, vehicular assault, depression and dissociation.

She likes to go to the park to look for bugs as well, and she has a little notebook that she's beginning to fill up with stories, poems, and all those modern words that she's been hearing and learning about. Also, piano. She's definitely playing music whenever she gets the chance.

About This Character: Lucille is an extremely messed-up lady. She's very serious and severe-looking; she finds it difficult to smile, and rarely shows anything resembling good humour. She came from a family that lacked any warmth or love, and she was forbidden from having friends when she was young. And so, as an adult, she struggles with social situations and can come across as being cold and aloof. Lucille can come across as being a little 'strange', but she tries hard to blend in. She tries to imitate the actions of 'normal' people, but it can appear a bit mechanical at times.

She loves music and literature. She's highly observant and intelligent. She's traumatized, thanks to the abuse she has received over the years, and she has a tendency to disappear into her thoughts when situations remind her of her past. She can get so caught up in her thoughts and fears that she will hide away, dwell, and ultimately neglect herself (which is why she keeps her mind busy with the library job). She keeps her secrets close, and is capable of murder without any sign of remorse - but only if she feels threatened.

Present Life: Lucille is currently trying to 'blend in' with the good people of Deerington. She's trying to be polite and courteous towards people because that is what she believes is expected of her. She finds it exhausting. BUT she is keeping her secrets very close to her chest. She's killed people, and she will do everything in her power to ensure that no one finds out about that. She has a roof over her head, and she has a steady income now, so that's a thing she no longer needs to worry about. She needs to renovate her shitty house, though, and she wants to learn how to use a weapon more effectively.

Future Ideas: I'm open to people learning her secrets over time, but I want to plot/discuss that stuff first. Lucille is the kind of person who will attempt to threaten and/or kill people over her secrets, especially if she thinks they're going to use those secrets against her. She's all about self-preservation, and she can get pretty paranoid. She may stalk the person too. If your character is someone who would handle her secrets delicately, then she will probably be a little less 'murdery'. Still paranoid, though.

She's really protective if she actually admires/likes you, so I'd love to play out a scenario where she has to protect someone/goes full murder queen on someone or something that's attempting to hurt her friend idk. I want her to get more involved with music in Deerington, since music is her life. She HATES anything that isn't classical though. Good luck trying to get her into anything else. She's also probably going to go butterfly/moth collecting.

When he's not working his jobs, he's probably walking with the dire wolf he and Allura adopted out in the wilderness, or finding somewhere to abuse illicit substances in peace... like the Junkyard, you know, running from them demons. But on a good day he'll play video games in the Arcade in his time off from his job there, play guitar in the park or anywhere else that's nice to hang around and play some music in, and he'll visit the comic book shop and the club scene quite a bit.

About This Character: Lance is a teenage fighter pilot tossed into an intergalactic space war against an evil empire of purple space furries. He started out as the archetypal cocky, moronic flirt of the team and over time we've gotten to see that he's rather intelligent both mentally and emotionally, struggles with self worth and truly opening up to people. He comes from a large Cuban family whom he loves very much, and he's often homesick though he keeps that close to the chest and hides it under bravado and humor. In Deerington, he's been through a lot, after a whole year in game now, he's accumulated his fair share of trauma that he continues to try and cope with under bravado and humor, but it's often not enough.
Any Warnings: Though he doesn't have a particularly rough past in canon, Lance is technically a teenage war veteran. Though it's not something the show talks about, perhaps because the creators thought the realities of war are a bit heavy for a Y7 show, I do explore the psychological consequences of being on the frontlines of a war out in space sometimes. And his experiences in Deerington have piled on even more PTSD, so he now also comes with a warning for substance abuse/addiction, slight psychosis from a monster taking a chunk of his sanity some time ago, depression and suicidal ideation.

Present Life: Back in October, Lance came back to life after being dead for a whole month. Because returning is a choice and Lance went through a lot of heavy stuff, he wasn't sure he wanted to come back for a while. He is still dealing with every terrible thing he did leading up to his painful murder at Reaper's hands, and decided to get proactive in the only desperate way a damaged teenager knows how: recklessly. He went to Moira to ask for her help fixing his mental issues. Skip forward to December and he's gotten the injection to genetically help the damage done to his mind, and while it was successful in making the problem easier to deal with, it also gave him some dangerous powers. Aaand because of said powers, he's been living in a van down by the river while he figures out how dangerous he is.
Future Ideas: I'm sure it goes without saying that I'd like to explore Lance's new abilities for an extended period of time and how it can be used to help him face his many lingering problems and also create new challenges. That injection helped the intensity of his broken brain, but he still has a lot of trauma and cracks of missing chunks of sanity. For a long time I've been playing with his lack of belief in himself and exploring how his perceptions of who he is tie into that and unwanted powers will play an interesting part in his identity struggle, especially since he'll eventually discover that he's even more of a walking health risk to people he cares about than he thought. At some point I plan on removing the rogue touch aspect of the powers, which will have its own set of consequences, and I'd also like to turn him into a ghost when he revives after his next death!

CR You Want: Friends, enemies, frenemies, mentors, strange and hard to define CR... I used to have casual intimate partners on this list, but with his ability that's got a major warning: he is technically still capable of being intimate, but not for that long before the energy drain sucks the fun out of it, and his partner will definitely get cancer. Sooo, kind of hard to make that happen but anything is possible?
CR You Don't Want: I'm not exactly opposed to romance, but he comes with a lot of complicated baggage and he has intense feelings for like 3 people already, so it's just complicated.

Day to Day Activities: Sam's schedule is either pretty regular, splitting his time between his job in the morning, school in the afternoons, and trying to keep the chaos and destruction down to a dull roar back at Casa Winchester with regular stops at the town library, the local coffee shop, and various friends' houses. There are also days when he's in full hunter mode, tracking down active threats in town and taking them out whenever possible, while doing his best to keep particularly close tabs on friends and family despite the fact that they're all complete disasters in their own particular ways. He's the kind of guy to help first and ask questions later.

About This Character: Sam is generally very easy to get along with, he's a little reserved but friendly, very good at lending a sympathetic ear when it's needed, and quick to lend a helping hand whether that's with a serious threat or with any mundane task, if he sees someone who needs help he'll absolutely volunteer. He is still a hunter, trained since childhood to track and kill basically anything that isn't human, but he personally believes very strongly in the fact that no one, human or otherwise, is born good or evil, and they can choose who they want to be. That said, he'll do what he has to in order to protect innocent people, and he can get downright ruthless when protecting the people he cares about.
Any Warnings: Violence and death are big ones for Sam, he's lost a lot of family and friends over the years, sometimes in some fairly horrific ways, also he's recently gone through a bout of addiction to demon blood, but these issues are fairly unlikely to come up unless that's something being actively explored in a thread.

Present Life: Sam's been slowly but steadily getting used to the idea of actually having a small town kind of life, at least when it's not being turned completely upside down by the 'excitement' that Deerington has to offer. For him it's a strange combination of the normal life he wanted for a long time and the hunting life that he's always been dragged back to, and he wouldn't have expected it to work at all but somehow he's learning how to manage it all. He's got friends and family to help keep him from doing anything too reckless, for the most part, or backsliding into bad habits, and a large part of why he doesn't get into more trouble than he does is because he's determined not to let them down. He's also been developing some serious feelings about a certain cute redhead over the past few months and getting progressively worse at hiding them, which is probably going to lead to some confessions as the end of the month approaches.

He's had a pretty serious shake up in early December thanks to a canon update which got him up through the wind up to the Apocalypse and the confrontation that ended it, which involved giving himself up as Lucifer's true vessel and literally throwing himself into Hell, which is A Lot to take in, even with future family around to assure him that he's going to make it out. There's also the fact that he's just met up with his brother for the third time, which he's grateful for but also has complicated feelings about, as well as his ex-not-ex-sort of Ruby who he has even more complicated feelings about, but he's been trying really hard to completely avoid the heck out of those whole issue.

Future Ideas: In the immediate future Sam's going to be having a good time on the Titanic in his early 1900s AU version of a Man of Letters who's moonlighting as a hunter, and basically nosing into everything he can get to on the ship, however much infiltration he has to pull off to do it, and once he's shaken out of his amnesia he'll be trying to do the same for others. At some point in the near-ish future I really want to play around with a canon update where he'll get to run around soulless for a while, but that's still kind of in the nebulous stages.

People to team up with and fight things are also especially awesome, and Sam's always available for questions about supernatural stuff if anyone's curious, or to help out with any of those issues. Employment in Deerington: He teaches LGBTQ+ studies at the college in theory, but since the town is in a time warp he doesn't have a lot of actual students. Mostly he hangs out for an hour and feels annoyingly useless. He also teaches sex ed whenever the high school has health units.
Residence in Deerington: Unit 703 at the David Cliff apartments, although he recently moved into a cozy cabin with Kurt Wagner, Wrench, and Logan. Feel bad for them, it's only a matter of time before he redecorates.
Day to Day Activities: Jean-Paul is used to living a very fast paced and fancy lifestyle, so Deerington has basically restructured his entire life. Pretty much every day he'll be at the Rec Centre, working out. The second there's snow on the ground he'll be out doing every winter sport he can, even at the risk of things like freezing winds and dangerous lights.
He can also be found bothering John Blake and Bruce Banner at B&Bs, or eating at any establishment that serves food. He's frequently at the library, reading in a quiet corner.
About This Character: Jean-Paul is known for two things in the Marvel Universe: being the first openly gay superhero, and being a colossal asshole. He's a stubborn, snobby, impatient jock with a bad temper. He guards his heart carefully, having a boatload of abandonment issues, but if he does care about you he is violently protective.
Being a teacher, he does have a softer spot for kids than he likes to admit.
Any Warnings: JP is an orphan who grew up in foster care and homeless, so he has some unpleasant stories there. He has experienced his share of homophobia, and some loss due to the AIDS crisis. His twin sister back home is mentally ill, so that also comes up sometimes.

Present Life: Over the past year he's lost some pretty good friends and died once himself. November was especially rough on him, with Deerington finally pulling a trick that cut deep into his feelings of guilt regarding his sibling. But on the plus side, it meant his new partners actually convinced him to move in with them. (Allegedly temporarily. Suuure.) Being in a relationship at ALL is rare for him, so he's happy about that. Also secretly anxious, of course.

Future Ideas: I think the boy may need a different job. He's used to running a company and being all rich and famous - he's definitely at a bit of a loss with what to do with himself when he's not punching monsters here. He also plans to at least TRY attending a support group for Sleepers. Try.
He'll be insufferable on the Titanic because by god does he think he deserves First Class.

CR You Want: Friends are good! Younger people he tends to treat as students, which means he can be a little protective of them. People around his own age are what he'd love for friends, if only because they may understand his skin care routine.
