Personal Style: Sometimes I'm a fast tagger and sometimes I'm on the slower side, but either way, I'm always up for backtagging. As for prose vs. brackets, I usually default to brackets, but am equally down for either and if you switch styles on me I'm always down to go along with it.
OOC Limits: I don't really have any hard nos in terms of subjects/themes; for me, it's really more about how a thing is handled than anything else. If you want to introduce a heavy topic or a potentially squicky thing into a thread, I'll probably be down for it, but I'd prefer an OOC check-in if it's something that's going to come out of nowhere/not something that's been naturally lead up to in the thread. It makes me feel better if I'm confident that the person I'm playing off of recognizes that it's a serious topic that people might want to avoid or be warned about, even if I don't personally want to avoid it or need warnings for myself.

Mazikeen | Lucifer (TV)

Character Name: Mazikeen/Maze
Age: EXTREMELY OLD, as in older-than-the-Earth-itself old, though she's not very loud about that fact; she's not 100% trying to hide it the way she's trying to hide her demonness, but she's not shouting it from the rooftops either. She looks like she's maybe in her thirties, and is fine with people assuming that that's the case.
Employment in Deerington: F.E.A.R., where she's a combat specialist and an absolutely terrible ambassador. Her description of the organization has turned off at least one potential recruit. Oops???
Residence in Deerington: Prospero Townhouses
Day to Day Activities: She probably spends a decent-ish amount of time at Lucifer's bar, as well as patrolling the streets looking for things that need fighting. If you need an asshole rescuer, she is 100% your gal.

About This Character: Maze is a demon living undercover as a human (though in Deerington, where lots of different species and supernatural abilities are represented, she's okay with letting people assume she's a powered human). When the devil decided that ruling hell sucked, she hopped up to LA with him to act as his bodyguard. It took her a while to settle in, but she's pretty happy living among humanity by now, even though interacting with humans is weird and confusing and sometimes kind of sucky. She's also pretty solidly decided that she wants to get better at all the messy, vulnerable emotions that demons usually heavily suppress. She's not that great at it yet, but she's Doing Her Best.
Any Warnings: She tortured souls in hell for literal millennia, and she was very, very good at it. She's not going around doing it for fun anymore, but she's not that sorry about her past, either.

Present Life: She really misses her social circle back in LA, and is trying to create one for herself here, despite the fact that she's really not that good at making friends. The average Deerington resident is more forgiving of her being an awkward weirdo than the average LA resident is, though, so she has that going for her.
Future Ideas: I have no concrete plans for her atm, and I usually like playing things by ear!

CR You Want: Awkward friendships! Complicated frienemies! People for her to care about! People who fight, hate, and/or generally distrust demons getting close to her and then finding out about her true nature somehow, because even though she's currently about as Good Demon^TM as a demon can get she's still lying about it like an idiot! The last one in particular is 1000% my dream and I would love to play out some CR arcs like that.

Personal Style: I've got a strong preference for prose, but I will match style if you want something different. Mostly I tag in the evenings after my regular 8 - 5, but once in a while I'll throw in some tags while I'm at work. If I'm tagging around in between other obligations I'll grab my fast tags first and might boomerang if things are really speedy, but otherwise it's a steady chipping away with the occasional fits and starts.

OOC Limits: My only hardcore OOC trigger is violence centered around the throat or wrists. Somehow I didn't expect this to come up as often as it has, which is meā culpā. It's a horror game, after all. Anyhow, I'd rather not subject Wrench to injury through those means, or use them to injure anyone else. Most other things are open for discussion, though.

Age: 39. Poor guy had his birthday aboard the Titanic back in January, which was a huge bummer. He was in the midst of recovering from amnesia and had basically isolated himself from everyone, so yeah. 39 has been awesome for him so far.

Residence in Deerington: 90% at the cabin by Lake Tomie with howlett, suchmiracles, speed_of_snark, and dividingline. 10% on the seventh floor of David Cliff Apartments.
Day to Day Activities: : You're more than welcome to assume that you can run into Wrench at Deerington Community College or at his barbershop on East Main Street any hour of any day, or wandering around town as he offers private tutoring in various locations. He also spends a good amount of time hunting, fishing, trapping, and foraging around the cabin, each with varying levels of success. He is a (hopeful) regular at B&B's Restaurant just before they open for morning service. But don't worry; he's not good enough to be cooking your eggs just yet. He also hangs out plenty at Pixie's Booze and Moves, especially when Kurt is working the bar or just after his shift, when they can practice their dance moves.

About This Character: Wrench is a former hitman who worked for -- and was largely raised up within -- the Fargo crime syndicate. Because of that, both his canon and his personal history are heavy on gun violence, general violence, murder, and kidnapping. I assume based on canon clues he was also coercively kidnapped as a child and groomed to become a hitman, so be aware. SPOILERS: He's taken from a canon point where he's five years out from the incident that killed his former partner (hey dividingline, welcome back) and completely obliterated the Fargo syndicate. The five years prior were largely spent with him on the run. Just before his introduction to Deerington, he was captured and on his way to federal prison.

Present Life: Wrench views Deerington as the best place he could possibly be right now, and is generally trying to adjust to the most "normal" life he's ever lived, in between bouts of torture and strange incidents with monsters. Still, he'd take this place over where he comes from any day of the week. (A point that I'd like to create some eventual friction for him with.) He's enjoying the company of the men in the cabin and developing some really, really strong connections (as is his canon tendency).

Right now, Wrench is in the process of figuring out for himself who he is, apart from the tool that he's been used as for most of his life. What can and what would he do if left entirely to his own devices? He's basically accepted Deerington at this point and has moved from questioning how he got here to using this place as an opportunity to try everything life has denied him.

Obviously one of the most recent major occurrences is that his former partner, Grady (Numbers) is in Deerington, and not particularly delighted to find Wrench seemingly moved on and shacked up. While Wrench has had five years to adjust to being without his partner, Grady's entry into Deerington is from a much more immediate canon point. Therefore, it's quite different for him to see Wrench acting without him. Grady's mentality is also pulling Wrench back towards some fragments of his own life that he mistakenly thought he'd overcome.

Future Ideas:
→ If there are characters actively working to find a way out of Deerington or dismantle the entire "system," I'd love to create some eventual friction between them and Wrench, as he does not want to have to go home.
→ Despite the fact that things are relatively comfortable for him right now, Wrench is a guy who suffered a lot of manipulation and grooming to make him into a person who once killed on command. I'd love to find some folks who might convince him to use those violent talents for nefarious purposes.
→ Manes on Main needs Sleepers with unique physical characteristics to continue to develop these products and treatments Wrench wants to sell. Feathers, fur, scales, shells, tails, whatever! Also people whose talents might mean they need to take extra care, like speedsters with road rash on their feet or magic users whose magic can cause repeated physical injury. Whatever. Bring him customers.
→ American Sign Language students are always welcome, either via Deerington Community College or private instruction. Wrench would love to trade knowledge and talent, so if your character has a cool skill to share and would like to learn ASL in exchange, please hit him up.
→ Wrench has become absolutely fascinated by magic, and I would love the opportunity to explore this further with other magic-users. If your character thinks they can teach Wrench how to wield magic, that would be a fun thing to explore. Even if they can't, though, he'd love to try to learn from them.
→ I'd like to develop some CR in the direction of Wrench becoming fiercely (and possibly violently) protective of some folks. He's basically his canon's avenging angel, and I want to see that side of him develop into a space where he might get up to some of his old tricks if the people he cares about are threatened.
→ I've been playing with the sin of envy over the past couple of months, and really using this to jumpstart some latent feelings that Wrench has for being one of the least powerful people in Deerington (to his mind) right now. As a perfectly average man living in a house with a bunch of mutants and surrounded by people with incredible powers from mind-bending places, he feels pretty blah about that. I'd like to explore this either as a point of friction, or as an opportunity for Wrench to work himself mad trying to compensate for it.

CR You Want: Taking all comers, honestly. Wrench has reached a point of utter fascination over the fact that there are so many people here to talk to, and so many who are willing to take the time to talk to him. He's been living in his mind for the last half-decade, and the fact that everyone here is from a different place with different experiences is overwhelming in the best way for him. Come tell him about yourself.

Day to Day Activities: Brianna is a superhero and patrols the town regularly. She can be found hanging out around the farmhouse, playing in the arcade or at the rollerblading rink, and just generally loitering around being a teenager.

About This Character: Brianna is a spitfire, full of energy, totally confident in herself to the point of obnoxiousness most of the time. She thinks of herself as a superhero and will introduce herself that way to other people. She has super speed and likes to show off. She usually carries weapons with her #yikes. She's recently come to terms with the fact that she might !!like girls!!, and also that she died in canon before arriving in Deerington.
Any Warnings: Brianna's canon deals heavily with violence against children, child death, and generally horrible things happening to children—including starvation, plagues, fires, brainwashing, torture, etc. It's A Lot, and I totally get not wanting to engage with that.

Present Life: Like I said above, Brianna has just started coming to terms with the fact that she likes girls romantically, and she's also just started processing the fact that she's dead in canon.
Future Ideas: More coming to terms with herself, maybe making future plans like going to school/getting a job.

Generally, he's building things for the toys, or taking care of all the human stuff that's needed in the house (bc he owes the toys enough already. dnw to make them run around for him!!) Nights are filled with webswinging. And there's the occasional trip to the movie theatre, or the university. Temporarily, he's also spending time in Tony's old place too.

About This Character: Kid. Spider. Superpowers. Dork. You all know the story by now, so let's leave it at that.
Any Warnings: He died during the Titanic plot, and had a friend kill his zombie aunt a few months before that. They're both still constantly on his mind, so may come up in meta text/tags.

Present Life: Right now, he's still dealing with his first death/having survivors guilt. He's also working through Tony leaving too, which is even more fun. Peter's currently living with the Toy Story crew, and they're...pretty much the only people around that he's happy to act like a kid with. So he's also focusing on doing everything he can to make life easier for the toys too. Which means a lot of designing and building equipment for them. Aaand apparently it now includes learning how to play D&D so he can set up a session for Buzz.

Future Ideas: I still want to get him to sign up for school and/or a job at the cinema. I'd also like to get him more heavily involved with the metaplot, because he still wants to find a way for everyone to get back home again. They shouldn't be stuck in Deerington gdi!!

CR You Want: Everything. But specifically, I would love to find him some more friends his age who will do dumb kid stuff with him. Or just people who'll generally help him to relax and stop worrying about things he really doesn't have any control over. Also pls give him more superheroes to idolise too. Character Name: Fern
Age: 16
Employment in Deerington: Weapons and combat specialist at F.E.A.R, which I think mostly translates to him loitering around the building when he's bored, needs some indoor training space, or wants to hang out with Varian while he's doing science-y things instead of actually doing work. No other job and no school, that's for nerds.
Residence in Deerington: A greenhouse-treehouse near Lake Tomie. 
Day to Day Activities: Fern can be found out in forested areas, particularly around Lake Tomie, and at F.E.A.R.'s headquarters. Since he doesn't work or attend school he generally just wanders around during the day a lot.

About This Character: Fern is the result of Adventure Time's main character, Finn, getting turned into a sentient sword and then merging with another sentient cursed sword, the Grass Sword. Physically, that means he's now made out of grass and has various plant powers. Mentally, that means he has two separate minds making up his Fern self: that of a human teenager who grew up in a post-apocalyptic Earth (and used to be a cosmic entity of change), and an eldritch horror octopus-spider who likes said human teenager but influences his darker thoughts and feelings. Fern's self esteem is essentially non-existent so he's often extremely self-loathing, and he generally thinks violence solves everything. On top of all that he has severe problems with his identity, having lost his previous one as Finn, and frequently questions his personhood. He has a lot of pent-up frustration and emotional instability, and on really bad days this can cause him to have destructive melt downs.

Any Warnings: Being made out of grass Fern comes with buckets of body horror! On top of that his self esteem is in shambles, he hates himself, and has a lot of issues with his identity. He also has very violent tendencies. Grass Demon comes with cephalopod and spider imagery.

Present Life: Fern has had a looot going on these last couple of months. He had a rough time on the Titanic due to some of his close cr getting amnesia, which kicked off his abandonment complex, and he took it all very hard. It culminated in him trying to decapitate Peter Graham, and though he failed at that he hasn't suffered any consequences (aside from some mental suffering due to hurting Luna) from the attempt. In Rapture he went through some emotional turbulence dealing with the amnesia fallout, facing down some Sodder monsters, and confusing other people's emotions with his own via blue and gold strings. Grass Demon also wound up with red strings to the Nogitsune, the Mind Flayer, and Paimon, and a demon fam was born.

This month in an attempt to better establish a sense of identity and direction in his life, Fern has decided to swear an oath of fealty to Paimon, and will be serving him as a knight. Because serving a demon king of hell is totally better than getting a job or attending school, right? He's also having something of a breakdown due to Will's death, and the Soul Eater weaponry even bringing up past trauma.

In lighter events, Grass Demon is thrilled it's spring and is happy to be able to grow all kinds of flora. His chance to communicate with other like-minded demon-creatures means he's stretching his tentacles a bit more and learning out to interact with people independently, without Finn being part of the equation. Fern is also learning the acoustic guitar - Finn was always very musical, and the Grass Demon is apparently good enough at the flute to possibly cast evocation spells, so Fern is picking the guitar up very quickly.

Future Ideas: I'm still very open to Fern having to deal with the consequences of his actions towards NPCs and other Sleepers (e.g. killing Cliff last year, trying to decapitate Peter on the Titanic)! Fern you're a shit and need to stop getting away with hurting people, geez.

Him also dedicating himself to a demon king should probably be Concerning to people, especially to people who like Peter and anyone who is already unsure about Fern's mental state. This boy really needs to be in therapy.
CR You Want:
• He does very well with morally grey cr, since he consciously compartmentalizes the bad sides of people he likes and is pretty awful himself.
• Alternately, people who might clash with his emotional volatility and violence-is-always-the-solution way of thinking.
• Gardeners/plant enthusiasts, or people who would think his grass thing is creepy/weird/interesting.
• Nonhumans in general, since humanity/a lack of it and being an object are big parts of his character. This includes anyone who might be interested in the Grass Demon!
• Grass Demon is available in the Great Sleep for cr specifically with him. Unlike Fern he's super chill most of the time.

Personal Style: Typically I default to action brackets, but I will happily adapt to whatever style the other person is more comfortable with. I’ll also backtag into oblivion, but have been known to boomerang a thread or two depending on time of day and whether or not schedules align for that sort of thing.
OOC Limits: Most subjects are quite honestly open to discussion; as long as we talk it out beforehand, chances are I’ll be fine with playing it out. The only thing I’m a hard no on is any sexual violence, but aside from that, as long as all players involved are on the same page and communicating in regards to darker plots I’m good with just about everything.

Character Name: Wynonna Earp, although she also responds to "Earp," "hey you," "the girl with the big-ass gun or the big-ass... ass," you name it
Age: 30
Employment in Deerington: Bartender at the fake Hair of the Dog, though she's definitely someone you can ask about how to get into the real one.
Residence in Deerington: 1433 Gatlin Drive, a farmhouse out in Clarke Acres, where she lives with Waverly, Frank, Cliff, Laura and Brianna, as well as a verifiable menagerie of animals.
Day to Day Activities: Wynonna, queen of non-routine and keeping things unexpected, definitely has something resembling regular habits here in Deerington (surprise, surprise) and has sort of acquired a few usual haunts. In the mornings (or early afternoons, depending how late she's been at the bar working the night before), she usually pops into Dearly Diner for breakfast (or coffee, at the very least) and some face time with that manager dude, or Jane Dough for coffee and a pastry of some kind, depending on her mood. In terms of work, she's on at the bar either in the late afternoon or the evening, and aside from that she tends to go to the movie theater to check out whatever's playing, the thrift shop to score some vintage duds, the pizza place for a good slice, or the supermarket for some questionable choices in grocery shopping. If you've seen her driving around town she's usually on her giant black motorcycle or in her blue-and-white Ford truck, though she's also made one or two appearances as a passenger in a certain GTO Pontiac.

About This Character: On the surface, Wynonna can come off as an easygoing personality laced with frequent amounts of toughness and snarking all wrapped up in fringed leather — and that's not entirely inaccurate. But the truth is that she's sort of damaged goods thanks to a super traumatic childhood that's given her a lifelong subscription of abandonment and trust issues, so the surface-level joking is basically just her way of keeping others at a distance.

She's made no secret of the fact that she's the great-great-granddaughter of Wyatt Earp (yes, that Wyatt Earp), or that she's technically the latest in a long line of Earp heirs responsible for ridding their home turf of all the resurrected outlaws Wyatt ever put a bullet in — yes, that means demons, with the magical gun that kills them to boot. So she's definitely got experience dealing with the freaky, and even if Deerington has some stuff the likes of which she's never seen, she's pretty capable of keeping her head on straight long enough to take on whatever this town throws her way.
Any Warnings: Her application sums up most of it in terms of general warnings from her canon, including violence/death, parental abuse, alcoholism, depression/mental health issues and more, but happy to avoid those subjects in any threads if needed.

Present Life: Putting it mildly? The last couple of months have been something of an emotional shitshow for Wynonna. She came off a pretty rough time in Rapture in February after two members of the farmhouse crew died, not to mention being without her memory for the entirety of the Titanic event in January, and settling back in Deerington officially gave her a false sense of security about her loved ones — because she's about to be dealing with the unexpected and very horrible death of her little sister Waverly, which is going to launch her into a grief tailspin for the latter half of March, during which she'll be pretty closed-off and withdrawn from everyone save a select group of people until Waves resurrects. After that, she's probably going to be hovering like a protective big sister bear even after the death flu passes. Folks are more than welcome to handwave that they've seen Wynonna hanging around her sister's usual haunts as her not-so-subtle way of keeping an eye on things.

Big Emotional Moments aside, she feels like she's mostly got a handle on what this place is like and what she's going to have to face, and she's more protective of her loved ones and close CR than ever because of her experience dealing with the supernatural on a regular basis back home. Slowly, she's opening up to more and more people, including the ones she lives with, and she's accepted the fact that, based on what has been revealed to them so far, she's needed here for something, even if she doesn't know what that something is yet — so she's willing to stick around and help this town with its problems before the time comes for her to go home. (Side note: If you have a particularly keen set of observational skills, you might notice that she's taken to wearing a very understated ring on her left hand, although she has started opening up and telling closer CR about her capital-e Engagement to Frank as of last month.)
Future Ideas: Moving forward, I'd really just like to focus on building and growing Wynonna's existing relationships, as well as continuing to introduce her to new people. She has a lot of great, dynamic CR that offers her lots of varying opportunities to interact with folks, from trying to mentor any kids that somehow think she's cool to hanging out with fellow hunters to having her world rocked a little by non-humans and Sleepers with powers and things of that nature. I don't have any Big Plans for her at the moment, but Wynonna will always and forever be available to help your character tackle any monster problems (mostly because I like writing fighty/action scenes for her, so any chance she has to kick ass is thoroughly welcomed). She's also forever available for serving your characters drinks at the bar and listening to their problems, and if you want an unbiased ear doling out debatably good advice, you can count on her.

CR You Want: Friends, found family, kids for her to secretly mom as a Secret Mom, drinking buddies, diner buddies, people for her to serve drinks to, folks with supernatural/demon-type experience, honestly everyone and anyone because I want her to meet all the people.

This was around the time she moved in with her (much older) violent werewolf boyfriend Bill Sikes. Bill is incredibly abusive seriously he murders her in canon and she loves him more than anything. To put it succinctly there's a CW on her for child abuse, sexual abuse, sex-work, blood-work, violence, alcohol abuse, and Charles Dickens.

Present Life: Nancy's on her own once again! She spent a few years without Bill before, while he was in prison, and that lead to some interesting complications. She goes from really laid back and goofy to serious when it calls for it. Easy to bounce between slice of life or more serious moments.

Present Life: Getting used to the setting. She spent her first two months in game on the Titanic and in Rapture. So she's just getting a handle on what her new day to day life is going to be like. Her main goal is to get into a groove where she can hopefully do what she does best: Help people out and try to live life to it's fullest. She's more concerned with becoming further unhinged and dangerous, like her father. Now that she's a vampire with dragons, she knows that she could be seen as an even bigger threat, so she's worried about that. She'll try and overcompensate by looking after others.

-Neopolitan is capable of using her semblance to create a magical disguise. She poses as a native when leaving her home and returning and is never seen in the building as her normal self.

Most days, she sleeps in. During the late afternoons/early evenings, she snoops around town for information and trains 1-2 hours daily at the Rec Center, mostly on gymnastic equipment and floor mats for physical sparring. In evenings and nights, she is often at the Real Hair of the Dog, working as a bouncer.

About This Character:
-Neo is functionally mute
-She is a lifelong career criminal, and not a very nice person
-She frequently smiles and behaves playfully, even a little mockingly and insultingly, but it's all surface-deep. She's a professional thug, killer and criminal with a long record of criminal activity in Remnant, her word.
-She's a follower, not a planner. She's more than smart enough to handle criminal planning, but lacks the motivation to do so in general. Without a boss to direct her, she defaults to 'easy' criminal jobs like protection rackets (e.g. working as a bouncer in the crime den of Deerington).
-The only person that she ever cared about in the world (someone for whom she was one of the only people he ever seemed to care about in turn) is dead, and she's driven by revenge. She blames Cinder Fall and Ruby Rose first and foremost for his death, and wants nothing more than their complete destruction and death. she's willing to play the long game, however, and has worked with Cinder because of the woman's power in order to hit Ruby. here in Deerington, she's biding her time because of the Authority.

Any Warnings:
We don't get specifics, but we get strong implications that she is an extremely lonely woman with a bad, possibly even abusive past. The only person who ever cared about her was a criminal scumbag and she's devoted her remaining existence to his memory because she has nothing else.

So, implied warnings for general criminal activity and potential attempts at murder are a given. She's also shown to have a sadistic side, so it could get rough in a scene where she has the upper hand against Ruby or Cinder.

Present Life:
She's new to the game, but she's been busy. She's tried to murder Ruby twice and failed (First because the Authority intervened, and Second because she didn't want to fight Yang and stayed back while she rescued her from a burning hutch). She's taken the occasional potshot at RWBY cast members, and has been testing the waters of Deerington to see what she can get away with.

She is laying low, somewhat, because she doesn't want to telegraph her plans or position. However, she has been using March's event to study how the Authority operate and when they intervene, methodically getting a feel for what they do and when they act, so that she can know better how to get at people she wants dead.

She is also now aware that Death isn't permanent and that's been causing her concerns, as she's trying to decide how to deal with that, given that she really wants to kill certain people.
Future Ideas:
-Minor criminal shenanigans
-Try to kill Ruby
-Probably get into fights with people because she wants to murder a perfectly harmless idiot in cold blood.
-Skulk around and mock people because she thinks most people are stupid.
-Freak out when she realizes people from her past that are dead could be here alive, which means Roman could be (but isn't.).

CR You Want: Neo is good for both positive and negative CR. to the RWBY cast, she's going to be difficult to get positive CR with, but not impossible. It's going to take time and intentional effort to wear down walls of pain and loss. For non-RWBY she defaults to neutral CR, and if someone's competent it's easier to get positive CR. She tends to be a bit pragmatic about her relationships.
CR You Don't Want: Romantic.
Basically, unless you're playing Roman Torchwick, this ain't happening (And I would still need to touch base with any Roman payer about their interpretation of their relationship in canon and how they view it before even going that route with them.). Day to Day Activities: When he's not at school or in work, he can be found hanging out where the people are- he's highly sociable and doesn't like being alone, so if a lot of people spend time in a place, he's likely to be seen there a lot. He will regularly be found at both the rec centre and at Pixie's, where he plays the piano (he likes classical). He can also be found at the movie theatre or the diner on occasion. He has his dog Rosie with him on the regular. She is the best girl.

About This Character: Before his world got devoured in a zombie apocalypse, Louis was a rich kid who did a bad thing and got himself sent to a boarding school for troubled youth. He was in this school when the zombies started to happen and all but one of the faculty abandoned the kids there to die (super). Despite living through 8 years of zombie hell, Louis is a genuinely nice person. He acts as the emotional support for his group and had a knack for knowing when people need to be made to feel a little better. He deals with all his trauma (and massive self-loathing issues from the aforementioned bad thing) with jokes and fooling around. He IS a fun guy, but some of it is a font too. Still, he'll absolutely talk to anyone - he's as easy to befriend as an excitable puppy. If you want some easy, positive CR, here he is. Of course, the closer a person gets to him, the more likely he is to let on about how miserable he actually is so it's kind of a double-edged sword. His world state is here, seen as he's from a canon with multiple potential canonical paths. He's also a CRAU from Entranceway- where he was for 10 months.
Any Warnings: You'll get a heaping of child abandonment, violence against children, kidnapping children, murdering children and the general awfulness that comes from being in a world full of zombies. His mental health is also not the best, however much he tries to pretend otherwise. He has a lot of self-loathing issues thanks to his past actions.

Present Life: He's just come from his first death, which was super fun for him. Thanks to the fact Rapture turned off powers, he's going to (incorrectly) assume that the zombie virus that would otherwise make him turn if he died here isn't active in Deerington. He's pretty happy about that. He's currently avoiding all the Midsomer stuff like the PLAGUE. Sorry, guys, he's seen creepy brainwashing cult behaviour before, he doth not want. Future Ideas: He is going to get a lot more reckless in the future- especially concerning his own safety. He's played it more careful than usual because he thought he might turn, now he believes that isn't the case, he'll be diving into dangerous situations a lot more to try and help people. About This Character: at first blush josh is a dumb jock with a big smile and a lot of compassion. he's the kind of person who will throw himself in front of a bullet to protect someone else, and he's the kind of person who stays up at night thinking about all the people he couldn't save. unfortunately, he's also the kind of person who internalizes all his anger about these things and turns it into a tragedy waiting to happen. josh has a dark side which comes out in full force when he's pushed too hard, and he's not above totally torturing someone with his powers if he's feeling vengeful enough.

Day to Day Activities: Going to work, some light exercise, and working on trying to manipulate her communicator in such a way that it can reach something outside the dream bubble. She's not going to let go of that for a while. Eventually, perhaps she'll hit up the bars, but not any time soon, given the impression that the Townsfolk are making.

About This Character: Uhura is a perfect extrovert who wants to get the fuck outta here. She's not going to let go of the idea that this is all a lie to get them to give up on escaping any time soon. She's used to the more idealistic future of the original Star Trek, so the learning curve for her will be particularly tough. She needs reassurance and a hand to hold and, despite her username, will probably need some saving to begin with. Then she'll take on the saving herself. On the regular, she's clever and fun and caring, will look out for the other Sleepers and try to make friends wherever she can. She's of the mind that they desperately need to stick together to make things work, so she'll be focusing on building up a posse of sorts to feel safe. She also speaks a bajillion languages, so if your character wants to have fun with that, hit her up. She's willing to learn, too, because she needs other ways to exercise her brain beyond trying to get out of here.
Any Warnings: Uhura does have a history of being manipulated by the Alien of the Week, from having her memories erased to being chained up and nearly assaulted. But on the whole, it's still space opera 60s flare. Light misogyny, no hard takes on any rough subjects.

Present Life: Just trying to "settle" in without really settling. Trying to get the lay of the land and see how much of Sodder's letter she can trust and how much she's going to throw out. She got herself a job, just because she wanted something to do and understands that she needs to pay for things. But otherwise, she's keeping the city life at a distance.
Future Ideas: Eventually I want her to be much more of a leader, maybe more of a welcoming committee to those newly arrived. I'd like her to build relationships and care about the people here, which should be easy enough, and then get into trouble from that.

She's a flirt and won't be looking for anything serious any time soon, but I'm open to teasing turning into something more, or not going beyond the light and carefree. About This Character: she's an alien from the 24th century! her species (romulan) on the whole are pretty xenophobic and whilst laris is a little friendlier than most she's still very secretive. it doesn't help that she's also a (former) intelligence agent. she's pretty polite, warm when you get to know her and her only real wariness is with synthetic life (and expect human shittiness). she did initially keep her ears covered but she's seen some pretty weird things already so romulan ears are on dispay!
Any Warnings: her planet was destroyed but that probably won't come up. there's also xenophobia within her species but not really present in her thoughts/speech (synthetics warier).

Day to Day Activities: When he can, he's at school for normal hours. You may very well have heard about the science guy who used a bunsen burner to kill a spider on the ceiling. That's this guy. He can also be found at the Coffee shop, or the cafe run by John and Bruce. He rides around on a hoverbike a lot of times. At night, chances are he's patrolling back and forth between Mouse House and the apartments, followed by his robot Lion.

About This Character: Local Ace pilot goes on a deep space exploration mission, gets abducted by aliens, tortured and experimented on. Escapes back to Earth and accidentally adopts a bunch of reckless teenagers -- and then they're all kidnapped by a giant robot lion and strongarmed into fighting a space war for the freedom of all sentient beings. Optimus Prime Approved 100%

Any Warnings: He's got a LOT of signs/symptoms of PTSD, anxiety/flashbacks/etc. Most of those flashbacks relate to violence and/or medical trauma and experimentation. It's not clear what exactly happened beyond "really bad stuff", but I try and warn for it regardless.

Present Life: ... it's fine, he's fine, everything is fine. He died recently, his friends have all died at various points, and he is genuinely struggling with that. He is not thinking about his own death if he can help it, avoiding it completely. But the more of his friends die the more guilt he's piling on himself. And the more he pushes himself to figure out the town. Chances are, you're going to get adopted in one way or another by this big dweeb.

Future Ideas: He hasn't even met her directly and he is fiercely protective of Sodder. He's investigated as much as he can through the police station and other peoples' findings, but he's determined to go to the lab, if that ever happens, wanting to help their Deer Friend as much as possible. So anything to do with figuring this place out? Digging into research or putting together what knowledge they've managed to collect so far. He's very willing to work with people, for the betterment of everyone.

ALSO YOU KNOW.... relaxing... somehow. Or dealing with the guilt. That might be helpful sometime. Or somehow. Shiro doesn't deal with his problems he just buries them under metric tons of the phrase "I'm fine".

About This Character: His long info is here. In short: Gee is a changeling. He isn't human anymore, but he isn't one of the True Fae, either. He doesn't remember a lot of things: his full name, where he's from, or when he's from. Sometimes he dreams about all those things but he isn't sure if it's wishful thinking or real. As a member of the Autumn Court, he specializes in magic that deals with fear - invoking it, calming it, etc - but he's branched out beyond that. Some info on his magic + an opt out is here.

Any Warnings: Gee was more or less tortured while he was in Arcadia. If he ever talks about it or experiences something that triggers a memory, claustrophobia, mild body horror, and other fantasty-horror themes.

Day to Day Activities: Seven is achingly new to Deerington, so she hasn't got much of a routine yet. At the moment you can probably find her doing any of the following:

▶ Just.. walking around town. She learns by observing most of the time, so she's going to be spending her early days doing a lot of slightly creepy people watching as she tries to figure out what the fuck is going on. Good luck with that, Seven.
▶ Hanging out on the stoop in front of her house. Again with the people watching, but she might also be spotted taking extensive notes.
▶ Visiting any of the bars and diners around town. Non-replicated food and drink is something of a rarity back home, so she's going to (quietly) enjoy having the chance to sample it. She'll also probably be hanging around the Junkyard as she works on her regeneration problem.

About This Character: Seven of Nine is a cyborg from a couple of hundred of years ahead of Deerington's current time. She was taken and enslaved as a cybernetic drone as a child, spending eighteen years of her life as one of the Borg, working to assimilate hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of individuals. After being freed by the crew of the starship Voyager, she has had to relearn how to be human. In her current canon she's moved on from Voyager and is now working as part of a taskforce (or group of vigilantes, depending on who you ask) dedicated to restoring order and peace to a part of the galaxy that has been neglected by the powers that be.

Any Warnings: Seven's canon background contains frequent discussion of enslavement, intense non-consensual body modification, mind control and de-personalisation throughout. She might reference these things in her posts though I will try to mostly keep things light. Her history also contains references to child endangerment, death, torture and kidnapping, as well as various sci fi horrors.

Present Life: Seven is new to Deerington as of this month, so she hasn't got much going on yet. She's mostly focused on trying to find a way to fix up her regeneration alcove for long-term use, as right now it's only got enough power for a month -- she can't sleep like a regular person, so without the ability to regenerate her implants will eventually fail and she'll die. Eventually she's going to end up asking Sodder for a shiny new power supply, but in the meantime she's exploring what Deerington has to offer in terms of both technology and means to escape.
Future Ideas: I'd love for Seven to find a reason (or reasons) to feel conflicted about staying in Deerington. Despite her sometimes chilly exterior, she loves and needs to have people around her to depend on and to care about in order to help her define her own purpose. She's going to feel a little lost without a cause to fight for or some kind of mission, so I'd like to find her something meaningful that she can contribute to.

Age: 39.. ish. Somewhere in that area.
Employment in Deerington: None -- though he'll probably have to get one soon.
Residence in Deerington: Mostly (and somewhat reluctantly) at the cabin with wwrench, howlett, suchmiracles and speed_of_snark, but also in David Cliff when he has to go and hide somewhere.
Day to Day Activities: Grady's very slowly getting used to the idea of being part of Deerington, so he's still keeping himself on the edges of the more social parts of the town. He can mostly be found wasting his time doing the following:


▶ Hanging around Manes on Main, making himself "useful" by acting as low key security (i.e. eyeballing everyone who comes in over the top of whatever book he's reading that day), running errands and fetching coffee/lunch/dinner.
▶ Lurking at the bar in the fake Hair of the Dog. He's falling back on some old bad habits, so can be found there most days. It's rare that he actually gets drunk, he's mostly looking for somewhere that feels familiar. He's also going to start becoming a regular at Deerly Diner for similar reasons.
▶ Eventually (possibly this month) he's going to find out about the monster fighting ring and will inevitably be drawn to the idea of not dealing with his shit through violence, so could also be found there.

About This Character: Grady was raised in and around the Fargo crime syndicate, along with Wrench, his partner in everything. They're childhood friends who fell into a bad crowd and never got out of it -- or at least Grady didn't, since he (SPOILERS) died while on a hit that went deeply wrong. He spent his entire life until that point up to the eyeballs in violence, kidnapping, extorsion, and all the trauma and mundane weirdness that comes with working for the mob. He has a tendency for self-destruction and being a constant thorn in everyone's side, but hey, if you want someone killed or run out of town, there's no better guy to ask.
Any Warnings: Grady comes from a violent canon with adult themes. His comments/plots may contain references to murder, gang violence, torture, criminal activity, major injuries including throat trauma, alcohol/substance abuse, sexual themes and death.

Present Life: There are two significant positives for being in Deerington for Grady: one, he's no longer dead. Two, Wrench is here. That's about it. He's been told to try and look at his second chance at life as an opportunity to make things better or be a better person, but a lifetime of expecting (or wanting) the worst out of people is making that difficult.

He arrived in Deerington in time to experience both the Titanic and Rapture and didn't do very well at coping with either, ending up on a backslide into substance abuse that ended with him stabbing John Blake in the side (sorry, dude) and generally going to a pretty dark place. Since coming back, he's decided to try to pick up the pieces and at least attempt to make amends, because he's starting to realise that he might be stuck in this place for good, and maybe there are worse things than death..
Future Ideas: If he's going to survive in Deerington, Grady's going to need to come out of his shell, so I'd like to find some ways for that to happen. This will probably mean he'll have to hit a pretty hard rock bottom first, though. I'd like for him to find a little stability and start exploring the idea of living a life that isn't constantly on the run, as well as coming to terms with the fact that whatever happens in Deerington isn't going to last once he leaves. This isn't his second chance -- this is, in many ways, his only chance.

CR You Want: Grady's a tough nut to crack in many ways, but I'd love for him to find some kind of friendship outside of his slightly co-dependent relationship with Wes. Some other possible ideas for his CR:

▶ People he can grate against without causing too much trouble. If you can withstand his attempts to make you regret being around him, he'll cling to you like driftwood in a stormy sea.
▶ I'd love to explore a bit of law-abiding/criminal tension -- Grady's a murderer many times over and he doesn't feel particularly sorry about that fact. Maybe this can be a fun source of difficulty for him!
▶ Self-destruction buddies! Let's backslide together! Depending on what else is going on, Grady is going to be drawn to the kinds of people he can fuck around with (literally or figuratively).
▶ If you're feeling brave, it would be great to find some role models for him, or at least someone who's happy to kick his ass until he makes something decent out of himself.
