About This Character: (APP) but all you really need to know is that she's a smartass and capable of handling herself. she's been through hell and back and speaks her mind. ~~good~~ badass things come in small packages.
Any Warnings: her father was taken by an angel trying to stop the apocalypse. that angel is Castiel, her father gave his consent. dean and sam kill things for a living and she's basically a professional monster murderer. lost both of her parents in gruesome ways, was part of a little group of thugs and almost traded to a douchebag so that someone she looked up to could make a clean getaway.

Present Life: Claire's having a really hard time dealing with loss in Deerington. After her own death the blows kept coming so she's in a darker state of mind than ever and feeling pretty pathetic.
Future Ideas: Honestly, bond with others a whole lot more - come outside of herself and share more than the surface value chick.

Character Name: Fern
Age: 17
Employment in Deerington: FEAR combat and weapons specialist.
Residence in Deerington: A treehouse near the Parks and Rec building and Lake Tomie.
Day to Day Activities: Fern doesn't attend school or have an actual job so he can be found around town and the forests during the day. He likes to loiter around FEAR, messing with the weapons and practicing his swords. Now that spring has arrived he also spends a lot of time in trees. He is also having daily training sessions with Maul.

About This Character:Fern is the result of Adventure Time's main character, Finn, getting turned into a sentient sword and then merging with another sentient cursed sword, the Grass Sword. Physically, that means he's now made out of grass and has various plant powers. Mentally, that means he has two separate minds making up his Fern self: that of a human teenager who grew up in a post-apocalyptic Earth (and used to be a cosmic entity of change), and an eldritch horror octopus-spider who likes said human teenager but influences his darker thoughts and feelings. Fern's self esteem is essentially non-existent so he's often extremely self-loathing, and he generally thinks violence solves everything. On top of all that he has severe problems with his identity, having lost his previous one as Finn, and frequently questions his personhood. He has a lot of pent-up frustration and emotional instability, and on really bad days this can cause him to have destructive meltdowns.

Any Warnings: Being made out of grass Fern comes with buckets of body horror! On top of that he has low self-esteem, and has a lot of issues with his identity. He also has very violent tendencies and his past involves violence against children, death and parental neglect/abuse. Grass Demon comes with cephalopod and spider imagery.

Present Life: A couple of things to note! Early in the month Fern died his second death via Leitner book, and his deer statue is outside the high school. He's also been caught up in a bunch of teenage drama, because it turns out having feelings for someone is hard. Lastly, he and Paimon have been collecting and circulating Leitner books for their own research purposes. They currently have two in their possession, one that contains secrets of the readers and one that offers invisibility. This month he is doing a lot of monster killing, and will b e staying grey because what is self-worth.
Future Ideas: Always looking for more opportunities with the Leitner plot. I think he'll be accompanying a Jon, Martin and co. expedition into The Great Sleep at some point.

CR You Want: Any and all! Fern is great with other fighters, since he loves fighting. He's also an eldritch monstrosity, so characters who would bond over that or would be interested research-wise will get a lot out of him. He's also pretty easy to get negative cr with if you are looking for that.

Day to Day Activities: Gee wanders around when he's not working. He can be found almost literally anywhere. Sometimes collecting things. He often has a magpie with him. He talks to her.

About This Character: His long info is here. In short: Gee is a changeling. He isn't human anymore, but he isn't one of the True Fae, either. He doesn't remember a lot of things: his full name, where he's from, or when he's from. Sometimes he dreams about all those things but he isn't sure if it's wishful thinking or real. As a member of the Autumn Court, he specializes in magic that deals with fear - invoking it, calming it, etc - but he's branched out beyond that. Some info on his magic + an opt out is here.

Any Warnings: Gee was more or less tortured while he was in Arcadia. If he ever talks about it or experiences something that triggers a memory, claustrophobia, mild body horror, and other fantasty-horror themes. He also feeds on fear, in a way, so if your character is terrified of anything while in his presence, he's going to take note and it could come up later.

Present Life: He is currently involved in some weird shit with Jonathan Sims and company and he will absolutely be fighting some eldritch goddess thing inside a carcass FOR THE KNOWLEDGE. He has allowed Jon to get into his head and he has every intention of doing it again. He had Leitner book for a hot minute but someone (Fern) stole it. He's been trying to find it to no avail.

Future Ideas: I'd like for Gee to start remembering parts of who he really is/was. This will, undoubtedly, lead to angst for him but also some closure. He'll be living in Flatwoods so if anyone wants to play with Spooky Stuff out there, he'll need help fixing up his house. He also wants to learn more about Deerington itself and has already gone on/is going on a few adventures to that end, but if anyone else wants to dig in, he's your guy.

Age: 16
Employment in Deerington: High school student, he also helps Katherine out at the apothecary.
Residence in Deerington: #25 Raccoon Alley
Day to Day Activities: He spends a LOT of his time in his basement lab at home (anyone in racoon alley enjoy the explosions!). Otherwise he can be found at school, at the library, the comic book shop and occasionally the arcade - though he's more interested in how the machines work than actually playing the games. Sometimes he heads to the FEAR labs but mostly it's to pilfer supplies.

About This Character: A teenage alchemist with a mind that's firing way too many cylinders at once. Varian is obsessed with a Capital O about science and spends most of his time creating potions and machines to try and make the world a better place. He grudgingly knows a bit about magic, too- only because his world is chock full of it and his weirdo friends keep dragging him into their magical adventures. Science is superior though, prove him wrong!! He's a reformed villain- having a rough patch in the middle there that he categorically will try to avoid talking about. He has a desperate need for praise and validation so if you give him that he will literally walk through fire for you. He's a righteous little shit who always thinks he's the smartest person in the room- but does genuinely want to do good in the world. He's often accompanied by his semi-sentient raccoon, Ruddiger.
Any Warnings: Varian has a absolute shed-load of self loathing issues. The whole Former Disney Villain thing weighs heavy on him and he has a massive guilt complex about it. It's deeply unlikely he'll bring it up, but if he does there's parental magical not-death, kidnapping, drugging, attempted murder, prison and a slapdash of an attempted suicide mission.

Present Life: Getting used to having relationships with people his own age- which is still weird for him. He's never had a chance to be a normal teenager so he's kind of ??? about the whole thing. Starting to date Ruby which hs has NO idea what he's doing and Fern dropped his own feelings for Varian on him and he had a bit of a bi panic about the whole thing. Emotions are hard and too many people are having them at him so he's mostly living in a panicked state. Please help him. Rapunzel also shows, up but is from a point in time before she met him and he's got no idea how to handle that so he's basically telling her NOTHING. He's going to be black and white for most of the plot- bar a couple of instances where he might get some colour back- bonus points if you get the stupid streak. He's going to be helping fight in the battle with his alchemy too- and getting on the memory plot.
Future Ideas: He's still gathering CR and suchlike. Honestly, I'm just happy to let him deal with normal teen stuff while also finding some peace with himself at the same time. He's definitely going to be involved in the overarching plot. Also building ALL THE THINGS.

CR You Want: All but two of his friends in canon are full-grown adults (and those two are like...9) so he's actually pretty used to talking to them (and is weirdly more comfortable around them than he is other teenagers). Still, give him teens to hang out with too. Force him out of his lab so he can do normal stuff.
CR You Don't Want: His romantic life is already ON FIRE, so probably no more of that unless it's an adorable one-sided crush.

About This Character: (APP) he's pretty much as advertised, a warlock then at is hundreds of years old with a penchant for dry wit and a heart of gold. he keeps his secrets secret and opens up completely for very few. he likes to meddle and has become a big fan of the finer things in life.

Any Warnings: Parental negligence, suicide, isolation, homophobia, race wars as it pertains to syfy creatures, and all there-in.

Present Life: Well, Deerington brought his current soulmate Alec Lightwood around as well as his sister and then bait switched and left him alone. He's currently dealing with his own selfish desire to not be alone in a place that he knows is truly horrible. Beyond that, he's been lying low and staying within his own circle as much as possible up until his recent post here.

Future Ideas: Definitely want him to get involved in F.E.A.R. and do more to build relationships since he's so afraid of it. I am hoping to have him become more involved with Deerington and the nature of the place itself soon and much less of a naysayer where finding the truth is concerned.

Character Name: Shiro (aka Takashi Shirogane but almost no one ever calls him that)
Age: 25 in canon, 27 in game
Employment in Deerington: Elementary School science teacher
Residence in Deerington: Mouse House - out by the nature park on Elm Street.

Day to Day Activities: When he can, he's at school for normal hours. You may very well have heard about the science guy who used a bunsen burner to kill a spider on the ceiling. That's this guy. He can also be found at the Coffee shop, or the cafe run by John and Bruce. He rides around on a hoverbike a lot of times. At night, chances are he's patrolling back and forth between Mouse House and the apartments, followed by his robot Lion. He can also be found at the rec center gym.

About This Character: Local Ace pilot goes on a deep space exploration mission, gets abducted by aliens, tortured and experimented on. Escapes back to Earth and accidentally adopts a bunch of reckless teenagers -- and then they're all kidnapped by a giant robot lion and strongarmed into fighting a space war for the freedom of all sentient beings. Loves space and astronomy, can drive or fly just about anything. Hopeless in the kitchen. Loves bad jokes and uses them as a coping mechanism.

Any Warnings: He's got a LOT of signs/symptoms of PTSD, anxiety/flashbacks/etc. Most of those flashbacks relate to violence and/or medical trauma and experimentation. It's not clear what exactly happened beyond "really bad stuff", but I try and warn for it regardless.

Also, because it's come up a few times recently, descriptions of chronic and/or potentially terminal (?) illness may occur in close CR conversations. I will warn for that in the subject lines too.

Present Life: Shiro hasn't slept well in like weeks now. Thanks to the Palantir. Which means he's out and about even more. Chugging coffee and working out. He's still going to his teaching job when the school's open, because hey, it helps him focus on other things. Otherwise not much has changed except the massive amount of guilt hanging on him - he still lives at Mouse House, still has his bike and his Lion.

Recently went back to the Great Sleep for a bit with Allura. And will be working with her on recording things for the Voltron house in case of more deaths slash memory losses.

Future Ideas: He hasn't even met her directly and he is fiercely protective of Sodder. He's investigated as much as he can through the police station and other peoples' findings, but he's determined to go to the lab, if that ever happens, wanting to help their Deer Friend as much as possible. So anything to do with figuring this place out? Digging into research or putting together what knowledge they've managed to collect so far. He's very willing to work with people, for the betterment of everyone.

Mostly looking into solving the Sodder mystery right now, but always open to throwing him into things that may require a magic robot arm or combat support in general! He's always up for helping people, no matter what. Aggressively friendshipping anyone who might need it.

Since he's started going to the gym, he's made himself available to people for self-defense training too. If you want to thread or handwave that happening, I'm up for it!

Age: 18
Employment in Deerington: High school student, part time at the bowling alley. He also works two nights a week at Pixie's as a paid performer.
Residence in Deerington: 221 David Cliff Appartments
Day to Day Activities: When he's not at school or in work, he can be found hanging out where the people are- he's highly sociable and doesn't like being alone, so if a lot of people spend time in a place, he's likely to be seen there a lot. He will regularly be found at both the rec centre and at Pixie's, where he plays the piano (he likes classical). He can also be found at the movie theatre or the diner on occasion. He has his dog Rosie with him on the regular. She is the best girl.

About This Character: Before his world got devoured in a zombie apocalypse, Louis was a rich kid who did a bad thing and got himself sent to a boarding school for troubled youth. He was in this school when the zombies started to happen and all but one of the faculty abandoned the kids there to die (super). Despite living through 8 years of zombie hell, Louis is a genuinely nice person. He acts as the emotional support for his group and had a knack for knowing when people need to be made to feel a little better. He deals with all his trauma (and massive self-loathing issues from the aforementioned bad thing) with jokes and fooling around. He IS a fun guy, but some of it is a font too. Still, he'll absolutely talk to anyone - he's as easy to befriend as an excitable puppy. If you want some easy, positive CR, here he is. Of course, the closer a person gets to him, the more likely he is to let on about how miserable he actually is so it's kind of a double-edged sword. His world state is here, seen as he's from a canon with multiple potential canonical paths. He's also a CRAU from Entranceway- where he was for 10 months.
Any Warnings: You'll get a heaping of child abandonment, violence against children, kidnapping children, murdering children and the general awfulness that comes from being in a world full of zombies. His mental health is also not the best, however much he tries to pretend otherwise. He has a lot of self-loathing issues thanks to his past actions.

Present Life: Livin' he life as usual. He's going to have some shades of grey during the plot, but will actually be surprised himself that it's LESS than he thought it would be. He's finally learning not to hate himself as much! He will, of course, be around to help otherwise find themselves because he's a good guy like that. He's going to be recklessly fighting in the war, and will likely get an injury of some kind, haven't decided yet. If you want your char around when he does, let me know!
Future Ideas: He is going to get a lot more reckless in the future- especially concerning his own safety. He's played it more careful than usual because he thought he might turn, now he believes that isn't the case, he'll be diving into dangerous situations a lot more to try and help people. Please feel free to yell at him.

CR You Want: Louis is a social butterfly-he thrives on having a whole ton of friends. Thanks to the adult abandoning thing he gets closer to fellow teens and kids (and younger adults) a lot faster than adults. He'll still be pretty cheerful towards adults - but trust takes a lot more work. GIVE HIM ALL THE FRIENDS.

About This Character: He’s a boy {or a man if you want to run into an older him!} who is very kindhearted and enjoys helping people. He’s from Derry Maine and doesn’t like it there compared to here. He becomes an architect when he’s older and loves to build things now too.

Any Warnings: Bullying is a big one for Ben. he gets carved on with a knife due to his bully. Fat shaming and nerd shaming and such.

Present Life: He has his friends, though one just left. He’s majorly supportive of them and would be to anyone he befriends. He’s training with a few people to be stronger. He’s working on building a clubhouse/escape house too.
Future Ideas: I need to do some drastic and dramatic things to him at some point. He’s missing a pinky now but i need to torture him a bit more.

Day to Day Activities: Driving around in his truck mode, trying to stay incognito, but... not doing a great job of that. He goes off-roading a lot, probably to the dismay of every living thing in the woods. Sometimes he'll check in on people he knows. Sometimes.

About This Character: A cranky old man in a giant robot body. He's canonically one of the oldest Autobots, and has the ... uh. Physical issues of an old man, too. His joints seize up, transformations are rough. And he hates it. A lot. He was made to be a soldier and has enough body armor and guns to match a small country. Violently hates Decepticons. Like, super violently.

Any Warnings: ... aside from being from a Michael Bay movie, nah not really.

Present Life: Ironhide doesn't get out much. He's used to trying to hide his presence from human beings, but has come out of his giant metal shell a little bit. Mostly to the local toys and Moira. He's been turned into a human a few times, and hates it. There's very little in town that's made him smile.

Currently he's been Brooding due to the last event reminding him he is very alone in Deerington. So now he's pretending he's fine.

Day to Day Activities: She can be found wandering the toy a lot, she's outed herself as a toy now so no more hiding. She can usually be found at the diner people watching or hanging out wherever animals or kids go.

About This Character: Jessie's a rough and tumble cowgirl with a heart of mostly gold. Her emotions are always very much on the surface and she often lacks middle gears when she swings between her moods- so you pretty much get whatever she's feeling at the time with both barrels. She has one hell of a temper on her when she's riled up enough, but is generally very friendly and a bundle of happy energy. UNFORTUNATELY, thanks to her first owner abandoning her at the side of the road and then being kept in storage by a toy collector for years, she's left with some pretty strong emotional scars from the whole experience. She doesn't trust people easily at all. Friendly as she is, earning her trust takes time and effort.
Any Warnings: Jessie has PTSD from the whole being abandoned and then being trapped in a cardboard box for literal decades thing. She tends to spiral into panic attacks if she thinks she's being abandoned- and has a tendency to lash out in an attempt to protect herself. She very much freaks out in small spaces or the dark; her claustrophobia is pretty intense. She's learned some grounding methods over the years, but she still doesn't handle it well if her triggers are set off. Tiny toy has large traumas.

Present Life: She got turned into a thunderbird and she absolutely ate a bunch of townspeople. As a first experience of being made organic, it WASN'T GREAT and she is dealing with it by not talking about it to anyone at all. The healthy way! She'll be pretty much full colour in this plot because her issues have always been what's been inflicted on her, rather her own self-worth. She's going to be helping people come back to full colour. She'll also go check out the horses (avoiding the rest of the party) and might b found running some recon in the war at least.
Future Ideas: She's just chugging along, trying to live her best toy life.

CR You Want: Jessie is pretty amicable and gets along with most people. Fellow critter lovers are always a plus, as are people who speak their minds- not a fan of liars, this one. She will also look out for all the kids and mother them forever. That said, cross her and the gal will hold a grudge until the heat death of the universe.
CR You Don't Want: No need for romance, because she's a ten-inch tall ragdoll and she has a Buzz. Otherwise, anything goes.

About This Character: (APP) - Barry is basically a dumpster fire of a person that was trying to escape his life as an actual hitman through acting in LA but as you might expect, it didn't turn out well. Now he's here and twice as miserable than before. If you want a weird stilted emotionally stunted dude around you he is the guy to go to though. For real.
Any Warnings: PTSD, spousal abuse, murder, gaslighting, Stockholm syndrome, emotional abuse, torture, various aspects of mental health, war, guns and gun violence, weapon violence, terror, racism where it pertains to gangs, racism where it pertains to war, etc.

Day to Day Activities: stefan's not overly social but he does go out at least once a day. he spends time in bars and in liquor stores because he's a fan of good alcohol. you might also see him around the hospital but you gotta be fast to do that. he doesn't have a job but he's looking for one. he can be seen going out for coffee and food but he does know how to cook so he can be seen in grocery stores buying a lot of fresh produce as well.

About This Character: stefan's a vampire and an old one at that. he's lived through several wars and through a lot of other shit so he's world weary and kind of tired. but, he's an overall nice person if a little withdrawn. he's not going to go out of his way to be social and talkative but he won't walk away either. there is another side to him as well that comes out if he indulges in his blood addiction but he's working on his control.
Any Warnings: considering he's a vampire, there'll be talk of blood and blood drinking because that's what he does. he's also experienced mental and physical torture, desiccation, death, parental abuse, and violence. he's not going to just start talking about this but it's there.
Present Life: right now, stefan's just recovering from going all ripper and seeing the ghost of people from his past. he's also hanging around katherine pierce a lot and he has no regrets. he's also finally trying to deal with his blood addiction instead of just trying to ignore it.

About This Character:Genji comes from the future! A time of omnic (robot) wars and hovering cars. Everything here seems a bit behind in technology. He’s getting used to it though. His brother Hanzo nearly killed him when he was younger (Hanzo is here!) and because of it he has a lot of metal parts. He’s a cyborg.
Any Warnings: His rough past is his brother and he fought. It was bad. He nearly died. He was an angry boy for some time because of it too.

Present Life: He’s been sticking with his Blackwatch Crew mostly, and i need to change that. Working at the college and patrolling the town in general. He’s going to be fighting some orcs soon though.
Future Ideas: Not sure. This is my most casual of characters. He goes with the flow, so I don’t have a lot of plans. I’m thinking of making him lose the robotic arm in a fight though.

Day to Day Activities: She’s going to be exploring a lot. Wandering. Walking around or driving around to get her head around this place. Find her at a cafe, or the library, or just wandering really. She could be anywhere.

About This Character: Zed is a run away from her father, who was a crazy cult leader saving her for end times, basically. She left at 16 and has been on the run for some time. She’s a physic basically. A bit of everything to her as a blanketing statement. She has visions when she touches things, sometimes. That’s been nerfed a bit, but it’s still there. She also has a brain tumor, so it affects her when she uses her powers too much.
Any Warnings: Not really? Medical trauma being a brain tumor and possible seizures. Something I don't play with too much unless all parties want it. SO no surprises here.

Present Life: She’s new! So she doesn’t have much outside of a few things. She’s found a job at Glass. She has a few friends already. She’s a kind person so she’s easy to befriend. Like I said before, she wanders a lot. Being trapped here is going to bother her after a bit.
Future Ideas: She works at Glass, where an 8 hour day can be pushed into a half hour, so lucky her. But it’s really going to tire her out, because she’s going to put time in on her shift, only to have a full day to live as well. Also I’d love for some incidents to happen at Glass with her visions.

Her personal podcast, The Black Tapes starts as a show based around interesting people doing interesting things and then dives into the world of the paranormal and the nature of belief.
