About This Character: (APP) but all you really need to know is that she's a smartass and capable of handling herself. she's been through hell and back and speaks her mind. good badass things come in small packages.
Any Warnings: her father was taken by an angel trying to stop the apocalypse. that angel is Castiel, her father gave his consent. dean and sam kill things for a living and she's basically a professional monster murderer. lost both of her parents in gruesome ways, was part of a little group of thugs and almost traded to a douchebag so that someone she looked up to could make a clean getaway.

Present Life: Claire's having a really hard time dealing with loss in Deerington. After her own death the blows kept coming so she's in a darker state of mind than ever and feeling pretty pathetic.

About This Character: Prickly supernatural researcher who looks like he's been chewed up by a dozen different horror tropes (he has) and hasn't properly slept in a year (he hasn't). Jon has had a rough few years: he's gone from "rude posh academic at some London institute" to "guilt-ridden monster man trying to save the world." He feeds on memories of horror and throws eerie eldritch vibes to people who can pick up on those.

Any Warnings: LOTS OF THEM, but most won't come up unless we plot for it. You'll be most likely to encounter violence mentions, eerie eye imagery, fears relating to being watched, enjoyment of someone else's suffering, and supernatural compulsions and addictions. Optional extras include hardcore body horror, burrowing insects, captivity, claustrophobia, isolation, disorientation, monsters, and murder.

Present Life: Living with his soft bf Martin Blackwood and trying to solve Deerington. Jon is collecting records of people's paranormal experiences, from here or at home, and looking for patterns in all the past and present horror. Still dealing with the Leitner player plot, which is ongoing and open to plotting. Open to May event plotting.

Future Ideas: He might do a late-May network post, asking to learn people's stories, or inviting characters to categorize their experiences in the way he's used to. During lulls, he'll be throwing himself into the Great Sleep and Sodder's Heart. And in late June, the Witch of the Waste curse is finally hitting him, and he'll ramp up to his full-fledged monster self: mind-reading, zero impulse control, all the hunger, and Way Too Many Eyes.

Day to Day Activities: When he can, he's at school for normal hours. You may very well have heard about the science guy who used a bunsen burner to kill a spider on the ceiling. That's this guy. He can also be found at the Coffee shop, or the cafe run by John and Bruce. He rides around on a hoverbike a lot of times. At night, chances are he's patrolling back and forth between Mouse House and the apartments, followed by his robot Lion. He can also be found at the rec center gym.

About This Character: Local Ace pilot goes on a deep space exploration mission, gets abducted by aliens, tortured and experimented on. Escapes back to Earth and accidentally adopts a bunch of reckless teenagers -- and then they're all kidnapped by a giant robot lion and strongarmed into fighting a space war for the freedom of all sentient beings. Loves space and astronomy, can drive or fly just about anything. Hopeless in the kitchen. Loves bad jokes and uses them as a coping mechanism.

Any Warnings: He's got a LOT of signs/symptoms of PTSD, anxiety/flashbacks/etc. Most of those flashbacks relate to violence and/or medical trauma and experimentation. It's not clear what exactly happened beyond "really bad stuff", but I try and warn for it regardless.

Also, because it's come up a few times recently, descriptions of chronic and/or potentially terminal (?) illness may occur in close CR conversations. I will warn for that in the subject lines too.


Present Life: Shiro hasn't slept well in like weeks now. Thanks to the Palantir. Which means he's out and about even more. Chugging coffee and working out. He's still going to his teaching job when the school's open, because hey, it helps him focus on other things. Otherwise not much has changed except the massive amount of guilt hanging on him - he still lives at Mouse House, still has his bike and his Lion.

Recently went back to the Great Sleep for a bit with Allura. And will be working with her on recording things for the Voltron house in case of more deaths slash memory losses.


Future Ideas: He hasn't even met her directly and he is fiercely protective of Sodder. He's investigated as much as he can through the police station and other peoples' findings, but he's determined to go to the lab, if that ever happens, wanting to help their Deer Friend as much as possible. So anything to do with figuring this place out? Digging into research or putting together what knowledge they've managed to collect so far. He's very willing to work with people, for the betterment of everyone.

Mostly looking into solving the Sodder mystery right now, but always open to throwing him into things that may require a magic robot arm or combat support in general! He's always up for helping people, no matter what. Aggressively friendshipping anyone who might need it.

Since he's started going to the gym, he's made himself available to people for self-defense training too. If you want to thread or handwave that happening, I'm up for it!

Present Life: Working for FEAR, sparring with other badass ladies in town, starting to train other residents in combat and weaponry, all good stuff.
Future Ideas: She's definitely going to be offering more training to people and likely doing more posts about self-defense. Anyone want to assist her in teaching how to escape a grapple?

Day to Day Activities: He spends a LOT of his time in his basement lab at home (anyone in racoon alley enjoy the explosions!). Otherwise he can be found at school, at the library, the comic book shop and occasionally the arcade - though he's more interested in how the machines work than actually playing the games. Sometimes he heads to the FEAR labs but mostly it's to pilfer supplies.

About This Character: A teenage alchemist with a mind that's firing way too many cylinders at once. Varian is obsessed with a Capital O about science and spends most of his time creating potions and machines to try and make the world a better place. He grudgingly knows a bit about magic, too- only because his world is chock full of it and his weirdo friends keep dragging him into their magical adventures. Science is superior though, prove him wrong!! He's a reformed villain- having a rough patch in the middle there that he categorically will try to avoid talking about. He has a desperate need for praise and validation so if you give him that he will literally walk through fire for you. He's a righteous little shit who always thinks he's the smartest person in the room- but does genuinely want to do good in the world. He's often accompanied by his semi-sentient raccoon, Ruddiger.
Any Warnings: Varian has a absolute shed-load of self loathing issues. The whole Former Disney Villain thing weighs heavy on him and he has a massive guilt complex about it. It's deeply unlikely he'll bring it up, but if he does there's parental magical not-death, kidnapping, drugging, attempted murder, prison and a slapdash of an attempted suicide mission.

Present Life: Getting used to having relationships with people his own age- which is still weird for him. He's never had a chance to be a normal teenager so he's kind of ??? about the whole thing. Starting to date Ruby which hs has NO idea what he's doing and Fern dropped his own feelings for Varian on him and he had a bit of a bi panic about the whole thing. Emotions are hard and too many people are having them at him so he's mostly living in a panicked state. Please help him. Rapunzel also shows, up but is from a point in time before she met him and he's got no idea how to handle that so he's basically telling her NOTHING. He's going to be black and white for most of the plot- bar a couple of instances where he might get some colour back- bonus points if you get the stupid streak. He's going to be helping fight in the battle with his alchemy too- and getting on the memory plot.
Future Ideas: He's still gathering CR and suchlike. Honestly, I'm just happy to let him deal with normal teen stuff while also finding some peace with himself at the same time. He's definitely going to be involved in the overarching plot. Also building ALL THE THINGS.

CR You Want: All but two of his friends in canon are full-grown adults (and those two are like...9) so he's actually pretty used to talking to them (and is weirdly more comfortable around them than he is other teenagers). Still, give him teens to hang out with too. Force him out of his lab so he can do normal stuff.

About This Character: He’s a boy {or a man if you want to run into an older him!} who is very kindhearted and enjoys helping people. He’s from Derry Maine and doesn’t like it there compared to here. He becomes an architect when he’s older and loves to build things now too.

Any Warnings: Bullying is a big one for Ben. he gets carved on with a knife due to his bully. Fat shaming and nerd shaming and such.

Present Life: He has his friends, though one just left. He’s majorly supportive of them and would be to anyone he befriends. He’s training with a few people to be stronger. He’s working on building a clubhouse/escape house too.

Employment in Deerington: FEAR combat and weapons specialist.
Residence in Deerington: A treehouse near the Parks and Rec building and Lake Tomie.
Day to Day Activities: Fern doesn't attend school or have an actual job so he can be found around town and the forests during the day. He likes to loiter around FEAR, messing with the weapons and practicing his swords. Now that spring has arrived he also spends a lot of time in trees. He is also having daily training sessions with Maul.

About This Character:Fern is the result of Adventure Time's main character, Finn, getting turned into a sentient sword and then merging with another sentient cursed sword, the Grass Sword. Physically, that means he's now made out of grass and has various plant powers. Mentally, that means he has two separate minds making up his Fern self: that of a human teenager who grew up in a post-apocalyptic Earth (and used to be a cosmic entity of change), and an eldritch horror octopus-spider who likes said human teenager but influences his darker thoughts and feelings. Fern's self esteem is essentially non-existent so he's often extremely self-loathing, and he generally thinks violence solves everything. On top of all that he has severe problems with his identity, having lost his previous one as Finn, and frequently questions his personhood. He has a lot of pent-up frustration and emotional instability, and on really bad days this can cause him to have destructive meltdowns.

Any Warnings: Being made out of grass Fern comes with buckets of body horror! On top of that he has low self-esteem, and has a lot of issues with his identity. He also has very violent tendencies and his past involves violence against children, death and parental neglect/abuse. Grass Demon comes with cephalopod and spider imagery.

Present Life: A couple of things to note! Early in the month Fern died his second death via Leitner book, and his deer statue is outside the high school. He's also been caught up in a bunch of teenage drama, because it turns out having feelings for someone is hard. Lastly, he and Paimon have been collecting and circulating Leitner books for their own research purposes. They currently have two in their possession, one that contains secrets of the readers and one that offers invisibility. This month he is doing a lot of monster killing, and will b e staying grey because what is self-worth.
Future Ideas: Always looking for more opportunities with the Leitner plot. I think he'll be accompanying a Jon, Martin and co. expedition into The Great Sleep at some point.

CR You Want: Any and all! Fern is great with other fighters, since he loves fighting. He's also an eldritch monstrosity, so characters who would bond over that or would be interested research-wise will get a lot out of him. He's also pretty easy to get negative cr with if you are looking for that.

Something I'd like to explore is memory-magic with Albus. Newt taught her a fair bit on Occlumency, but she's got ongoing research she's been doing in the field, mostly for selfish reasons. It could be interesting to do some of that, maybe next month after she recovers from death.

Day to Day Activities: Gee wanders around when he's not working. He can be found almost literally anywhere. Sometimes collecting things. He often has a magpie with him. He talks to her.

About This Character: His long info is here. In short: Gee is a changeling. He isn't human anymore, but he isn't one of the True Fae, either. He doesn't remember a lot of things: his full name, where he's from, or when he's from. Sometimes he dreams about all those things but he isn't sure if it's wishful thinking or real. As a member of the Autumn Court, he specializes in magic that deals with fear - invoking it, calming it, etc - but he's branched out beyond that. Some info on his magic + an opt out is here.

Any Warnings: Gee was more or less tortured while he was in Arcadia. If he ever talks about it or experiences something that triggers a memory, claustrophobia, mild body horror, and other fantasty-horror themes. He also feeds on fear, in a way, so if your character is terrified of anything while in his presence, he's going to take note and it could come up later.

Present Life: He is currently involved in some weird shit with Jonathan Sims and company and he will absolutely be fighting some eldritch goddess thing inside a carcass FOR THE KNOWLEDGE. He has allowed Jon to get into his head and he has every intention of doing it again. He had Leitner book for a hot minute but someone (Fern) stole it. He's been trying to find it to no avail.

Future Ideas: I'd like for Gee to start remembering parts of who he really is/was. This will, undoubtedly, lead to angst for him but also some closure. About This Character: stefan's a vampire and an old one at that. he's lived through several wars and through a lot of other shit so he's world weary and kind of tired. but, he's an overall nice person if a little withdrawn. he's not going to go out of his way to be social and talkative but he won't walk away either. there is another side to him as well that comes out if he indulges in his blood addiction but he's working on his control.

About This Character:
1) The first thing that is unavoidably noticeable is that she's mute and unwilling to learn Sign Language. Neo feels comfortable using Text, generally via her phone (similar to her scroll back home) if a thought requires detailed conveying, and will generally only do this when she thinks it's more convenient or needed. She prefers to communicate through non-verbal cues.
2) She's extremely short. 4'10" in high heels. Her actual height is closer to 4'7", so expect her to look up at you like you're the one looking up at her.

Neo is a criminal to her core. The former co-worker and muscle of would-be criminal mastermind Roman Torchwick, she's been the silent bag-girl for his operations for as long as anyone is aware, and caught up to his ops in season 2 of RWBY, proving herself arguably his only competent employee. She's a little bratty, impudent, snarky, cocky and playful, and on top of that deadly. She has little moral compunctions about hurting others or breaking the law when it suits her, but she's also not one who hurts others for no reason.

Since the end of Season 3 and Roman's Death, she has become obsessed with revenge upon the two people she holds responsible for that death: Ruby Rose and Cinder Fall. She bides her time working with Cinder to kill Ruby first, waiting for a chance to take Cinder down as well.

Any Warnings:
-I've become aware of the possibility of unintentional "Ableism" in portraying Neo's mute status and her preference towards text communication. It's not intentional, but if you catch moments of it, please let me know. She's a newer muse and I do not want her preference of communication to construe an implied elitism towards those who are disabled. This 'should not' happen in scenes, but because I'm aware of the possibility, I mention it.
-She's potentially violent, lightly sadistic if she dislikes you, and is quite willing to both stalk her prey, torment them and taunt them leading up to the act. She's largely without remorse and well aware that she will never find closure in this act. So, there's going to be some violent triggers that may come up, especially if a character is close to Ruby Rose and likely to step in and try to defend/protect her from someone who wishes her bodily harm.

Present Life: So, Ruby's player and I love making fools out of these two it seems. She's tried in an almost Bugs Bunny/Tom & Jerry level comedic way to kill Ruby three separate times, and failed (Authority first, Yang rescue second, Cursed book making her dig until she hit bedrock third.). It's frustrating as hell, and she's been trying to figure out how to properly kill Ruby without the Authority or others interfering. In the meantime, she's been holding down a job, enjoying a better social network than she knew back home that makes communicating easier, and getting in the occasional yuck.

She's run afoul of Varian, who is presently starting to date Ruby, and is aware of others (particularly castmates) who might protect her in a pinch. Beyond Ruby, she generally just gets up to light shenanigans and amuses herself. Ruby's here, so she doesn't want to leave until the job is done. Might as well have fun.
Future Ideas: Obviously Ruby's player and I have plans there. Keep a lookout if you're so inclined.
-People trying to befriend her could be interesting. She's emotionally very stunted and dead inside because of the loss of the only person she cared about in life, but it's not actually impossible.
-Opportunities for a girl with magical disguises to cause some light miscief.
-I would really like her to go to the Boats on Mt Rheum. She has a question she will want to ask the oracle there. However, I am thinking if nobody nibbles here that I will Buy a Hint for 1,500 points next month and use that as the justification. It could be interesting what she finds.

Can be very snooty and obnoxious but he used to be a lot worse. A lot worse.

Any Warnings: Wesley's father is hot garbage and there are so many issues there. He probably won't bring any of this up unless you're really close CR but there's lots of physical and emotional abuse. He's also been physically tortured in canon not too long ago but he's not too eager to discuss this either.

She helped tend her family's personal garden at home and she's doing much the same here so in time she might peddle vegetables or flowers in a farmer's market fashion. Maybe look into a greenhouse or any type of business like that?

In her downtime she likes to try to increase her cooking ability and she likes to read a great deal too.

About This Character:
A bit of basic information.

Maria is an upbeat, jovial and self-confident kind of gal. She came into her spiritual powers at twelve and dove straight into fighting with them. Though she was raised in a noble family she's much more of a tomboy than anything with a distinct love of animals thanks to the Renard family raising doves. That affection seems to be shared with birds in particular if her kinship with doves and owls is any indication.

She's also distinctly casual about a lot of things others might not be given her upbringing with Richter and Annette Belmont as well as her early experiences with spiritual powers, Dracula and so on. She isn't frightened easily and is more flustered by emotional things than she ever will be by monsters or other threats. Basically if she cant fight it she doesn't fear it but she has a great deal of empathy for other people and creatures as well.

Any Warnings: Maria's home village was raided when she was a child and her parents killed during said raid. She likely does have some traumatic memories of that but it isn't something she speaks of in-depth ever.

Present Life:
In Deerington? She's just getting settled in at the moment. The forest, both the one reached via the catbus and the ordinary one, intrigue her a great deal. She'd love to explore them more in-depth once she has a horse (and I assume from the current event she might end up with one, I still need to tag around). Likewise Maria is all about learning more about the native wildlife here and maybe befriending the deer? Who knows.

Future Ideas:
For the past year Maria's more or less focused only on finding Richter. During her trip through the castle and afterward she's even developed some tentative feelings for everyone's favorite stoic dhampir too. Deerington is a time of thinking on all of that, processing it and so on as well as realizing she likely won't wake up at home in time to keep said dhampir from taking a good ol' nap.

It's a lot for her to quietly consider and as she does I'd love for her to eventually take a shine to others here.

Maria's circle of friends and family has always been small. I'd love to see her make more friends and aid others, perhaps even form a tentative crush here or there in time. If she's looking to aid people and explore the wilderness and even closer to the mountains, maybe you'd be interested in a plot where she discovers Floyd stuck in some sort of bloody trap, or... ? Towards the end of the month the drug/potion that lets him stay human will start getting a little wonky per Deerington's terms, and well, it might find him a little more vulnerable than usual. About This Character: Sweeney is a gross old leprechaun. In the show, he uses slurs and the c-word a lot, so I've dialed him back a bit. He's also talking to children, so that's different. But what we have here, is a curmudgeon who's been around the block a few times. He's got a lucky coin that occasionally kicks in and gives him a good situation (that's why I think he got the Mayor's Ring!!) Which btw, he has the Mayor's Ring, it's got tentacles coming out of it.
Any Warnings: Alcoholism, amnesia (he's very old, ok), a lot of cursing... murder.

Present Life: Gwen's player should be posting something about how they're throwing together a Fight Club. Other than that, he has no romantic prospects but definitely wouldn't mind something casual to keep his mind off Laura. Laura, being the dead girl he murdered and accidentally brought back to life. Future Ideas: I think I want to kill him soon. I'm kind of staying out of this month's plot, no reason other than I'm run down a little bit, but maybe soon. Day to Day Activities: Barry is eating his way through Deerington. Like, he's literally doing this. April was all about tacos, May is I have no freaking idea. When he's not doing that, he's at the bookstore speed reading, people-watching, and walking around.

The Flash is active in Deerington, so you're welcome to see streaks of golden/yellow all throughout town at any point during the day and night! The Flash does seem to hit up Clarke Acres a lot… I wonder why… 👀

About This Character: Barry is a literal golden retriever puppy. He's very positive, has a really good and intoxicating vibe about him, and he is just literal sunshine. He's deeply traumatised by the murder of his mother at the hands of his arch-nemesis, Eobard Thawne, who is a man centuries into the future who took being a super stan of the Flash a little too far. Barry is a do-gooder and someone who wants to help people, and will do everything in his power to do that. He is emotionally constipated, but he hides it well. He is the best person to have on your team.

Debbie Downer stuff: He's from 5x01 where he just meets his daughter and learns he is gone from her life (and from Iris' for 25 years) after he vanishes in the Crisis, so he's dealing with his guilt and abandonment issues, which is pretty hard for someone who kind of hasn't been able to deal with his own trauma since he was 11 years old. He is still dealing with his parents' murders and his own guilt over feeling responsible for it. Barry does feel very insecure about being the Flash because he doesn't think he's good enough. 8(

Any Warnings: Permissions post. | PTSD: parent murder, time travel bullshit, survivor's guilt, abandonment issues and trust issues; psychological trauma; murder; catfishing???; and the Flash's timeline because what the fuck, guys.

Present Life: Barry kind of just got here, but he got to explore the Enchanted Forest, eat a shitload of tacos and convert some people, and he spent April-May hanging out with the firefly version of Nora all the while not really dealing with the bigger issue at hand, which is her coming back to the past to meet him. He also did get to hang out with his mom, which isn't particularly abnormal.

He's getting super bored, so he's building a speed track on his farmhouse property and is training wrt his speed! You can always catch him buying wood and tools if you want a SOL hook in. He does have McSnurtle (his turtle) and G.I.D.E.O.N. (his artificial intelligence) with him! G.I.D.E.O.N. is at his house and is pretty much... managing his household affairs, thanks honey.

He also seems to wear a different converse shoe a day.

The Flash and Barry also have separate fluids! This is important to note because I want to try and get two different cr circles for them (and one that overlaps).

Day to Day Activities: As a point-and-click protagonist, Arid spends most of her time wandering around Deerington and looking at/poking everything. Her apartment is full of random junk she picks up because it might be useful later.

About This Character: Arid is an AI installed inside a mechanized combat suit; think JARVIS from Iron Man, but in a galaxy where AI are treated like crap. Unfortunately for Arid and everyone around her, her owner was a particular breed of jackass that believed the best way to control AI was through terror and decided to use Arid as an experimental proof-of-concept for this idea. His influence led her to do a bunch of awful things to other AI (plus one human) and she is now attempting to, in her own words, "redeem herself." That said, she hates humanity at large and not only feels no remorse about what she did to her one human victim, but also would still sell most humans to Satan for one corn chip. And she doesn't even eat.

Any Warnings: Arid’s backstory includes themes of abuse, brainwashing, and rape. Her canon at large includes themes of slavery and mentions of sex trafficking.

Present Life: Arid generally prefers the company of other synthetic beings and has thus been making connections with the handful of those in Deerington. She has also been getting to know humans aside from her former owner for the first time, to mixed results. She has decided that a handful of individual humans are pretty okay, but is still majorly distrustful of the rest. She's also just been trying to learn more about Deerington in general, with the vague hope that she might eventually find a way to escape.
Future Ideas: I'd like Arid to get a job at some point, mostly just so she can be really bewildered by the concept of having money and buying things. I also want her to pick up some hobbies. The trouble is, Arid needs to be convinced that developing new skills and trying new things is relevant to her redemption arc. If someone can convince her of that, she’d be game to try anything.

CR You Want: I’m down for anything, but here are some particular themes I have in mind!

1. Negative CR: Arid is a very easy person to clash with. She can be very callous and antagonistic towards humans, and reacts violently to any perceived attempts to control her. She’s already made one major enemy in-game and I’d be happy to add to that tally :)

2. Extremely patient mentors: As I mentioned before, Arid has great potential to learn new skills and try new things if she can be convinced that doing so will help her morally better herself. If you have a character who is passionate enough about their skills to convince her of their moral worth, we should talk!

About This Character: Brianna is a former child soldier with super speed. She's tenacious and has had to deal with a lot of shit in her short life, but typically presents as cheerful and witty. She's definitely a chaotic dumbass. Her identity is very focused on her powers, to the point where she believes without them no one would care about her. Lately in Deerington she's started coming to terms with the fact that she is dead back home, and the fact that she thinks she likes girls romantically.
Any Warnings: Brianna's canon deals heavily with violence against children, child death, and generally horrible things happening to children. I'll always endeavor to warn people I'm threading with before these things come up in a tag, but it's a huge part of her past, so avoiding it entirely will be difficult. If this stuff is a hard no for you, let me know and we can try to work something out.

Present Life: Like I said above, Brianna has started coming to terms with both the fact that she's dead at home and the fact that she likes girls romantically! Otherwise she's just hanging out, making her friends do dumb shit, etc.
