Character Name: Varian Age: 16 Employment in Deerington: High school student and he works at Katherine's apothecary Residence in Deerington: #25 Raccoon Alley Day to Day Activities: He goes to school EVERY DAY because the little weirdo actually loves it- and of course, spends quite a bit of time at the apothecary. Otherwise, he's a pretty anti-social creature, he spends most of his time in his basement lab at home. When he can be dragged out into the light of day he can be found at the library or the junkyard - for learning and finding things to build stuff with.
About This Character: A teenage alchemist with a mind that's firing way too many cylinders at once. Varian is obsessed with a Capital O about science and spends most of his time creating potions and machines to try and make the world a better place. He grudgingly knows a bit about magic, too- only because his world is chock full of it and his weirdo friends keep dragging him into their magical adventures. Science is superior though, prove him wrong!! He's a reformed villain- having a rough patch in the middle there that he categorically will try to avoid talking about. He has a desperate need for praise and validation so if you give him that he will literally walk through fire for you. He's a righteous little shit who always thinks he's the smartest person in the room- but does genuinely want to do good in the world. He's often accompanied by his semi-sentient raccoon, Ruddiger. Rapunzel also left him Max- they HATE each other so feel free to witness a raccoon and a horse screaming unintelligible animal noises at one another around town. Any Warnings: Varian has an absolute shed-load of self-loathing issues. The whole Former Disney Villain thing weighs heavy on him and he has a massive guilt complex about it. It's deeply unlikely he'll bring it up, but if he does there's parental magical not-death, kidnapping, drugging, attempted murder, prison and an attempted suicide mission.
Present Life: Varian's had a real bad few months. The labyrinth showed off his memories to people he didn't especially want knowing his past to, the rumours added to that and it all culminated in him getting the Ultimate Betrayer in July and him falling completely off the Disney Villain wagon. He's spending July stomping around with giant robots, slaughtering townspeople and stabbing the people he cares about in the back. On the 20th, he's going to die via Monokuma trial and when he comes back with deathflu have the guilt following him around. He has a toplevel here if anyone wants in on that. He's also coming to terms with his bisexuality and trying to deal with setting his relationship with Ruby on fire and repressing all his Fern feelings- frankly, he's doing great in the teen romance department by making a mess of everything. Future Ideas: He's going to be VERY avoidant throughout August. He won't show up for school or work and basically hide himself away while his self-loathing takes on whole new levels. Depending on what August's plot is, he might end up coming out to help people, but his usual day-to-day activities will find him noticeably absent. Please drag him outside.
CR You Want: Anyone! Varian is a weird kid who's friends back home are almost all adults, so he gets on with adults better than he does people his own age. That said, he's finally getting used to having other teen friends, please help him be a normal teenager, he has no idea how to do that. He's probably the easiest of mine to get negative CR from, so if you want that, go for it. He's a shit.
