About This Character: Application

Charles is a pretty decent guy who's been through some properly horrific shit and now he doesn't fully know where to go from here. While he can be genuinely compassionate and caring, something is fundamentally broken inside him and being in Deerington means he has less reason to conceal it like he did in Oakmont. Being ex-Navy and also deeply depressed, Charles has a tendency to be self-sacrificial but he also has no problem killing people standing in his way, often with little to no hesitation. The world is horrible and morality is a muddy gray.

Any Warnings: Permanent warnings for 1920s racism, mental illness, psychological and physical torture, severe hallucinations, suicide by gunshot, drug addiction and so much murder.

Present Life: Charles current to do list is 1) recover from death flu and 2) recover from opiate addiction, so there's not a whole lot going on right now.

Future Ideas: As soon as he's stopped shitting himself, it's over for you bitches.

No, seriously, once he's doing a little better I'd like him to be more involved in the community - he'll most likely start up a detective agency at least as a side business and using his retrocognition for something helpful rather than finding altars to Dagon will be a nice change of pace. I'd also like him to be more involved in the Deerington investigation efforts, something he's touched upon a little bit but didn't really commit to.

CR You Want: Aaaaanything — pals! Drinking pals! Sobriety pals! Casual acquaintances that can talk to him about addiction or sexuality or any of the other things he's entirely unequipped to talk about! I would love to see people trying to hook up with him because I have no idea what that would even look like! Also assorted Chosen Ones, the Demonically Possessed, or other victims of Lovecraftian adjacent shenanigans.
