Character Name: Elias Bouchard
Age: Um…We’ll say late fourties, early fifties (we would be way, way wrong, but let’s just go with it)
Employment in Deerington: N/A
Residence in Deerington: Blackwood Run
Day to Day Activities: Elias has just arrived, and currently is trying to get some idea of the land, the people, the archetype. He is a watcher and an information gatherer at his core, and if he amasses enough, he might (will) be able to use it in some way.

About This Character: Elias comes off as a typical boss, a bureaucratic stick who wants all the holiday forms filled out correctly before approving them. He will listen and tell you what to do, what not to do, and feign some idea of caring when he truly doesn’t. You – a collective you – are simply tools to get what he wants, and he’s had a long, long time to perfect how to make that happen.
Any Warnings: Manipulation, Murder, Apocalypse, Scopophobia, Mental/Emotional Abuse, Body Horror. You know, the usual.

Present Life: Elias came from a place where he was on top, where he had everything he wanted, so this is…disappointing to say the least. His relationship with his employees is ~~nonexistent~~ strained, and he wants nothing more than to go back and pick up where he left off. By any means necessary, of course.
Future Ideas: I am open to anything!

Elias is one of my favorite characters in TMA so I'm very happy we have one in Deerington now! :D I play Arid here, an AI who has quickly become one of Deerington's top Jonathan-Sims-haters after he tried to compel her right out of the gate, later apologized, and then... turned the Watcher's gaze on her a few months later.

She might dislike Elias for being associated with Jon or like him for making Jon miserable. Maybe both? She's killing Jon at the end of July so I figure that might get Elias's attention 👀

Elias is the worst and I love him so much! :D I hope I do him justice!

I heard about the end of the month murder! It definitely will get his attention as he has plans for his archivist (mostly after they get out of here), and death doesn't really work with that. But knowing someone that can subvert his powers... it's very telling for him, allows him to shore up on his own weaknesses and gives him some ideas if Jon tries to go after him.

Arid, Elias is going to want to meet you, even if you do remind him of the Stranger.

Post might make more sense, since Elias might not have as much reason to approach Arid until she kills his Archivist! If it's okay with Rona, I'll gladly grant Elias permission to Know about the circumstances of Jon's death.

Belatedly: Elias has blanket permission to Know everything Jon does in Deer just to make his life inconvenient, so I'm game for this.

Hello!! I'm very excited to see Elias here and would love to toss Fern at him. He stabbed Jon recently after Jon went Ultimate Archivist on him and had a good look at the small eldritch octopus-spider that makes up half his mind.

He also saw a memory of Martin's involving Elias talking to Martin about his mother (around the end of season 3), so he's aware of Elias but only as "terrifying guy who wrecked Extremely Nice Person Martin Blackwood's mind." He hasn't talked to any of the TMA crew about him beyond that, really.

Yes, please! Toss away! Jon does have a way of just rudely invading where he isn't wanted, doesn't he? (As if Elias doesn't do the same thing. He's just better at it.)

And Martin is not as innocent as you think he is, Fern. But don't worry, Elias would be more than happy to tell you that.

Cool! I'll be hitting up Jon's trial (he's going to be salty his incident isn't included as evidence), so that might be a good way to start something.

Trust Elias, Fern; Jon has so many crimes that for the sake of time, he's fairly certain at least a dozen or so are being left out.
