Mod Announcements + Overall Feedback

Greetings

Hello everyone! Hope you have enjoyed the second month of Deerington! You all have been wonderful in this game and have truly created a great gaming experience.

This is an exciting announcement because there are many new things constructed for a deeper, more thorough game experience as well as some updates that some of you may find useful!

Unfortunately due to IRL circumstances for all the mods, we did not get around to making all the new pages we were hoping to fully update by the end of this month. However, these pages will be updated within the next couples of weeks hopefully and the game Plurk and Discord will both be updated when they are completed!

You can look forward to the following pages to be updated/created with current information:

➟ Bestiary. This is mostly up to date: we just need to upload a few more monsters from recent events as well as adding some new ones!

➟ Power Warping Information. This page is mostly done. We are simply clarifying and figuring out some remaining details. A HUGE thank you to the players who have allowed us to use their applications for examples for other people to look at for what power warping for this game looks like.

➟ Plot Questions. This page will be for questions asked that have to do with more specific encounters in the game that don't quite fit the FAQ page. This page will take a while to neatly compile, so we appreciate your patience.

New Pages

➟ Deerington Calendar: We now have a game calendar! This will help with the overall organization of the game as well as keep players and potential future players up to date on what they can expect. This calendar will be updated routinely to reflect changes in the game.

➟ Mount Rheum Locations: We have made a page detailing the unique locations and nature of Mount Rheum. There is also a list of the current monsters known on Mount Rheum. This may be updated at a later date.

➟ Unlocked Locations: Since a lot of Deerington is based on exploration, we have combed through all the current locations in game and made it clear which ones can be "unlocked" (such as the third floor in Harren Hospital). All such unlocked locations' information will be uploaded to this page when they have been requested by a player. The third floor unlock does not need to be requested as it was already technically requested via players through the player plot. All future unlocks will have to be requested on this page. This will ensure consistent information dispersed among players.

Updated Information

➟ Plotting Posts will be handled differently in conjunction with game events. Both will be posted at the same time, but the game event itself will be dated for a couple days after these have been posted. This will hopefully allow players a bit of breathing room to plot for events without feeling like they need to scramble to make top levels and the like.

We are hoping that this helps! If players still feel like they need some more plotting room, we are open to discussing different tactics for the future. For now, we will try this out and hope it helps. Thank you!

➟ F.E.A.R has a weapons inventory now. This inventory can be found on the F.E.A.R page itself. There is now also a comments section where players can make it known how characters are handling the limited weapons as well as what supernatural creatures may be in holding. Anyone apart of F.E.A.R may add another top-level if they feel relevant (maybe someone thinks that it should be known who is in the medic bay and for what- we left this mostly open ended so players could choose how immersive they would like this experience to be).

We have also updated the information on how many people can enter F.E.A.R at a time and whether or not non-F.E.A.R members can enter. A F.E.A.R member can bring in non-members or supernatural creatures by giving the door more blood to allow a longer time for the door to be open. The blood still must come from a member of F.E.A.R though. You cannot break into the headquarters unless you are capable of replicating someone's blood down to a cellular level.

➟ As we allow a bit of futuretagging in this game, we have set a limit to how far in the future you can date your logs. This is simply to allow people an extension of time they can play with. This is particularly helpful since time doesn't work all that normally in Deerington. We have agreed that players cannot plan for anything more than two weeks into the future. This is purely due to the occasionally severe circumstances of in-game events and the fact that certain events may put Deerington in an odd state that might interfere with future threads.

Reminders

➟ Test Drives are every other month which means the next Test Drive Meme will be on July 1st. Threads from the Test Drive Meme can be used for application samples as well as activity.

➟ You are allowed to post memes into Soddersays such as the heart meme or whatever sort of fun memes you may want to throw around. We are putting up CR memes every other month unless the game gets a bit more saturated with activity and then we will do monthly CR memes.
