[His sweet tooth is greatly overshadowed by his love for Xingchen and Zichen. But the candies bring back good memories...and bad ones. He likes seeing Xingchen so at peace beside him again.]

Oh! [His baby Fathier has found them and is nudging his knee. Setting the candy aside, Xue Yang lifts her up and settles her in his lap.]

Bo, are you hungry?

[ Love is better than sweets!

Xingchen draws in a startled breath at the Fathier's appearance, then smiles softly at her. ]

If she is, I can get her some food while you give her attention.

[Bo is as black as Wuye and she peeks up at Xingchen curiously. There is something inherently sweet about her face - which might explain the name Xue Yang chose for her.]

Would you mind, Daozhang? I keep her grains and fruit in the pantry. Just put them in a little bowl.

[ She is well named~ And beautiful. Xingchen frees his hand and stands. ]

I do not mind.

[ He moves off to the kitchen for a bowl, then the pantry for the fruit and grains in question. He's back a moment later and reclaims his seat right beside Xue Yang, offering the bowl to sweet Bo. ]

Here you go, sweet one.

[Xue Yang loves her long ears in particular! They get plenty of kisses and nuzzles while they wait for Xingchen.]

You're such a good girl!

[The little sounds she makes are known to him now. She always tells him when she's hungry! When Xingchen returns with the bowl, Bo dips her head and eats happily, her ears wiggling in her delight.]

Maul says all three of us can ride on her back when she's full grown.

[ They are beautiful ears~ He stifles the giggles as he watches and listens. Then reaches out to rub a gentle hand along her head and back. ]

She is. Oh? That will be quite a sight!

[Bo hums lowly, musically, peeking up at them between bites. Her fur is so soft and Xue Yang can't resist stroking over her back and sides too.]

Fathiers get...really big. She won't fit in the house unless we make adjustments. But they're fast. So if anything happens in this area of Deerington, she can get us out in a flash.

[ Xingchen smiles, continuing to stroke over soft fur. ]

We'll make a comfortable home for her when she outgrows the house.

With how cute she can be, I may end up sleeping outside with her!

[Xue Yang purposefully strokes over Xingchen's hand too.]

She would keep you warm, too.

[ He wouldn't blame anyone for sleeping cuddled up to her! The stroke over his hand has his cheeks pink but he only smiles. ]

I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to snuggle with her.

Can you believe that there is a planet where Fathiers are abused? [His expression falls and he cuddles the little girl to his chest.]

Here, Daozhang. [Xue Yang lifts the baby into Xingchen's arms for a nice warm hug.] She'll make you smile, I know it~

[ The idea visibly has Xingchen upset, so when Xue Yang places the sweet baby into his arms, he immediately wraps her up in a gentle, warm hug, pressing his cheek to her fur. ]

That will not happen with her.

[It upsets him too! Poor babies being whipped and made to entertain. If anyone so much as comes near Bo with a whip, he will beat them senseless.]

No, it won't. That was part of why Maul wished for some pups.

[He grins at how Bo quickly snuggles against Xingchen, settling with a happy sigh. Her belly is full and she is warm.]

[ Her warmth helps soothe the ache in his heart at how her kind are treated. He presses a kiss to the top of her head. ]

I will be sure to thank him for such kindness. And that he thought to give her a home with you.

[His face flushes with heat and he has to duck his head to get control of himself. Seeing Xingchen so...snuggled...with a sweet little animal makes the urge to kiss him almost impossible to resist!]

When he told me about them, I wished I could have one. He remembered and asked for a black one.

[He lifts his head again and gently touches Xingchen's cheek with his fingertips.]

I like to imagine that every time I'm nice to her, the other Fathiers benefit too.

[ Darn!

Xingchen settles Bo back in his lap, though his arms remain curled gently around her and rubbing over her sweet ears. His gaze is fixed on her, marveling at the things he's being told. ]

I am glad for it, Xue Yang. And that you have such a good friend in Maul - I like him too.

[ The touch to his cheek has him look up and smile. ]

He is protective of you.

Yes - even if only Bo is cared for as they should be, it is a good thing.

[His Daozhang is perfect. Xue Yang's heart can only take so much! The mention of Maul has him smiling and his thumb brushes over Xingchen's cheekbone.]

He... He is? Have you talked to him about me?

[That's really cute to imagine! He can't stand it a moment longer. With a happy hum, he presses a kiss flush against Xingchen's lips. Bo's ears wiggle, somehow fluttering against them both. What? They're big ears!]

[ The rub of thumb over his cheek has him flush, but he doesn't pull away. ]

...Yes. He does not want me to hurt you again.

I don't- [ 'plan to', he means to say, but he's being kissed! Shame, Xue Yang! His blush darkens as he draws in a quick breath. But then...shyly...clumsily...tries to reciprocate. Only to end up giggling at the fuzzy ear wiggling against his cheek! ]

[He's glad he goes in for the kiss. The topic Maul and Xingchen discussed makes him feel...so many things. He has never had anyone really give a damn about him.

The soft flutter of Bo's ear makes him chuckle too and he nuzzles their lips together, grinning, before kissing Xingchen again. Why shouldn't he?]

Mmm you've never hurt me. [It was...the opposite.]

[ He's still so new to kisses! But he does like them, even if he feels inadequate. And the nuzzling! It makes his heart flutter and a shiver run through him. But the second one he manages to return a little better before pulling back to look down at sweet Bo. Mostly because he doesn't really know quite how to feel about Xue Yang. Just that he has hope. ]

I think he meant...by leaving again.

[They don't have to think when they're kissing, right? That's one of the reasons Xue Yang loves it. Besides the mere wonderful sensation of snuggling close to his beloved Daozhang and tasting his sweet lips.

He contains a small sigh and rubs over Bo's cheek. She is making cute sounds!]

Everything...hurts...when you leave me.
