A DOOR HAS OPENED IN DEERINGTON....

A DOOR HAS BEEN OPENED

Your characters have made their decisions and the final votes have been calculated. This post will provide some general details about some of the things you can anticipate in Chapter 2.

While we understand that many of you might have immediate questions, we strongly urge everyone to wait until the full game is revealed so that you can see everything in motion and how it works before asking heavy world-building questions. If there are any casual questions in the meantime, we'll do our best to answer!

Thank you to everyone who voted and thank you to all of our players who have stayed with us until the finale! We know it can be hard pushing through these phases of a game and we genuinely appreciate everyone's support and excitement. We are pumped for the next chapter!

THE FLESH DOOR HAS BEEN OPENED

This will be the remaining setting of Deerington for June, July, August. Deerington will have completely vanished by September 1st. Characters will either have vanished with it, gone home, or gone to the new setting.

On June 1st, it's as if a blanket is thrown over the entire town. Sudden darkness washes throughout the streets and everything becomes entirely still. Animals stop moving and even creatures in the mist fall silent. Everything is holding its breath: and then they come. Floating lazily through the air, fleshy eggs present themselves in front of every single Sleeper. The egg does nothing at all, just hovers, hovers, and then suddenly...It bursts. If you weren't thinking fast, you probably have a face full of blood. This is accompanied by the ominous sound of a single door clicking open...And you have a pretty good feeling of what one it was.

The Flesh Door has been opened. By the time you clean your face and clothes off, you will discover that the fog has completely receded and with it - most of the monsters. You might find one or two lingering about, but mostly, the world is silent now. The sun is gone...And instead, there are three full moons shining up above: a dull purple moon, a dull green moon, and a brilliant red moon. Where the mountain had split, you can now see the pulsing of behemoth organs from within, blood trickling down the mountain like small rivers, but thankfully going dry before they even reach the woods.

The sky has been completely torn apart. Among the tears in the sky, you can see skies of other worlds, of the Great Sleep, shifting in and out, never staying long enough to make contact with. The Great Sleep is no longer accessible at this point, but you can see its telltale tendrils of white lights and shadowy streaks curling out of the sky’s tears.

Clocks everywhere have stopped. Fluids work sparingly, but at least you can still get a decent signal if you stand in the right place. Everything is quiet and you realize why: there are no animals either. No birds, no deer, no dogs. Nothing except maybe the pets you have accumulated at this time.

Deerington has truly become a ghost town.

At this time, those who try to go to the Mother Door will discover it has been completely grown over with moss and thorns. If you go to the Child Door, you will discover it has been completely grown over with thick, glowing crystals. If you go to the Flesh Door...Well, you can't right now. But going to the Flesh Falls sinkhole will show that red, blood-filled vines have begun to curl out from it, covering the nearby buildings. If you went to visit the actual Flesh Door, you would see that it is indeed slightly ajar, and you would be able to hear the roar of an ocean from the other side...But try and approach right now and you'll just be pushed back by some invisible force and told in a soft, whispering voice:

Not quite yet. It must be opened the rest of the way first. But in time, you will come to Trench. Fear not, Sleeper, for the nightmare has ended. Reality begins anew - and so shall you. May you find your worth in the Waking World.

Welcome to your new home away from home, Sleepers: the city of Trench.

But before we get to all that...What happened to the NPCs?

Julia Sodder (SACRIFICE - WORST ROUTE - DIES): Julia Sodder has been sacrificed. Sacrificing Julia ultimately means accepting her as the monster people have believed her to be. She is tied to the reputation of the nightmare she has created, the blood she has shed, and the terror she has caused others. This is Sodder's guilt and this guilt has infested the new world with new, violent monsters and is so pungent it has impacted the very blood of the creatures that walk upon this new earth. While Sodder does not survive, the spirit of her fear and anxieties does, and it might be why the world of the Flesh Door is so terrifying. Julia being sacrificed would have greatly increased the violence and degree of monsters in any of the worlds, but especially the Flesh World since she has always struggled the most with her Pthumerian instincts, appearance, and abilities.

Cynthia Sodder (SACRIFICE - BEST ROUTE - REBORN): Sacrificing Cynthia from her spiritual cage of being trapped as the mother of the girl who died, the monster who ended the world, is truly the kindest fate for Cynthia. While she did wish to be killed, she also wished to be more than a mother - she wanted to be seen for who she truly is...And that just so happens to be a Pthumerian, a protector, something that can influence widely. She will thus be reincarnated into the new world as its moon presence, carrying on her legacy, but without the tragedy of her own story. She will be freed from her memories of failure, of losing her daughter and watch over Sleepers from the night sky. Although not a Patron Pthumerian, she will have a prominent presence in this world through her swaying of the moon. She may even be the reason other Pthumerians are willing to watch out for Sleepers...Her love for Sleepers will be intense and it seems that despite not wanting to be a mother anymore, her maternal instincts are powerful and will resonate with her new dream children: you. This will also lead to Cynthia helping Sleepers during the final confrontation with Mother Superior in June's Companion Event.

The Mayor (SACRIFICE - BEST ROUTE - REBORN ): In the Mayor's opinion, he had wish he sacrificed everything for his Child. Everything for his family...But in the end, he didn't sacrifice enough and he's aware of it. In many ways, sacrificing the Mayor is freeing him as he feels responsible for what happened to his family and feels maybe he deserves to be sacrificed. That he has deserved to be sacrificed for a long time. He misses his family and some part of him simply wants to go to where he thinks they are. Sacrificing the Mayor gentles his soul and if he is sacrificed, he is reborn into the new world as a unique spirit who offers protection and guardianship to vulnerable people, especially children. This is the Mayor's Second Chance - and his soul will do with it what he had failed to do in his previous life. He will not remember his family, but he will remember his regret and his love. Punishment in some ways but perhaps redemption in other ways.

Mother Superior (SACRIFICE - BACKFIRED ROUTE - REBORN): Mother Superior saw reality and time bend and snap, and she knew how to manipulate Sleepers into believing that sacrificing her would be the same as killing her. In reality, awakening her would kill her, but sacrificing her would bring her renewed power and let her live...After all, she's a Pthumerian with abilities centric to violence, destruction, chaos. What better way to give her power than through several dozen blood sacrifices of her own egg? She depended solely on Sleeper having gut-reaction hatred towards her, always wanting to prove Sleepers that they are just as hateful as she figured they are. The sacrifice gives her an enormous power boost... But not in the way she's going to anticipate. Mother Superior will be reborn along with the other Sleepers into the new world...But as the rawest version of her compassion, the goodness that she once held. She will be known as Mother Mercy and serve as one of the Patron Pthumerians. She will, ironically, be contorted by the universe into a better version of herself. Perhaps the version of herself that she once was before the Pthumerians left their land...

The Dog Keeper (AWAKEN - BEST ROUTE- THE DOG KEEPER SURVIVES): The Dog Keeper has been surviving in and out of this specific world nonstop. He has been indefinitely trapped by the nightmare of Deerington, however, and has been limited in how he can exist in both worlds. Waking him up helps him to be permanently returned to his real body in his own reality, and he will be glad and eager to help the Sleepers survive in the new world. The Dog Keeper's tact and kindness may be why some parts of the new world are so livable despite the harsh and violent horrors of the Waking World. The Dog Keeper is in large part responsible for why society had developed so gracefully after the nightmare - you can thank him for the working communication devices. He has become immortalized at this point but is grateful for it as, being awake, he feels he can truly help people. Even if the Child Door does not open, the Dog Keeper will manage to be clever and helpful in any new world if he wakes up.

Ramona Derwin (AWAKEN - BACKFIRED ROUTE - RAMONA SURVIVES): Ramona has been serving as the connection between layers, life and death, dream and reality for God knows how many years now, using up every ounce of her power again and again. Every time a Sleeper dies, she was there to bring them back. She has solely fueled the deer of the world, maintained the layers within the dream to keep it from collapsing, and there is only so much one hero can truly do. Waking Ramona up does ultimately lead to her survival...But not in any way she would have anticipated. The Dream has completely fried Ramona, leaving her in a permanent comatose state - ironically quite similar to the one Julia had been forced into. Ramona's powers will completely disconnect from Sleepers which Sleepers will realize as their tattoos gradually vanish. They will be able to realize that Ramona had put those tattoos there as a way of "sealing" them into the dream and into her specific cycle of immortality. The tattoos can gradually disappear over time or disappear immediately. Death will now become permanent in that Sleepers will die and go back to their own world, die and wake up in the new one...Or just...actually die. This will lead to a unique role for Ramona in the second chapter.

Sleeper (AWAKEN - BEST - REBORN): May you find your worth in the Waking World... Sleepers are the guardians of reality and have been living a dream for the past several years. It was always their destiny to wake up, whether in the new world or their homeworld. This is considered the bravest of the options for Sleepers as it poses the greatest risk. To die is a big adventure, but to wake up and return to reality where anything could happen, where any world could be on the other side of the door, where they could wake up to a new, worse nightmare? That is the kind of bravery even stories could not hope to replicate. That is the bravery of living on. Choosing to wake up will greatly enhance the likelihood of Sleepers seeing into their near future, will essentially awaken their "souls" and allow them to understand that they can go on to the next life without damaging their old life. Sleepers will have an innate understanding that it is okay to move on, that their world will remain the same, that people will not miss them for they won't even know they are gone, and that they can now live a new life. They can be reborn.

VOTE TOTALS AND WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN...

We had a total of 148 votes towards the doors and NPCs! Thank you to everyone who voted. The calculations below include the subtracted changed votes.

So what was the actual count for the votes and what did your character's choices even mean? Why were they connected to certain doors? Glad you asked! We'll show you all the unique orders that would have unlocked what doors - and we'll show you the end result of all your decisions! Or in some cases, what your decision would have meant if it had gotten the most votes!

Characters can be made aware of these possible what-ifs through visions/dreams even if characters aren't usually prone to prophecies.

THE FLESH DOOR: OPENED

Julia Sodder (SACRIFICE) - CHOSEN FATE: 70
Cynthia Sodder (SACRIFICE) - CHOSEN FATE: 84
The Mayor (DO NOTHING): 23
Mother Superior (SACRIFICE)- CHOSEN FATE: 76
The Dog Keeper (SACRIFICE): 14
Ramona Derwin (DO NOTHING): 35
Sleeper (AWAKEN)- CHOSEN FATE: 65
TOTAL VOTES TOWARDS DOOR: 367

REASONS
The Mayor (DO NOTHING - WORST ROUTE - ETERNAL PUNISHMENT): The Mayor's feelings of fear towards the unknown of his own family have always been represented through the tentacles he's known for summoning. These tentacles are reminiscent of the oceanic tides his wife's lineage comes from. The Mayor has always felt helpless and as if he can truly do nothing for his wife or child, that he could do nothing to protect the citizens of his town. That at the very end, when he needed to do something, all he did was wait alone in his home for someone else to make the changes for him. Voting to Do Nothing with the Mayor's eggs is subjecting the Mayor to his own worst crime eternally. His soul will be trapped in the nightmare, forever in his house watching his hometown burn, again and again, reliving the night his daughter died again and again. There will be no salvation. No one will be left to hear his screams of agony. His soul rots and it might just rot right through into your new reality as something terrifying...

The Dog Keeper (SACRIFICE - WORST ROUTE - DIES): The Dog Keeper was the flame of hope and good in Deerington and he had only ever wanted to keep Sleepers, Wastes, and innocent life safe. To ultimately have his life be thrown into the hands of Sleepers who wish to sacrifice him is a fate worse than death. What strange magic has kept the Dog Keeper alive was founded in his unwavering hope and desire to survive, but contrasting that with Sleepers who didn't care enough to save him turns that hope inside out, fracturing the Dog Keeper's soul, break his spirit, and he would not survive through to the new world. Sacrificing the Dog Keeper would lead to a world with extremely hostile canines, beasts who miss their master and wonder for the rest of eternity where his soul has gone.

Ramona Derwin (DO NOTHING - BACKFIRED ROUTE - ETERNAL PUNISHMENT):
Ramona had originally been summoned to Deerington by Julia on the account of Julia feeling like no one in her town was doing anything to help her. There would be a cruel irony in choosing to do nothing for the woman who tried to do everything and for her own kind, Sleepers, to ultimately abandon her, in the end, would fracture what remains of her soul. But unlike the Dog Keeper, her magic would keep her tied to the world as a vengeful spirit that inspires immense hostility between Sleepers when it is near. Death would be especially violent in this world as Ramona directly kept Sleepers immortal for as long as she did and in many ways, she was why Sleepers experienced a "gentler" reincarnation. This would be Ramona's own worst nightmare as she would hate to become a creature Julia once would have feared.

THE CHILD DOOR

The setting of this door would have been a small, seclusive town known as Hollow which sat in the heart of a desert Grand Canyon-style area. This town would have been surrounded by complex tunnel systems Sleepers could use to their advantage to escape monsters and keep to a safe underground network when the going got going. This world would have embraced a Mad Max, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Stephen King sort of aesthetic and themes.

Sleepers would have been reborn as a birdlike creature. Their arrival would have been them plummeting to the earth like a meteor and waking up in the sand dunes beyond Hollow. They would become humanoid once more and shed their new wings to reclaim their new life.

This world's power system was centric to bones. Bones that support current life but bones to be buried after death. The Dog Keeper buried more bodies than he could care to remember, bones upon bones, and Ramona herself depended on bones of deer and other monsters to create powerful weapons out of. As the world became a desert wasteland, the number of bones began to scatter in greater numbers across the dunes, becoming a new resource of trade and power as it became increasingly more difficult to find anything else. As the world began to restore itself and Sodder's power began to reshape it along with Sleeper choices, bones began to hold a greater significance, and magic became attached to bones. This eventually led to a unique magic system based on different types of bones: Hollow Bones, Pressurized Bones, Brittle Bones, Heavy Bones, and Fluid Bones.

The animal guides of this world would have been known as Guardians, protectors of Sleepers. These animals would have been the most realistic acting/appearing of the animal guides and would have aided Sleepers in survival skills and protection.

The roles would have been: Gunslinger (Fighter), Medicore (Healer), Theorist (Academic), Votary (Faith-Based), Pioneer (Creator), and Night Walker (Comfort - and same title across the board for all options as it is suggested the Night Walkers exist in all universes and timelines).

Julia Sodder (DO NOTHING): 17
Cynthia Sodder (DO NOTHING): 13
The Mayor (SACRIFICE) - CHOSEN FATE: 64
Mother Superior (AWAKEN): 44
The Dog Keeper (AWAKEN)- CHOSEN FATE: 113
Ramona Derwin (AWAKEN)- CHOSEN FATE: 58
Sleeper (DO NOTHING): 17
TOTAL VOTES TOWARDS DOOR: 326

REASONS
Julia Sodder (DO NOTHING - BACKFIRED ROUTE - DIES): This is the most genuine reflection of what was actually done for Julia back in her original life: the majority of people did nothing at all. She is the Child that was abandoned, isolated, left behind. Most of Deerington was forged out of her feelings of isolation. The reason for Sleepers existing in the first place was from feelings of loneliness and helplessness - even with Cynthia as her mother. She needed more and to have her own Sleepers abandon her...Now that's a fate worse than death. Abandonment is Julie's worst nightmare and that correlates directly to the Child Door being heavily influenced by psychologically based abilities.

Cynthia Sodder (DO NOTHING - BACKFIRED ROUTE - DIES): Do nothing...or be nothing. Cynthia loved her daughter, but she was trapped by being a mother, by the expectations of a woman with a Child. The Child. She could never be more than Julia's mother, not to their neighbors, not to her own husband, and maybe not even to Sleepers. For Cynthia, Sleepers choosing to do nothing is them not caring about another dead mother, another failed woman, another nobody. This cements her feelings of degradation that has come with being a mother, of how little of a person she was truly allowed to be after giving birth. It reminds her of her own mothers doing nothing for her, of Mother Superior caring nothing for her. Doing nothing will lead to Cynthia's spirit being permanently trapped, stuck between dream, reality, death, life, human, and Pthumerian. Never truly happy but never truly devastated either. This is Cynthia's Limbo. Too weak to be reborn, too weak to continue living. A death as quiet as a sigh and then an eternal nothingness. Some may say that's a relief, others may see it as a punishment worse than death. This would lead to a world with a weak Moon Presence.

Mother Superior (AWAKEN - BACKFIRED ROUTE - DIES): Awakening Mother Superior would actually effectively kill Mother Superior. She is locked into her guilt over having failed humanity and failed her daughter, failed her granddaughter. Although she believes that she was the one playing a fast one on the Sleepers by mixing up Awaken/Sacrifice, the truth is that waking up and dealing with the reality of her own choices would be true torment to Superior. Waking her up breaks her heart immediately and her existence is obliterated. She cannot handle the reality of her own choices...Not anymore. And this will make Mother Superior cease to exist from the entire game - she will not become a Patron Pthumerian. All redemption will be lost. Killing Pthumerians is no small feat and awakening Mother Superior would greatly raise the potential for Sleeper abilities in Chapter 2. Yeah, basically you get a shitton of EXP points for killing Mother Superior.

Sleeper (DO NOTHING - BACKFIRED ROUTE - REBORN): Doing nothing for a Sleeper might as well be a Sleeper accepting that they are already buried in the ground. Indecision towards one's sense of self is why this world opens up with the most extreme "body horror" centric arrival. This is a direct consequence of Sleepers who chose to do nothing, not only for themselves but others. When you give up your own choice, you give up on everything, including autonomy. This distorts their body upon arrival worse than the other two worlds and rearranges it just as messily. The bone-power system of this world would have also been the most physically draining as it would have often felt like your body is undergoing a growth spurt without the growth - reflecting the indifference of the choice of doing nothing. If this were the choice for other doors, the body horror involved in the abilities in those worlds would have been greatly increased. In many ways, this would have been considered the worst route for Sleepers.

THE MOTHER DOOR

The setting of this door would have been a forest-dwelling village known as Willow. Cottages would be nestled among the trees and wards made out of animal remains and plants would protect the village from the terrors of the endless woods. The woods would have served as a perpetual confusion and threat to the villagers of Willow and an alliance with nature would have been imperative to keeping safe. This world would have embraced a Cottagecore, Midsommar, VVitch sort of aesthetic and themes.

Sleepers would have been reborn as froglike creatures. Their arrival would have been in the ponds near Hollow, going through a frog-like transformation from egg to tadpole to frog to...a regular humanoid (or otherwise) Sleeper.

This world's power system was centric to tears. Tears represent the sorrow of having lost children and family and loved ones to the violence and terror of the world. These would have been representative of the anguish Julia's death had caused so many, the tears shed for her, but also the very same tears that Julia's parents remembered her for. This too would represent Cynthia's anguish at a world created out of her own existence. As significance became attached to tears, it became common for people to cry more and more readily, and as they did, they began to become attached to the magic of the world through their grief and through their tears. This eventually led to a unique magic system based on different types of tears: Crystalized Tears, Endless Tears, Frigid Tears, Inked Tears, and Empty Tears.

The animal guides of this world would have been known as Familiars, companions of Sleepers. These familiars would primarily focus on being emotionally present for Sleepers to help them maintain their sense of self and maintain a sense of stability. They would have been the most passive of the animal guides.

The roles would have been: Witcher (Fighter), Saint (Healer), Pupil (Academic), Sage (Faith-Based), Maker (Creator), and Night Walker (Comfort - and same title across the board for all options as it is suggested the Night Walkers exist in all universes and timelines).

Julia Sodder (AWAKEN): 55
Cynthia Sodder (AWAKEN): 46
The Mayor (AWAKEN) 54
Mother Superior (DO NOTHING): 22
The Dog Keeper (DO NOTHING): 15
Ramona Derwin (SACRIFICE): 49
Sleeper (SACRIFICE): 60
TOTAL VOTES TOWARDS DOOR: 301

REASONS
Julia Sodder (AWAKEN - BEST ROUTE - DIES): If anyone could have saved Julia Sodder it was her mother - or at least, that's what Julia always believed. Even as she was put into her coma, she hoped that Cynthia would come through and save her. Choosing to awaken Julia is showing her the same compassion and kindness her mother once showed her, and it is choosing to see her first as a daughter, as a child, as a person before seeing her as a monster. This is Julia's forgiveness and this is her second chance. This forgiveness is exactly why the Mother world flourishes with plant life in memory of Cynthia's love and in honor of Sleepers finding compassion in their hearts. It is representative of Julia making the changes in the world she had once dreamed of when she was still alive. If another door opened with Julia being awoken, both the Child and Flesh worlds would have been much more fertile and easier to live in.

Cynthia Sodder (AWAKEN - WORST ROUTE - ETERNAL PUNISHMENT): Being forced to awaken is Cynthia's worst end as it shackles her permanently to the role of The Mother. While she may have loved her daughter, she wanted to live beyond her daughter and beyond people's expectations, but this world will chain her to those expectations. It would have bluntly contradicted her specific wishes to be let go of - and thus reflecting the ongoing cycle of people taking away her autonomy and sense of bodily control. It was left up to the Sleepers what to be done with her body, and she would have hoped to be able to trust them to follow her simple wishes. To have those wishes defied would sour Cynthia's soul. This is Cynthia's world wherein her potential beyond motherhood is evident in the rampant plant life and growth and nature of this world, but her despair at having lost all of that potential is prominent in the extreme horrors and terror present in this world. This is Cynthia's lost potential, Cynthia's broken dreams, Cynthia's personal cage, and greatest nightmare. Cynthia being awoken would have led to a much more violent Moon Presence with a greater influence over the emotional state of Sleepers - which is precisely why the Mother Door would have led to a world based primarily on emotionally based powers via tears.

The Mayor (AWAKEN - BEST ROUTE - DIES): This is the only world wherein the Mayor would have felt like he could truly be reunited with Cynthia and Julia. Awaken to a world filled with flowers no doubt would remind him of his own family and would bring the Mayor some degree of peace. If only because it would make him feel like the entire world had left flowers for his lost family rather than spit on their graves. This would bring the Mayor peace and completely free his spirit from having to spend the rest of eternity waiting for a daughter to wake up that never could. He will go obliviously, not knowing the true impact of what the nightmare has done or the kind of terror of this new world...But perhaps that is for the best. The Mayor cannot possibly survive waking up from the nightmare in his human body and therefore would not be able to "survive" in any traditional sense. But this does free his spirit and allows him to die in peace. He would not be present in this world.

Mother Superior (DO NOTHING - BACKFIRED - REBORN): This reflects Mother Superior's own sense of guilt. She often feels she has failed humanity for her doing nothing when it would have mattered most: at the very beginning. She often regrets not stopping the Pthumerian Queen sooner, often regrets having stood by and taken orders. She regrets having done nothing to better her relationship with Cynthia, with Julia. She regrets not having tried something different with the Sleepers. In many ways, despite her aggression and violence, Mother Superior did a lot of nothing in her life. She will become Mother Mercy under this circumstance as well and become a Patron Pthumerian and will endlessly seek forgiveness. But unlike being sacrificed, being awakened means she will retain much of that old violence from time to time - even when she doesn't mean to. Doing nothing for Mother Superior would contort her Pthumerian nature and make her sway between wanting to help Sleepers and wanting to betray Sleepers.

The Dog Keeper (DO NOTHING - BACKFIRED - ETERNAL PUNISHMENT): The Dog Keeper never saw himself as a familial figure to Julia but instead as a common protector of all children. He, more than most, is aware of the ill effects of doing nothing as he had often seen people do with Julia. To the Dog Keeper, doing nothing is complacent, and to have Sleepers decide against taking a position with his soul, he would be devastated. This would make a world where communication devices work poorly and where animals would be less reluctant to work with Sleepers. The Dog Keeper would still remain present but be far less likely to help Sleepers for he would have felt like he has been abandoned by them in a moment of great need. It would lead to a world where the Dog Keeper loses his eventual sanity and may begin to betray Sleepers...

Ramona Derwin (SACRIFICE - BEST ROUTE - DIES): In many ways, Ramona had come to see herself as a motherlike fixture in Julia's life. For Ramona, her entire relationship to Julia was fundamentally based on the sacrifices Ramona gave to be able to protect Julia. Yet in just as many ways, Ramona operated selfishly, clinging to the idea of her own existence through her connection to Julia. Sacrificing Ramona would essentially be the appropriate end to her story of a sacrificial hero type - after all, all good heroes, in the end, want to sacrifice themselves, and what a better reason to be sacrificed than for someone you see as your own daughter? Despite the hostility of the Mother Door world, this world caters more specifically to the kind of world Ramona would have envisioned for the best future, filled with plants and animals. This would ultimately free Ramona from her burden as protector of Julia and release her soul. It would be her most peaceful end.

Sleeper (SACRIFICE - BACKFIRED - REBORN): What is a mother but the sacrifices she makes for her children? In many ways, all Sleepers have in some way become surrogate parental figures to either Julia or other Sleepers. The sacrifices they make for each other, for themselves, for this world are best represented through their gesture of sacrificing their own eggs. This, to many Sleepers, is the honorable thing to do and therefore it is the honorable thing for them to do. The Sleeper Sacrifice would lead to a world that's easier to gain unique items and offer more stability over their new unique power system. However, Sleepers would have less ability to forsee their nearby future and would be left in a muddled in between state of still being uncertain of if it is wise to leave their worlds behind or step through the door. As this is tied to the emotional power system, it would also increase Sleeper's emotions radically and cause emotions to influence their abilities and presence in the new world - even if it isn't the Mother's world.
