About This Character: He's a psycopathic murderer from a Satanic cult, but he's dead now and no longer under the influence of his evil-as-shit dad, so he might be improving?
Any Warnings: If you have any triggers at all, let me know because this guy's backstory has a whole lot of shit.

Present Life: Still getting used to the town while also grateful his assistant Cassian has made an appearance.
Future Ideas: He is for sure going to be going on trial and getting executed.

Personal Style: I will always style match, but I've been leaning more towards prose these days. (I do still love an action bracket, but it's easier to do prose on my laptop/phone.) I prefer to backtag until the completion of threads, so long as everyone is still having fun. Recently I've had to drop more threads than I'd like, and I'm trying to get better at that.
NOTE: I am in grad school full-time while also working full-time, so please forgive random bouts of slowness. A week between tags is not unusual for me, but neither is boomeranging. It's all about what time I have available, and it varies a lot day-to-day. If this is an issue or you need a tag back on a time limit (such as AC), let me know.
OOC Limits: No sexual violence, although discussions of past trauma are okay. Please warn for animal cruelty, violence against children, trypophobia triggers, and anything to do with eyes. Please ask before major injury, mind reading, or death... but other than that, it's all fine and I'll be in contact if anything ever isn't fine.


Character Name: Technical Boy
Age: looks in his mid-20s, but is really 130+ (because he's a New God)
Employment in Deerington: Network security, primarily for Ashe's operation at the Real Hair of the Dog. He's also the administrator for a securely encrypted database called ICOE and a little games app that's on everyone's Fluids called GROW.
Residence in Deerington: Brahms, 418 David Cliff Apartments (which is a joke reference that I need to point out because I'm fond of it)
Day to Day Activities: Every once in a while he'll pop up around town (usually for events), but Tech Boy almost never physically leaves the safety of his apartment, preferring to skulk around on the Network instead. When he does go out, he's started to hang out in Deerington's pub (while K is working) and will take in-person meetings with other Sleepers there.
His favorite hobby is to argue with people on the Network as a means of information gathering and for fun. This is where he's visible most often. When he's not doing that, Tech Boy has been exploring the available technology in Deerington and picking at the Network from the inside (with the help of a little friend from home). He's been picking up the occasional odd tech support/repair jobs as things come up and has been investigating the Broadcasting Station.
➟ He's really made no secret of the fact that he has been spying on people from within the Network, so please see his permissions post when you get a chance.

About This Character: [ App ] The Technical Boy is one of the New Gods, god of technology and embodiment of the Internet. In his canon timeline, he was doing really well and held a lot more power than he does in Deerington, and that's put him in a particularly foul mood. Not that he was ever a particularly charming sort to begin with.
He can be a deeply annoying and unpleasant sort of character, but, out of necessity, he warms to people he finds interesting/useful/of a like mind and has been pretty quick to offer his IT help. In order to survive and be effective as a deity, he'll need the help of some worshipers acquaintances. This means he'll try to make an effort to play nice. Maybe. Hopefully. But like the internet at large, he is very rude, vulgar, and quick to rise to a fight.
Any Warnings: strong language, drug use, violence, verbal and/or physical abuse, and some adult content.
Technical Boy has a fondness for the word "fuck". His vulgar language is the thing that will come up most often. (It can be toned down at a player's request, but he likely won't watch his language just because it makes a character uncomfortable.) He's also high about 90% of the time. Mostly, it's a stress coping mechanism.

Present Life: Other than what has been previously described (see also: Employment and Day to Day Activities), Tech Boy hasn't been very active of late. He got beaten up by orcs and turned into a fairy (he got better), and this is why he doesn't go outside a lot.
The most significant development in his life since coming to Deer has been dating KD6-3.7, but for as much as Tech Boy's in everyone else's business, he's been pretty private about his personal life. This is changing as he's very slowly learning to trust people.

Future Ideas: Despite his prickly personality, he really really wants to be helpful to his fellow Sleepers. This is the purpose of the database and the games all. He's also begun offering tech/typing/programming classes, but nothing formally. If there's enough interest, maybe he will, but he's skeptical about the practical need.
➟ Shortly after he arrived, Tech Boy hosted a photo "contest." Thinking he might do another one of those… but not in July. Likely between events while there's a break in the action.

CR You Want: Tech Boy really likes arguing with people over the Network. More of this, because it's nothing personal and it's been great fun. Ideally, he needs more people he's not outrightly hostile or ambivalent towards. He doesn't do "friends" (with a few exceptions) but anyone willing to withstand him in the interest of mutual survival is great. Negative CR is pretty much expected with a character like this, but it can be tempered with the "I don't like you but otherwise we're going to die here" perspective.

Elias is one of my favorite characters in TMA so I'm very happy we have one in Deerington now! :D I play Arid here, an AI who has quickly become one of Deerington's top Jonathan-Sims-haters after he tried to compel her right out of the gate, later apologized, and then... turned the Watcher's gaze on her a few months later.

She might dislike Elias for being associated with Jon or like him for making Jon miserable. Maybe both? She's killing Jon at the end of July so I figure that might get Elias's attention 👀

Personal Style: I normally gravitate towards brackets, but I do write in prose on occasion! I'm open to either, it's not an issue for me. I'm a little on the slow side, particularly with also going back to work again after lockdown beginning to be lifted in the UK. My 'weekend' is mid-week, as I'm a weekend worker. I do try to get back to people within the week, and not let things get much older than a week but yeah, I can take a while getting back to things sometimes. That being said, I can hit things back quicker at times! It changes up a lot, depending on circumstances. I'm also happy enough to backtag for a bit but I like to get threads wrapped up or drop them within 2 - 3 months.

Day to Day Activities: Duping native residents with cards games (he beats the pants off practically everyone in canon), doing odd jobs for Sleepers for food, smokes, whatever. Harassing his lesser half, as well as other friends/enemies he's made.
About This Character: Bucky is a boy in a mask, both literally and figuratively. Orphaned at 12 and left with only his father's penchant for anger, Bucky lashes out at the world and the people in it with an easy grin and quick wit that belies his inner demons. He hides his insecurities and rage under the guise of discipline focused through rigorous training in the Army to become Captain America's partner.

This is his identity and the mask he wears, stopping at nothing to be wanted, useful, and relevant in a world of super heroes and super villains.

Any Warnings: Child endangerment, torture, period racism

Present Life: Bucky will be learning about his future crimes from this month's event and will be skewered by Logan. When he returns he'll be pretty subdued for awhile.
Future Ideas: Eh, he's just along for the ride right now. When he learns about F.E.A.R. he'll want to join.

CR You Want: Bucky loves frenemies! He loves harassing people and just randomly attacking them to keep 'em on their toes. Anyone who would love to swing with him in bars or dance halls would be very welcome! Women or men.
