PART ONE PROMPTS

THE LIBRARIAN

Start Date: October 11th
End Date: Fade away by the first week of November
Location: Deerington Public Library (Safe Zone for October)

The library has expanded on both the outside and the inside. There are more shelves and more books than there have ever been before. Books are stacked in towers and crammed between shelves. It is hardly up to code of how books should be stored, but there seems to be no other choice for the month. Overstuffed armchairs and sofas have been squished in among the books, offering plenty of seating for those seeking refuge.

Giant brass incense holders swing loftily from the rafters up above, tendrils of incense smoke pooling out of diamond-shaped holes. The air is hazy all throughout, smelling like ancient books and something muskier, deeper, something that must come from the incense themselves. Candles have been put everywhere as well and serve as the only viable light source inside of the library. Wax drips down over books, shelves, and sometimes even over the backs of armchairs. One would think they'd be a fire hazard, but this is an enchanted flame that doesn't seem to burn anything except for the wick.

Moving among the shelves is the Librarian. She glides across the floor silently, the torn edges of her gown whispering over the floor in her wake. A giant candle melts over her head, wax stiffened in rivers coursing over her face and shoulders. The Librarian keeps a knife out at all times, but there is something decidedly not threatening about her disposition. Mostly she keeps to herself, gliding past Sleepers and replacing candles once others have gone out and restocking the incense holders.

"We must be diligent in this month of madness," one can hear her whispering sometimes. She only ever whispers. "The Hunters cannot reach us this month. We are to fend for ourselves. The field is too dense and the blood runs thick. And every drop of Sleeper blood that falls...falls down into the Waking World."

It might as well be nonsense, but it might be nonsense worth paying attention to. The Librarian appears to be completely blind, but she will listen to those who talk. She can help people find books and seem to welcome Sleepers into the protection of her library.

Although she whispers, she does not encourage Sleepers to do the same. Instead, she floats about, telling Sleepers the importance of stories.

"True immortality is dependent on how long people will talk about you after you have ceased to exist," she says, "Stories remind us that we are not alone in this world. Stories connect us to people we have never met, never known. Pick a story from the shelves or tell one of your very own."

Everywhere around the library people are telling stories of their own lives or perhaps have picked out one of their favorite books to read from. Other people are making up stories on the spot or retelling old lore from their own worlds. The thing is...The Librarian seems to be right.

Everyone who partakes in story-telling, whether it's listening to someone else tell a story or telling one yourself, Sleepers will feel steadier mentally. This will help provide relief from blood-drunkness and general madness from the month's events. Monsters cannot get into the Library and seem to keep away.

The more a Sleeper resonates with a story, the more they will feel empowered. Some stories may even heal minor injuries if the storytelling is theatric, thorough enough.

INFORMATION:

1. There will be incense and enchanted candles that Sleepers can take home with them when they leave the Library. Candles will not burn anything but the wicks and will last the same amount of time as a regular candle.

2. Sleepers can sleep/stay in the Library the entire month. They will have to bring their own food and drink though. The Librarian encourages as much.

3. If you work at the library, the Librarian will likely have you stocking candles and incense as well. She will also probably enlist you to help keep stories moving around the Library.

4. There are more books than ever in the library this month. Characters may be able to find rare/unique books from their own canons among the shelves. You can also have your character find the books they themselves come from if you want. Books can be taken out of the library/technically stolen.

BLOOD FEVER

Start Date: October 11th
End Date: Fade away throughout October and November depending upon player choice.
Location: All locations.

The scent of blood in the air should make one gag. It should drive one to disgust. This October, however, it seems to have the opposite effect. People may begin to find the scent as welcoming as roses or a home-cooked meal. Some might leave their faucets running to watch their sinks fill with blood, entranced by the deep red flow.

Then there are the ones who grow ravenous about blood. It is not enough to smell it. They must dip their fingers into blood, paint it over their walls, their faces. It becomes religious to them, dire for them to touch and taste and feel and smell and see.

"Blood of my blood, blood of the moon, blood of the Sleepers and Hunters alike." It's a redundant phrase that seems to continually pass the lips of people drunken by blood. They don't seem to recognize how unusual the behavior is, brushing off concerns from loved ones.

The euphoria caused by blood can make people reckless and energetic. They will feel bold and determined, and the more they interact with blood, the more they will feel like they can accomplish anything in the world. That they are strong and renewed. Blood is rebirth, blood is power, blood is everything and more. But the more blood people soak up, the more manic their euphoria will become. They will be driven to forget themselves and dedicate themselves solely to the bloodletting of the town. This might mean they want to splash blood everywhere they can or cause blood sacrifices either of their own bodies or other creatures/Sleepers. This can drive a person easily to murder that they will argue is justifiable, reasonable.

"We must honor the blood of the dream!" They will cry, hysterically.

Other blood-drunk behavior will include behavior typically associated with alcohol-drunk such as stumbling around, slurred speech, lapses of memory. People may even feel hangover or withdrawal-like side effects if they routinely ingest/wear blood only to abruptly stop.

Some characters may be driven to want to actively drink blood or bathe in blood, and those who do will find that they really do become more powerful. Or perhaps they become more beautiful, more youthful in appearance. It isn't just a mental frenzy - there really is some power in the blood this month. Anyone's or anything's blood will do.

INFORMATION:

1. Opting out of blood drunken behavior requires very little. Some characters simply won't be impacted by it the way others are.

2. Characters do not need to be blood-and-flesh creatures themselves to get blood drunk.

3. You can make a character as deranged by blood or go a more mild route. Blood drunken behavior may cause characters to leave safe houses/safe areas more willingly.

VALLEY OF THE DEAD

Start Date: Every 12th hour from October 11th onward
End Date: Will steadily go away by the end of October/beginning of November
Location: Streets of Deerington

Every 12th hour there will be a rush of wind that sweeps through the entire town and every house, every building, no matter how tightly shut your windows may be or how secure your doors are. The wind is warm, damp, and it lasts only a minute, barely strong enough to make papers rustle across tables. Then it is gone, and you can hear a low murmuring chant from somewhere in an indistinguishable language. It's coming from outside and it may be exceptionally tempting to go see what it is. You'll notice that during this hour, windows and doorways become blacked out. In order to see where the chanting comes from, you must open your front door and step outside.

It will look as if Deerington has been buried...Beneath bodies. There's moaning wails all around you, and you see body after body stacked over your home, over other homes, lining the streets. The bodies are practically unrecognizable. Mostly humanoid, but slick with blood. Some are mostly rotten away to the skeletons beneath, but others are writhing, arms stretching out, cries for help lost in the billions of other cries among them. The streets run with thick, waist-deep blood, and every couple of feet are the Messengers with their safe haven. Only around them is there no gore or bodies - a small safe spot and a possible way to travel in the mess.

It is easy to be driven mad among the bodies. You may see them as all the people you have ever killed, all of the Sleepers you have known, all of the people you have loved - or they may just be a faceless abomination of corpses and writhing bodies, crying for help, crying for their suffering to end.

This bloodied nightmare last for only an hour. The longer you stay out in it, the more you will notice the bodies will start to break down and vanish. The blood in the streets will drain down into the sewers, and once the hour has passed, the streets are void of the horrific amount of bodies that lined them just moments before.

If you are unlucky enough to be out in the streets when the hour strikes, you yourself might be inexplicably sucked into the walls of bodies, crushed beneath the weight, and you might need someone to hopefully be able to hear your cries from the piles.

INFORMATION:

1. The prompt will last exactly one hour each time. This will only occur to those unfortunate enough to be traveling in the streets or without incense at this time.

2. To avoid this prompt, characters can merely stay inside during this time. This prompt only occurs in the streets/the National Park/the general setting. It will not spill into character homes.

3. Characters can possibly be crushed to death in the piles or drown in the blood rivers.

4. Blood-drunk characters may be severely impacted by this prompt.

PART TWO PROMPTS

DESCENT

Start Date: October 11th
End Date: Effects of this may last well beyond October depending per player choice
Location: All locations.

Those who may avoid getting blood drunk still will struggle with the overwhelming pressure of insanity throughout the month. Sleep deprivation and listening to the miserable howls of monsters and dying people in the streets is enough to drive anyone crazy. It's more than that though. That damned moon feels like it is watching everything, even your most private thoughts, most private moments, and it starts to feel impossible to escape.

It creeps into the safety of your home. You swear you had just closed that door that now hangs open, the dark of the hallway beyond seeming impossibly deep. Your animals seem to stop and watch things you cannot see. There's a pressure that dips onto your mattress while you try to relax, but when you look, nothing is there. Clicking groans erupt from beneath your bed, down your hall, into your basement. You feel like something is with you, something is coming for you.

And maybe you see it. Some distorted creature, long-limbed and sloping across your bathroom floor with a jaw that wags back and forth, broken. You can feel it when it scratches a claw across your face. You watch it turn the faucet in your shower to boiling hot to burn your skin. You see its ominous letters left in blood on your walls...

But do you really? As you stumble into the Descent, you start to see this haunting follow you around, but is there really anything there? You may have someone who cares enough to snap you out of it, might have to go through a seance to purge the sanity from your mind, or maybe you will be overrun with so much you finally turn into a monster yourself...

But it is not impossible to be saved. Once you come back from the Descent, you cannot fall into it again, and you will see that it was indeed you who had scratched yourself. It was you that wrote those haunting messages. It was you being your own worst nightmare...

...And maybe someone else's.

INFORMATION:

1. Characters who partake in the other prompts may actually find it is easier to avoid full Descent.

2. Characters with magical abilities or access to medication / other grounded sanity-control measures may be able to avoid this prompt.

3. Incense cannot combat this prompt.

4. All monsters seen are meant to be hallucinations. That means they can look like anything you want them to. Any damage caused to the house or character(s) will be done by the character struggling with the Descent.

MY GUIDING MOONLIGHT

Start Date: October 11th
End Date: Monster madnesses can last throughout October and November. All people will go back to their tattoos by the first week of December at the latest.
Location: All locations.

Those undergoing enormous stress and breaks of sanity whether through insomnia or blood-fever or the Descent or regular stress will notice that their tattoos begin to pulse and hurt. It feels as if something is trying to crawl its way out and it can be agonizing to deal with, even if you usually don't experience pain. There is some relief to be found in soothing creams and running a tattoo underwater, and there is more relief to be found if someone you are close with rubs your tattoo. Sleeper touch seems to quiet whatever it is crawling beneath the skin...

But not forever. Not for some Sleepers. Eventually, the pain will consume you, and then all at once: it is gone.

Your tattoo will glow white, flecks of pale light peeling off of your tattoo until the little flecks make a 3D rendition of your tattoo right before your very eyes. It looks like a ghost, and you can feel and hear your thoughts and memories pouring from this little ghostly suspension of your tattoo. But you cannot reach out to it. You cannot do anything. Your body has grown cold, numb, and if anyone is near, they will have seen that your skin from head to toe has looked like it's been dipped in lead. You leave your home, leave wherever it is your tattoo slid out of you, and you walk the streets of Deerington.

There is no pain. There is nothing at all. Your body begins to drip across the cement, falling apart, but you are not afraid. You are reduced to a puddle of black ink, and out of that ink, you rise again. This time as something so much more: you have become a monster.

The exhaust from insomnia, the madness from the blood, or the Descent have abandoned you. You feel purified. Absolute. Closer to the real you than you have ever felt in your life. You do not feel cruelty or kindness, but you understand your design in this world now. You must peel back this layer from the town. You can see it as a monster, you can see the streaks of energy that swirl throughout the town. Between buildings, among Sleepers, in the sky. It's all around you, shrouding you, and you realize you can touch it. You can feel not only other Sleepers, but Sodder, Mother Superior, Ramona, Cynthia, the Mayor, and the Dog Keeper - you can feel everything. So you must begin to rip away at the layers, pull that energy that feels like silk in your jaws or between your hands.

Of course, anything that comes across you might drive you mad. You are focused on your work, but from afar, it may look like a monster terrorizing the streets. You may not be able to recognize friends, loved ones, or innocent people. You may crush and destroy those who get in your way.

How To Be Brought Back To Yourself

That little glowing image of your tattoo? Yeah, that's gonna be important. If you make your way back to it naturally, you'll be transformed back into your normal self through a similar way you transformed into a monster.

You can also be lead there by people ushering you along (people would have to know what tattoo belongs to who - or then again, they could coincidentally lead you to the right one). Being a few feet within the tattoo will trigger a reverse transformation.

Alternatively, however, if people discover your floating tattoo but have no idea what you may look like as a monster or where you might be...They will notice their own tattoo respond, also peeling off to glow and join with yours. Their bodies will by the tattoo, but their minds will be sent to join yours as you rampage in your monster form. This is the Fusion.

Fusion

They join you wherever you are in your Headspace. Players can interpret the headspace to look however they think a character's Headspace would look, but there should be some sort of "external access" like a window that serves as the character's "eyes" to the world (like Inside Out, okay).

There, the characters will manifest as their usual selves and be able to talk.

The character who decided to fuse will have complete control over their mental state when entering this Headspace. If they were going mad before, they will feel unusually calm, well-rested. They can help guide a character back to sanity and back to their tattoo.

Alternatively, the two characters can work together to fight as a monster. This will include having to feel each other's emotions/maybe even see glimpses of memories. You can interpret how complicated this can be or how simple. It can be like Pacific Rim style of controlling a monster together, or you can get a bit more metaphorical.

Either way, the character who fused with the monsterfied character will eventually grow weak and incapable of staying in the Headspace forever. They will eventually fade back to where the tattoo is hovering.

INFORMATION:

1. Characters can completely lose themselves to their monster versions. However, they have a great chance of having some sense of control.

2. It is impossible for them to be identical to how they actually are as a monster, but they may retain some of their core personality/morals if they have been properly helped by another Sleeper. This means you can play a character in control of their monster form to some extent.

3. Sleepers can be helpful and aid in fights in their monster form while they are in the controlled state. They are vulnerable to going back to madness and consistent care is a must for keeping them in the right state of mind.

4. Characters cannot experience a physical injury while in the Headspace since it is technically their minds, not their bodies.

5. If a character is "killed" as a monster, they will manifest back through their tattoo abruptly. This will be excruciatingly painful for a character and they will struggle for a long while after with telling the difference between dreams, reality, memories, and the like. The same thing will happen to a character who is in their Headspace at the same time.

6. All those who are a monster will feel a powerful connection to the "moon" (the eyes) up in the sky and they may at times be seemingly entranced by them. This will further cement them in madness.

NIGHTMARE FRONTIER

Start Date: October 11th
End Date: The Nightmare Frontier will still look as though it's accessible throughout November, but by the first week of November, Sleepers will find that they cannot venture that far out again and will instead suffer the usual consequences of trying to leave Deerington - even if they are a monster.
Location: Beyond town limits.

For once one can venture for miles beyond Deerington. Farther than anyone has been able to go, but there is a dense, heavy smog. The yellow fog crackles through the air, pungent in odor, drawing monsters from within Deerington and from beyond. You can see their vast, immense shapes moving through the murky yellow. It's hard to breathe in and you may want to bring a face cover if you choose the bad choice of navigating this smog. The smog also will cause people's eyes to burn and their mouths to grow dry. You really will want to cover up and plan ahead before venturing this far.

One can easily lose themselves in the rolling smog beyond. As you walk, the familiar landscape of Deerington's lush Maine woods and fields gives way to something far more sinister. The landscape becomes jagged red stone with gaping flesh holes expending fumes of that toxic yellow smog. Near those fleshy holes and you'll find they have a ring of teeth ready to chomp anything that comes too close.

The smog can completely distort reality. Gravity may become unreliable. Random objects float through the smog, objects that you wouldn't expect to find out in this strange wasteland. You might see items you once had in your childhood among the rocks, random pieces of furniture. It is easy to forget one's self, forget why you might have come out to the smog, but one can steady themselves by touching their tattoos or having someone else touch them. Stay close. Stay together.

Monsters have been born in this smog and they crash through the terrain with clear intention to head straight for Deerington - which you thankfully can still see in the distance. Other monsters, whether monsters from the smog or Sleepers transformed into monsters, will attack those monsters - and it's impossible to tell if it's to hunt for food or if it is out of some sense to protect Deerington. Either way, it's a dangerous place to be if you have nothing to fight with or no skill to hide.

The roar of the ocean can also be heard out in the smog. If you walk far enough, you will come across a massive, red ocean slamming again and again against a black sand shore. It may strike some as familiar, and on the broken waves, you can see the ruins of hundreds of ships.

And hundreds of destroyed lighthouses.

Those who go into the ocean will find that it tastes of ink and destroys all senses. It is easy to drown in that water. Some lucky few may only be consumed by the water and come back out a transformed monster. But that's only if you're lucky. If you stay by the waters long enough, you might see some strange crablike creatures scurrying out of the ocean to feast on the bodies of dead monsters that may wash up along the shore or that have fallen out of the smoggy skies.

If you sit and listen, you will hear a strange chittering language passing among the crab creatures. It should be unrecognizable. You know you have never heard it before, and yet, you can understand exactly what they are saying:

"The box! Where is the box? It must be found and it must be solved."

"But will they be ready? Can they handle reality?"

"They will have no choice. She will teach them that. She is a woman of faith, after all. Reality is her specialty."

"Maybe so...But that box...Where is that puzzle?"

INFORMATION:

1. Those who have been transformed into monsters can breathe in the smog without a problem and will not be subjected to hallucinations.

2. Although the smog is disorienting one can still find their way back to Deerington eventually.

3. The crab creature's statement is a hint to the mini-event connected to this event that will be released in November.

4. The crab creatures will run away if anyone tries to attack them - but they can be killed easily and they are non-toxic to eat. At most they might try and pinch people and can cause broken bones - but only if they catch you. Their bite is mildly poisonous and can cause joints to swell but is nonfatal. It is meant to make someone incapable of chasing after them as they escape and will fade away after an hour or so or if properly extracted via magic/medical care.

=> As a member of F.E.A.R. Usagi will be transformed as Sailor Moon and will be more than happy to rescue anyone and bring them to the library or goodbye house or the F.E.A.R. facility. Thanks to Rei and Huntress her house is SUPER fortified both physically and magically...

=> But ASIDE FROM THAT!

I'm fulfilling a dream of mine and Princess Serenity is going to be EVIL.

In an attempt to help, Usagi is going to get it in her head that if she can just get the moon back, she can fix whatever the hell is going on.

The more she's outside though (and since she's a member of FEAR this is gonna happen REAL fast), the more paranoid she's gonna get and the more she's going to kinda think everyone hates the moon (cause well, in Deerington they kinda do) and try and figure out, as Serenity, how the hell to get back to said moon. If she can get to the moon, after all, she can FIX THIS!

As she becomes more unhinged, she's going to think everyone is an enemy keeping her trapped on Earth or worse, destroyed her moon, cause "Where. the. fuck. is. her. moon?"

=> She will be, eventually, time stopped by Pluto and a killing blow will be landed by Mars.

=> Early on, Serenity/Usagi can be convinced to head back home and snap out of her "search for the moon." She's only going to obliterate monsters who try and attack her. She can even help people being attacked!

As it goes on, though, her grasp on what an "enemy" and "attacking" her looks like will become looser and looser and frayed until finally, anyone NOT a senshi is going to be seen as a threat keeping her trapped on Earth.

=> So! Who would like to be completely obliterated/murdered very quickly by the moon goddess?

Injured but not dead is also available.

ALSO! I should note that the same glamor that protects people from recognizing Usagi as Sailor Moon also protects people from not realizing Serenity and Usagi are one and the same. Unless you have seen Usagi transform into/out of Sailor Moon/Serenity, or she's told you "hey, I'm Sailor Moon," or a character can read souls/energies/the Force, they won't be able to make the connection that Usagi and Serenity are one and the same.

OOC Limits: Honestly, the sky's the limit this month. Maul's gonna end up insane and dead in that order, so let's torment him the entire time, shall we?

Unwanted CR: The position of killing him has already been filled, but beyond that, go hog wild!

Event Ideas: So Maul has slowly started to be driven to the edges of sanity by having visions of Fern dying and Deerington as it is during October already throughout September. He's been alright at keeping himself together thus far, but that's going to change.

During the month, he helps Fern kill Jon, but Fern dies immediately afterwards. This causes whatever threads of sanity he's holding onto to just completely snap. He's gonna revert to a state much like how he's first found in The Clone Wars (cw: clip has all of the following:) aka crazy as a bedbug and not really able to tell friend from foe while he disassociates real bad. So any of the prompts that are dealing with characters going crazy are gonna be my jam right now.

Eventually, he's gonna be killed by Usagi, which at that point is really going to be a mercy. So yeah, blood madness, descent, monster-time, anything like that I am totally up for!

I'm down for an encounter between these two, with Neopolitan forced to flee the fight as her Aura starts running out (the only thing that's protecting her from his light saber), and requiring she use a semblance to let him kill a duplicate while she ducks the hell away.

She's sufficiently familiar with Deerington that she won't hold it against him at this point.

For My Guiding Moonlight Homura will be changed into a monstrous form stuck between her Witch appearance and demon transformation. This monster can influence reality a little and will be resistant to being led back to her tattoo.

For those who'd like to do a round of fusion, Homura's world will look like her labyrinth as it's breaking apart. The window out is a simple curled window with the hinges tied shut with red ribbons. The ribbons can't be torn apart nor the window opened...but at least you can look outside!

Event Ideas:

This is important: Jubilee is a Vampire, and as such she will be in a strange near-drunk state throughout most of the month. She does not feed on humans unless offered, but there will probably be commentary in metatext where she is struggling. I am willing to have her bite someone if asked for, but please note that she cannot turn anyone into a Vampire without conscious effort, and that she won't do.

Part 1:

Jubilee will not be spending a lot of time around her home. The stained glass mirrors touch on some truly gruesome scenes from home that she doesn't want to remember (and I'm happy to thread out running into them), so the library will be a bit of a base-camp for her. She'll be more than willing to share stories, because she's a jabberjaw. If you'd like to hear some Mutant exploits, or bond over not being fond of Captain America, she is your gal.

When she wanders outside, she'll be carrying around a Kirkhammer, courtesy of the messengers last month. She possesses quite a lot of control over her vampiric impulses, so it will take most of the month for her come close to losing herself, but she will casually drink blood just...because. When the Valley of the Dead hits, Jubes is probably going to go full superhero and will try and help people out. Towards the end of the month she will probably be caught in it at some point, freaking out badly because of seeing the faces of suffering friends and family and may need someone to talk her down.

Part 2

Sanity is somewhat optional here, but Jubilee's training with a 900 year old vampire samurai will help keep her from falling too far and becoming a monster. That doesn't mean she'll survive unscathed. She'll probably suffer some self-inflicted injuries, like scratches and the like.

Once people start turning, she's not really going to hesitate. She will go after monsters that are going mad and hurting people, and she will attempt to kill them as dead as she can. I have some plans here that may involve her fighting some castmates, and I'm happy to have her fight more people.

I don't foresee her leaving town, but if someone would like to go exploring with her, I am game.

Since October started, Shiro's been out and about in the streets, dressed in his Hunter Garb from last year. He's more than happy to offer out the mask to people who may be veering toward blood drunk (plague mask, perfumed inside). He'll be out in town as much as possible, trying to help however he can - running supplies, fending off the mobs, guiding people to safety. You name it, he's probably doing it. I'm up for any kind of general interactions here, too, including rescuing.

He'll probably start taking people to either the Goodbye House, or the Library, and can be found in either of those places (plus Mouse House) during the event. OR escorting people out to the nightmare frontier to get a feel for it.

Someone should probably sit on him to make him stop doing that.


VALLEY OF DEAD
... this is going to be a huge hurdle. it definitely reminds Shiro of past events in Deerington, and a whole truckload of personal guilt. With how much he's going to be out running himself ragged, there's no way he's going to avoid this. And he'll probably need help either digging himself out or being brought to the messengers/off the streets. This prompt will probably include anxiety/panic/ptsd-like elements.

MONSTERING OUT
This was bound to happen. With how much Guilt he's been under since July, and with Adam dying, he's going to end up succumbing to the monsters. Going back to the old standby of "space Pyramid Head" - this thing. It will not be hostile to close CR but may try to place them in situations it deems to be "safe" (like inside a container, or on a rooftop).

However, it will participate in fighting the creatures of the nightmare frontier. And in wrecking parts of town. New CR may uh. Not have a good time. Not looking to get anyone killed, but definitely tossed around a bit.

... BACK TO HIMSELF? / FUSION?
To be perfectly honest, I'm open to plotting here most of all. I don't have anything specific in mind for how to bring Shiro back to himself. I'm definitely open to the Fusion option, especially angling toward a Pacific Rim theme haha. Or by having him brought back to his tattoo. Heck maybe the monster is killed and Shiro's forcibly yanked back to himself. Just about anything, really!

Blood Fever:

Will freak him out like whoa because uh. He's lived with vampires the last few years so. No. Thanks. To all the blood. He's spent the last four years giving his blood to the vampires and seen that Mika has been doing so in letting Ferid feed directly from him, on top of all the blood from when the rest of his orphanage fam were slaughtered. He will not take this well. At All. I'd probably be more comfortable exploring this more if I was playing older teenage Yuu rather than bitty so I might just say he's prob gonna freak and avoid most everyone as a result of this? Or at least try.

Valley of the Dead:

So much blood with all the bodies. Yuu would also not take this well either if he sees say the bodies of Mika and Akane and the other orphans among the bodies there. Also he is a tiny twelve year old so idk if it would actually be higher than waist deep for him but he also I figure prob can't swim so. Fun times I guess maybe almost drowning in blood?

Same as the blood drunk etc option I'm prob gonna more nope on this with Yuu at this age? If I do it'd be more a mild case of it in comparison to if I were more comfortable messing with older Yuu when I update him later.

Guiding Moonlight/Fusion:

Could be interesting? Yuu's def still building up cr in regards to the fusion option in comparison to my others in being new though. Canon has him at the tipping point of becoming a demon and he has the seraph gene so. Maybe if he becomes a monster something along those ideas? (I fully intend for him to seraph/salt king mode once I update him eventually!)

Desired CR: Anything! I'm very open to all sorts of CR. In particular, Atsushi can be kind of terrible and I haven't had many chances to show that. Also open to positive CR, though. He's 18, but can act childishly due to his lack of a childhood.

Event Ideas:

I generally do a monthly open log and then add event prompts! Atsushi's monthly log will go up sometime in the next few days. It'll mostly have pre-event prompts for now and I'll add event prompts on Oct 11th.

Library Relaxation: Atsushi will definitely be returning to the library periodically to catch his breath. He likes reading and will be interested in whatever stories people are willing to share. He's also based on a real life author by the same name and his ability is based on a story called The Moon Over the Mountain. I'm open to forth walling if any characters want to raise a brow over that.

Valley of the Dead: he cares a lot about his cr. anyone wanna see atsushi react to thinking his friends died? Check yes here. He'll be running around trying to help people, but too overwhelmed to actually do anything.

Descent: Deefinitely want to be awful to Atsushi with this one. Both with Atsushi doing terrible things and eventually having someone snap him out of it. He may even use his Ability to scratch and destroy things, then blame it on the tiger. Atsushi has gone through a similar experience in his canon, so it will be easier to snap him out of it.

Nightmare Frontier: Would like for Atsushi to make one trip out, at least. His tattoo is on the back of his neck.

Getting Killed: Atsushi will die at some point. He's getting killed by Usagi. Haven't figured out the exact dates, but there will be a week when he suddenly isn't checking in on his CR. He's never had anyone care when he got sick before, so will be very stupid/reckless with his death flu.

- Gar will ultimately end up turning into a giant green beast. While in this form, I'm open to him fighting others, attempts to help him through Fusion, defending Sleepers in the Nightmare Frontier and ultimately getting turned back to normal. This can be through guiding him back to his tattoo physically or through coaxing him with fusion. Fusion threads can otherwise be used for helping him generally regain his senses, working together Pacific Rim-style or failed attempts. While he's a monster, I'm open to Gar injuring other characters but reluctant about him actually killing anyone.
- After Gar is back to normal, he can help with other monsters, and I am also open to trippy explorations of the Nightmare Frontier! I am also open to the possibility of Gar dying but undecided, most likely in battle with another monster.

➢ During the month, he'll be trying to rescue anyone who's being attacked/injured/in trouble. This works for several prompts: Blood fever, Valley of the Dead, Descent, My guiding moonlight.
➢ He fill fight anyone if he has to, but he will also try to use whatever medication he may have to cure people. This will be more effective in terms of treating the hallucinations in Descent, but not really as effective in other prompts.
➢ After he's brought back from being dead, he's going to be sticking mostly to the library. He'll go out on occasion so he can try to bring anyone who's in danger back to the library with him, and there he'll try to set up some makeshift clinic/medical corner to treat injuries, insomnia and/or other various ailments. People to help him as nurses/assistants would be excellent; and of course any and all patients! If your character would be too reluctant to approach, that's fine. He'll also be making rounds through the library to check whether anyone's hurt or unwell and needs medical assistance.
➢ Last but not least, Leonard has a silly dinosaur onesie that allows him to actually sleep through a whole night and he's definitely going to be using it once he's revived. Yes, he's using it at the library. Please, someone needs to stumble into his tiny, hidden away sleeping corner and make fun of him for it.

Kurt is going to have.. a tough month.

He's going to be spending the first bit of it monster hunting and I'm open to having him save people or fail. He might end up in the Library a few times, but won't stick around very long -- he's got work to do.

Shortly after the event starts he'll succumb to the moon's pull (again) and be painfully turned into a monster, specifically the Bamf Dragon. He'll be a big beastie with lots of sharp teeth, nasty claws and an ability to both teleport and breathe some kind of energy fire. He will fight against the instinct to destroy but the stress will be too much to be able to do it for long. I'm happy to have him encounter Sleepers either in a frenzied monster state or calmer and trying to fight it, either in Deer or out in the fog!

After a few days of causing mayhem in the town and the fog and hurting a bunch of people, he's going to be taken care of by getting killed by Logan and will revert back to normal, though super confused/horrified at what he did.

Towards the end of the month he'll probably be pretty reclusive, though he might end up out in the Nightmare Frontier once or twice just to be somewhere.. else.. for a while.

Grady's going to be dealing with all of the chaos like he deals with most things, i.e. badly. He'll be out monster hunting as best he can with some mundane weapons and might end up at the Library, though probably just to fall asleep in a chair instead of telling stories.

He will also be dealing with some elements of the Descent as the stress and insomnia gets to him and might end up self-medicating with booze and making it all much worse. He might stumble out into the Nightmare Frontier once or twice and either mess himself/someone else up or pass out on the beach, so might need someone to come give him a kick!

There won't be any monster transformations on his end but I'm happy for him to fight or get his butt kicked by other Sleeper monsters!

● The Librarian: Ford will be in and out of the library all month long and he has a flair for storytelling. ● Nightmare Frontier: Ford will be out exploring this foggy nightmare during the later half of the month. Event Ideas: Varian won't have a top-level this event, I'm going to tag him out. He does have a monthly mingle post, so if you want anything closed, we can do it there!

THE LIBRARIAN

The library is Varian's favourite place besides his lab anyway- he's been mostly staying inside making antidotes for the better part of a month and a half. He'll head to the library upon hearing there are stories there. He knows thanks to the Moss King's vision that in his future he'll build a trans-dimensional portal (yeah) and given how he wants to find a way to beat the nightmare and get everyone to a home of their choosing, he will want to read the books in case they give him any clues on that. He'll for sure be telling some stories from home - anyone who hears him is welcome to recognise Rapunzel as either the fairytale or the Disney movie. He's already aware his life is owned by The Mouse, it's fine.

MY GUIDING MOONLIGHT TW: Limb loss

Though Varian won't be turning into a monster this month, he will get attacked by Kurt in his bamf dragon form on the way home from the library on the 14th. In the scuffle, the bamf dragon is going to rip Varian's right leg off. Varian won't know it at the time, but this is going to be one of the sacrifices to alleviate Fern's death amnesia (thanks, new death system, thanks). Ruby and Glitch are going to save any more of him getting eaten and stop him from bleeding out everywhere, but if anyone has painkiller and/or antibiotics supplies that would be aces. He'll be bedbound for the rest of the month while he heals up. He's taught Ford how to make the Antidote, so at least there will still be deliveries of that!

NIGHTMARE FRONTIER

Varian will miss out on this, but if your character mentions it on the network, expect him to BARRAGE them with questions. What did the crab look like? Draw the crab. What did it say? Did it say anything else? How many lighthouses were there? No, go back and COUNT them. He's going to be a relentless, pissy nightmare because he won't be able to go himself, and for that, I apologise.

Event Ideas: This month in general is going to be hard on Ruby. She's got a front row to seat to watching her Uncle die. Plus her sister and a few other castmates are going to be dying so it's not going to swell time.

Birthday Insanity: So October 31st is Ruby's birthday. And with all the dead family members and things poking at her sanity she is going to crack more than a little. She's going to go full ham into planning a birthday party because surely everyone deserves one nice thing this month.

She's either going to hold it in the library or try to break into the church and clear it out as she was told in previous years it was safe spot. She's going to send random people messages over the Fluid to invite them to the party. She'll also be out on the streets doing her usual trying to protect people thing but she'll leave them a birthday invite card when they meet up.

TDM Prompts: Looking to include the two prompts from the TDM in my open post/top level. So if anyone wants to get in a warehouse fight or escape a bloody elevator with Ruby I would be game.

Library:When not facing crumbling insanity Ruby will be more than happy to lead people to the library for some safety. She'll be picking up a book of fairy tales from her own world that she'll be happy to read to people to calm down.

Deer: Instead of the monster form, Ruby has died once in game so this would be a good opportunity to fall into her Deer form for a little. Just one goth rose deer out guide people to safety and give her a break from her own crumbling sanity.

Event Ideas: I'll likely be putting up an event toplevel/open post for this guy and/or tagging him around. And as I've been poring over the weapons, Jack is finally getting his Much Desired Sword. Finally, the squire to Ten's knight errant has a sword...

The Librarian: He's holing up with the Doctor and they're spending some time with Crowley and Aziraphale, so he may not be at the Library much.

Blood Fever: Not happening, but he'll help anyone who's trying to calm down someone who succumbed to it.

Valley of the Dead: He'll be willing to help anyone out of the log-jam of the dead and dying.

Descent: Not happening, as the Doctor will be keeping him fairly close to home and therefore grounded.

My Guiding Moonlight: Might be a low chance of this, and if it does happen, he'll be turning into a werewolf. Fusion may lead one to finding oneself in a space similar to the Torchwood Three Hub

●He was recently gifted a Final Destination book, so if anyone would like to play around with that Fern can now see real and fakeout deaths 24 hours in advance. I'm totally open to him helping or warning people, or trying to and failing miserably! 

General event
●Fern can be found sticking near 25 Raccoon Alley to support Varian when he loses his leg, as well as out and about trying to fight monsters, save people from dying, and doing antidote/moon essence/supply deliveries. He's part of FEAR and taking Vira-Lorr's instructions very seriously.

Valley of the Dead
●Since he'll have amnesia, I might have him see some past Sleepers in the bodies.

My Guiding Moonlight
●Rose monster Fern will make a reappearance! He'll be attacking Sleepers, so if someone is looking to kill off their character he's an option. Alternately, him fighting other Sleeper monsters would be fun!
●Like last year if anyone wants to boss him around as a weapon he'll be taking those kinds of orders.
●Leaning more towards someone managing to guide him back to his ghost tattoo rather than the Pacific Rim option, but if anyone has any specific ideas let me know.

Part 2:
● The Descent: Korra will he haunted by the people she faced in her past, issues she thought she was done with, namely Zaheer and Amon and Unalaaq. She'll fall into the Descent. Since I do want her to change, I'm not sure how interactive this part with be, but open to ideas!
● The Monster: Korra will turn into a Dark Avatar like monster and will try to destroy parts of the town. I'm open to folks:
● Fighting her / getting killed by her
● Finding her tattoo and sharing her Headspace, and try to get out together
● A friend helping her get out of her monstrous form

Since Ichigo doesn't wanna be home for reasons listed below, I'd love to have him hanging out in the library more when he isn't out killing monsters(maybe he kills YOUR monster???) or trying to save people/escort them between safe places. While unraveling himself. Fun times.

Should Ichigo go out of Deerington to... explore or whatever, its only gonna add to his descent below. I'm also open to the bodies in the street, if anyone wants to. Save, be saved from being crushed or drowned in the streets.

So… Ichigo, being tortured by his lovely bff Annabelle, is absolutely gonna go crazy. He was already unraveling before the event hit (and I will be posting a network post asking for HELP with her before all of this). His kigurumi (tyty Usagi) would be helpful if he weren't legit worried about sleeping/making sure Annabelle doesn’t torture Orihime in the first place. I would love for someone to pull him out of it but…. See below.

My Guiding Moonlight

I am totally open to turning Ichigo into a monster, if no one bites on trying to snap him out of his insanity!! He would likely wind up turning into his handy dandy Hollow form and rampaging like a MFer if I wound up going this route, so if you wanna see some action, gotta be the center of attraction wanna have your character die or kill a fierce ass hollow Ichigo, I'm throwing this down as an option! Doesn't even need to be prior CR, so if you see this and think fuck yeah, poke me here or on any of the listed places above!

Ichigo also has a vial of Moon Essence, so if you need a saving from being a monster, he can be your guy!

I'm flexible as hell and am open to any and all ideas! Just come at me bros!

So we talked about doing things before, when I had Annette around, but timing didn't work out super well unfortunately. I would definitely like to try and get CR together with Ichigo, though.

I could volunteer Jubilee (who does know Orihime!) to help out with the Descent and keep him steady? She's had all sorts of training to cope with mental problems since she became a vampire and might be able to offer some help. Alternatively if you want someone to fight, she's a vampire superhero with some heavyweight super-tech, and she's willing to throw down!

Makoto Kino: Makoto will be spending most of the time that she's not running around as Jupiter cooking and delivering food to those in the library and F.E.A.R. headquarters. At least up until her death. As the month progresses she'll look a bit rough from not sleeping enough, but will see fine otherwise since she's not falling the madness or becoming blood drunk. She's just going to be working so much that she kind of forgets about that until she's too tired to move and with no day/night it's hard to keep track of time.

Sailor Jupiter: Jupiter will be out constantly to help those who are either caught outside. More than once she'll probably wind up caught/trapped with the wall of bodies. But won't be crushed. So if your character needs a hero, here she'll be.

Death: Makoto is going to be dying sometime towards the middle of the month by Serenity. She will be watching Usagi/Serenity slowly devolve because of everything, and Makoto will probably yell at anyone using moon essence because of it. This is her first death, and those who come across the ghost will see it seems to argue with someone before vanishing in a blinding light. Those who get too close will be urged to get back or run.

So, I believe we've discussed a Jupiter/VL tag-team. An early option might be a rescue of Vira-Lorr from the piles of bodies (This affords the triggery and sensitive option of finding out about Vira's trauma over her first death at the hands of the zombie carpet).

Or, if you prefer to keep things more basic in that regard, we could angle towards the Frontier on a foray or patrolling for monsters with the two of them and let them be little badasses together.

RE: The Moon Essence, those who had it prior to this event, does she have opinions on its use? It might be an interesting talking point with the two of them if she can get out of Jupiter at least of 'why' she's worried.

She can probably be convinced to use only the antidote and put her two remaining essences into cold storage until after they can't be made again.

javert will be spending most of the first week inside his apartment, isolated from everyone and everything that's going on outside. eventually, he'll be driven stir crazy and will be out on the streets when the bodies appear. he may recognize some of the piles of the dead as soldiers and insurgents from the barricades, but he won't be terribly afflicted. he may need to be rescued at some point, or he can do the rescue himself, and tell other characters that this isn't the time to be grieving and they should get out.

he probably won't go to the library or any other safehouse on his own, so someone may need to convince him of that. he's been alone his entire life and he doesn't like asking others for charity so he won't seek out help unless he's forced to.

he may also need some medical attention as a result of the descent prompt. all the injuries he sustains will be from instances of self-harm, though they won't be terribly gruesome. just some cuts and scrapes that will need to be washed and bandaged. i'm not planning on having him turn into a monster for this event. i'm also open to having him snap other characters out their madness as well.
