Day to Day Activities: Ariadne spends a lot of her time in her rooftop garden, tending to her trees. She's super proud of it and happy to share, so feel free to stop by. She's often exploring, especially since she doesn't have modern conveniences at home. She likes to climb trees. Take the high ground. And she's going to start learning how to ride a bike in a few months. Pretty flexible and whimsical.

About This Character: You can find her app here. Ariadne is a friendly, sunny, optimistic manic pixie demon girl. She comes from a fantasy-medieval world, so she doesn't understand that reference. Ultimately, she's just a do-gooder who wants people to be happy and wants to learn to be part of your wooooooorld. Most of the time, she goes around looking like Natalie Portman, but she does occasionally regress to her "true" from, which is a green-skinned demonoid with blue hair.
Any Warnings: Her backstory is littered with racism, genocide, death, and terrible memories about fire. There are also occasions involving some bodily mutilation. These probably won't come up often.

Current Status: Ariadne's still adapting to the notion of living "openly," as an Alastrian, rather than pretending to be Human. Which means she's spending a lot more time in her true form. She's also picking up on some new technology and using it very badly. Her biggest hook right now is her magical garden (see above) and she is eager to share what she has with others because she's just a goodie-two-shoes.
Plans: No real big plans right now, to be honest. She's mostly enjoying the dance at the event, looking fine while doing it.

Day to Day Activities: hecate has literally just got here and doesn't have a routine yet, though she's either doing some magic at home or maybe (slowly) walking the town to know its layout, though not really engaging in anything or with anyone

About This Character: hecate on the outside is a stern af disciplinarian of a witch. she is very traditional in her witching practice and beliefs in the craft, keeps herself very distant from others and has little hope or regard for others. really, she's a loyal af witch to those that she holds dear, will go to bat for her beliefs and cares more than she'll ever let on. she's tough but fair, firm and wants her witches to do well. she's prickly and judgemental to begin with but deerington's already given her a couple of situations where she's needed to relax that guard to help or work with others.
Any Warnings: content warnings from her app: parental neglect, isolation, self-destructive behaviour. she won't openly talk about any of them, though the isolation particularly comes up in her thoughts.

Current Status: she arrived at grady hotel and to the party, so aside from her tdm people actually got to meet hecate with her softer side. and then re-meet her with her walls back up. after the party, eda's managed to convince her to be luz's magic teacher so that's a thing she's privately getting involved in. aside from that? unless you're magical or showed her some power she is 100% hiding that she's a witch as in her world magical and nonmagical people don't mix, and nonmagical people don't know about magic. for ~reasons.

Plans: plans are currently to get her magic stuff with eda and luz set up, panic about her magic not working properly after she starts using it and seek out some of the stones etc that are i believe at the sinkhole? like really panic and be driven to find a solution. magic being broken is yikes.

Looking forward to doing more with Peter and Hecate (and I'm totally fine if you want to let that tdm thread go if it's getting to be too old / handwave the rest)! She still Intimidates Him but she Helped Him and he won't forget that, y'all.... I'm also excited to see how it might play out if he discovers she's a witch / magical.

I also think it would be cute (I say, about a demon from a devastating horror canon) if Paimon could maybe learn some things from Hecate too, at some point! Though he can't do witchcraft / spellwork, he does have powers that connect to witchy themes. For example, one of his abilities is that he can create familiars for people! The mods gave me permission to let him do this to animals around Deerington, but he's still very fucked up and can't really access his powers well all the time. I could see him asking Hecate for help / information about things? Plus she's a witch to potentially help his baby witch Luna out, and he'd be very thrilled about that.

Day to Day Activities: When he's not trapped in an evil hotel, he has a fairly regular daily routine that involves being at the FEAR compound in the lab and likely exercising if he's feeling up to it. He can be found doing the food shopping to save Cecil the trauma of having to go into grocery stores.

About This Character: Carlos is a scientist that studies anomalous phenomena and has spent the past several years in the scientifically fascinating community of Night Vale. He is quick to get involved, often risking his own safety for the sake of knowledge. His definition of science ("I don't know, but I'm trying to find out, okay?") suggests both his love for his field and his frustration with the occasionally trying process of finding answers. But he wants those answers, no matter where the process takes him.

Any Warnings: Carlos is accustomed to Deerington-levels of strangeness thanks to living in Night Vale. He may make comparisons that reference secret government organizations, shadowy cabals, strange phenomena, and angels. Carlos has some trauma in his past, but he avoids speaking of it for the most part. He has some memory loss (he does not remember how he got to Night Vale).

Present Life: Carlos is newly engaged to Cecil and had one hell of a time in the Hotel. He'll probably be recovering from that for a hot minute.

Day to Day Activities: Monday-Friday she's an underachiever at highschool. She tends to skip the classes that don't interest her. During the evening and weekends she works on custom weapons for people, trains or just fight monsters. She also spends time at the local arcade, ice cream parlor and just anywhere that has food. In her own world she's a Huntress/Monster Hunter so she always has a blast when they show up around here.

About This Character: Ruby's a Huntress with the weight of the world on her shoulders. She's a cheerful bundle of energy who'll do anything to help people out, all while generally ignoring any of the trauma she's went gone through. She's very shonen protag and deals well in light hearted or more serious topics.
Any Warnings: There's going to be some loss of eye and adjusting to the lack of depth perception over the next month for sure. Vague mentions of grooming, death and grief as well but she tends to bundle all that up.

Current Status: At the end of the month Ruby's dealing with some friend betrayal and coming fresh off of having her left eye gouged out. She's going to be a little down in the dumps and adjusting to life with an eye patch. She's going to be looking into getting a prosthetic eye like in the icon here but that's a little further down the road.

She'll be coping a lot with that over the next little bit, as well as learning to fight and aim her sniper rifle without depth perception.

Aside from that she's always down to clown and have whatever shenanigans she can.

If anyone needs her to make a weapon she's still in business for that.
Plans: Current plans kind of tie in with reacting to her current status as that's a big status quo change for her.

Employment in Deerington: Eda's Oddities. It's a stand that moves around Deerington, so it could be anywhere on any given day, at any given time. There is no set schedule. Feel free to assume you bought something there, or reach out to her inbox if you want something special
Residence in Deerington: 999 Griggs Road
Day to Day Activities: Eda lives with Luz and Margot, and has a palismen (wooden, sentient, flying owl) named Owlbert. She's running her shop, scavenging for garbage in the junkyard, hanging out with her kids, flying around in the sky on her staff, challenging various children to bets.

About This Character: Eda is a witch, and a criminal, and an outcast in her world of the Boiling Isles. She's abrasive, and rarely serious. Some characters love her, some hate her. She's very unjudgmental about things that matter (identities, life philosophies, laws), but very judgmental about things that don't (soup, petty arguments). She's very tall, always wears red, has a mass of grey hair, and completely white skin, and is usually smiling or laughing.
Any Warnings: Eda comes with some mild body-horror stuff that can be avoided if you prefer! IE she can detach her hands and head without dying, and she turns into a giant monster sometimes.

Current Status: Eda is currently trying to figure out how to be a parent to two teenagers while surviving in Deerington. She is not a great parent, as traditional parents go, but she doesn't want to see either Luz or Margot get hurt. She's trying to do right by her kids, and recently got Luz a magic teacher, and is encouraging Margot to garden more.

Plans: In February (probably, pending the prelude and event), Eda and Varian are going to compete in a magic versus science grudgby match (imagine Quidditch meets rugby meets a magical obstacle course). Characters will be free to come watch the insanity.

She may also help Ruby magically vandalize the school. Open to more people getting it on this, or trying to stop it.

About This Character:
The Doctor is an alien who has lived for nearly a millennium. Due to this, The Doctor tends to be reckless and rush into danger. Ten also does enjoy an adrenaline rush. Ten is highly skilled in nearly all the sciences. The only sort of 'doctor', The Doctor isn't is, medical. His people did invent a way to time travel, after all. That and Transdimensional engineering
This particular face of The Doctor can love. Platonic, romantic, intellectual. Ten is also a flirt. Mind you, this is usually harmless. His hearts belong to Jack and Rose.
Ten can also be cold and unforgiving. Thankfully, this face, has a high-tolerance of being patient and understanding. Doesn't see things the way humans do.

Ten can be borderline suicidal but Ten has Jack and a good social network. So that shouldn't be a problem.

The Doctor also has PTSD from having been in a very long war. Due to this, The Doctor does not believe in guns. And tries to make killing the last solution.

At the end of the day, just wants to help everyone.

Current Status: The Doctor is still hiding that he's had other lives. He is playing a long game of space-chess with Bill Ciper. Ten has made some progress talking with Jack and a step towards, getting better with having been at war, in a past life. Researching Deerington.
Clara just came in and Ten is still feeling her out.

Varian | Tangled

Character Name: Varian
Age: 16
Employment in Deerington: Student in Deerington High School and works part-time in Petrova Apothacary.
Residence in Deerington: #25 Raccoon Alley with Glitch and Fern.
Day to Day Activities: He goes to school EVERY DAY because the little weirdo actually loves it- and of course, spends quite a bit of time at the apothecary. Otherwise, he's a pretty anti-social creature, he spends most of his time in his basement lab at home. When he can be dragged out into the light of day he can be found at the library a lot. He gathers supplies in the National Park and the junkyard- the latter of which is where his death statue is.

About This Character: A teenage alchemist with a mind that's firing way too many cylinders at once. Varian is obsessed with a Capital O about science and spends most of his time creating potions and machines to try and make the world a better place. He grudgingly knows a bit about magic, too- only because his world is chock full of it and his weirdo friends keep dragging him into their magical adventures. Science is superior though, prove him wrong!!
He's a reformed villain- having a rough patch in the middle there that he categorically will try to avoid talking about. He has a desperate need for praise and validation so if you give him that he will literally walk through fire for you. He's a righteous little shit who always thinks he's the smartest person in the room- but does genuinely want to do good in the world. He's often accompanied by his semi-sentient raccoon, Ruddiger or Actual Member Of The Corona Guard Maximumus.
Any Warnings: Varian has an absolute shed-load of self-loathing issues. The whole Former Disney Villain thing weighs heavy on him and he has a massive guilt complex about it. It's deeply unlikely he'll bring it up, but if he does there's parental magical not-death, kidnapping, drugging, attempted murder, prison and an attempted suicide mission.

Current Status: He's now moving around on his prosthetic leg which he made himself in all its steampunk glory. He recently went home on a canon-bump, taking him to the end of the Tangled series, where he got to do a lot of fun life-threatening stuff and got to his Happily Ever After which means being the Kingdom's Royal Engineer where he lives in the catacombs like a feral gremlin. It's the life he wants. He's going through some highs and lows of teen romance like a pro but that is starting to settle into a smaller, more manageable fire now.
Plans: Now he's back from his trip home Varian is even more invested in getting people free of Deerington- though he definitely wants to solve the issue of people forgetting everything when they go home because that's not okay. From his bump he now knows how to build a Stargate trans-dimensional portal- which he'll start to work on soon. Once built it will function as a teleporter through the town (and partly the layers) but tragically will not get anyone out of the dream. He's also got a magic v science Gurdgeby match with Eda which is probably going to be a terrible error on his part. As a heads up, he's going to get murdered by Maul when he goes on his killing spree in March and have his 2nd in-game death- just in time for Varian's 1 year anniversary in the game. When he comes back, he won't remember any of his villain arc- so he's going to be significantly less traumatised and a lot more chipper than usual. Enjoy that.

CR You Want: Anyone! Varian is a weird kid who's friends back home are almost all adults, so he gets on with adults better than he does people his own age. That said, he's finally getting used to having other teen friends, please help him be a normal teenager, he has no idea how to do that. He's also really easy to get negative CR from, so if you want that, go for it. He's an opinionated little shit and very good at getting on people's bad sides.

OOC Limits: I'm generally easy-going (I write horror for the indie market, but I have a few things that are my no-go's: Intergenerational incest, overly and unrelentingly grim content lacking any hope spots, cannibalism of the unwitting variety (ie, a character being served the Other other white meat without knowing what it is), completely dismissive attitudes toward religion/belief systems (critical, yes; acting like religion is wrong by nature and religious people are stupid or backward, no thank you).

Character Name: Clarke Griffin
Age: 19
Employment in Deerington: Currently unemployed for now, she's kinda freelancing being a medic and helping where she can. She'll probably look into something for that a bit later but it'll most likely be the hospital.
Residence in Deerington: 1436 Gatlin Drive, Clarke Acres
Day to Day Activities: She's still trying to get used to things here so at most she is probably exploring when she can while lowkey being a loser who has been journaling and writing notes about her time here so far, doodling in her sketchbook and having daily conversation to her friends with a radio that does not work. You know, in between dealing with the shenanigans that happen in this place.

About This Character: Clarke was born in space and thrown into post apocalyptic Earth where she soon takes on the the role of being one of the leaders of the delinquents. She is the medic of the group once they are on the ground and she tries her hardest to keep her people safe and circumvent wars between the Grounders or any other threat constantly trying to survive. She can be a bit standoff-ish, way too serious for her own good and most of the time she can come across like a bossy know it all without realizing since she comes across as very authoritative with the confidence to match. Clarke does have some trust, self loathing issues and a huge guilt complex going on but she's loyal and stubborn to a fault while being pretty selfless when it comes to protecting her people and those she considers to be her friends.

Any Warnings: Death, loss, murder, torture, suicide ideation, violence, survivor's guilt, PTSD, paranoia, etc. Much of this won't really even come up aside from the occasional introspect because her canon is a disaster.

Current Status: Clarke survived Praimfaya (aka apocalpyse 2.0) !! because Nightblood is a thing which actually worked so she didn't die like she thought she was going to. The down side is that being she was the last person left on Earth so she has been living in isolation and trying to do her best to survive so with ending up in Deerington, it honestly feels like a fever dream to her so between being new here and all, she is she tries to get used to being around people existing again and how things are so much different here with what's available compared to things back home. She's very suspicious of all this and has been trying to focus on figuring it out since she doesn't really buy any of this.

Plans: I would love to have Clarke get to the point where she starts opening up to and start to trust people more over her time here so right now my plans just involve building up her CR and seeing where that goes.

Additionally she has Sodder's Ring in the raffle last year and something I want to play around with is the fact she can now be invisible when/if she uses it and the additional effects from wearing it which include being able to pick up thoughts + impressions of memories for people nearby because I think it could be a fun cr opportunity! I'll be tossing up a permissions post later but if anyone has any interest in that please hit me up.

About This Character: Wei Wuxian is a pretty friendly guy and willing to talk to anyone. He likes to drink and have fun but this has been tempered a little by the rough experiences he has had in this place. So he'd love to have some drinking buddies when things are a little too rough.
Any Warnings: Wei Wuxian has a lot of death, murder, and bad things in his past. He is also basically a necromancer who uses resentful energy and the dead to fight for him. Just don't ask about that and you can still enjoy his lighter side.

Current Status: He's fairly happy and content even despite the circumstances. He's married to his soulmate and basically works from home helping people. But he is a little restless and doesn't trust this place. So he would like to branch out and find more allies in this uncertain world.

About This Character: Fai comes from late in the Tsubasa manga so he has a black eyepatch over one eye and his good eye is a golden color. He is a vampire but he doesn't have the same blood lust that most do. He really only needs the blood of one person to survive. Besides that he is upbeat and friendly and a lover of desserts and sweet things. He is an excellent cook and loves to talk (as long as it isn't about himself).
Any Warnings: Fai is a vampire so typical blood and vampire things are possible.

Current Status: He's still trying to get used to the way the world likes to change and make things hard on everyone. He just moved in with Kurogane and they are making slow but adorable progress in their 'relationship'. Not that he is going to be willing to tell anyone about that. For the most part he is still fairly upbeat and happy to meet everyone.

Day to Day Activities: You're always welcome to assume that you can find Wes around his barbershop, Manes on Main, or providing ASL instruction either at Deerington Community College or privately around town. He also often hangs around Grady's shop, Hart's Desire Pawnbrokers, and can be found around town hunting down interesting objects and curio to add to the stock. Since he's taken to creating his own health and beauty products for his shop, you can also locate him foraging around the park and in the woods.

About This Character: Wrench is a former hitman who worked for -- and was largely raised up within -- the Fargo crime syndicate. SPOILERS: He's taken from a canon point where he's five years out from the incident that killed his former partner (dividingline) and completely obliterated Fargo. The five years prior were largely spent with him on the run. Just before his introduction to Deerington, he was captured and on his way to federal prison.
Any Warnings: Because of Wrench's background, both his canon and his personal history are heavy on gun violence, general violence, murder, torture, and kidnapping. I also assume based on canon clues that he was coercively kidnapped as a child and groomed to become a hitman, and that his early life contained elements of child abuse.

Current Status: The biggest thing Wes is contending with right now is the aftermath of his death in late October. Because of the side effects of dying twice, he lost a significant portion of his pre-Deerington memories for about two months, and only really fully gained back his whole sense of himself and his life before this place in late December. Forgetting and then remembering again sent him into a little bit of an existential crisis, and he's still having trouble coming to grips with the fact that he's done what he's done, and that his whole life seems awfully irredeemable.

Plans:
◦ He's been learning magic from some folks, and I'd like to continue with that. The more opportunities he has to expand his understanding of the magical and gain new skills, the better.

◦ Right now, he's pretty susceptible to being used for nefarious purposes, because he sees himself as so irreddemable. If you need a trained hitman to do your bidding, you might well be able to convince him to comply.

◦ American Sign Language students are always welcome, either via Deerington Community College or private instruction. Wrench would love to trade knowledge and talent, so if your character has a cool skill to share and would like to learn ASL in exchange, please hit him up.

Day to Day Activities: Fern attends school during the day. He also has regular training sessions with a bunch of people, and regularly trains other cr in how to defend themselves.

About This Character: Fern is the result of Adventure Time's main character, Finn, getting turned into a sentient sword and then merging with another sentient cursed sword, the Grass Sword. He's now made out of grass and has various plant powers, and has two separate minds making up his Fern self: a human teenager who grew up in a post-apocalyptic Earth (and used to be a cosmic entity of change), and an eldritch horror octopus-spider. Fern's self esteem is essentially non-existent so he's often extremely self-loathing, and he generally thinks violence solves everything. On top of all that he has severe problems with his identity, having lost his previous one as Finn, and frequently questions his personhood. 
Any Warnings: Being made out of grass Fern comes with buckets of body horror! On top of that he has low self-esteem, and has a lot of issues with his identity. He also has very violent tendencies and his past involves violence against children, death and parental neglect/abuse. Grass Demon comes with cephalopod and spider imagery.

Present Life: Fern has finally stopped repressing the existence of the Grass Demon! Not keeping it in his mental vault is a huge step for him, and he's still working on what this means for him and his identity. He's doing pretty good so far, all things considered.

Fern has also begun extremely informal training sessions with several other characters to improve their skills to fight and defend themselves. It's mainly for kids/teens though he's happy to give adults some pointers, too. He's pretty flexible on what he can teach, both hand-to-hand and various weaponry. Eventually he plans on building a whole deathtrap obstacle course to go along with this because he's a feral gremlin.
Future Ideas: Fern's relationship with Varian is progressing nicely, and he's started to talk about it with his cr. You know what he needs? Love advice. He's never dated a human or a boy before, please give him any and all relationship advice, no matter how sketchy or terrible.

Portals portals portals. Thanks to Varian's canon update, Fern having the Enchiridion, and Bill being Bill, Fern has been slowly expanding his discussions of creating a working multiverse/interdimensional portal with them. He doesn't feel he can go back to Ooo, and Varian asked him to go back to Corona with him, and he has a lot of cr that have problems back home he wants to help with, so he wants to go portal hopping to solve their problems and live a good, non-dead life.

Fern is also going to be involved in Maul's breakdown in March. He won't be dying, but he'll be severely injured. His birthday is also on March 14th and he'll be turning 18, so yaaaay going to have an excellent birthday!

Residence in Deerington: Mirai lives in a 2 bed, 2 bath house on 26 Main Street. Pyrrha lives with Nora at 6009 Swan Lane.
Day to Day Activities: Mirai will be going to work and school mostly. Otherwise, she sort of just stays at her house. She has been learning how to cook and bake from time to time.

Pyrrha will be pretty much doing the same as soon as I actually sign her up for stuff as I meant to when I brought her in. Otherwise, she has her hands full with dealing with Remnant baggage and hanging out with her friends.

About This Character: The best way to understand Mirai can be found on her information post going over various things. I knew that because she's an original character, I should have something to go over details.

The important thing to know about her is that she's a Mahou (magical girl) who's slowly dying due to circumstances with her magic. Her world is awful and basically dead; quite literally between the number of people left and the land itself due to overuse of magic and Cadavers. They're creatures who have shown up in reaction to the overuse of magic and devour any and all in sight. Think like... Titans from AoT, Aragami from God Eater, or Grimm from RWBY. They're something like that.

The main thing that's been very obvious in her time here so far is that she's very lonely and has sort of PTSD from seeing so many people die in front of her or around her. She will absolutely act like nothing is wrong and put everyone else above her every time. She's also likely to push herself too far for other peoples' sakes. She also thinks that she's cursed because of verbal abuse from past family members and events.

Pyrrha -- on the other hand -- is a friendly Huntress who's more polite than she should be and has a bad habit of saying "I'm Sorry" every chance she can get. She's a seasoned warrior and very talented when it comes to fighting. She's taken from the end of Season 3, so I'm not sure if this still counts as spoiler warnings at this point in time. She's been trying to cope with what's happened on top of everything going on in Remnant after that that she's been told about.
Any Warnings: It's probably good to mention that Mirai's world is awful and she's from a bad world. Otherwise, Pyrrha does come from a sensitive time point and as pointed out about, I'm not sure if this still counts as spoilers now. Just know she does come after Season 3 so there's a lot of baggage.

Current Status: I would love for more people to find out about Mirai's past and just really explore the part of her that she often pretends is fine. Underneath the fake smiles and denial, she's really not doing okay.

The other thing I've started is the ticking time bomb with her. There are a lot of different reasons for it that you can read in her information post, but Mirai is slowly dying because there is no way to stop using magic. Over time, that means that she's going to die a lot sooner than a normal human would because of technicalities that I can go into if someone wants to ask. I won't bore you here with them. At the moment, she's just feeling more fatigued than normal, like she never gets a restful night of sleep.

Pyrrha is just trying to deal with a second chance at life and what's going on back home. If nothing else, I'd like for her to overcome that and make the best of her time here.
Plans: I have no real plans aside from Mirai's thing, but I'm open to anything!

CR You Want: Honestly, Mirai just needs some friends. I'd love for some found family if it happens and maybe a ship for her with the right CR. Romance really depends on CR and if it happens, so I don't want to push anything unless it works out that way and the other person is up for it. It doesn't hurt to have people who can call her out on her bullshit when she pretends that everything is fine when she's not.

About This Character: Mako's app is here for a more in-depth explanation, but basically: a former street kid-turned-old timey detective from his canon's version of the 1920s who can control fire & lightning. After growing up on the streets and being the sole caretaker for his younger brother, Mako's got an outsized sense of duty and a need to keep the few people he loves extremely safe. He's also kind of an awkward, easily-flustered nerd who takes a little while to pick up on social cues and has to write down cool one-liners for himself to remember to say at criminals later.

Current Status: Now that Mako's recovered from the death flu that took him out in December, he is throwing himself hard into solving Deerington, which is... obviously not going to work, but he's Doing His Best. He's also juuuust starting to get the idea that there might be something in the feelings department happening to him re: Wu, and trying to deal with some Sexuality Issues. Plans: I'm looking to get him involved in some of Deerington's metaplot and specifically the mini-events, so if anyone wants to do some exploration of those, hit me up! Mako's heard and read a lot about Deerington's mechanics but has yet to experience the deepest parts himself. About This Character: Sakura is the most sunshiney, optimistic, naive and gullible girl. She's pretty much willing to befriend most anyone and gets along with most everyone (except if you are Touya or Kero who tease her and eat her food!). She comes from Japan (Tomoeda) and is the athletic sort with regards to school. Sakura hates Maths and also ghosts. She is Not A Fan after her older brother telling her about the ghosts he could see. (She can sense then but can't see them so it Creeps Her Out, basically). She is a direct descendant of the previous most powerful magician, Clow, with his reincarnation (okay, half of his reincarnation) being her father, Fujitaka. Her mother died when she was like, three, so Sakura p much doesn't remember Nadeshiko apart from photos and stories her family tells her about her mother.

Because of this she got caught up in this whole adventure with collecting these cards she found and accidentally scattered of Clow's. Then she made them into cards under her own magical power. And then started getting crazy powerful and just straight up creating new cards from her mere desires/wishes.

Any Warnings: Child endangerment?, Near drowning and Falling off of cliffs (thanks Illusion! Rude.), Death/Loss of parents, threatened memory shenanigans?

Current Status:

Sakura's stuck at the hotel this month but will get back and find that her meguca friends are gone. So next month will be her dealing with that? She hasn't actually. Ever been alone like this before, hence me now debating on having others move in with her or her moving in with friends. But that aside, she's pretty much managing as well as could be expected. Kinda possibly still a little spooked with the peep hole and reminder of Illusion there.
Plans: I can't think of any off of the top of my head aside from her probably having a lot more food than usual if she sticks at her current place. Thus she might (or might regardless) offer some leftovers to others. My main plans are p much a network post around her housing situation at the moment and I'll prob toss her at the event next month too, looking at the test drive prompts if anyone wants to do something there.

As far as March goes in the more distant future yet, I plan on her being involved in Maul's player plot. So yes she will

Day to Day Activities: You can usually find Orpheus somewhere around town playing his guitar or his lyre - he wanders and finds new spots to play pretty regularly, but the ones he tends to come back to are the roof of the apartment building under one of Ariadne's fruit trees, the college campus, Ring Around the Rosies (the flower shop) and a couple of different clearings in the woods. If you catch him doing this you're likely to find him surrounded by birds and other local wildlife, as his music has the effect of charming animals when he plays. He waits tables at the diner and usually sings while he works, and plays at Pixie's on weekends in the evenings. If you live in the apartments or have visited you may have noticed the smell of something burning coming out of his apartment - he burns offerings to the gods (usually scraps of meat) at least once a week.

About This Character: Orpheus comes from an adaptation of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice that's set in a vaguely American, vaguely Dustbowl-esque time and place, with the key difference being that the Greek gods are still worshiped and in power, manifesting in and manipulating the physical world. Orpheus specifically is the son of the muse Calliope, and as such is a supernaturally talented musician whose songs have the power to do all sorts of various nonsense. He's a sweet and kind-hearted individual as well as a little bit naive and lacking in social skills - though the recent loss of his wife has put a dent in his previously rosy worldview somewhat.
Any Warnings: Subjects that tend to come up around Orpheus a lot are grief/loss of a loved one with suicide-like undertones in that she chose to go to the Underworld in this adaptation, famine/natural disasters, and parental abandonment. Give me a heads up if you'd prefer to avoid any of these and I can either have Orpheus steer the conversation away from them when tagging you or just not tag you at all!

Current Status: Orpheus's main thing right now is, as per usual, trying to figure out a way to rescue Eurydice, again. If your character is involved in the afterlife at all or has come back from the dead, he might have questions for them!! There's also the obstacle of how he's found out people who "go back home" or canon-update in Deerington don't remember things that happened in-game when they go, so any information he gathers would immediately fall out of his head on waking up, so he's trying to find workarounds for that too. It's probably not going to be super productive for him, but he's trying. He also likes Cynthia Sodder (one of the NPCs) a lot and thinks of her as a sort-of friend, so any miniplots or information regarding her is something he's likely to get involved with.
Plans: In terms of plans I mostly want to get him talking about some of his issues more - Orpheus has a tendency to just assume bad things that happen to him are his fault and that he's not allowed to be mad or upset about them because of it, and it's going to take a lot of work to pry some of the things he's been sitting on out of him because of it. The main thing bothering him right now is feeling sort of betrayed by Eurydice going to the Underworld and signing her life away, but again, he's so convinced it was because of him in the first place that he's not letting himself be upset about it.

CR You Want: Orpheus is a very social person and always on the lookout for new friends, and by extension so am I (on his behalf)!! I'm happy for negative CR too, of course, but he's kind of a puppy so that might be a little difficult with him. More specifically, though, I'm always a big fan of throwing him at other musicians, especially people looking to learn to play the guitar (or the lyre, I guess) or who'd be willing to teach him how to play something new!! I'm also very interested in having people familiar with Greek mythology meet him, because that's awkward for him and he doesn't like it and I enjoy putting him in that position.

About This Character: Luz is an energetic, trope saavy fourteen year old girl who is apprenticing to be a witch! She's got short brown hair, an energetic disposition, can sometimes be seen with her witches cloak! She comes from the regular human world but once she stumbled into a world of demons, witches and magic called the Boiling Isles, has dedicated herself to learning all things magical and slowly getting used to the strange.

Any Warnings: She might be a little hard to handle in her curiosity and her willingness to help, but she's mostly trying to make people comfortable. Is also a bit of a cinnamon roll, so cursing's going to be out for her (unless she does it in Spanish, and even then its in certain circumstances). Otherwise, she's almost always going to be curious about the vibes of the person she's talking to. She does sometimes get a little self deprecating, mostly as a way to divert praise and to make the other person more at ease.

Current Status: Luz is getting her feet wet right now. She's studying with a new witch teacher, living with her witch mentor and a newly acquired wolf sister, making a little family home! She's also taking training lessons from anyone offering and recently decided to opt out of the school in favor of her independent witch studies. She's also learning everything she can about Deerington and hoping to be more of a help now that she's had a taste of what happens to the Sleepers on a monthly basis.

Plans: Yes. For one thing, I'd definitely like Luz to get involved with more characters close to or around her age, and get a feel for how diverse kids can be from different worlds. My goal is to mature her a bit by having her see both the good and bad of the world(s) out there and how they can affect the way a person acts. I'm also aiming to have her attempting to help kids get involved with fighting off some of the darker aspects of Deerington: how it affects them and how they're still dealing with stuff from their world. Obviously Luz won't be separated from this, as she is also dealing with her own issues, slight as they are from some of her peers.

I'm also hoping to get her more involved with magic, her canon gives me a little room to play but I wouldn't mind mingling it with some of the other canons as well.

About This Character: App + powers+etc here! The tl;dr is that Syaoran's the descendant of a powerful magician and next head of his clan, and acted the Designated Ice-King Magical Rival in his series until he got a blow to the feels and fell in love with his rival and became Designated Boyfriend instead. Oops. He starts the series as a grumpy, aloof, jerk-ish kid, but becomes a lot softer, nicer and attentive as time goes on, and overall he's a generally kind kid and good bean who's incredibly honest and straightforward! He sort of comes across as an old guy in a kid's body with how serious and mature he is, but he's also stupidly gullible and innocent and would probably fall for any bullshit story should anyone feed him one. (He also flusters and blushes more than the actual heroine of this shoujo series, so--) He also stresses a ton about people he cares about/those close to him and tends to get very protective of them, which... you know, probably doesn't make things all that easy for him here
Any Warnings: There's some mild child endangerment and threats of memory manipulation in the original/current series, and he's also from an on-going installment of the manga, so spoilers are likely for that!

Current Status: Syaoran's had a relatively chill couple of months since the last CR meme, and aside from his injuries from October being completely healed up and exploring around the Hell Hotel, he doesn't really have much going on! He did get a recent jolt of trauma thanks to the Peephole prompt from the TDM rehashing his October memories, and he has been slowly... slowly opening up about what happened then to folks, but it's about time he actually has a decent talk with people about it. As of right now, he's trying to not get ahead of himself too much with plans here (since it wound up biting him in the ass last time), and he's just dealing with things as they happen!

... that said, he's still keeping a super close eye on Sakura now that she has her card creating ability back, and he just found out that one of his friends wound up in a Really Bad magical contract (HI DIPPER), so not everything is sunshine and roses with him right now, but it's better than it has been.

Plans:

- Depending on how things go when they return back to the town, Syaoran might be living with Sakura...! Though it depends on who else offers/what Sakura winds up choosing, though he's definitely going to make sure she's not by herself since he's a big worrywart

-And on the subject of Sakura... she might be getting seriously hurt/killed thanks to Maul's plot in March!! So that's definitely going to screw him up in a ton of ways, and he's probably going to need people to settle him down or stop him from doing something extremely stupid (aka trying to get revenge on Maul which will not end up well for him WHATSOEVER)

- Now that he's properly healed, it'd be neat to have someone to do magic sparring stuff with him! He's been using his magic more and more now that he has his Stability Stone, but it'd be awesome if he had someone to practice with and test the limits of his abilities here!

- I'd also really liked to get him a bit more involved with the Deerington metaplot stuff, so anyone who wants to do anything involving Great Sleep/mini-event stuff, hit me up!

Currently at home he's a sailor, and is traveling the world with his brother studying weird phenomena around the globe. Current Status: Alright, so most of Stan's energy lately is going into the Grand Opening of THE MURDER HUT, because scamming is all he knows how to do and he's run a successful shady business before! So far this has been him making very weird taxidermy things out of either bones from November or casts of them so he can hang onto the ones that are worth something. They're all generally based on extremely stupid puns and the idea is one part tourist trap one part crappy haunted house and one part buy his souvenirs already. He was going to open in January but since everyone got spirited away to the Grady, he's looking more at February! He also has a very bad truce going on with Bill Cipher, so we'll see how that pans out.

Day to Day Activities: Clarisse is at the Rec Center using the gym A LOT, like even if she's not there working she's probably working out or playing basketball or practicing her fighting, and if she's not there she's probably at her apartment being antisocial with her girlfriend. If she's outside she's most likely just wandering around town to burn off extra energy. She doesn't like... go to the arcade or the movie theater or do fun things unless someone else makes her. She just goes to the Hart Mart to buy Red Bull and grapes. She does have a sweet motorcycle, though.

About This Character: Clarisse is a demigod or half-blood. Her mother is a regular mortal lady and her father is Ares, the Greek god of war. When she was a preteen she was whisked away via satyr to live full-time at a special training camp for demigods, so she considers that her home, although once she turned 18 she decided to go back to Arizona for college and try to live a "normal" life (until she's inevitably eaten by a hydra, or whatever).

Clarisse is not a very nice person on the surface; she sucks at feelings and making friends, and tends to leave a bad impression at first (and sometimes forever). She is secretly a softie, though, and she's incredibly loyal, so if you manage to break down her walls she will be your best friend ever. She's really into fighting and weapons of all kinds, and (sort of related) she has major dad issues, which I'll get into below. She also has a ton of self-loathing and regret over some things she's done that got her best friend killed, ended her first relationship, and ultimately ended with her leaving camp. It's hard for demigods to reconcile the mortal and magic parts of their lives, and she is no exception, which means some things can be a touchy subject for her.

Any Warnings: So the Greek gods, as parents, are Not Great. They tend to be very absent in their children's lives (it's not uncommon for kids to either never find out who their godly parent is, or at the very least never actually meet them). Ares, in the Riordanverse, is the worst of a bad bunch. He is emotionally and physically abusive to his demigod children and when he does (rarely) interact with Clarisse, it's almost always to threaten her, belittle her, and make her feel like shit. He openly prefers his sons to his daughters. Ares is Clarisse's worst fear, and she's legitimately terrified of him, while simultaneously feeling like she needs to constantly prove her worth to him and make him proud of her. It's a lot! There's also the typical unsavory stuff that comes up in a lot of the Greek myths, which the series glosses over somewhat but still definitely happened. Also, demigods in the Riordanverse have never even heard of therapy, so she definitely has some PTSD regarding missions she's been on (specifically, everything involving the Labyrinth and the Battle of Manhattan), as well as other teenagers she's seen die.

Current Status: Right now Clarisse is just doing her thing. She's happily dating someone and has a solid few friends and a job she likes. She's trying to train her wayward skeleton horse to be battle-ready??
Plans: Right now a major plan for Clarisse is for her to stabilize her powers, which will have unintended consequences when she starts summoning zombified versions of people from other people's canons. You can read more about this and/or opt-in here. Otherwise I just want to build up her CR circle and see where things go! Also I'll probably kill her again at some point because demigods have a death wish.

Day to Day Activities: She practically lives at the library. She works there and teaches French there too. I think she's quietly trying to think of book-related events to host at the library because she wants to get Sleepers reading!

She teaches dance at the rec center, free of charge. In her spare (?) time, she hangs out at the park. She brings her own ceramic teapot and cup and sets up picnics for herself.

About This Character: Lucille is, to put it lightly, a monster. She is quiet, watchful, and intense. On the surface, Lucille seems elegant, graceful, and polite, but observant people might notice something 'odd' about her. She seems a little 'too' cold, and seems to vanish into her own thoughts at the strangest of times.

Underneath that well-mannered, rigidly polite demeanor is a rage-fuelled, tormented monster. Lucille's heart has hardened over time, and she's become capable of manipulating and murdering people without remorse.

Deerington has forced her to face herself on a number of occasions, and the ice around her heart has melted somewhat thanks to various interactions with other Sleepers. She wants to change, but she still isn't too certain that she can. She knows, after all, what she's likely to do if someone harms a member of her adopted 'family'. If someone harms her very exclusive group of friends.

Any Warnings: There may be references to murder, poisoning, manipulation, codependency, incest, injuries, depression, and suicidal ideation in Lucille's prose. She isn't likely to discuss her past with people outside of her 'circle', but it could come up in prose, for sure. I will always put up a CW warning, but PLEASE let me know if there's anything you want me to avoid.

Current Status: She's currently trying to control her murderous tendencies. She made a promise to some old friends that she'd change. They believed in her, and she doesn't want to disappoint them. She is struggling, however, because she's always believed that being a monster is just... her nature.

Thus, she's keeping herself BUSY. She's taken on the role of library manager, and she's teaching different subjects in an attempt to be 'normal'.

Plans: I don't have any major plans for Lucille at the moment. If you'd like your character to be a part of her classes, I'm more than happy to handwave/acknowledge that.

CR You Want: Lucille isn't all that social, but I would like for her to make more friends/acquaintances. I love it when she gets super protective over people, so more close CR would be great. If you want your character to be friends with a Victorian-era lady who will murder someone for you, Lucille's your girl. That said, I always welcome negative CR as well. About This Character: Beast Boy's a teen superhero who can turn into any animal he meets. He's very friendly and has a goofy sense of humor. Being a superhero, he's used to being a team player and has also had some experience as a leader with his own team, The Outsiders. He follows the moral code of most superheroes, although events in canon and his experiences in Deerington have had him face more complicated moral situations. He also carries his share of trauma with him, due to various people he's lost over the years.
Any Warnings: Gar won't necessarily bring his past up in casual conversation, but if he does, it does involve the deaths of others, including parental death (which also involves mind control-induced suicide). If Gar talks about his recent past back home, it would likely involve talk of human trafficking (a superhero varient involving exploitation of superpowers, including child soldiers and deaths of minors).

Present Life: One of the main developments for him over the past few months was that he unlocked dinosaur transformations after exploring the sinkholes! Also last month he got a bear weapon and also broke his arm in a car crash, but he has since recovered. That aside, he's mostly been just living life and rolling with the punches of Deerington's events.
Future Ideas: I'm mostly going with the flow and seeing how he develops through the game's events. I also keep on meaning to make posts where he watches tv shows from his canon (including one that his mom was in and one that he was in) as well as the old Teen Titans show.
