Welcome to the newest event! This is an exciting time and the event provides several chance encounters for your characters. Remember, everyone, all things in this game has consequences so don't think this will be the last you hear of this event.

Ideas/Wishes pertaining the event: re: 3rd oct, lo's gonna be outside when it happens, and he's gonna start vomiting blood. he's also going to reassure you that yeah, he's fine, but continue vomiting because GOD DAMN IT. at least he doesn't have insight?

otherwise, lo's going to be incredibly affected by the stench of blood both because of how nauseating it is and how... uh, "hungry" it makes him. so when he finds out about the incense, he'll take as much as he can out of the simple sentiment of "GOOD SMELL = GOOD EFFECT". well, that and it was used on him when he was a sickly kid, and he had enough catholic guilt experiences growing up in the 1800's that he remembers what incense means.

his house in dunwich hollow will have a huge hole in the kitchen from a teleporting incident gone wrong with henry. this will have the most incense given it's connected to the outside. logan's going to be anal enough that it won't run out, even when he leaves to do other things. you're free to assume this is a safe spot you can stay at, and hell, he'll awkwardly take you in. he'll also offer the sticks with incense hanging off them that i can't remember the name of, b/c he Cares. (sorta. mostly it's because he's disturbed by all this and he's an x-man and x-men are supposed to help.)

that being said, logan's going to actively try and find sodder with the fragmented message as clues. he's also going to take anyone with insight seriously if they tell him how fucked the world is now.

his tattoo (a VERY TINY heart-shaped two antlers on his left cheek) will glow, but he won't transform fully. i'd like one thread where he touches someone else's tattoo while they touch his and their no man's lands blend into one, only logan hasn't transformed so his "witch" is just the berserker in him split from his main personality (and heavily weakened!), and somehow the combination means he finds his precious item next to your character's and thus puts the pieces together quickly. :')

he's very much here for saving people from being beasts and/or witches, and if that happens after his experience in the blended no man's land, he'll know how to do so peacefully. if not, i'm v open to having him kill you; he's trying not to, but he's the best there is at what he does, and what he does best isn't very nice.

i won't be making an open toplevel this event for my own sanity, but i'm more than happy to make specialised starters for you.

Oh no the joint no man's land is cute. it'd compliment Rei's overzealous side pretty well.

Also if he's going after Sodder, it's entirely possible Rei might want to join him in that. He left an impression, for sure.

YELLS, I WAS ABOUT TO SAY I WANTED SOMETHING WITH REI/SAILOR MARS IN YOUR COMMENT since she won't be turning witchy so she and Logan can explore their joint NMLs together and figure it out together... while the other personalities go berserk and they have to ward them off. l a u g h s

BUT WOLVERINE AND SAILOR MARS, AMIRITE??? Plus I think the joint dream would give them that buddy cop bond that gets them to search for Sodder together in the second part of the event!

If Logan encounters Rei instead of Mars in the NML and you want him to team up with Mars for Sodder-searching, then honestly the fact that Mars'd know how to save people peacefully would be a big thing for him and he'll team up with her anyway even if he doesn't know who she is. :Dd IT'S A WIN-WIN SITUATION.

That works out pretty well! We can play the Mars/Rei thing by ear either way because if there's danger she WILL transform, and Logan can probably figure out why she's so 'eh' about mutants then. SO let's do the joint thing and all this!

I like the idea of teaming up, because man that is just some real comic book teamup nonsense right there. She can even fastball special him if need be.

Oh man, yeah, my idea is that Logan's part of the NML will be mostly dark purples/blacks/dark reds, with Sentinels trying to grab at them from where they've melded with the shadows. They're not the main threat though and aren't nearly as destructive as they are in canon, just your token HANDS EVERYWHERE monster in the token horror setting to immobilise you and force you to use more energy. The real threat's the berserker, who's basically Weapon X in Apocalypse or X-24 from Logan (2017), but he's just a person-shaped dog who can... probably fall prey to Rei's empath abilities, now that I think about it... :/a Although ngl, I'm highly tempted for the berserker to take the form of Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth, LMAO.

SO I guess Lo'll know that Rei is Sailor Mars after this? fantastic

I read your plotting comment and I saw she's going to be crying while transforming-- Logan's gonna be taking his incense around with him (not to mention reeking of it), so maybe being around him will calm her down somewhat? He won't get it at first, but once he puts together the fact that incense helps stave the transformation... well he'll try. :| And probably give her as much incense as he can, tbh. #trumama

If she forgets his name then she can't introduce herself. SOBS. But Lo's also gonna learn how to fix the transforming without killing c/o shenanigans with Rei, so when the incense he gives her inevitably runs out and if you need someone/want him to save her as well by delving into her No Man's Land, I'm down for it!

Oh that sounds awesome!!! She can also tell him her name and then forget it in that moment so when he starts calling her that she doesn't know who that is. That would TOTALLY freak her out. It might be fun. But I like all of these plans because Airy is going to be a mess.

Oh the plus side, she bounces back pretty well.

Also, do you want me starting this thread, or do you want me hitting up any of Airy's toplevels instead? I'm just asking because Logan's toplevel will only have specialised starters for people, so! :D

I'd really like more of this CR! I don't know how much you've got going on, but Blake would be down for so much here. I'm interested in Logan's No Man's Land. Blake would be interested in going around saving people.

I also like literally any and all random ass threads, so if we want to throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks, I'm down for that, too!

Also okay to defer to another time since I know you've had hella activity, so no sweat if you've got enough on your plate already. o7

LISTEN i listed all the threads i had to do just now so i could be sure i could take one more and i want blake in my liiiiife ;_;

I'm asking the mods right now if No Man's Lands can still be accessible if they've been cleansed through a ritual instead of violence, because if so then I really really really want Logan to teach Blake how to cleanse other people non-violently, SINCE I SAW IN YOUR PLOTTING COMMENT THAT HE DOESN'T WANNA KILL/BE KILLED. Logan's going to subdue his Host (taking the form of his brother, Victor!) with Rei Hino to ~purge himself of negative stuff~ at least this event, SO IT'LL BE... REALLY SOFT AFTER. VERY PURE.

If that doesn't work out though, Logan's gonna figure out incense staves off the transformation, and he'll be happy to give Blake a bunch and/or teach him how to make it. Alternatively they can escort NPCs to sanctuary at F.E.A.R. together? OR HE CAN GO AHEAD AND ENTER BLAKE'S NML AS THE POOR GUY STARTS TO GET UNSTABLE AND IS ON THE VERGE OF TRANSFORMING SINCE LOGAN KNOWS HOW TO SAVE HIM PEACEFULLY...

And either way I'm intending on having him investigate the thing with Sodder disappearing, so we can have them goofing off together then as well. >:3c

I screamed about the idea of a pure, soft boi, just saying. u_u How good.

Going down the list, I love the idea of teaching John non-violent options because that's his jam, either in NML or going over the incense production. Blake'll hopefully be meeting Rei or Mars this event, so they could bond over that, too, since she seems like a good (lost???) soul.

Blake's No Man's Land is only accessible through swapping or getting a bead on his trampy hip tattoo, but I'm not opposed to anyone going for either experience in NML. I'm playing with the idea of only the Host interacting, and maybe Blake being elsewhere as a person puzzles through the landscape.

Just some thoughts, so many optionsssss~ 😍

i went to read your CR comment, and if you want maybe lo can encounter Youko while he's hiding out in the forest? he's got the idea in his head to go somewhere isolated to cut himself up and see how far he has to go for his healing factor to turn on, and he'll prob smell youko at some point and then NOT DO THE HEALING FACTOR THING because what if this guy gets hurt ): so he goes to find the poor dude instead...

lo'll be taking incense with him in a thurible since he figured out early on that they warded the beasts away, so maybe that's how kurama finds out that the incense helps? and lo can calm him down and be a good x-man and help/teach him how to make some of his own (':

IIRC only people with Insight can actually physically transform into a Beast, but everyone's No Man's Land is inaccessible? I do know that knowing Cable's part of his world and also looks up to him as Wolverine would be added incentive for him to tap the tattoo on Cabes' shoulder to save him, tho. )':

At this point Lo's well-aware of how to save someone without killing them, so we can definitely have some peaceful fixing going on!! He promises he'll only kill what horrible monster things might appear on his way.......................

That being said, will Cabes' Host be the helpful sort to guide Lo around or TURBULENT WITH ROUGH AND POSSIBLY VIOLENT EMOTION?????

Anyhooooo, I just jettisoned that plot post because of it. I uh, have no idea what Logan would be saving him from, then. But I'll be happy to let you in anyway?!?
