Character Name: Kurt, The Incredible Nightcrawler, fuzzy elf, etc
Age: 41 (this month!)
Employment in Deerington: Pixie's Booze & Moves.
Residence in Deerington: In a cabin by Lake Tomie with wwrench, howlett, speed_of_snark & dividingline. It's crowded but wholesome.
Day to Day Activities: When he's not dealing with Deerington's usual nonsense, Kurt can be found running errands around town (usually hitting up the book store and the thrift shop), working at the record store during the day and in the bar underneath it during the evenings, or excercising/training in the National Park. Just Wholesome Elf Things.

He also occasionally runs a Sleeper Support Group at the college and karaoke nights at Pixie's once a month.

About This Character: Professional superhero, freelance dashing Robin Hood-esque adventurer (occasionally in space). Once studied to become a priest but didn't make it all the way because it turned out the whole thing was kind of a dream, because comics. Before coming to Deerington he was dead for a few years and fought his way back from Heaven via a battle with some demons (lead by his father) on a pirate ship. So, if anything, Deerington has been a nice break from all the weird shit in his life.

Any Warnings: Kurt's comments and posts may contain references to extreme violence, alcohol/substance abuse, suicide, sexual themes and death (just your average day on Earth-616). His posts and comments may also touch on religious themes relating to Catholicism, though not heavily.

Present Life: As time goes on, Kurt's becoming more settled and (knock on wood) happy in Deerington, though not without a few bumps in the road. He experienced his first death at the end of October last year and that was gnarly enough to not bear repeating, so he's definitely becoming more aware of the potential cost of remaining in the dream as well as the good things it has brought and continues to bring into his life. Coming to terms with the fact that he might not actually want to wake up (and that they might not have a choice in the matter) is an ongoing thread running through a lot of his time at the moment.

This last October was REALLY hard on the fuzzy guy. He got turned into a monster and hurt a bunch of people he cares about, which is pretty much his worst nightmare. He's trying hard to recover his faith and get back into a space where he can find some solid foundations.

Future Ideas: I'm always interested in testing the boundaries of Kurt's faith (in himself, in other people, in what he believes about the universe, etc). At some point I'm going to give him a nasty personal horror to contend with, though that's probably a little way down the pipeline.

# GRADY NUMBERS - dividingline

Character Name: Grady, Mr. Numbers, you fucking asshole, etc
Age: (probably very) late 30's.. ish
Employment in Deerington: Hart's Desire Pawn Shop, occasionally other associated businesses.
Residence in Deerington: In the aforementioned wholesomely crowded cabin with his husband and other co-conspirators (and sometimes at his apartment in David Cliff).
Day to Day Activities: Grady can mostly be found arguing with potential customers at his pawn shop, lurking with intent at Manes on Main, making himself useful running errands around town (which usually means spending way too long over breakfast at Dearly Diner) or just generally causing a nuisance anywhere between the town and the lake shore.

About This Character: A former hitman for the Fargo Syndicate operating out of Fargo, Minnesota, having been brought into the organisation from a young age along with his partner in everything, Wes Wrench. He'd still be there right now if he hadn't been literally stabbed in the back by Lorne Malvo. He spent his entire life until that point up to the eyeballs in violence, kidnapping, extortion, and all the trauma and mundane weirdness that comes with working for the mob. He has a tendency for self-destruction and being a constant thorn in everyone's side, but hey, if you want someone killed or run out of town, there's no better guy to ask.

Any Warnings: Grady comes from a violent canon with adult themes and he's also a wanted criminal. His comments/plots may contain references to murder, gang violence, torture, criminal activity, major injuries including throat trauma, alcohol/substance abuse, sexual themes and death. Real good times.

Present Life: There are two significant positives for being in Deerington for Grady: one, he's no longer dead. Two, Wrench is here. That's about it. He's been told to try and look at his second chance at life as an opportunity to make things better or be a better person, but a lifetime of expecting (or wanting) the worst out of people is making that difficult.

He arrived in Deerington in time to experience both the Titanic and Rapture and didn't do very well at coping with either, ending up on a backslide into substance abuse that ended with him stabbing John Blake in the side (sorry, dude) and generally going to a pretty dark place. Since coming back, he's decided to try to pick up the pieces and at least attempt to make amends, because he's starting to realise that he might be stuck in this place for good, and maybe there are worse things than death.

October was a tough month. Wes died in front of him and that fucked him up pretty hard, so he spiralled back into some bad shit. With November looking quieter so far, he's carrying a few more scars and trying to shore up what he has, but he's under no illusions that Deerington is a safe place to be.

Future Ideas: If he's going to survive in Deerington, Grady's going to need to come out of his shell, so I'd like to find some ways for that to happen. This will probably mean he'll have to hit a pretty hard rock bottom first, though. I'd like for him to find a little stability and start exploring the idea of living a life that isn't constantly on the run, as well as coming to terms with the fact that whatever happens in Deerington isn't going to last once he leaves. This isn't his second chance -- this is, in many ways, his only chance.

It's been a bit since Peter ran into Kurt, and I'd love to do something with him again sometime! I really love the thought of incorporating some of that faith / struggling with faith angle; Peter's kind of been.... gently thinking about religion / faith? He's never really had anything to believe in, but constantly sort of juggling the thought that having a demon inside of him makes him evil or "tainted". He actually went to visit the church here at Deer for the first time ever, and has been sort of quietly fostering thoughts of "maybe I could go back sometime." I could see him asking people who are devout, like Diarmuid and Kurt, questions about God and things in general, if that's ever a potentially soft thing you might like to do w that!

There's also opportunity to test Kurt's faith a bit with Paimon, who can definitely offer some antagonistic / negative demon-related things, if you ever want to explore that for Kurt! With him permanently regaining his powers, I'd love for him to psychologically torment some folks sometime. He could possibly fuel some bad demon memories for Kurt or something; basically I'm totally flexible and down to indulge if there's ever anything you'd like to do!

Age: Eons. He looks around early 30’s.
Employment in Deerington: He’s a bum. He’s an angel so he concerns himself with helping people and angels don’t take a fee for that.
Residence in Deerington: The Men of Letters Bunker between FEAR and Dorian Circle near the lake.
Day to Day Activities: Cas is normally out and about. This month he’s human so you’ll see him walking a lot and resting bc what is this exercise thing?! He’ll also be very interested in food so you’ll find him perusing interesting things to try before he can’t taste food again. When he’s got his wings you can usually run into him in the Deerington forest. He frequents a honeybee hive that he befriended. Otherwise, he flies around to various locations. Mostly, he spends his time helping where he can, dealing with monsters if they’re a nuisance, and with his nose stuck in a book.
About This Character:
An angel created to serve Heaven with a broken chassis. He feels too much, questions too much, and concerns himself with humanity too much. He’s an angel with free will who tries to do the right thing. He’s prone to deep loyalty and obedience. Cas and Castiel are two sides of the same coin. Rebel and Soldier. The rebel sees the world as what it could be and believes we can all do better, be better. He’s the type to fight and die for a cause because it’s the right thing to do. The soldier views the world as it is and prepares for it. Cold and unafraid, he considers himself disposable so long as the mission objective is met. In Deerington, he’s more of a wanderer, someone who comes and goes, concerning himself with helping the person in front of him (Cas), while searching for answers to get everyone back home(Castiel). You can expect deep conversations from him, or he’ll show up to help in whatever is needed be it a fight or something more mundane.
Any Warnings: Bastardization of religious concepts. Suicidal thoughts.
Present Life: The major thing going on with him right now is how to navigate the new wave of people from his world. With everyone from different timelines and points in time it’s a jungle out there! He also recently found the Men of Letters Bunker. He found the key in his basket earlier this month and finally found what it belongs. He's living there this month while he's human because he needs shelter instead of sleeping with the bees in the forest.
Future Ideas: Cas has been steadily working towards finding contentment, so he’s been pursuing new things and talking himself out of feeling guilty for doing so.

Day to Day Activities: Gerry can be found teaching art to the sleeper and townspeople youth of Deerington, which mostly involves him passing out paint sets and telling the kids to go to town, with a little bit of advice thrown in. He also hangs out with the rest of TMAcast over at Blackwood Run, and you can also catch him in the more nature-y parts of town just hanging out, having a smoke, maybe doing some sketches.

About This Character: Gerry was born into a family who was very active in his world’s supernatural underground but grew up to become a person who tries very hard to save people from said supernatural forces. He spent his teen years collecting cursed books, his adult years being haunted by a ghost tied to a particularly nasty cursed book, and then became a ghost himself. He can be pretty intimidating at first glance, but don’t let all the black fool you — he tries his best to help others, and really just wants to make some friends. Present Life: Like many other characters, Gerry is spending is November recovering from the shitshow that was October. He’s going to resume teaching his classes and also do a little Mount Rheum/sinkhole exploration. I’m especially interested in building new CR via this month’s insight touches, so let me know if you’d like to do that!
Future Ideas: Gerry had a pretty lonely life in canon, so mostly I am here to get him FRIENDS AND A SUPPORT SYSTEM and also open up a cool and fun tattoo parlor somewhere down the line. He’s also starting to process his ghost-related trauma, and that’s a journey I definitely want to keep exploring in-game.

About This Character: Essentially, Quentin Beck is an unstable asshole who will quickly turn on you if it suited his own plans. However, he also has potential to do great things as he has a genius talent for technology. It's just shame about the ego that goes along with it and his overcompensating for his insecurities and bitterness about feeling overlooked and under-appreciated for most of his life. He likes to project and think of himself as a hero when he often makes villainous choices to further his own agenda. He's a sociopath with narcissistic tendencies but also can seem very friendly and even supportive, when he wants to be.
Any Warnings: Beck was neglected as a child and emotionally abused by a father who frequently either ignored him or told him he was a useless waste of space. His father would regularly 'speak' to his deceased wife, Beck's mother, as if she was still around and also tell her how useless their son was. This made young Quentin feel invisible, unwanted and gave him a complex about being ignored.

Day to Day Activities: He'll often patrol the streets, keeping an eye out for any general trouble and helping where he can.

About This Character: After a rough childhood (see warnings below), Loki joined the police force and became a detective. His defining characteristic is his determination - and it's served him well for solving cases. He's been called a 'seeker of truth' and this extends not only in his work but also in a spiritual journey, where he's investigated a number of paths (some depicted in his various tattoos). Seeking the stability of some institution along with truths, he's joined the Freemasons and wears a ring signifying this. In general, Loki will do what he believes is morally right and he will risk his life without much thought to his own safety to save others, particularly children. He's a bit of a loner, but will be politely friendly to most people. He usually holds himself in a patient, calm way but there's a lot of emotions and rage bubbling under the surface. If you're a criminal or suspect, he can explode with fury and violence. These usually repressed emotions often come out as a pronounced blinking tic, indicating a lot of stress.
Any Warnings: Loki was abandoned as a baby and spent his childhood in boy's homes and other institutions, including juvenile detention as he went through a rebellious, delinquent stage brought on by likely abuse. He has a particular issue with religion and priests as a result, which caused him to look outside his raised faith.

About This Character: Morris is a genuine people person. He likes learning about people and is friendly and generally kind. However, that is not to say he's easy to manipulate. He's quick-witted and has strong moral character. While he's not a cruel man he can quickly dispatch somebody threatening him with a fast shot or punch. His gentle manner on the surface masks an inner toughness. He can seem naïve due to his lack of knowledge about modern things, being from 1851, but he's swift to pick up on new technologies and ideas and believes very much in equality and being an individual, not tethered to society rules.
Any Warnings: He had a strict high class upbringing which he turned his back on once he was old enough and harbours a lifelong hatred of his family and his father in particular. He's somewhat come to terms with this bitterness over time.

About This Character: Qifrey is a Professor to 4 young girls in canon. He's a witch first and foremost but he's also kind, patient, and a pretty good teacher when all is said in done. He can be a bit excitable but also a bit bloodthirsty when it comes to protecting his friends/disciples so there is that /sweats

He's also got a huge grudge against these antagonistic witches known as brimhats so he tends to go off the deep end when it comes to them?? But otherwise, he's chill and very excited to learn/see new magic and the like.

He's also a pretty good cook and is adept with water magic/glyphs. But he's also got a fear of water?? That might be something to look into.

Any Warnings: Child abuse and child experimentation, also eye gore I guess??

Present Life: For now he's just recovering from his injuries he's coming in with from canon, but otherwise he's pretty chilled out. Not going to mention he just erased his friends memories after telling him something extremely important, haha, nope.

Future Ideas: I guess open up to people more? Or even just maybe teach people some magic. Having new disciples here might be a good thing for him.

About This Character: Sara's pretty laid back and easy going on the surface. She carries around a lot of baggage that she tends to hide with snarky remarks and stupid jokes, but digging a little deeper might not go over so well unless you're someone she already trusts.

Any Warnings: Ex-assassin turned vigilante. Killed a lot of people in the past and then died and got brought back to life, which came with a good amount of bloodlust and a penchant for violence. So, yeah. That's fun.

Present Life: Sara, like most of the town, has just gone through a Very Rough October, both emotionally and physically. She's still recovering from a lot of shit, but she's got some good friends to help her through it, thankfully. Which basically consists of drinking heavily and lying around. Right now she's got a pretty undefined, non-exclusive Thing going on with Leonard McCoy, because why talk about feelings when you can just hook up casually and not talk about it instead?

Future Ideas: Open to lots of things for Sara, but no real big plans at the moment.

Employment in Deerington: Nowhere yet! It may take some time to get him out of his shell enough to be a part of the community.
Residence in Deerington: The House for Wayward Sons, with Dean and Cas of the endverse variety. He's due to have a room that he has no interest in actually making his own, so his idiot fam will have to add to it for him. Great.
Day to Day Activities: He will be completely and utterly cut off and will be staying exclusively at the farmhouse until someone can start leading him further away from it. He had spent a little time on his own in his first log, but feels he's not safe to be around. As such, he'll be outside of the farmhouse doing labor like gardening or fixing up anything that needs fixing, or will generally be... uh... sitting around in the house staring at some walls. The guy has a lot of work to do mentally.

About This Character: Sam is a genuinely good dude, he just... has a lot of shit going on in his head and past. He is guilt-ridden, has poor self-worth, and feels he's a threat to anyone he meets. That's just kind of what happens when you're tormented by satan, give him your body, and then he uses it to wipe out most of humanity. As such, he's not the friendlier, more stable fella you might run into in a different verse. But by god, he'll do his best.

He's really into hunting, any topic that strays into the area of it will have his full and complete attention, this includes completely mundane hunting and monster extermination. He's also a family man and is rather lonely right now, with no one in the apartment but him. He's used to having two little children and a wife around, so in spite of him not liking crowds he still tends to hang around where people are in order to stave off that loneliness.

Any Warnings: While he can't remember it clearly, Gascoigne was eventually overtaken by the beast plague in Yharnam, and ended up killing his wife in a fit of bloodlust, as he was no longer able to recognize her as human. About This Character: Local Ace pilot goes on a deep space exploration mission, gets abducted by aliens, tortured and experimented on. Escapes back to Earth and accidentally adopts a bunch of reckless teenagers -- and then they're all kidnapped by a giant robot lion and strongarmed into fighting a space war for the freedom of all sentient beings. Loves space and astronomy, can drive or fly just about anything. Hopeless in the kitchen. Loves bad jokes and uses them as a coping mechanism. His teammates are his family.

Any Warnings: He's got a LOT of signs/symptoms of PTSD, anxiety/flashbacks/etc. Most of those flashbacks relate to violence and/or medical trauma and experimentation. It's not clear what exactly happened beyond "really bad stuff", but I try and warn for it regardless.

No school because that sounds horrible, even if it does pay.

About This Character: Nico is morbid, sarcastic, stubborn, self-loathing and nosy. He's got a short fuse and a suspicious nature, what's not to love? Nico ran away into the woods at eleven because he loves to be dramatic and basically no one managed (or... tried...) to actually corner him and re-civilize him until very recent canon, so if you need a weird feral spook factory to attend parties and/or throw down with monsters on your behalf, he's your guy. Once he attaches emotionally he can be supportive, sensitive and very protective, but it takes awhile to get him there because he's got about a million trust issues. Also he is an absolutely massive nerd of the cards/tabletop/arcade sort of flavor, and he's slowly learning to re-embrace that part of himself in game after trauma made him shut it down super hard back home.
Any Warnings: Greek Myths get pretty messed up and involve a lot of death/torture/lack of consent, and while the first two might be something that Nico will bring up, he might also vaguely reference myths that do involve the third. Also struggled through a lot of repression and self-loathing involving his homosexuality, and he dealt with more than a little bit of supernatural violence and two supernatural wars.

About This Character: Tim is an anthropologist by academic training, worked in publishing, and at the Magnus Institute from about four years. It was a pretty sweet gig to start with - and in the last year or so, it was definitely not a sweet gig. He comes off as bright and happy go lucky, for the most part, but it's easy to bump into his sarcasm and more acidic nature, which is closer to the surface now that it has been for a while in the wake of his arrival and the trauma of his last few months back home.
Any Warnings: Tim's canon works with elements of horror, and specific elements of Tim's history include body horror, post traumatic stress reactions, death of loved ones, and character death. Recent events in October that may come up in November threads include character death, mental manipulation, and mild trauma response.

Present Life: Death flu has Tim feeling like a pathetic mess at the moment, and he'll be that way for all of November, but he'll be picking up. In canon he's the newly crowned Emperor of the Galra after killing his dad, and his parents were super abusive so uh. He's got a lot of trust issues and tends to use his words to get out of most situations. Knows he's smart and is kind of an ass about it.
Any Warnings: He's one of the poster children of child abuse and most likely has PTSD. Mentions of the Alteans on his colony dying, but it was never determined how or why so I'm just gonna shrug.

Present Life: Lotor's biggest life theme at the moment is trying to get Allura to understand that the Altean colony was a lot more than just a quintessence harvesting horror show. About This Character: Will is from 80's Nostalgia: The Netflix Show, and specifically comes from near the end of S2. Super succinctly, he was abducted into an alternate dimension in S1, then was possessed by a monster from said dimension in S2. It's fine, he got better (mostly).
Any Warnings: Will is the token son of the Cool Mom and the Deadbeat Dad, so periodic warnings for verbal/emotional abuse of the shitty dad variety. There's also a metric shitton of trauma and PTSD associated with the abduction/possession thing. It's great!

Present Life: Will has been in-game for over a year and has sort of settled into this being his life for the foreseeable future. Recently he's relieved to have his surrogate mom parent Steve Harrington back, and is trying to step up accordingly and help take care of the newer Deerington residents (basically transforming into Joyce Byers 2.0). He and Mike finally talked about Feelings and Stuff (only took 15 months), and Will is struggling with the knowledge that the happiness he's found in Deerington is very temporary, and that the real world is inevitable. He's also struggling with some bad PTSD/flashbacks of his possession lately, and the resumed presence of Something in his head...
Future Ideas: SO ABOUT THAT -- succinctly Will was yanked from a canonpoint where he was completely possessed by an eldritch god from another dimension. The monster didn't fully come with him, but it wasn't a clean break (think yanking up a deeply-rooted plant and leaving clumps of the root still there). Over a year of Deerington shenanigans + multiple monster transformations (namely in October) have made those traces stronger and stronger. Eventually I want this to come to a tipping point and have shit hit the fan.

Also y'know, maybe let him have One Nice Day.

CR You Want: EVERYTHING Will tries his best to be welcoming and helpful to anyone, if he can, even if he's naturally on the shy/awkward side. About This Character: This is Earth-616 Logan, but the attitude doesn't change much across mediums. Alignment: Chaotic-tired. Bitterly apathetic on the outside. Warm and fuzzy on the inside. I apologize if he makes small talk difficult at first, but he will come around for just about anyone who's earnest and patient with him.

Present Life: Logan comes to Deerington from being dead in canon. Then he got possessed by a monster from another dimension and it traumatized him enough that he's started to re-think his past behavior. Secretly a huge momma's boy that just wants to hang out on the beach and surf.
Any Warnings: Child abuse and spousal abuse could both come up (though the latter is unlikely to unless they're specifically talking about his mom).

Present Life: He's in a relationship, and living in a huge house with too many kids in it that he has to tolerate. He's working on his anger issues and is making pretty good progress on that. He's picked up the guitar as a hobby and is trying that out as an alternative to his previous hobby, getting into fights with everyone. He is no longer possessed, so that's a relief.
Future Ideas: Nothing set in stone yet, I'm still finding my footing again.

Day to Day Activities: Aside from ordinary errands, Gar patrols around in search of danger (often in the form of other animals). He also regularly works out and trains. He spends time with friends, hangs out at the library to study stuff, seeks out more animals to transform into and looks around for entertainment such as videos and video games.

About This Character: Gar's a young superhero with the ability to transform into any animal he encounters. He's generally friendly and fun-loving, with a bit of a goofy and sometimes mischievous sense of humor. At the same time, he has a strong sense of responsibility that has been tempered from his time leading a team back home known as The Outsiders, and he tries to look out for others emotionally as well as physically. He also carries his own share of trauma from having lost many important people in his life.
Any Warnings: Gar won't necessarily bring his past up in casual conversation, but if he does, it does involve the deaths of others, including parental death (which also involves mind control-induced suicide). If Gar talks about his recent past back home, it would likely involve talk of human trafficking (a superhero varient involving exploitation of superpowers, including child soldiers and deaths of minors).

Present Life: Last month, Gar turned into an actual beast for a while and caused some trouble, so he's been remorseful about that. It's also his birthday this month, but that might just end up being handwaved. Otherwise he's just living life here and ready to roll with the punches. And also ready to roll with the event over here!
Future Ideas: In general, I'm partially going through the flow and just looking to build up CR and for chances for good character development for Gar. Another idea I've been meaning to do sometime has been to have Gar find and show videos of shows from his own world, including the one that his mom starred in (a cheesy old sitcom) and the one that he's in (a Star Trek-esque scifi show), and also to have him come across the Teen Titans cartoon on top of that.

About This Character: A girl from World War II, she's recently come back into possession of her memories from when she was a child. Prior she'd forgotten every from before the age of 9, but now she's got it all back after traveling through her broken memories trying to piece them together and reliving all her trauma as an adult.

She's very sweet, very kind, and tries her best to be unassuming and not draw attention to herself or a burden to anyone around her. However, due to her past, she's also made a promise to herself to stand up for herself more... she just needs the reminder to do so.

Any Warnings: Jennifer's canon deals heavily with themes of murder, child abuse, bullying, pedophilia/sexual abuse of minors, animal abuse/death/killing, suicide, gender fuckery, and a lot about romantic and sexual themes revolving around young girls (with each other). These won't be sprung up without warning and Jennifer herself most likely won't mention it unless prompted enough, but it's something to keep in mind.

The things that probably will be frequently mentioned, at least in the brackets/introspection parts of tags, are: animal abuse, murder, mild gender things, and bullying. If you want these limited when threading with you, or not mentioned at all, OR if you don't want me tagging you at all, please let me know!

A lot of Jen's canon deals with Jennifer exploring these themes viewed through the eyes of a child so things got distorted in her memories and are usually under heavy layers of symbolism. I can expand more of stuff if people want specifics of what things might entail.

About This Character: Richie is one of the seven members of the Losers’ Club of 1989, and is also known as Trashmouth. spend more than ten minutes with him and you’ll see why: if a dirty joke occurs to him, chances are he will say it immediately with no apparent thought to its impropriety. he’s somewhat cynical for a teenager, which is understandable when you consider he’s from a Stephen King novel, and likes to make fun of things. he is also fiercely loyal to his friends, having been known to swing a baseball bat at killer clowns should they harm one of them. this iteration of Richie comes with just under a year’s worth of CRAU experience in Mask or Menace, so he also brings superpowers with him: voice mimicry, age shifting (physically shapeshifting from 14 yo to 40 and back again, no he can't do any other ages, it's awful), and a Tasha’s Hideous Laughter rip-off. the last two have been warped to cause him pain if he tries to use them, but at least he can still do voices??

Present Life: Richie has, uh, not had a great October. he blew up at Eddie out of terror and internalized homophobia after seeing Eddie's memories of kissing a previous Richie, and he regretted it and the radio silence immediately and is trying to make up for it. he has no idea Eddie is currently possessed, but he is definitely more than a little worried about him, believing that Eddie is suffering some kind of weird post-October problems. also, another of his best friends just left the game so he's reeling from that and trying to not look at that, and another of his friends has just come back from the dead and is suffering from death amnesia. he's VERY ADAMANT that he won't be going anywhere near the sinkholes, and is currently just lying low. he won't be getting an event top-level bc I'm Lazy and also he doesn't wanna go near the sinkholes, but I do have plans for him to haul home monster skeletons from The Mist.
Future Ideas: WELL I am planning on having him do the age shifting more again, although it's currently pretty painful for him. he'll be planning to get it stabilized just as soon as everything calms down and people aren't dying and Eddie isn't acting weird, so watch out for a network post asking after tips re: getting powers stabilized, possibly. also, he's going to be experiencing some actual, non-superpower-related growth spurts and dealing with the embarrassment of having his voice crack in a post, probably in December or something. also, having him poke his toe out of the closet a little more.
